Definitely, all the reviews are true, I called asking to get a duplicate key for my vehicle, and Jacobs offered to come by in 30 mins, and he did. He cut the key and programed it in few minutes. Excellent service and quality work.

Jacob does great work with a great attitude. Called and said he could be there in 45 minutes, was right on time maybe even earlier. Got two keys cut and programmed for my girls car. All while I sat inside, he did all the work in front of the house. Took him maybe 30 minutes I wasn’t really watching the time but all that for the price of MAYBE one key from the dealership. Would recommend his company to anyone for their locksmith needs. Very professional yet very friendly and welcoming greets you with a smile and a handshake. Great guy, great service, great price.

Jacob does great work, is prompt and courteous. I called to get a replacement key fob and said he could be here in roughly 45 minutes. He was right on time maybe even earlier. He had a key fob on hand and programmed it all while I sat inside. I gave him the wrong type of fob and he discovered the issue with programming and got the correct key fob information and still completed the job in a timely manner even with my delay. Great experience. Nothing worse then leaving work and not finding your car key on Keychain. After an hour looking finally called Good Lock. Now THIS is customer service done right! I called to have my deadbolts changed out and within minutes someone called to confirm our appointment for that afternoon. The gentleman arrived before me and was incredibly polite, professional and even took the time to set my mind at ease about the lock housing. Now, here's where it gets really good.. I asked for his business card and to my surprise it wasn't the same company I thought I called. The next day, I called the initial number and the owner explained that if he doesn't have someone available, he contacts a trusted competitor on the customer's behalf. I changed the PCM on my truck. Jacob came out in the rain and spent about a hour trying to program the new PCM. For whatever reason his machine could not communicate with the PCM. I offered to pay him for his time but he refused. I will need to contact the PCM company to see what they suggest. Not Jacobs fault because he did all he could do. I highly recommend him.

We couldn't be happier! We were replacing front door locks and the new one wasn't fitting. This review is for a commercial building! The cylinder lock mechanism of our commercial business door came out of the lock, leaving the door latched and locked and no way to unlock the door. This was for a fitness class taking place at 0600 in the morning! Good Lock was one of four 24 hour lock smiths that we reached out to and was the only one that responded rapidly to match our urgency. Jacob showed up and got right to work (it was raining out that morning) and was super clean, organized and professional. He got in the building and about 10 minutes later the lock was swapped out and a new set of keys was in my hand! Honestly I could not believe how fast our job went. Jacob explained the process as he was working through the replacement as well. He was personable and just overall positive, even at 6am in the rain! I would recommend him over and over again...the only SLIGHT negative I felt when he left was that we paid a fair amount for a 45minute job. Sometimes the downfall of a professional like this is that they work fast and efficiently and rightfully charge a premium for their service so after they leave you're left to reflect on the bill and perceived effort that was put into the job. (to clarify this is NOT a negative...Jacob is a professional and made this look so easy I almost felt like I overpaid but honestly it is more of a testament to his skill and deft hand working so well) 10/10 would recommend.

Seriously, call Jacob at Good Lock! Don’t bother calling anyone else. I had a strange experience with a car key for a vehicle that I just purchased. The dealership was lazy, and refused to make it right, but told me they would pay for a locksmith to help me. I had to find the locksmith myself and take the chance that they would be able to help me with my brand new car. Jacob arrived within an hour. He immediately diagnosed the problem, gave me several options which we could pursue, and made sure I understood each option thoroughly. Once I made my decision, he went straight to work. He ran into an issue that, honestly, I thought was going to drive him away. I think most would have quit on the job. Let me tell you…Jacob worked and worked and refused to quit on my job until it was complete and I was 100% satisfied. You can tell he not only knows his profession well, but that he loves his profession as well! Hire this man! You won’t regret it!!!

Well he did it, and he did it in 10 min. In total our whole appointment took 20 min. Hello’ I just wanted to share my experience with anyone that might need a good locksmith to fix their problem. My Key ignition on my Honda Accord today would not let the key turn or come out it was stuck in the switch and I called good lock and Jacob answered the phone and I explained to him what was going on with my key switch and he said that he could take care of the problem so he came to my workplace and in less than a hour my problem was fixed. I was very happy with his professionalism and also a great price from good lock and he gave me a two year warranty on parts and labor. I'm leaving this review a bit late but after the great service i got i think it's important i do. On February 11th i called Good Lock to come out... spur of the moment.. to install house locks & room door handles. I found out the door lock holes had to be drilled out because the original door locks had smaller holes in this older house. Jacob came in and installed everything in about an hour. It would've taken me 2 or 3 days to do the job. Needless to say I'm glad i called good lock. It saved me alot of grief Their price for the job was more than reasonable & Jacob was professional & efficient. I'll call good lock for any other lock job i have. Jacob was absolutely tremendous on an otherwise terrible day. Locked my key in my car showing a home in a neighborhood I had never been. He showed up and unlocked my car in less than 5 minutes. After my card got declined (a whole other story), I paid with my debit card. Flustered, I forgot to leave a tip, but Jacob stayed calm the whole time and reminded me to smile. The key fob to my 2011 Accord was broke and my son ended up losing the key part of the key fob. Recently had moved and couldn’t find my backup key either. I was stressing hard until I called these guys up. They were able to do same day service, and made it out about an hour or so after I called. I called Jacob on a Sunday morning, my key car fob lost and I locked out. Over the phone he explained that he might not have a fob for my make/model but he would come out and see if what he had would work. Jacob didn't have the exact fob but worked diligently for over two hours trying the fobs he had, explaining what he was doing at each step. He wrote down and gave me the exact fob model he needed, I picked up two models from the dealer on Monday and Jacob programmed both of them at a VERY discounted price. For example, the emergency key blade that fits inside the fob costs $45.32 each from the dealer. Jacob informed me that, at most, he pays just a few dollars for them. I returned them both. He was PROMPT, RELIABLE, COURTEOUS, and HONEST. A rare human being.

I recently bought a used car, that only came with one key and no fobs. I ordered two fobs online, but ran into problems trying to get the transponder chip on my new fobs coded to match the car. I contacted Good Lock through their website, and was quoted a $29 service call fee, and $65 to program one key that was already cut for the car. To get the other key cut and programmed I was probably looking at around $200. Jacob contacted me to clarify some information before we set something up, and once he realized the situation, he walked me through the programming over the phone for FREE. The programming of the transponder chip in my new key took 40 seconds, tops. Because I had an older car (2007), this was possible. Jacob said, "while I would like to have your business, I want to EARN your business". How often do you hear that??? Just about never. Should I ever need locksmith services again, I am contacting Jacob at Good Lock FIRST!!!

My best friend was preparing to move to Pennsylvania, and on move day, with all his belongings packed, he discovered he lost his U-haul truck key. Making matters worst, he hurt himself hours before and was now hospitalized in Hampton-some distance from Ghent in Norfolk. What to do??? Its a 110 in the sun, and we were exhausted already. Believe me when I say "keymaster" is the right term. Jacob did not give up-failure and defeat are not in his dictionary. Then suddenly we heard the truck start up. What a relief! Smiles and celebration among the moving team, but nobody was happier for us then Jacob. We shook his hand, but we had to hug him. the gentleman that came out today to help me was a complete lifesaver. My son is suffering a road rage accident that took place on February 17 that has left him paralyzed from the shoulders down.
