I've been looking for a new massage place since moving to VA from CA. This is the 2nd spa I've tried in Arlington. I booked a 1.5 hour deep tissue massage. The massage itself was average. The masseuse had light pressure. I asked her to increase it, & she did to a light-medium, but I could've gone for much firmer pressure. I've had many deep tissue massages. I exercise regularly so I need the firm pressure which gives you that kind of "good hurt" because the masseuse is working out knots & tightness. For 1.5 hour deep tissue, the price is $179 not including tip. So it's on the pricier end, which I don't mind paying if I get the deep tissue massage I'm expecting but I did not. Guess I'll keep looking for a better massage spa. Pros: - good customer service from front desk - relaxing reception area - very clean restroom, massage room, sitting area - short walking distance from metro station Cons: - not firm enough pressure for a deep tissue massage - can easily hear voices from hallway & next room, which disrupts the zen experience of massage - wish the massage table had a heated pad or blanket underneath because at times I felt a little chilly

Came here for the first time yesterday for one of their Thai massages. It was the first time I’ve ever done this particular one, usually I opt for the deep tissue, but after reading the description, I thought I’d give it a try. I was definitely pleased with my decision, it was similar to a deep tissue when it came to working out the kinks in my muscles, but it included the stretching that i needed. My masseuse addressed all of the issues perfectly that I described to her what was going on with me. She focused on my problem areas and I felt great after I left. My overall experience from the friendly front desk staff to the actual massage was great! I would definitely recommend and be back.

Absolutely amazing!!! From the courteous and helpful secretaries, to the polite and professional masseuse, this was an extremely relaxing and refreshing experience. The massage I received was a Thai massage, and it was outstanding. I had had back neck and shoulder pain prior to the massage, but this fixed my pain immediately and kept it away for quite some time. I will definitely be returning!

Came here for the first time this week as someone had given me a gift card. I received an Indian Head Massage, and it was an amazing and relaxing experience. All the tension seemed to leave my neck (where I hold most of my stress) and my hair feels amazing today from the coconut oil used for the massage. I will definitely be coming back!

I was a looking for a new massage therapist in the area and went with Origins Thai Spa based on the reviews. Preeyaporn was amazing and did not disappoint! She listened to my preferences and request to work out some tight spots and knots. I left feeling incredible, like I had taken off a heavy backpack. I would highly recommend her, and in general Origins Thai Spa, as the setting was very professional, calming, and clean.

Got a Groupon to try out a Thai massage. As soon as I walked in the establishment I was greeted and asked if I needed water. They probably got me seated and had me fill out the application. And no time I was ready for my massage. I went to the restroom and it is very clean and smell fresh. My masseuse was amazing and the massage was awesome. This was my first time at Origins Thai Spa and it was a great experience. I saw Jack for a deep tissue massage and he was fantastic. He focused in on the areas I told him I had pain and I was feeling much better after the massage. I ended up signing up for the monthly membership and they gave me a free 60 min massage for someone else which is really nice. Looking forward to my next visit!

Such a wonderful experience! From the second you walk through the doors you honestly feel so zen and relaxed. The staff is super attentive to you and whatever you need — there’s water and tea available for you at any time. When I was booking I wasn’t sure which massage to get but the staff walked me through each one and helped me make a decision. I ended up doing a deep tissue and it was exactly what I needed. The masseuse also was very attentive and asked if it felt okay. Overall it was incredible and I’m going to be booking my next one very soon!

Absolutely wonderful in all respects. My wife and I tend to get massages around the country and this has, hands down, been the best we have ever had. Therapists were professional, efficient, and effective. Facility and protocols were clean and safe. Loved the ambiance of the location. I had an amazing experience. I was nervous to go during the pandemic but the spa was spotless, the therapists and clients are asked to keep masks on (even during the massage). My massage therapist, Lisa was SO amazing and SO nice! I had a Swedish massage with her. She got all the knots out of my shoulders and neck and she really knows what she is doing! I left feeling so much better!

I LOVE this massage place!! I live a half-hr weekend drive away but am COMMITTED to this monthly membership- ALWAYS a reliable, consistently good professional massage at a valuable price. Wonderful atmosphere, helpful greeting staff, and excellent masseuse staff. Origins Spa also has a great selection of legitimate massage styles, body treatments and facials that never disappoint. I always get so disappointed trying out new massage places, looking for a not-lazy massage at a good value— I am absolutely happy that I’ve found this place, and I am sticking to it!!

