He even managed to recommend a new product to style my hair, a powder that I now love to use! Would definitely recommend going to Joel and getting a haircut, your hair is in great hands.

I am so grateful that this school exists. I live with chronic muscle, joint and nerve pain. Affordable treatment allows me to schedule regularly. I've never had a bad massage here and I've been to a decent amount of places. The regularity and quality of massages are so helpful in managing my symptoms. Last night I had Amethyst for the second time and both massages left me feeling FANTASTIC, which is rare for me to be able to honestly say. I left with no pain or tightness and completely relaxed. The overall experience was a 14 out of 10. The atmosphere, pressure, flow, knowledge of anatomy and attention to individual needs were all well above any standard expectations of the service. Thank you! I wish you the best in a career that will certainly take you places with such skills!! Last week I was blown away when the professor enlightened me that I had just received Kim's first massage. It had been another superb session meeting all of my needs and VERY professional!! Anyone would be foolish not to utilize this opportunity for professional level services, knowledge and care!!

She checked in with me every step and wasn’t afraid to check in with her instructors to make sure she was giving me the best look she could. I’m so happy with this experience and also she seems very patient with her clients she lesson to what we want and do it in a great way. also my mother in law she’s in her 70th had the back facial with AFRAA and she felt way better after that because she had a lower back pain always so AFRAA was great with her tension spots and really helped.

There is significant hands-on experience and the faculty and administration are passionate about learning. SPA Tech draws a diverse student body enriching the educational experience where I met new life-long friends and colleagues. As a Corrective Exercise Specialist, I address and fix musculoskeletal imbalances and movement compensations that cause pain and lead to injuries. In conjunction being a Licensed Massage Therapist, I am far more effective with my clients by applying the bodywork techniques I learned at SPA Tech to manually expedite their pain relief and improvement of their functional capability. Putting a smile on a person's face who is relieved of pain and feeling functionally better about their body is priceless.

I was here for a facial with Tabatha ! I have been in hotel spas , in clinics but this facial was absolutely amazing. Tabatha took her time and did an absolute great job. I got a foot massage as well while I had the mask on my face. The whole experience was marvelous! So let me go to the price section which you will love as you will pay a half or third of the price you will pay somewhere else. The front desk was very professional and everyone was happy and helpful. Thank you Tabatha and the Spa tech institute for having such great services. Will be back in a month. My face is glowing!

Every time I go to this place I always leave satisfied. I go to one person for my hair and honestly she is great, she is very skilled and clearly loves what she does shout out to Jada! Highly recommend her. She just did this dark teal and lime green highlight streak look on me (photos below.) And I go almost every week for a massage it is honestly the best for the price 100% hands down love this place! ❤️

I had a wonderful enzyme peel, microdermabrasion, facial from Jade a student in Aesthetics. She is going to be quite the asset for her employer. So glad I had the opportunity to have her work on me. Had an amazing back facial a few weeks ago with Jocelyn. I love the services offered at spa tech and the students are awesome. Today I had my eyelashes tinted with Hannah she did a wonderful job. Had an amazing back facial with the lovely Carla d. My skin is feeling really good today. Btw this is your favorite student summer. Love my educational experience and am so excited about starting my new career. Had another back facial with Stephen. Great experience 2x now! Had Lauren give me a hair cut on my first visit and she listened and didnt dissappoint! I have really long hair and am funny about much is cut off and some stylist do what they think is best and take too much off despite me saying no more than a few inches. Just went back and had Lauren do a highlight, first time in 7 years Ive put any color in my hair and I showed her a picture of what it used to look like and she did a great job!!! I wanted to try an undercut (my first time having one) and she seemed a little nervous at first because she hadn't done one before, but she did a great job and I'm really happy with the result! She also gave me a great wash and trim. I will definitely be back. It was a fun environment and the instructors were very professional as they helped the students. I also want to give props to Kaitlyn and Ashley who have since worked on my hair. Love the clinic, I'll keep coming back. The students are enthusiastic and do great work.

I recently went to Spa Tech and was assigned to Sara for a haircut. She did an absolutely amazing job! It’s one of the best haircuts I have been given in several years (even considering salons where I have paid dearly to try and get such a cut). She deftly managed to work the 3 “cowlicks” under control and expertly thinned the mass of hair. It’s been over 2 weeks since the cut; it continues to be easy to manage as well as looks stylish. Finally the massage clinics are open!! I really needed a therapeutic massage during Covid times. My therapist, Kimberly was excellent and addressed every issue that bothered me. Before my treatment I was in so much pain and even limping. My sciatic, hip and shoulder pain is much improved. I was able to see her again and I’m so much better. I went to Spa Tech yesterday for a hair cut, for the first time. Sydney Pettengill was the student who cut my hair. She was welcoming, warm and friendly. I have very thick, wavy hair and the style I requested required a razor cut. She was not shy about admitting she was not too familiar with using a razor to cut and sought assistance from her instructors. As she was cutting my hair I could sense her becoming more and more confident with her technique! The instructors were very professional in their response to her questions and provided exceptional guidance. I am pretty sure I presented a challenge for Sydney but she took her time and rose to that challenge very well.Consequently, I ended up with a great hair cut! Wonderful experience, I would definitely enjoy having her cut my hair again!

