I am so happy I was able to experience a Traditional Lomi Lomi massage with Edward! His office is warm, welcoming and calming to enter so I knew I was in good hands right from the start. The massage was the most relaxing I have ever had. I was able to truly relax into the work and let go of so much stress and anxiety. I have already recommended Edward to friends!

I just received another outstanding massage at Healing Hands with Edward. He tailored my massage to my personal needs, and as someone with fibromyalgia this is very important. His massage positively effected both my physical and emotional well being. His studio is warm, inviting, with lovely scents of essential oils. He is extremely talented and highly professional at his art. I truly felt at peace, which translated into a sense of joy when returning to my work at the hospital. I hadn’t realized the stress I was holding onto. He was very accommodating with my schedule and I really appreciated this. Being from out of town, I will go out of my way to schedule another massage when I visit the area again.

My husband got me the Ancient Lomi Lomi Journey for my birthday and it did not disappoint! Edward is an amazing massage therapist. The massage was everything I didn’t know I needed and more. It was relaxing. I loved the traditional Hawaiian music, the warm, generous oil, the long, flowing, seamless stokes of fingers, hands, forearms, and elbows moving across the body from one area to another, without interruption, without judgment, without prudence. I felt uninhibited. I felt free. I felt euphoric. I felt whole. It was a transcendent experience, and it was incredible. I will be booking again! As a professional who provides invasive procedures, I fully understand informed consent, I appreciated his respect, full transparency, and the manner in which he approached what I know can be a sensitive subject touch. In a safe, sensitive, supportive space, I was able to share with Edward my wishes for a “divinely guided” experience and I expressed my comfort level for drape and touch. The full chest/breast inclusion is an absolute must-have in my opinion!

I have never had the pleasure of a Lomi Lomi massage before, and so wasn't 100% sure what to expect, even though I had read the description etc. Edward was very thorough in providing information and all the forms I needed to complete before my treatment. He was friendly and welcoming when I arrived, and his room felt so warm and comfortable. I have to say that the treatment is unlike any other massage that I have had, but it was absolutely amazing! I left Edward's room nearly 2hours later, feeling the most relaxed I have felt in years!!! I also had the BEST night sleep!! If you have never had a Lomi Lomi massage, do yourself a favor and have one, with Edward!! You will not regret it!!

What a wonderful workshop! My husband and I learned ways to reconnect which is quite amazing after being together for 33 years. I think the blindfold was an excellent idea as you had to me most dependent on your sense of touch. Your total focus becomes your partners body. It was wonderful. Another very good exercise was just staring into you loved ones eyes and really connecting with them before your massage begins. It was a relearning of where to put your focus. I highly recommend the class.

My Boyfriend and I celebrated our anniversary with a couples instructive massage with Ed and it blew away our expectations! Not only was he a great teacher and comfortable partner to learn with, we both came out wonderfully relaxed! We took turns on the table and thoroughly enjoyed the massage Ed was giving as well as the ones he was teaching us to give each other. It was apparent that he knew what he was doing and was very good at it and also just a really nice, personable guy. Ed taught us how to plan and "flow" a massage based on our time and partners needs as well as what to actually do in each area and how to make it relaxing for both the receiver and the giver. We have since successfully practiced and enjoyed the techniques he taught us - which he intentionally and skillfully customized during our workshop to exactly what would be best for our needs/goals as a couple and as individuals. It was truly a wonderful, one of a kind experience and great for couples or if you just want to learn how to give massages, or if you want a practitioner that really knows their stuff and is extremely in tune with their clients needs. We absolutely loved it and would HIGHLY recommend this service and any services with Ed.

He is very attentive to creating a tranquil environment and checking in with both verbal and written communication about what his clients need to ensure a comfortable and healing session. His touch and approach are gentle yet deep. He doesn’t beat the body with the amount of pressure yet still produces a deep release of the tissues and relaxation of body and mind. I had a wonderful experience receiving a Lomi Lomi massage at Healing Hands. The location is great, right in downtown Boston and super easy to get to from the Copley T Station. It's a beautiful little studio with a very calm and relaxing atmosphere. I felt well taken care of from beginning to end, Edward checked in with me about any problem areas and places on my body that would like special attention before we got started. The massage itself was wonderful, I felt that every part of my body got special attention. I came in with a lot of tension that had completely dissipated by the end. Edward is clearly very masterful at reading the human body. The heated towels at the end were icing on the cake. I am looking forward to my next massage at healing hands and definitely recommend it to my friends.