The experience started when we walked into the well appointed lobby and were brought hot tea while we filled out the intake forms ahead of our massages. My wife and I both received 90 minutes of traditional Thai Massage. If you've not tried one, and if you enjoy some stretching mixed in with a firm massage, I highly recommend it. The experience was enjoyable, the staff friendly and a very clean environment.

First time I went today and the massage was excellent. Definitely authentic after having had a few Thai massages in Thailand just a year ago. Amber was excellent and provided insight into stretching exercises after finishing up. Highly recommend this place if you need some you time!

Origin Thai Spa is an experience! From the time you enter the doors and begin to walk down the hallway.. soft smell and a calm begins to cover you. The staff are timely and professional. The salon was clean and every precaution was taken to keep the client and staff safe. Every time I return to the DMV Origin Thai Spa will be a must visit! So I went to this spa because a friend of mine is always talking about how great his experiences there have been (he goes once a month religiously) and because he gave me (and another friend) a voucher for a free 30-minute massage. Keep that in mind when reading this review since I was getting a service for free and so maybe that impacted the quality of my experience. Overall, the spa seems very nice. Atmosphere wise it feels very high end (at least from my perspective) and the music is very calming and relaxing. I also liked the smell of the place, which was light and fresh. I get headaches from strong scents so I appreciate salons and spas that don’t have strong smells. Anyway, when my friend and I came in they immediately asked if we wanted anything to drink and sat us down on a dangerously comfortable couch. They said our appointment would have to be pushed back about 15-20 minutes for some reason and were apologetic. Personally, that didn’t really bother me and my friend and I just hung out somewhat awkwardly in the waiting area (it’s very quiet in the spa so we were afraid to talk too much). But it was nice to just sit there and relax a bit before our massages. When our masseuses came they guided us to our rooms which were simple but soothing. This is where I stopped enjoying myself. I don’t know if my masseuse was having a rough time in life but whatever she was going through she took out on my back. I am not a fan of gentle massages, I like to feel like my muscles have been rejuvenated. But honestly this massage was highly unenjoyable. I went in with no issues whatsoever (just wanted a free massage) and came out very sore. I felt like my back had been straight beaten up. This feeling lasted for THREE days afterwards. I couldn’t even lean back in a chair without discomfort. I felt bruised. I went in fine and came out worse. I’m pretty sure that’s not what you want from a spa experience. But again, this was a free voucher we were using and so that may have influenced the quality of service we received. Also, my friend said her masseuse and experience was pretty good so it wasn’t all bad. After the massage was done, they offered us tea and told us to relax in the waiting area. They had originally told us that someone would come out and give us feedback about anything they noticed during the massage but that never happened. So we just paid the tips and left. Overall, I think it could be a nice spa. They score high on atmosphere and environment. Even though I did not enjoy my own experience, I saw several returning customers while I was in the waiting area. They seem to have a good amount of people that continuously come back so that’s got to count for something, I suppose.

My first visit.....Origins Thai Spa. Atmosphere is warm and relaxing. My Thai-Euro Massage was very good once I got the balance of pressure settled. Overall good experience definitely will be back. I wish I was giving a robe and some slippers to sit in a chaise lounge or over stuff sofa and really relax and take in the environment and my services that I just received. I cannot stop RAVING about this spa. Hands down one of the best spas in Virginia. From the relaxing atmosphere to exceptional service you will not be disappointed. I received a 60-minute Facial and Thai-Euro Message. This was my first experience receiving a facial and was nervous about the products that would be used going into my appointment. Upon arrival you are offered water/tea while you complete a brief questionnaire about your skin. My esthetician was wonderful. She explained each product & equipment used and the overall benefits. She was knowledgeable on various skin types and noted recommendations as it related to improving my skin. After my appointment my skin was so soft and clear. My message technician concentrated on problem muscle groups that were identified in my message questionnaire. The message did restore the flow of positive energy and provided relief for tightened muscles. Overall the atmosphere was so relaxing.