Went to get a cut and color and I’m very happy with the results! This was my first time getting a haircut in over 3 years and Sarah Avery took great care of me. She knew I was very nervous about cutting my hair and explained just how much she was going to cut off and why (I had lots of split ends). She also gave me a great balayage that really helped lighten up my hair. It looks so pretty! We also added the most subtle bits of peachy pink in as a “gateway to color” as she called it. Will definitely be going back for my next trim and touch up!!

In the interest of full-disclosure, I am a Spa Tech graduate and, now, instructor after working as a massage therapist since 2011. 1/8/2020: I received a session from Jessie Brown who is part-way through her therapeutic massage program. She has a very up-beat personality and was very professional in asking for and discussing what areas needed the most attention in the time we had available. She used a firm pressure and applied it with her knowledge of anatomy to target my chronically tight rotator cuff muscles. I gave her some feedback, which she graciously accepted -- she's one of those students that I would hire immediately if she was graduating tomorrow. As she moves into the more advanced massage techniques, she's only going to keep getting better, and I can't wait to see how she grows!

I went to get my hair a bright lime green, which isn’t an easy color to get. Jazlyn did an amazing job making it happen. She took the extra time to get the color perfect and worked past what she was scheduled to make sure my hair looked amazing. She also did awesome putting purple in my bangs and cutting them to a face frame. The atmosphere is good too and they are just as good as a professional salon if not better. I would definitely go back and recommend!

Today Amanda Johnson cut and styled my hair. Prior to my appointment I was very nervous due to fears of past bad hair cuts. I have long hair and in the past had to cut it short due to botched cuts. Amanda minimized those fears with her warm friendly personality. She listened to my wants and needs and did an amazing job! She also educated me on how to style my hair and the products I should be using and how to prevent hair breakage. My hair came out fabulous! She also waxed my brows and educated me on what I should be doing to allow them to grow in (I was one of those teens who over plucked years ago). 10/10 would recommend attending Spa Tech for Massage Therapy. As a massage therapist my standards are high for a massage. I get one at least monthly. I live in Florida now and have yet to get a massage as good as the ones I got from my fellow classmates. Spa Tech teaches the best techniques and really makes sure students feel confident in what they’re doing before they graduate. My teachers and advisor were amazing too. I just finished a college Anatomy and Physiology course and learned so much more from my A&P teachers at Spa Tech(s/o to Abby and Lisa). I really feel I got a great education there.

2/21/2019 UPDATE - Today's visit with SHEENA was a color with highlight and low light foils. Sheena was very patient with not only me and all my questions about adding low lights, but also with the morning stress that a snow storm brings. She kept any stress she may have been experiencing at the curb, very professional, very attentive. The end result was phenomenal. The depth that the low lights gave my hair gave me an entire new look, while also not altering my look too much. (Sheena knows that "change" for me has to be in baby steps.) I felt like the chairs were poorly set up and it was hard not to feel in the way as people were checking out/students were leaving.

