I booked a 60 minute student massage for this morning and it was awesome. I am not new to massages and out of dozens of masseuse over the years this student was one of the best hands down. I was convinced mid massage that a student must not have been available and an instructor was doing the massage but at the end when I asked she said no that she was indeed a student. I have been traveling a lot lately and handling heavy luggage at airports and cruise ports. All of that has had my neck, shoulders, and back feeling the wear and tear. I feel rejuvenated after today's massage. I highly recommend this business!

Saki and Keika are amazing! If we don't know that they are only students we would say that they are professionals. They were no idle team during our 120mins massage. I asked Saki to do a harder pressure and it was consistent all the way and always asking if the pressure is just alright. It's our best massage compared to all the other places we had already tried. The massage was great!!! I had Paris and she did a great job working out my stressed muscles. The atmosphere was not what I was expecting. It definitely seems a little off when you first walk in, but everything was fine once the massage started. If you are looking for a “spa” feeling, this is not the place, but the massages are EXCELLENT.

Hawaii Massage Clinic has been go-to for a quality massage. The prices are more than fair, especially if you're getting a massage by a Student (vs Licensed), and the level of service has always been consistent & top notch. Booking appointments is easy & response times have been quick. If you have the pleasure of booking with Misaki, you're in for a pure relaxation and muscle melting experience.. wait till she massages your scalp at the end.. I stopped short of purring. :)

This is an amazing place to get a massage. I first came here at the end of last year and started with a one-hour student massage. It was wonderful and relaxing, but I needed more. I moved up to an instructor massage and did a 90 minute with Meg. Meg is AWESOME. She works with your body and gets the knots out without you wincing in pain. You can make same-day or next-day appointments if you call early enough. This is the way to feeling better. It is a wonderful treat at a reasonable price.

I am making this a weekly self-care ritual and am so grateful for this school. I have had a different person each week and every massage has been great. My only “complaint” is I have to go to the bank in order to give a tip as I cannot add it to my credit card payment method. You won’t be disappointed by treating yourself to a massage here.

This was my first time at Hawaii Massage Clinic. Miho was great! She asked me what kind of pressure I wanted and I told her, “Medium to hard.” She found a way to make it medium where I was tender and hard where I needed it. They were prompt, courteous, and most of all you can’t beat the price! Too bad they don’t do prenatal massages. I will definitely be back again hopefully before I am pregnant :)

First time I had massage it was great. I asked for a harder pressure and the masseuse was able to provide it. This time the massage had no pressure whatsoever, I asked twice for harder pressure, but I guess she wasn’t sure how to do it. So was not happy for the second massage at all (((

Second day in Hawaii, I was looking for a relaxing 60 min massage after my 9hr flight. Yuko provided what I had requested, and I floated back to my hotel. I like supporting the learning of students, so this was the first place I chose. I wasn't disappointed and will return. One minor negative is that it can be a little noisy, but overall, and for the price, I totally recommend.

After some minor debate, my wife and I decided to give it a try. First appearance is old and a bit run down. Operates a little like a clinic. However, staff was immediately attentive on arrival, asked a lot of questions to ensure our experience was a good one! The experience was better than good!!! It was excellent!!! Very happy with quality of massage especially for the price of $38 for a 1 hour massage. It's a place where student massage therapists practice their skills on you for a discounted price. The last time, I wasn't that impressed but decided to give them another chance. This time my therapist was Saki and she was terrific. I could tell she knew her way around the musculoskeletal landscape. She quickly identified my tight and knotted spots and assailed them with a combination of rolling elbows and precision kneading fingers. Don't be shy to give feedback on pressure whether less pressure or make me cry like the buffet just ran out of bacon. The location is central Waikiki and I parked one block away towards the Ala Wai canal at the metered parking along Aloha Drive. The building itself is old but the actual massage facility on the 7th floor is very clean. You get a 10% discount when you show a local ID.