My new favorite spa in the DMV! I've explored some of the chain spas and haven't had great success. I was pretty underwhelmed. Came across Origins Thai Spa on Groupons and purchased the 90min package. The location is great, lots of parking in the area. Also, the establishment is beautiful, very clean and and organized. Beautiful decor, smells great and warm and friendly staff. I had a male masseuse, for a deep tissue massage. Although it was a very relaxing and pleasant experience I would have preferred more pressure which I should have mentioned. Overall it was a great experience I will definitely return!

Got a gift card for my birthday and was on the fence about doing a membership. After my first visit, I IMMEDIATELY signed up for a membership. The place is beautiful, the staff is so kind, and the massage was A+. I am so excited to continue using my membership (a great deal, by the way!). Would 10/10 recommend to anyone looking for a clean, beautiful place to relax and practice some quality self care.

A very nice place, nice welcome with good tea. I tried once a regular massage and was happy of the quality so I decided to go for a couple massage. There were a lot of people, they told us we had a man for me and a woman for my husband. I asked if we could not change, they didn't listen. My legs were not massaged, nor my belly. Awesome spa experience. Visited for a graduation and booked a massage with some friends. The place is clean, staff is friendly and the massage was great. Cons: - The rooms were too cold - There was construction in the area which drowned out the spa music - Got there 30 minutes earlier and wish there was a locker and space to put on a robe and start the experience. My first time at Origins Thai Spa, but definitely not my last. Wonderful ambiance, professional and helpful staff throughout, excellent value for money, and a really fantastic Thai massage. The massage therapist, Supanda Crandall, was an expert who calibrated her massage to my specific needs and body and who communicated clearly with me throughout. She improved and even resolved a number of problems I had, in just that first visit. I have had massages from trained and highly rated massage therapists for years, around the world, and this rates among the best.

My wife and I tried out Origins Thai Spa with a 60 minute couples deep tissue massage. For a little background, I have had many massages all over the world - including Thai massages in Thailand. Atmosphere and the massage - Origins' decor is really nice - and probably the most luxurious massage parlor I have been to. The massage itself was very good. I prefer a lot of pressure (I am 6'1") and even though my masseuse was a small woman she had more than enough strength to work out all of my knots. You are also served water or hot tea before and after your session. Price - We bought a discounted rate session from a coupon website so we ended up paying ~$65 after tip per person. While my experience at Origin was great, I would not return if I had to pay the full price (I think it was like $120 or something for 60 minutes depending on the type of massage). However, they have a great yearly subscription which my wife and I ended up splitting. It costs $79 or $99 per month for 12 months (60/90 minute sessions) and you get 13 total sessions that can be used over an 18 month period. You also can buy additional time for a discounted rate and there are a lot of other perks. I will attach a picture of the details. Bottom line - Origins had a great atmosphere, excellent massage, and a very nice subscription deal which seems to be worth it. While I have only had one massage there, I will update if my experience changes over the next few months. Also, I had Arpi for my masseuse. She was fantastic.

Very calming, relaxing atmosphere, and the most effective massage I have had in years! The traditional Thai massage fully worked all the kinks and knots out of my neck and shoulders, better than any classic table massage I have ever had. Well worth the price and experience!

Great first visit. Had been moving house all weekend. I go to Thai massage to disconnect from the world. They had Baal tea, a stylish, immaculately kept interior, and good traditional Thai massage. Will be back. (only four stars as I'm yet to adapt to the higher prices of USA Thai massage. Will look into package deals).

This was my first time going to a spa and there is one word to sum up my experience; AMAZING! Everything about the spa was amazing, all of the employees, the atmosphere, the customer service, pretty much everything. I had no idea how tense my body was until I got the traditional Thai massage. I left out so relaxed and refreshed, I knew I would have to go back again. I am planning on going back in another week, because my experience was just that great. If you are looking for a great spa to go to in the DMV, go to Origins Thai Spa. You will leave out feeling like a new person, refreshed and recharged!

I fell in love with Thai Massage when I lived in California. I have been searching for a new place since I left 4 years ago. I live in MD and was hesitant to trek all the way to VA...so I tried out closer options. I got some good massages, but the customer service/atmosphere ruined them. Finally, I decided to suck up the drive and booked with Origins Thai Spa. TOTALY WORTH THE DRIVE. My partner and I both received amazing massages, the customer service was lovely and the facility of the spa itself are amazing. I walked in and felt instantly felt myself starting to relax. From the soothing colors to the amazing tea, everything about the space and staff is geared to sooth your body & soul.

