Jose Ramirez, the owner, did the work himself and completely lived up to his Angie's List reviews. He was right on time and very professional. He had to install the new deadbolt without using his regular saw because it was located too close to an existing shutter. He did a perfect job! He also re-keyed it, along with two other existing locks. He immediately honored the Angie's List deal offering a service call and two free re-keys with the coupon. His fee for installing the new deadbolt freehand and also re-keying it seemed reasonable at $135. Discount Locksmith is now our preferred locksmith and I would not hesitate to recommend Jose to anyone.

Jose was very professional; he called several times to confirm the appointment. Due to a prior scheduling conflict, I requested a change on the same day and he was flexible enough to change the date to later in the week. He arrived on time and completed a walk through, confirming the work we requested before he started. The work was done in a timely manner with 7 locks and our mailbox rekeyed as well as replacing a door knob in the garage. He did more work and thus the total was more than his price quote over the phone so he gave us 4 additional keys. I was happy with his professionalism, flexibility, and work skills, and would recommend him to anyone needing a good, trustworthy locksmith.

These guys are awesome! They saved us over $340! We needed copies of Transponder keys (the ones with chips in them) made and the dealership wanted over $340 for 1, these guys did 2 for the same price. They travel to where you are and are available 24-7. The keys work wonderfully. My only slight knock on them is that they were a half hour late, BUT we do live in Vancouver and they’re in Portland. I would highly recommend these guys.

Barak is the man and really great guy! He saved us over $340!!! Dealership wanted over $340 for 1 key and they did 2 for $340. They travel to where you are and available 24-7. They do all the modern keys and quickly. We needed 2 transponder chip keys and he made them for us in about a hour. We’re located in Vancouver, WA and so they travel quiet a ways. Tech was on time and did a nice job redoing my locks. He was timely and helped me out. My only frustration was that even though I paid for nine locks to be re-keyed, I could only get TWO keys. I finally pointed out that had I keyed each lock differently, they would have given me two keys for each lock. Tech finally agreed to give me six keys to avoid me having to run out and get more made. Also, it cost $15 per lock to re-key additional locks and $35 to install the code lock.

I was loading Christmas presents in my trunk and somehow my keys dropped inside and my car doors were locked as well so i couldn’t use the trunk button on the inside!! There were hardly any places open but my uncle found these guys and i waited no more than 35 minutes on Christmas Eve and the guy Wes who came he got in, in less than 5 minutes!!! These guys rock!! They didn’t charge $200 or more like most places would especially on a holiday, I highly recommend them.

Very well. Discount Locksmith tech was great; he called me just ahead of the time we were to meet, showed up on time and was able to fix the problem. It took quite a bit of effort; he tried a number of techniques before resorting to drilling it out. He said the barrel was stuck in the worst position. I had him change the locks on the side door while he was there (the keys to those were lost long ago).

Response time was terrific. My complaint is when I asked for his price over the phone he told me $95. That was extremely reasonable and acceptable and I did not feel I needed to shop around. However, when he arrived and quickly began working on my door he said $155 including fees. I should have been quoted $155, NOT $95. Bottom line: "You don't have to go to the dealership to get your car keys programmed." We got our Lexus key fob transponder much cheaper online, and these guys came to my husband's work place to program and to cut the key from their mobile station.