I was presently surprised, although its the cheapest massage in town, thanks to Takako it was also the best massage I've had far. I never had to ask for more or less pressure, and she never got stuck on one spot for too long. I'd highly recommend this place to anybody looking for a good massage around waikiki for a great price. Ask for Takako and you won't be disappointed. :)

Great massage at a great price. Place was clean, the masseuse was nice and there really is nothing to complain about. Not sure where you park for this place because we parked at the Waikiki Shopping Plaza thinking it was there, but it’s in a light blue building next to it—across the street from Ross. Do wish we were offered some water after the massage because we were really thirsty afterwards!

I’ve had two 90 min massages here and both were amazing. I believe my last massage was with Yuzo and it might have been the best one I’ve ever had and I have had many in my lifetime. The pressure was nice and firm and they hit the places that I requested. The only downside is that there are multiple massage tables in the same room that are separated by curtains. So you might hear people walking in and out for their appointments. But that is a small inconvenience that I am willing to accept for a great deal for an awesome massage.

I've been here once...referral from a coworker who goes here a few times. It was a good experience, my student massage therapist was good. She asked me if the pressure was good and when I requested more pressure she did it. I wish she did more on my neck, but maybe it wasn't enough time. The facility was clean and the atmosphere was good. Only criticism was the massage table was alittle hard. The cushion seemed worn. Staff was friendly including my student massage therapist. I will definitely go again, and provide better feedback but for now...it's 4 stars.

Extremely satisfied. My masseuse was professional in the process ensuring I was comfortable throughout the whole process. She released tension from points and muscles I didn't know I had. I have very sensitive feet due to diabetes but she able to not only work on them but made it feel so much better. Highly recommend this place.

I've been showing the business card to everyone. All took photos. I am so satisfied with their student massage therapists. Go to their website to make an appointment. They send you a pre-visit form to complete so you don't waste time completing it when you arrive. 55 for 90 minutes-non Hawaii resident and 45 for Hawaii residents. Must wear masks. I went for the moderate but probably could have used stronger. Just as well, I felt great when I left.

One of the best massages I’ve ever had. I signed up for a student massage and must have luckily got placed with an experienced therapist. I’m not a stranger to massage. My Massuse did a very thorough intake/interview. She knew anatomy of my muscles and ligaments. She was very responsive when I ask for more or less pressure. She was able to dig deep yet with just the right pressure to loosen muscles and ligaments without the pain that makes you tense up rather than relax. I will return next week.

My neck and back were feeling 100% better. Definitely recommend coming here for deep tissue massage to fix tight muscles. Very professional but bare bones rooms which I'm totally ok with! Everyone was very nice and accommodating.

On the day I went, all students were female and from what I saw, Asian (japanese mostly.) They were ALL so polite and friendly. Pressure was great and I left relaxed and satisfied. I think they specialize in lomilomi techniques whereas I'm used to getting deep tissue/sports massage so it was much lighter than I'm used to, but was still amazing. Building is a bit older, but the facility and environment was very clean and sanitary. Will def go back!

Student masseuse, Yasue, did a very good job during a 90 minute massage today. She adequately focused on my areas of concern (hip/low back) and applied the amount of hard pressure I requested. There was a nice mix of intensity and relaxation, using different massage techniques. I fell asleep at times during a couple of the more soothing segments. I love the value of the place, but it has also never disappointed me in terms of quality. They must do a good job of teaching, because every student has been superb and Yasue is evidently a good student. I will definitely go again.

This is the best value for money on the planet. The students are super serious. I hurt my back and was able to get Mako by chance. She has a fantastic attitude and hands of steel. He was able to crush my knotty muscles and because it was so affordable I was able to have session twice a week for a month. If you are a local of visiting from out of town this is worth the money.

The student therapist was fabulous, polite, and good communicator. Excellent massage, strong pressure, worked on pain points and reflexology. The location is convenient, low frills, massage stations separated by a curtain. No view, no changing area. Clean. I’d recommend the massage and you can’t beat the price. if you rehydrate after a massage, bring your own water.

This was my first time ever getting a professional massage and Hawaii Massage Clinic made it super easy. The student massage therapist who worked on me did an excellent job and I felt incredibly relaxed afterwards. Be aware this is a massage school in the heart of Waikiki, so you will likely hear some street noise as well as students and clients coming/going. But just focus on relaxing and you won't even mind. Getting a massage was an awesome way to start our vacation. This is one pop-up ad that was 110% worth clicking on! Highly recommend, and we will return.

