Amazing customer service. My technician was the only one who came to my rescue in the frost storm all the way from Tigard. I called two other companies and no one would help me. Called to set up a garage door service, with the door sticking a bit when it's cold. They came out the next day arriving right at the beginning of a convenient time slot for me. The tech explained in quite some detail what he could do to make the door open more smoothly. He completed the work without fuss and the door is opening better since. I called Portland locksmith and they sent out Blaize. He was very professional and got my car unlocked in no time. They were the second locksmith I had out to try and get my car open. I am very thankful the girl I spoke with on the phone (didn't catch her name) understood I both needed and wanted their best guy and I definitely got him!!! I will be using them for all my locksmith needs for the future. I'd much rather have peace of mind and have to jump through the hoops of a bill back from insurance than deal with the people roadside assistance trys to send ever again!!! 10 out of 10 I'd definitely recommend!

August was able to provide respectful (communications skills are top notch), timely (came same day as request was made), and efficient and effective work (identified problem, had materials on board his van, and installed all in same call out period of 2 hours). Nothing about his demeanor nor service could have been better. Price was equivalent to other service providers. My garage door had stop opening because the cables were kinked and August was able to add new cables, install a new automatic door opener with keyed entry pad.

I had these guys come out as a second opinion on my garage door because a previous garage door repair company told me they didn't know how to fix it and then told me that even though it didn't work, it wouldn't be covered by my home warranty company. Portland Locksmith & Garage doors sent Andrew out and he was super professional, knowledgable and just all around had a great manner. Andrew saved us the cost of a new deadbolt lock by explaining that rekeying involves replacing pins that were broken. He also added a plate to hide previous wood dammage from a prior install. Not to mention he did a quick repair on the latch to a sliding glass door, saving us the extraordinary expense of buying an entirely new sliding glass door!

My excellent experience started with the fast response to my online inquiry. I appreciated the easy, online appointment service - and the appointment was the very next day. The communication leading up to Nick's arrival was outstanding. He contacted me about 30 minutes in advance, and then arrived exactly on time. Nick was knowledgeable, skilled, and professional. And polite. And just darn pleasant! He completed the garage door repair and explained what he had done, and why. Then he applied lubricant to all the hinges and springs - an extra I wasn't expecting. He inspected the seals and concluded they did not need to be replaced at this time - rather than trying to sell something that wasn't needed. I wholeheartedly recommend this business. When it's time for those new seals, or a new garage door opener, or and lock work, I will be calling Portland Locksmith & Garage Doors.

Tina is lightening fast at scheduling and messaging on Yelp. Super early one morning I needed service and she immediately responded and got me booked for later that day. She also answered all my questions within minutes. Josh had a heck of task attaching my new garage opener with a super low ceiling and venting in the way, and he made an elegant installation out of an impossible project. Blaize answered all my crazy security questions and made me feel secure in my door/lock choices and got everything rekeyed with enthusiasm. Andrew also stopped by even without being initially scheduled to look at issues with the house; everyone was enthusiastic and so helpful! We have an old house. Who doesn't in Portland? Upon closing the garage door, my wife heard a loud noise. After our inspection we realized it could have been a spring. I noticed that it took a hernia causing amount of force to get the door back up and it wouldn't stay up. We chose Portland Locksmith & Garage Door because they were the best reviewed and they did not disappoint. They fully lived up to their online reputation. August and Nick were complete pros. Going over the detailed process of their service and following up once their assessment was done on what needed to be done. They provided great customer service. They just didn't replace the broken pieces, they made adjustments to other components of the door to make the opening and closing of it better and extend the life of the door. This company is amazing! They work well with you home warranty company as well. August came out and did a very good job and had patience for someone who has no knowledge of locks. They came out one day and fixed the springs on my garage door (same day as inspection) then I had them back out a second time for rekeying my entire house. They identified my garage door motor was dead and within a few weeks had an approval from the warranty company and are accomodating my very busy schedule to get the best time to come out!