I go to the student massage clinic a couple of times a month and it's great! Can't beat the value. I wouldn't necessarily recommend going for a 'sports/deep tissue massage' as they usually stick with the relaxing stuff but if you get Julia LoSauto you're in for a real treat. During those 6 months I encountered numerous obstacles that any other school may not have had such patience for. I first met with Michelle who was encouraging and uplifting, she gave me the confidence to sign up for school, next was Angela , she helped me get my financial paperwork filled out with such patience , I may have needed to be promoted 1-17 times . The director of the school, Peggy always had great knowledge to share , and such a strong presence . But I think the most mentionable person with my education experience was Jules , or Julia Nason. My journey started in 2018 when the first face I saw was, Carolyn who manages the front desk with grace, patience and humor. Angela who is very kind and funny worked with me to make a comprehensive financial aid package. Michelle clearly loves her job and has a wealth of real world knowledge on how to get people to come to events and how to make incoming potential students feel like they are already home. Doreen, Candace and Christine the Aesthetics instructors had far more faith in me than I ever did and with the completion 600hrs and passing of Boards I am a Licensed Aesthetician. Peggy and Julia have a very special gift for knowing exactly what I need before I was aware that I needed anything at all. Like returning for another 600hrs to become a Massage Thereapist, or spending extra hrs helping me moldmy craft and most importantly creating a safe space to heal and grow. Patrice, Shelby, Abigail, Lucie, John and Yolanda are only a few of the Massage and Polarity Instructors all dedicated and knowledgeable professionals in their own right. They hold each other and their students at their highest. They taught me the skills to do the same with myself, my family and my community. Last but never least, Niki and all the women who work tirelessly behind the scenes in the office you are amazing, always availible and willing to help me when I was feeling overwhelmed. Schooling in the time of Covid was not easy but the staff/educators at Spa Tech rocked it. We had one week off and in that time they were able to get lecture classes online. Once we returned to in person classes they were able to make a system that benefited all students, while keeping us all safe. Zowi, who cut my hair was very neat, well groomed and professional. She sought a consult from one of the instructors prior to the cut. I recently went in for a hair cut from Meghan Pearson and was greatly rewarded with a cut that finally met my needs . I have a difficult area where my hair parts and has a little bit of a receding hairline. The hair dresser managed to blend the cuts so that even when the wind blows or I am working outside and I take off my hat , my hair blends together so that I am not self conscious of two different lengths of hair overlapping where my hair parts. Very impressive work, in a very professional atmosphere.

Had my first massage in a while today. Decided to give Spa Tech a try and I'm glad I did. I was in a rollover accident in Dec. And have been under chiropractic care. The massage today was just what I needed. Angela was very thorough, including range of motion work on my injured shoulders. She worked out lots of stiffness with just the right amount of pressure. It was very helpful, wish I could get another appt. Sooner. The reason I gave a 4 instead of five was that I wasn't told when I scheduled the appt to arrive early for paperwork. Angela was very considerate and made sure I had full hour of massage in spite of front desk confusion. It seemed like there were a few bugs to work out, but all staff were very pleasant. Don't hesitate to choose this facility.

The Massage Therapy program is so great here!! Julia Nason + Jim McClendon do a great job supporting the student massage therapists. The program - which is a 600 hour program - took a little longer than expected due to Covid-19 postponing life. However Julia made sure to keep us students in the loop through the crazy unforeseen times and help us feel supported and engaged. Our graduation is this Thursday 8/27 and I’m so excited to be a licensed massage therapist in Maine. I learned so much and more throughout this program + I am so thankful for this experience. I know that even after I graduate I can go to Julia and Jim for any questions I might have in the future! If you want to be a massage therapist definitely go to Spa Tech Institute in Westbrook, Maine!

PROs and CONs of "The Day of Beauty" at Spa Tech, Westbrook. What they say "day", they really mean a day. PROS: $30 for a manicure, facial, scalp treatment, hair cut, shampoo and style. Yes, you read that right, only $30 for ALL of that! I got to pick my nail color, relax with a warm towel facial, feel my scalp tingle from the treatment and cut off 8 inches of hair! Everyone is so kind. The students seem to like each other and the instructors were great. Each student has their own station to call home. It's a pretty busy place! Loads of options for things to be done there! The Day Of Beauty was what I signed up for, but they offer a ton of other things. Waxing, makeup, eyebrows, messages, pedicures, specialized facials, etc. CONS: The earliest appointment option is 10am and only weekdays. I checked out of there at 2:50 pm. No breaks, no lunch, though water was provided. (Aka, bring a snack or two!) The quality of the nail polish doesn't feel great. Maybe it's the finish they used? I picked an Opi color since I like the brand, but my nails still feel tacky and the color feels soft. It was just a lot longer of a day than I anticipated. Luckily, I'm a very patient person and had nowhere to be, so it didn't matter for me, but if you're going to make plans for after this package deal, be sure it's evening plans. TDLR; I will for sure be back, but for one service at a time since it takes awhile. The price is definitely right!

I can't really say I had a great experience, I was there from 12:45-5:30ish, we did start till almost 1:30 because we were waiting for an instructor, I was ok with that, I was dying my hair and getting strips of red in my hair, I was asked if I wanted more than the 4 strips of color in my hair on each side of my head and I said yes I want some in the back, I said this many times, I only got the 8 strips....the student walked of many times because she didn't understand what she was doing (I understand cuz the are learning) she was very nice and seemed happy that she was doing color....i left with color all over my forehead and to be honest I'm not really happy with what I paid with not getting more strips of color, that was the point of going here * I did want to update that spa tech is fixing what happened, so I'm willing to give it another try at at time...ty....change my 3 stars to 4 for the great quick response
