I’m not much of a reviewer, but once in a while I have such an above and beyond experience that I’ve got to share it! I booked an hour long medical massage because of a lot of painful knots in my neck and back. Upon entering the room, Ted made it a point to welcome me and immediately connect with me by shaking my hand and looking me in the eyes. I don’t know about anyone else, but genuine connection means a lot to me personally. It’s a small detail, but a significant one. I instantly felt that he was well intentioned. After explaining to him what was bothering me and what I wanted to focus on, he explained that it was as much about me letting go and releasing as it is about him releasing tension for me. Putting it that way really helped me going into the massage. He was very kind with a gentle manner and he helped to relieve tension in places I didn’t even realize I was holding it! Super knowledgeable—you can tell he’s dedicated to what he does. Such a better experience than any chain massage place or spa if you’re really looking to work those trigger points! I definitely plan to book more sessions with him. If you’re holding back because you feel it’s more expensive than the average massage, just know it’s totally worth it!!

I came to see Tom feeling frustrated and broke down. Just about everything hurt. My sleep has been affected, I’ve been uncomfortable all day. The Muscle Mechanic came up in my search. I booked because of all the great reviews and I am NOT disappointed! Tom is engaging, he listens, obviously very knowledgeable about the body. Nothing was rushed, he brought focused intention and healing energy to his practice. He seemed to instinctively know what I needed and asked for feedback throughout. True therapy! Having been a regular client of the Muscle Mechanic for 10 years, it is easy for me to give Ted an enthusiastic five stars. It is more difficult to describe the incredibly positive impact my weekly massage sessions have on my overall well being. Ted is always professional, respectful, and empathetic. His easy going manner will allow you to relax into the massage experience and let go of your physical tension and emotional stresses as he works on your body. He will listen to your complaints and address them during the massage. Due to his vast knowledge of the musculoskeletal system, he is not only able to address the specific areas of discomfort but usually finds the source of the problem and works that out as well. He uses multiple techniques including pressure point massage on your trigger points, overall deep tissue massage, and cupping. He is passionate about massage therapy and genuinely wants his client to improve as a result of the session. He has dramatically increased the range of motion in my neck and shoulders and kept my trapezius muscle spasms to a minimum. The left sided trigger point pain I experienced in my levator scapulae for 18 months before I started seeing him is gone. Whether you’re able to see Ted a few times or become a lifetime regular, you will benefit endlessly from each visit.

Ted is walking in his purpose! Period! He is spiritually inclined and has self awareness. He is amazing and very intuitive! He never studied energy work, but I can feel him helping me release the trauma held in my body as he release the tension in my muscles. I felt more relief from this session than most of my past massages with others and he didn’t even massage me. He basically found pressure points and knots in my body and spiritually/physically helped me remove them. This was my first session with him and he could tell I wasn’t totally comfortable. He was patient with me, made sure I was comfortable, and adjusted the session for my comfort! I HIGHLY recommend him!!!!!!!

I found Ted on Google and read all the great reviews. I reached out to him to explain I was looking for someone that was willing to work with my father, who suffered a spinal stroke. (a rare diagnosis that causes paralysis in your lower body) He was open and willing to assist and work with my dad however he could. He was accommodating and came to the house to work with him. Muscle mechanic gave me a work over. First of all, great guy, professional, friendly, etc. Second, great massage, I don’t have a ton of experience with massage maybe once a year or so but this was one of if not the best. I’ve already purchased another one and he says he now knows where to concentrate. Performed cupping on my back which was a new experience for me and I’m interested to see if I feel the difference later. Overall great experience and I would recommend to anyone else with stress, musculoskeletal issues, or I need of some relaxation. Great job!

I will never do justice in explaining how Ted is. In the last few years I’ve developed adult scoliosis. The muscle mechanic is true to his name and, in my opinion, absolutely unrivaled. If you have body pain, go to him!!! Dedicated, intuitive, and professionally versed in a myriad of medical massage forms. Seriously, do it.

Ted the Muscle Mechanic has a special gift that utilizes all three, in addition to “cupping”, which I’ve never heard of until I started seeing the Muscle Mechanic. I think I had some carpel tunnel problem that he corrected, that I didn’t think was possible. Very good service and also somehow relaxing.