Oh wow what a gem! I saw an ad on instagram (and of course mark Zuckerberg knows I needed a massage), and that's how I found them. Seems like it's run by Japanese ladies. My masseuse Miki was excellent! She's very polite and very grateful for my patronage. I didn't have high hopes as it's my first time receiving a student massage, but let me tell you she's better than some massage therapists out there (whether licensed or not but charging regular prices). She made sure I was comfortable as I kept adjusting my head position because some fabric was wrapped around my nose. She's sensitive to my needs. For all the previous times when I was adjusting my position, I can't recall any massage therapist asked if everything was OK. I asked for medium pressure and it was delivered. I don't know what style of massage that was, but she used both fingers and elbow. Usually I hate elbows but she did it so smoothly that it didn't hurt and didn't feel like it's bone on bone. She also used oil, and it wasn't too sticky or oily which was rare. I parked at the Wakīkī parking garage next to Ross. With validation after $10 purchase you should get 2 hours of parking for free. However I was in such a rush I just paid. It's $3 for 30 mins. Ouch!

Hawaii Massage Clinic is a massage school where students do the massages. I have now been there many times and each time the massage is very well done and leaves me feeling relaxed. They are very reasonably priced and if you pay for an hour they give you a full hour of massage. Each massage student knows exactly what they are doing and do an excellent job. The ambience is unassumingly simple and clean rooms with a massage table curtained off. Highly recommend for a high quality massage. Don’t miss this opportunity while here on vacation. Again, the best massage ever!

My son and I had a massage this morning. As a massage therapist myself, I was amazed with the skill of the students here. I am super picky, and the therapists here were phenomenal. I usually get a 90min or 120min massage monthly where I live. We got a 60min because I didn't want a therapist stuck working on a 12 year old for that long. My son usually tells therapists to apply more pressure, and he only had to ask once and his therapist gave the perfect pressure for him. Most therapists get nervous I guess because he is a child. Highly recommend these amazing students! I was shocked we were able to get in so quickly. Called at 9:15am and received a 10am massage.

Third visit here and the service is great. Although it is a student massage they know what they are doing and do it well. I had the same masseuse for the last two massages and she is very good. Gets all the knots out as well as relaxing all the tension out of me. The first masseuse I had was also very good, so I believe they must all be very well trained and confident in their skills. Great little massage school in Waikīkī across of Ross and above Musubi. I parked across at Ross and bought $10 worth of stuff to get validated parking. I’ve gotten several massages and my massage therapists were Chi, Yuzu, and Harhuro. They were all great! I got the one hour massages. I don’t have any back issues so I just did a regular full body. Every time I come back to the Hawaiian Kingdom from flying I need these massages they are a must! Thankful my friend recommended this place to me. I will be back! Thank you so much!

Literally just finished a 60 minute student massage with Miyuki and couldn’t be happier. Not only was she receptive to what I asked for, she had a lot of power and hand strength. Not a weak massage. She checked serval times on the level of pressure, and was just overall enjoyable. Parking sucks(I mean it is Waikiki), you can buy something at Ross across the street and validate parking there. Building looks dated but none of that matters when you pay for a 60minute massage and they go 61 minutes. No wasted time. 100% worth the low prices you pay. Miyuki was grateful for the tip. That’s not always the case at other places. I would recommend.

I've definitely paid more for less satisfying massages. Mizuki who's halfway through her year training was really good! Despite some language barrier she understood and focused where I'd asked and was just overall very gracious. The place is on the 7th floor of a very nondescript building and although it's not fancy inside there's a ton of open windows and fresh air. A client on the other side of my curtain was playing duo lingo which was mildly annoying yet funny and fortunately brief-- they should consider signage advising to silence their phones to respect other people's serenity. Music was Hawaiian ukulele and slack key which was a nice change from the Chinese CDs prone to skipping that I'm used to lol. The biggest challenge is parking. I lucked out to get a 2 hour street spot where a meter man was fixing the meter so he gave um to me for free but I think next time I'll just leave early by Biki. In the end I left happy and will be going back because it's high quality at a really good price (don't forget to tip!). Mahalo massage clinic!