Every time I call Portland Locksmith and Garage Doors I am beyond impresses. I had a problem with my garage door opener. I called at 1:30 pm to see if I could get a service call, and the person on the phone said "Yes, we will be there today." I said I was working late that day, and the reply was "will after 6pm accommodate your schedule?" I was beyond impressed. AT 6:30 Super-Tech Nick sent me a text asking if it would be convenient for him to come by in 20 minute? Nick arrived on time, quickly figured out my problem, showed me how to fix it should it occur again, and then told me "there's no charge for this service call, because you're a repeat customer." Seriously where else can you get this type of attention and professional service? These folks are the best, and doing a spectacular job is clearly their ethos and goal. I'd give Nick 6 Stars!

Professional, timely and courteous from the moment I called for help to the end of the repair. A technician, August, was at our house within 2 hours to look at a broken mechanism on our garage door. Of course he wore a mask and observed covid safety standards. He also gave a courtesy call and texted when he was 30 minutes from arriving. He was a quick troubleshooter and gave clear options for repair/replacement. An hour later, we had a new motor kit, sensors and keypad at a reasonable rate. August was able to do a digital invoice on the spot and walk us through the new keypad system. Again, incredibly professional, timely and courteous. I highly recommend.

Reached out by text for an estimate and was lucky enough to arrange a same day appointment. After the estimate he was able to install right then and there. I needed both front and back exterior door hardware replaced and wanted the keys to all match. I had custom ordered from a hardware store but soon August realized the deadbolt was defective! Of course it was too late in the day to remedy the problem. He had already installed the new latch that didn’t fit our old deadbolt so he rigged it to be locked overnight until I could get the new part. No project ever goes smooth but within 48 hours I had the new part and August was over that day to finish the job. Very understanding and accommodating! Thank you August for making it happen.

They were just great. They said 20 minutes initially. Technician called within 5 minutes to say his GPS said 30 minutes and asked if that would that still work for us. Yes! He quickly assessed how to handle the 2 door locks and get them setup. Gave us a very reasonable price for the fix and the service call fee which was only owed if they did the estimated repair was reasonable as well at $85 Then he asked if there was anything else he could help us out with. He made our front door latches and lock work correctly changing out the worn springs. He assessed and recommended how to handle a non functioning bathroom door lock. It was great. And he, Dominic, was a super nice guy. I’d have them back out anytime we need a lock or garage door fixed

we had issues with our garage door. It was not closing all the way to the bottom and it’d open/shut randomly. August was super quick and efficient to do solve the problem. He is very polite and sweet. Only thing is Portland local locksmith is very expensive. They charged $140 for the service, a little less would have been great!

They initially came out to quote a new automatic garage door opener, quoted us a very reasonable price and installed SAME DAY. Fast forward a few months later and the attachment from the opener to the door came loose (the issue was not their fault) so I called at 7PM and they were there the next day at 9AM to fix it. 2021 Review Update: I finally got around to getting the new garage door opener and again, working with Portland Locksmith & Garage Doors was a fantastic experience. Elad was great in advising what kind of system I would need and was able to schedule an appointment for only a few days out. On the day of the installation, August called to inform me that he would be arriving. He was courteous, very professional and answered all of my questions. He also showed me all the new features with modern garage opener systems and made sure that everything was setup properly and connected. August's work and professionalism was top notch. We returned from a trip and needed immediate assistance with two exterior and two interior locks. I researched Angi's list online and read about Portland Locksmith & Garage Doors. A staff (Laura?) immediately called to schedule for tomorrow morning. I said it was somewhat of an emergency since my husband's medications were in a locked room so she said she would try and squeeze us in today. Because of the variables of the job, it was difficult to pinpoint an exact cost but was given a ball park estimate. Cyrus called and arrived by late morning and surveyed our needs. We determined that he would start with the locked room and then replace an exterior doorknob and deadbolt. After checking out another lock, Cyrus said that it did not need to be replaced at this time. We appreciated that he did not try to upsell. He gave us options with estimates for each part of the other work, then proceeded. He explained each step as he worked and cleaned up after finishing. He inquired if we would recycle the old parts which we appreciated. Given his manner and confident explanations, he made the process easy and understandable. We felt comfortable and trusted him. The final cost was within the original ball park estimate.

