Took me three years to find my this spot! Placidity is awesome! The place is nice, clean, and spacious. Carrie is my favorite! She knew all my knots and used her medium/hard techniques to release a whole months worth of shoulder tension. Very accommodating to walk-ins as well. My roommate and I also enjoyed the couples massage as well, which was fun. Hands down, best place in Albuquerque and Carrie is my favorite!

I have had wonderful massages by Amy, Carrie, and May. My most recent was with Amy and she was amazing. If you request a deep tissue massage, they deliver! They also check in during to make sure the pressure is to your liking. The hot stones that are included are a great addition. I always leave this place feeling so relaxed. Truly the best massages I have ever had and for a great price especially if you pay with cash.

VERY HAPPY: My wife had a horrible neck pain for four days. Heavy duty pills such as Gabapentin did not work. She had had the same problem 5 years ago, and after going to the ER, getting narcotics we found a local massage lady that solved the problem. The lady moved out of state years ago. This time, we were VERY lucky to find this place. The masseuse worked her back and neck and also used very hot stones. I want to caution that they use a lot of force. The masseuse even got on top of the massage table to work her back. My wife said that she was very happy. Cost was $60, and our tip was $20. We are going back in two weeks. While I was waiting I saw two couples go in for a couples massage.

Have been to this place twice and had massages by Mae and Erin. Both were excellent. They really did deep tissue massage (not many places actually do that properly) they were often checking if the pressure applied is good amount. The place is clean, relaxing and quite. If you pay cash is cheaper. Easy to schedule, truly accept walk-ins.

I have been suffering from chronic back pain due to numerous vehicle accidents and have experienced excruciating pain for many years. After nearly a year of massage sessions at Placidity Massage with Mae and Carrie, my back pain has come down significantly and is continuing to improve. I could not be happier with the results. Best massage I’ve had in town! Very in depth massage, and the masseuse focused in on my stress areas without me having to say anything. Throughout the entire hour she kept good, consistent pressure and just about turned to jello. Excellent masseuses and a good atmosphere!

I can’t recommend Placitity Massage enough. They are very professional and clean. Me and my family have been going there for two years. We recommend all our friends and family. The prices are very affordable for the amazing massage that you get. I recommend hot stones and cupping. Carrie is out go to masseuse but the other staff is great. Wow!!! My experience here was awesome! I was hesitant to go because of horror stories on the internet and because I was doubtful that I could receive a truly well done deep tissue massage since my muscles are very tight and compact (grown men have broken a sweat trying to rub out my knots). I finally came in today though after my sciatic nerve wouldn't stop hurting and I read a large number of great reviews online for Placidity massage. Important factors to note are that the price is really great- $60 for an hour (but an extra $20 for tip- so deserved!!!) that includes deep tissue massage and hot stones (so amazing!!). The establishment is professional, clean, and even the bathroom had a pleasant deep clean smell. The room I was placed in was very nicely furnished, dimly lit, and peaceful. There were no interruptions, and the door remained closed during the entire session. I had Carrie as my masseuse and I was shocked because although she's tiny she packs a serious punch of power in her massage!!! I literally didn't need full pressure. Most important, as someone who's sensitive to modesty and discretion I did not feel uncomfortable around her during the massage even though I only had on underwear and a towel. The massage was head to toe xtremely thorough and Carrie completed the hour with exact timing. I'm super delighted with the results since as a waitress, novice weightlifter, and grandmother who takes care of a 34 pound toddler, my body feels loose and relaxed in a way I haven't felt for years. The last time I had a professional massage was 10 years ago but because this session really addressed all of the key points I've listed I've decided to return and already booked another appointment. I highly recommend Placidity Massage! I was not influenced to leave this review for any other reason than that they did a great job and I'd love for someone else to be blessed with quality service.

I had a great massage from Amy, really good! I would recommend to pay in cash. Please do not pay with card if you are able because I got a wrong charge and it took nearly an hour to get resolved going back and forth with my credit card company and merchant. Other than that, grab your cash and go there and get a great deep tissue massage!!