I opted for a student massage because of the price! It was great quality for the cost and considering they are still students and not LMT’s. I wish I would have asked for hard pressure rather than medium/soft but no fault of my masseuse, she was wonderful! I did have a hard time relaxing due to the street noise outside, there was an altercation and the cops showed up with there sirens on and I could hear it all.. that is the only reason I am giving 4 stars instead of 5.

Another great massage! The building could use some renovation, but the student therapist rates can’t be beat, and quality of the massage has been excellent. I’ve gone at least half a dozen times in the past couple years. I only get the 2-hour massage now because I have no doubt that I’ll regret a shorter session afterwards. It’s hard to believe these massage therapist (MT’s) are just students. To keep things simple for my last MT (named Juri), I told her that I was a runner and needed her to focus on my low back and hip with heavy pressure. Her rolling forearm technique honed perfectly in on my QL and she addressed all the knots from that point down through the glute to my TFL with quality effleurage, and finished with nice upward sweeps for my sore adductors. Her pressure technique on the tender area surrounding around my kneecaps was also excellent. Juri, of course, also addressed the rest of my muscle groups with great professional care. The pressure was good, but I would have liked more. However, I did feel her trying and two hours is a long time for heavy pressure. Thank you, Juri and Hawaii Massage Clinic! I’ll definitely be back.

I challenge anyone to find a better value with the ongoing holiday specials that they currently have going on. Although my first visit was merely for the discounted rate previously, I was extremely satisfied with cleanliness, thorough massage provided and courteous and professional staff. The discounted rate does not take away from the complete massage that was provided. I would still make a massage appointment even without the specials and I definitely will after the specials expire. Please give this place a try. You will not be sorry you did. Don't let the label of "students" keep you from visiting.. they are very thorough and know what they are doing. Kudos to the instructors that are guiding the students along... they are quite exceptional at what they do.

I went into my massage session not knowing what to expect for the most part. These are students, and the price is just about half of what other places charge (as the saying goes, you get what you pay for). It might be good, might be bad....maybe somewhere in between. As the vast majority of other folks have been saying however, I was very pleasant surprised. My lomi lomi massage was excellent. Even though the massage was provided by a student, this was one of the *best* massages I have had in a very long time! The student therapist made sure the pressure was on point, and overall I was just so relaxed throughout my 90-minute session. That hour and a half flew by; next time I just might book a full 2 hours. When it was over, I thanked Yuka (I hope I spelled her name correctly), and explained that just a month earlier I had a Thai massage from one of the highest-rated massage businesses in Hawaii....and Yuka's massage was still better! I'm not exaggerating, that's how much I liked my massage. The only negative I can think of, is that the room is not air-conditioned. So if the sun is out in full force, and humidity is high....it can potentially get very hot (and you have a blanket draped over you too). It was perfect when I was there, so I'm not complaining, just thinking of what might possibly be a drawback for this clinic. But anyway, Hawaii Massage Clinic was an awesome find for me, and I will be sure to return whenever I can =] Thank you, HMC, and thank you Yuka! Update: it has been about 6-7 months since I wrote the above review, and 12-14 massages later (I lost count LoL), and I would not change a single word of that review (except the part about the air conditioning; it was working fine today). The students continue to amaze and impress me! Yuka, previously a student therapist but who has since graduated, had given me the best massage I had in my life. My student therapist today as well as the previous time I came, Sammy, came pretty darn close to matching that! I left today feeling so incredibly relaxed. I don't feel the need to go anywhere else for my massages. I feel so blessed to have found HMC =D Update: Yet another update. I've been here about 30 times now (in fact I just came back from a session), and my impressions of HMC are still incredibly positive. I've met yet another student therapist named Xiang Xiang, who has one-upped all the other previous experiences, and has given me, hands down, THE best massages I've EVER experienced in my life. I now get my massages from no other student except her, until she graduates (a day I won't look forward to, but will be very happy for her). I've come to her so often, that she no longer needs to ask me where on my body I need most work on. She does a pre-massage pressing on various areas, and knows right away. And then on top of that, she'll adjust the pressure and spent more time on the areas that are most tight and need work on, and go lighter and spend less time on other areas. And indeed, I never have to tell her to go lighter or harder. The pressure is so spot-on and perfect. To say that I am satisfied with HMC, is a huge understatement....and for what they charge, it's an absolute steal. The reason I write these updates is because I really do want to give shout-outs to this fabulous establishment and their hard-working, professional, and proficient students and staff. I can't recommend them enough =D