YES This is real: The BEST massage of my life. Edward is an incredibly empathetic and humble, extraordinary massage therapist. I am also a massage therapist (in Germany so forgive my English) and have received many wonderful massages. But Edward's was by far the best in a league of its own. I still can not believe what a gift I received with this wonderful treatment. I experienced a perfect acceptance of myself and under this touch I dive into deep relaxation. A combination of wavy and unbelievably gentle movements that are in harmony with the breathing rhythm and the simultaneous strokes of warm oil create feelings of security and bliss. The Lomi experience is not of this world. Edward is really blessed with incredible sensitivity. Edward's massage grabs the soul particularly deeply and equally, along with the body and the mind, paving the way to move forward with a renewed sense of self. Movements from the body axis towards the shoulder girdle create a liberating release of the deep muscles. Accordingly, the massage is designed to relieve tension, to release blockages and reactors balance. It did all that. 3 days after the Lomi, I am still floating like waves on the water. AT the center of Edward’s Lomi Lomi is the quality of the touch. His techniques and ability to move are very special. The art of his touch requires (and gives) aloha, in the sense of caring, respect, intention, support and compassion. He is so incredibly professional and present. It is something I don’t enough of in therapists. The aim of the massage is to mediate Aloha and to create space for self-healing. Edward gave me Aloha during the massage and made room for my own healing. I'm so thankful for that. The effect of the Lomi massage I clearly feel not only on the physical level, but also on the spiritual level. Edward's hawaiian ritual of welcome, singing and chant before the massage opens the room to the touch, clearing the way to the inside. I had an amazing massage at Healing Hands Bodywork & Massage Relaxation Therapy. I've been wanting to try Lomi Lomi for a long time, and I'm so glad I found Ed. He made me feel at ease and calm from the beginning, and explained what to expect, with attention to my needs. The massage was a beautiful, tender and relaxing flow of strokes with warm oil. I felt like floating in water at times. The experience was restorative and healing physically, emotionally, mentally as well as energetically. As I'm writing this review the feeling of ease and relaxation I felt then is flowing through me again. Warm towels at the end were also very comforting and nurturing. Two thumbs up! I am so thankful to Edward who has helped my healing journey immensely. Due to years of accumulated stress, personal circumstances and old injuries, my mind and body really needed help to get better. Not only is he a very gifted and skilled healer, he genuinely cares about his clients and his work is much more than just dealing with the physical problems. I have seen him twice so far, the first treatment was the Lomi Lomi ritual which was very effective at treating my old injuries and began to lift and release a lot of the emotional burdens I had. My second treatment was more targeted to areas where I had injuries and needed specific work. I had tried many types of therapy and they were successful in their different ways but I needed something more to release the tight muscles and blocked energy. Edward was able to do that in a safe and nurturing environment. After the second treatment, I saw the results gradually over the course of the week, my body was finally getting the help it needed and there was a very big improvement. The emotional detox afterwards was a little challenging but once I get over that, it was as if a 20 year old grey cloud had been lifted from me. Sometimes we are so used to living with our various physical and emotional problems, carrying it around with us, it becomes normality. I am going to carry on my treatment and I have confidence that with a combination of a healthier lifestyle and better mindset this will bring about a total renewal in my mind, body and spirit. I am grateful to Edward for all his help in changing my life.

This was my first massage at Healing Hands Bodywork, I have only had one other massage before, so I do not have much to compare it to. The Lomi Lomi massage at Healing Hands is exquisite. The massage feels as if the water of a river is running all over your body as hands lengthen muscles in a rhythmic flow. It is like a guided meditation but with touch instead of words. I have practiced body scan meditations as a way to reduce stress or curb insomnia. The Lomi Lomi massage I experienced helped me focus in on each area of my body as attention was paid to it. There wasn't anticipation of what would come next because my mind was truly focusing on what was happening in the moment. Afterwards my whole body felt completely relaxed, balanced and aligned. And my mind felt more open. I highly recommend trying a Lomi Lomi massage. Ask questions though and learn a little about what to expect. I have also had several Swedish massages at Healing Hands. I have many Swedish massages throughout my life and have always been a big fan. The one at Healing Hands is just perfect. The aromatherapy, the heated table, the soft lights, the gentle music, the warm moist towels and a healing touch -- I am never disappointed with any experience at Healing Hands and leave looking forward to my next appointment.

This was planned as a fun experience for a birthday without a lot of consideration, and it turned out to be one of the most fun birthday experiences we've ever had. Edward did a masterful job of blending the quiet serenity of a massage with the fun experience of a couples class. We both left feeling like we'd had an amazing opportunity to connect away from the kids and the hustle of life, while also getting a really fantastic massage.