This place might not look like much from the outside, but the interior tells a different story. They have a nice quiet, clean and comfortable atmosphere that prepares you for relaxation. I booked a couples massage and was very satisfied with the experience. Prices are fairly standard, but check Groupon because they run solid deals sometimes.

Possibly the best way I've spent a morning in years! My visit to Origins Thai Spa was fantastic. I loved it so much, I signed up for their monthly massage membership! I was able to get a daytime weekday spot with practically no notice, which is nice for a busy person with a flexible schedule. Nui was an excellent masseuse, targeting exactly what I asked for and discovering knots and kinks I didn't even realize existed. Everyone was very professional and courteous and made a great effort to make my spa morning fantastic. Update: Been going to Nui every month for over a year now, and I'm still just as crazy about this place as I was at the start. Definitely recommend the monthly membership. For $90/month (plus tip), its the perfect monthly treat yo self moment.

Glad I discovered this new spa in Arlington! When I arrived, it was clear that this is a professional operation- nice, soothing decor in the waiting area with hot tea and water, friendly front desk, and private secluded rooms equipped for massage and other treatments. A first time massage was only $59 (great deal for this area) and good enough to return for full-price option. There's also a $89/month membership option which is a good deal if you are someone who does monthly massages.

I first went to Thai Origins back in September for a free friend massage. The Deep Tissue was fantastically painful and wonderful. Preeyaporn found every single last knot and used her strong fingers to get them out. I was super sore but I felt so much better! Afterwards, I saw that they did facials and was hooked on the membership. I have struggled with “congested” skin all my life and facials along with a strict regimen of skin care seems to not keep me looking like a teen. I have been going to Yulie for the last few months on the membership and my skin has drastically improved. She is very attentive and told me day one “we are on a skincare journey together.” Can’t recommend them and the place enough!

Today was my 1st time experiencing Origins...and it didn't disappoint! Right from the entrance you see the beautiful décor (you can tell they put a lot of thought into it), I was greeted by friendly staff, and I was offered delicious hot tea while I waited for my massage. I have received numerous deep tissue massages in the past (from different places in the USA) but the deep tissue massage I received today from Purnell was probably the best I've ever had! Looks like I found a new "massage home" and will be coming back next month!!!

This is the place you are looking for. It took me a month to find the right spa and this place is it. There are lots of places out there that can give you a massage but not many can give you the full atmosphere and experience you are looking for. Right from the moment I walked in the door with my wife the atmosphere was perfect and soothing. As soon as I opened the door this place looked and felt like a calming place. I was looking for a place to take my wife on a couples massage for our anniversary and this place had plenty of rooms with two massage beds and plenty of employees to give those massages. I looked all over Alexandria to DC and when I found this place I was super surprised that they were able to squeeze me and my wife in on a evening season on a Black Friday. That really impressed me. So here are the check marks just to make this simple. 1. Is it affordable? Yes 2. Couples Massage? Yes 3. Varity of massages? Thai, Deep tissue, and some in between type. 4. Friendly and professional staff. O yes! amazingly friendly and full of smiles. 5. Is the atmosphere a nail salon or a spa? It's a high class Spa with an affordable price. Perfect for couples. 6. Should you book it this place? YES!!! I will be a continuing customer. My wife and I loved this place just from one visit.

Unexpectedly relaxing interior after entering a storefront that could be a minimart or sandwich shop. The sound of a babbling brook combined with pleasant smells and a darkened interior make the long walk to the main desk an adventure. The massage therapists my wife and I had were not the typical petite ones we expected. Instead these were strong woman who would work out every knotted muscle with ease. Overall, a very nice massage.

My massage with Nittaya was very comfortable and relaxing. I had a great experience and would love to come back all the time. I've had a couple other massages at other places and was a little awkward but at Origins all concerns melted away. Nattaya even targeted that I sleep on my side and it impacts my shoulders. Authentic Thai massage. Very thorough and effective. You will stretch in ways you didn't know you could. You will notice stuff muscles and joints that were not obvious before. The masseurs and masueses here are very experienced and thoughtful. You will not be disappointed. A little hard to find using navigation programs. You may find yourself in the wrong side i if the buildings. Just walk through the garage and there you are. I ran a few minutes late due to something on the freeway but they were very accommodating. A little hot tea before to get you relaxed from your journey and a little after just to relax before heading back out. ❣️❣️