I had no trouble finding it, but could not find the entrance to the Ross parking garage - which is free if you purchase something (Ross is right across the street). I did park in the next door building, and it was $5 for 5 hours, so I didn't have to hurry after my massage. I would have preferred to not use the head rest while face down, but all else was great.

The Hawaii Massage Clinic was an excellent experience. I made my booking request online, and the clinic responded very quickly. I booked a two hour massage. At arrival, I was pleasantly greeted by the staff. They took all Covid safety precautions seriously. The studio was safe and clean and the patio doors were opened allowing fresh air in. The massage area and tables were thoroughly sanitized. I worked with a student therapist, Yuka. She was very professional, understanding of my therapy needs, and highly skilled. Although I physically appear healthy, I suffer from sciatic nerve pain. I explained my issues and she tailored the massage to fit my needs. Before and throughout the massage, she effectively communicated with me to ensure I had a successful therapeutic experience. I believe Yuka is highly talented and will have a prosperous career in holistic therapy. I give this massage studio five stars.

Love going to Hawaii Massage Clinic! Location is in Waikiki on Seaside Avenue across the street from Ross- and just 5 minute walk from me 😀 The school always has great enticing deals- on my first visit in November 2020, I enjoyed 120 minute massage for $50 😳 and on my second visit March 2021, it was $28 for 60 minute massage. Unbelievable, but in a good way! The clinic has great Covid safety protocols in place and the rooms are very clean, private and secure. On my second visit I was very lucky to have student Hiro-san work on me. He paid special attention to my injured shoulder. His pressure was great- I enjoy strong pressure. He asked what area(s) might be bugging me and he focused on that, however in addition he massaged me from head to toe. It was pure bliss. He was very professional, courteous and friendly. Are you sure he’s not an instructor?! THANK YOU HIRO-san! I can’t wait for my next visit. Update: I went in for ANOTHER visit and got 120 minutes for $65 session. It was wonnnnnderful! He concentrated on my sore areas- and now pain is almost gone! He’s a miracle worker and I wish him great success once he is done with his training. He’s going to be an awesome massage therapist!

Great place if you're looking for a good massage at a good price. While it may not be a resort spa, it has a friendly staff and comfortable atmosphere. Primary language there seems to be Japanese but I didn't have any issue speaking English. Cash only, prices include tax but don't forget a tip as well! They are massage students who are working for hours not money, that's why prices are so low. Overall a great experience for me and my partner. Definitely recommend!

I liked that they were able to fit me in last minute and the price. I normally go to a different school, but they didn't have any availability. I decided to try this one since I kept seeing ads on social media. But I didn't like that I was right next to the door and there was no ac, just a fan shared between two rooms divided by a curtain. The people were great, parking was decent, but I really didn't like the fact that the office door was open. It was so hot and you could hear all the street noise, which made it hard to relax. People are great and professional, but I don't think I'd recommend this school to anyone, unless they're okay with outside noise and the heat.

The staff are friendly, professional, courteous and take all your concerns regarding any problem areas you have. Located on the 7th floor of the building. The elevator doesn't light up with buttons, so I'm a little uneasy. In Hawaii, where prices are high, you can receive treatment at a cheaper price than in Japan. Massage skills are fine. I slept soundly. Reservations are required. It seems that the price is cheaper because it is operated on. I was satisfied with the cheap reason, so I could choose with confidence. I feel like there were only people who were fluent in Japanese. It may not be suitable for those who are used to massage, but it is recommended for those who want to relax while killing time. There is no shower, but I didn't particularly care about the stickiness of the oil.