I have lower back pain from an injury in the past and sore muscles from gym workouts. Massages aren't a luxury for me but a necessity on a regular basis. I've been to many different places to get massages and none have been able to provide the deep tissue massage I needed. The women at Placidity might appear small in stature but they are strong! I've seen Carrie, May and Amy and would recommend any of them. If you are looking for good deep tissue massage, this is the place! Try the four hands massage for an even better experience. It's my favorite.

I called for a couples massage and they scheduled us in for that afternoon!! I had had such little hope of finding a day-of appointment, but Placidity was both accommodating and affordable. Their salon is nice with no-frills; you’re paying for all massage, and they give you your money’s worth! Erin and Mae gave great whole-body deep tissue massages including hot stone, $60/hr pp, and Erin was on top of checking in with me about pressure. I came in with really stiff whip lash and left being able to finally turn my head. I’d recommend to stop by an ATM beforehand in order to pay with cash.

Easy walk in to take me to nice, clean, and comfortable room. I complain about lower back pain that I had from work, etc. Amy is by far the Best masseuses ever and able to fixed the problem. She is easy to work with and very easy to take care of you. Another day I had a problem with should pain all day at work, May fixed the problem! After the other day, I had back pain issues, Carrie fixed the problem and She knows how to fix the muscle tensions, putting pressure on tightness, massaging the pains. I was very pleased with positive results so far. I left having no stress, no tightness, no worries, no pain! All of my masseuses are the Best in town. I had a 2 hour massage today with Amy! It was one of the best deep tissue massage’s I’ve had. I suffer from chronic pain throughout my body and severe headaches and have tried countless massages in the last few years. August 19, 2022 Placidity Massage is grade A+++! I had a 1pm appt this afternoon and showed up 20-min early. I only waited a few minutes and was seen (cool). I don’t know my masseuse’s name, but she nailed it! I asked for a light/soft touch massage and she delivered! She was personable and asked about me and my tattoos (I *think she liked ‘em). She definitely knew what she was doing and gave me a great massage. This is new my go-to massage parlor; definitely worth the $60/hour I paid. What a great way to start the weekend! Thanks, Placidity Massage! I will be back!

I'm a travel nurse and new to the area and I scoured internet reviews before landing on Placidity Massage Therapy. I originally chose it based on the high reviews and the fair pricing. I'm always chronically sore in my neck, back and shoulders because of my job in the ER so I need some serious massage work to feel normal. I've lived in a lot of other cities and had a ton of massages, and I can say with confidence that Carrie is one of the best! I usually ask for strong pressure in my deep tissue, but I'll warn you, Carrie is incredibly strong, so you might need to tell her "medium". She can work out any soreness and stiffness you bring her. I highly recommend this place. I'll be going back at least twice a month while I work in Albuquerque.

My massage therapist was Mei, and I received a deep tissue massage. She was very strong, did a great job relieving tension in my neck and back (which I was suffering from a headache), and was very professional. The hot stone massage was a great added bonus. I had no headache the next day, extremely reduced muscle tension, and felt pretty amazing. I would definitely go back.

Me and my partner are staying in Santa Fe. We did a little research and ended up in Albuquerque at Placidity for a couples massage. Boy did we make the right choice. I like deep massages, as deep as they can go. I was more than happy with the pressure and the thoroughness of the massage. They also used hot stones which was something I haven’t tried and it was amazing. Glad others left reviews before me- that’s how I made my choice.

I can only give this place four stars for a few reasons. We could hear the door chime every time someone walked in the door, and one of our masseuses went to go answer the door a few times and took a phone call (booking another massage) in our massage room. Maybe it was an off day, but it seems like they need a receptionist and more soundproofing on their front room.

I'd ben suffering from severe neck pain for days. I went to a doctor and she said nothing showed up in the X-rays, and if I wanted an MRI done I would need to do six weeks of physical therapy first. So I scheduled a massage out of desperation. I can't for the life of me remember the name of my massage therapist on account of my prescribed muscle relaxants, but she was kind, pleasant, and strong as a bull. My massage was yesterday and this morning I woke up without neck pain for the first time in a week. I wish I could rate higher than 5 stars.