Not only was the tech (I forgot his name) able to get my deadbolt re-keyed quickly, he also gave me valuable advice on my latch, which was near the end of its useful life. The price was reasonable. They got me an appointment window same-day, and the tech called 15 minutes before he arrived so I had time to get there.

These guys are amazing. We accidentally backed our car into our garage door and it would not open or close. The door was bent, had come off the tracks, and there were metal wires hanging and tangled up near the springs. I called them at 9:30pm and they were at my house the next morning at 9:00am. Nick did a great job communicating and coordinating his arrival. In less than an hour, Nick and Elad had the whole job done, and saved me thousands of dollars by fixing the door instead of telling me I needed to replace it. We are first time homeowners of a multi family home and they helped get ALL the doors rekeyed and were so patient as we followed them around learning all we could about the locks we have. Let me say first that I was hesitant to ask a locksmith to come out for my garage doors. Typically I think locksmiths get a bad rap for charging a ton when you are locked out and in a bind. These guys will shatter that stereotype! August was a complete pro! I was dealing with some family issues so I had to leave. He worked with his partner Ari to install two garage door openers, 3 digitals locks and re-keyed all my locks. They did all of this while I was gone and even took my dog, BobbyD, out to go potty. One of the door handles I wanted was not avail so we had to order it. When it arrived August came back to install it and re-keyed yet another lock, on the house! The kindness and professionalism that he showed me was all I needed to never look anywhere else. And to give them a glowing review! The price was right and the speed in which the came out and installed all the hardware was even better!

Portland Locksmith folks are the best in business in terms of garage door repairs and lock repairs. I recently had my garage door upgraded to a beltless drive. They scheduled the appointment right away even though i had made the request at 12am midnight the very next day. A new opener was installed within 1.5 hours the next day and seals replaced on the garage door right away. They replaced the lock on my door as a complementary gift even though they were done and about to leave. WOW! WOW! WOW! I now know why they have 501 five star reviews! They certainly deserve it. I contacted them at 12:12p via Yelp for a quote. I got a reply from them at 12:14pm (two minutes later!) asking if they could come within 2 hrs to view the work and give me a more accurate quote. Apt window was between 2p-4p They called me 43 minutes (12:58p) later to let me know the technician was on his way and gave me a 30 min eta. The tech arrived early. He was extremely friendly, professional, knowledgeable, gave me tips and pointers of what to look for in the upcoming rainy season (I'm new to PNW). He did a quick assessment of the existing garage door and the motor mechanism and told me everything looked really good except the weather stripping for which I called them out for. Within 5 minutes of looking at what I needed done (weather stripping around my garage door) he said he had time right then and there to do the work! Hell Yeah! The work was completed within 15 minutes, if that. They were done before 2p which was the start of the window of their scheduled time to be here. Whats not to love?! They were fast, efficient, professional and friendly. AND they even came out during all the fires (Riverside/Clackamas County) which they didn't have to do. I would have understood if they didn't because the air quality is the worst in THE WORLD here in Clackamas right now. I'll definitely call them again if I have any garage door or lock issues I need help with. Thank you!!!

My door latch was broken and stuck in the locked position.The key would not unlock the latch. I had a high end Baldwin lock. The screws were behind the door handle assembly which was tightly attached on the door. It was a Friday late afternoon. I thought I would need to wait all weekend to get it fixed and would not be able to open the door but when I called Portland Locksmith they were able to schedule a service call within a few hours! Ricky, the technician, was terrific. He exceeded expectations. He was very friendly and courteous. He quickly understood the issue and was able to get the door handle assembly out. He commented it was unusual for the screws to be behind the door assembly, and the assembly to be glued on the door, but he was able to detach the door assembly fix the latch. I would give Portland Locksmith and Garage Doors 6 stars if I could. On any occasion that I work with this company, I have been impressed with how friendly and how down-to-earth they are. They will do whatever is most safe AND cost effective for their customers. I own an older home with a VERY dated garage door (and garage door opener). On two of the three occasions that I have called Portland Locksmith & Garage Doors, my garage door has become stuck at very inopportune times, and I have called this company--once on a Saturday night after 10 PM, and today, on a sunny Friday afternoon. On the Saturday occasion, Elad, the owner, came cheerfully to my home and made sure that the door was down so I could be safe with my family. He came the next day to install a new garage door opener. Today, he came within 20 minutes of my calling his company and spent over an hour fixing my door. Any other business would have insisted on replacing it right away. Using skills straight out of a Macgyver television show, Elad managed to patch my door together yet again so that I could continue to save for a new door. He has saved me hundreds. He also helped me maneuver the complexities of working with an HOA. On another occasion, I worked with Nick, when I needed to fix my sensors. He, too, was friendly and efficient.

