I first went to Kim last week… she was booked up when I called but once she heard I was in pain, she actually stayed after hours to fit me in! She listened to me and knew what I needed! I did try the cupping and it, along with her techniques, did the trick! I’ve been seeing different massage therapists for many years and it usually takes about 2 days minimal for me to finally get relief but once I left her, I felt pretty good. Kim is a gem. I went in for a 90min therapeutic massage. I wanted intense treatment, not butterfly kisses. I read the previous reviews and was intrigued. It had been years since I’d had traditional cupping done. Her style and methods are intense, but very effective. Most massages begin and end on the table. The exception is Kim. She offers a service I’d not found in the valley previously and she’s freaking great at it. If you want to get thru the ski season or MTB season feeling your best or just want your body and mind to feel hella better, get on her schedule. Kim is easy to communicate with and listened when I needed to dial it back in problem areas. I trust her guidance and her ability. I feel 100% better even 8 hours after treatment.

I was looking for a massage therapist that does cranialsacral massages. Kim was great with scheduling me at a time that worked for both of us. Kim took the time to understand what type of massage I was looking for, and why. Through our initial conversation about my desired outcome of the massage. Kim asked if I had ever used cupping, and I had not. I have seen athletes with cupping marks, but had never tried it myself. I injured my back over a decade ago, and agreed to the cupping because it reminder me of my physical therapist who use myofacial release techniques with me. I wanted to use cupping, and combine it with a cranialsacral massage. Within a few moments of placing the cups on my back. I immediately felt a pressure/sensation release in my right foot that is tied to a L5-S1 radiant nerve issue since my original back injury. This sensation was similar to my myofascial physical therapist results. I could actually feel my toes again, and it felt amazing! The cupping of my back released tension in my upper back too. When I was done with the cupping, and cranialsacral massage I was pleasantly surprised how little pressure I felt in my foot, how straight I was standing, and relaxed. These were amazing results for me. I have already been back twice, and my body continues to feel better, and better. Kim's massages have really had a positive impact on my daily life.

I got cupping for the first time and it helped my back a lot! Kim does the traditional cupping method, which I appreciated. I've had chronic back pain that has changed over time, but it's centralized in my lower back and sacrum. Kim did a little bit of Shiatsu to loosen things up and then placed a bunch of cups all over. There was no pain, and the pulling sensation felt really good. Afterward, my back felt more agile and less stiff. The next morning I felt much better than I usually do. Even a few days after, I feel more nimble and able to bend over more easily. I'll definitely be coming back!

I contacted Emissary of Light regarding pain I was having in my back and shoulder and found out that Kim had just had her previous office space burn down a week earlier and was just into her new location and getting rolling again. Despite all that she was going through, Kim still managed to work me in just one day later, on Sunday, in her new space. The office she is in now is very attractive and comfortable and I enjoyed the environment thoroughly. The area is good, the building is well maintained, the community area is professional (but modern) and she had done an excellent job of creating a relaxing environment in her space. Kim did an excellent job, combining cupping and massage therapy. She really listened to where I told her my problem areas were, and then focused on those areas. My session exceeded my expectations and I left with my shoulder and back feeling better than they have in ages. I would highly recommend Kim to others and will definitely be back for another session. As a martial artist, I sometimes run into muscular issues that hinder me from using techniques as efficiently as I can. When I went to see Kimberly, it was for deep tissue massage to loosen tight trapezius muscles that got in the way of movements initiated by the scapula. Kimberly covered all the major muscle groups but focused on the problem areas. She was very intuitive about how to treat different tissue areas and brought a good energy to our communication about how the massage was going. This is especially important for deep tissue massage because clients have widely varying prior experience and pain thresholds, that the therapist must become familiar with on the fly. I would note that unlike many therapists I've worked with, Kimberly is very straightforward when she speaks, which I appreciate because you don't want to be second-guessing what the therapist is thinking in the middle of treatment. On Kimberly's advice, I also received a cupping treatment which, although I can't comment on the execution due to lack of specific knowledge, did leave me feeling very physically relaxed after the treatment. Problems like mine typically take multiple sessions to fully address. That was true in this case, but I felt a significant improvement in my shoulder mobility despite the fact that this was only my first time working with Kimberly. Overall, I was very satisfied with the treatment I received and would happily engage Kimberly's services again if opportunity permits.

Kim was so attentive as a massage therapist. I typically prefer a light to medium pressure massage and she was always communicating throughout the session to make sure I was comfortable and feeling good. You can just tell that she's a professional because of the way she handles your body. She can tell what's wrong and how to make it feel better. I also did a cupping session with her and she was so skilled with them! I appreciated how she warned me that the cups would feel tight at first, but would ease up after a few minutes. I had to have back surgery due to a car accident and have battled serious pain from tight hips as a result. Kim's ability to open my hips was like no other. Highly recommended. I had an excellent massage/experience with Kim. While visiting Salt Lake on a skiing trip with the family; I decided I needed a rest day to recuperate and book a massage. I have a chronically sore shoulder/neck and ankle from some prior injuries which Kim worked out perfectly. Kim was very aware and tuned into how I was feeling (how was the pressure? Is this OK? I was visiting Utah & really needed to release some deep muscle and energetic congestion carried in my back and shoulders. I never had a massage before so going into this I was pretty nervous. I used to do taekwondo for 15 years and never really took care of myself. I rock climbed a lot but I had an accident that made me skeptical about rock climbing again. I had some tremendous pain in my shoulder blade from either pulling something from a cold exercise or from sleeping on my side, or maybe stress that built itself up and that's where it decided to knot up, that transferred from my left to my right in the weirdest way I've ever experienced. Beautiful energy during my session. My first time trying the Cupping method and during the cupping, she will put a flammable substance such as alcohol or herbs, in a cup and set it on fire. As the fire goes out, she puts the cup upside down on your skin. It was not painful for me but pressure that slowly intensifies. I left feeling tall, clear minded and my headache had subsided.