The service at time of visit was excellent. The staff was knowledgeable and professional. But the service call established through our home warranty did not answer critical questions we asked prior to the visit. Specifically we asked if they needed to know anything about the 6 replacement locks covered by our home warranty...we were told no...but upon arrival we were told that because the locks we all different we would need to purchase additional locks that match. This could have been discussed over the phone when we first called. Because we called ahead to discuss any possible issues with our install and were not informed of the need for all locks to be the same during that call, i give 3 stars

I had a very positive experience with this company. I called on a Saturday and the owner was able to arrange for a technician to come out that same afternoon . He took care of a broken spring on my garage door. I am an out of state landlord so my tenant reported that the technician was extremely polite and very nice and did a great job. I was able to pay over the phone with a credit card and I was promptly emailed and itemized receipt ..Another company I had called was $50 more expensive and he wanted me to pay 3.8% to use my credit card or send a check in advance of service. on 8/26/21 i had made an appointment for a locksmith from Clark's locksmith solutions to drill out my work safe that had all of our cash drops and customer devices locked inside, on the phone they quoted me $75.00 to $125.00 to open the lock. the appointment was for the 27th at 9:30 AM, it wasn't until 3PM that they called me back to let me know they were finally on the way and the cost was now going to be $500.00. So i called Portland locksmith and garage doors. at first they were going to have to schedule me for 8/28, however a few minutes after getting off the phone with them, I get a call from a technician that he will be there in 15 minutes. once he got here it took him less than 20 minutes to do the job and cost barely a quarter of anyone else i called in the area. then I find out later that the guy that showed up was the owner, he had heard about our situation and booked it over as soon as he could. For that i am extremely grateful.

Dominic did completely new install f On my senior parent’s 1956 house. Friendly, fast and thorough (reminder that this company are not electricians, so if this is a new install to existing home, you’ll need to get that sorted on your own - we used an extension cord from outlet by door and worked fine [Dominic fed through rafters as well]). Be sure to have a standard bulb available for opener - not included w/ unit. Opener installed is half the volume of the one I have at my place while operating. Dominic returned when there was an alignment issue on sensors and corrected within 2 hours of issue being communicated. Based on Dominic’s performance, I’ll definitely recommend this company.

Amazing service. My bike lock jammed (3 digit rolling tumbler) and would not release after a half hour of trying to unlock it (I suspect foul play from a thief, however that is a different story). My call was dispatched swiftly and a technician (Ricky) was on scene as quickly as possible. The install went smoothly, although they weren't able to dispose of the old one because it was too long for their van. James is a very professional and personable gentleman! He tried for 2 hours to lockpick our doorknob and used other tools and tricks as well before having to resort to drilling it out. If you want someone who will truly try their hardest to get you in your home without resorting to any destructive measures I would recommend asking for James. He came out to our house within 15 minutes of us calling on Friday, February 7th at 10:45pm and tried everything up until about midnight and then drilled it out. The van he was in didn't have the correct parts for our door, since the doorknob hole is further away from the edge of thedoor than normal, and told us that it couldn't be replaced till Monday since suppliers were closed. But, he managed to get the parts on Sunday and came out and installed our new doorknob, thanks James!

Upon inspection, we discover that a spring has broken preventing our approximately 5000-pound garage door from opening. With pizza night on the line, we make a phone call.
