I’ve been driving with a broken apart car key for months! Now I have a nice new one that doesn’t take extra time to put in and take out (whew). Service was great and if I have ever anymore key problems I will definitely be back. Also, how cute is the van? He designed it himself!

Ilan is an absolute stud. I lost my car key in the middle of an enormous city park and had to bus home. I bicycled back with the spare key only to find the car won't recognize it, so even though I can unlock, the immobilizer keeps the car from starting. Back home in N Portland, under pressure, I search for local locksmiths, fearing I will have to get my car all the hell the way out to Ron Tonkin Honda just to have the stupid key made. What's this? Ilan Lock and Key, they do key replacement and programming? First thing in the morning, I leave a message on the answering machine, and by 8am I am receiving the call from my savior. My home was on the way, so Ilan was nice enough to agree to pick me up on the way to my stranded vehicle, and 45 minutes later I am being picked up, and by 9:45 I'm swiping my credit card with a set of 2 new keys at an unbelievable price considering the quality of work and the urgency of the situation. I am grateful to have Ilan in the area - he busted me out of a major jam no sweat. Incredible work, incredible speed, 10 out of 10 I will call again (if and when I need to)

What a great man Ilan is, who performs amazing lockout services. He cut a lock for me on a moving truck rental to see if the keys were inside, they weren't, he proceeded to get the cab open to check there, the keys weren't there either and I was overwhelmingly upset. Ilan assured me the whole way he could fix the problem and voila..... he did. He created keys to keep me on track. He works MAGIC out of his happily decorated van. THANK YOU ILAN!! p.s. I paid and then found the keys 3 days later in a very interesting place and keys in a different position than I put them, but I found them. Still upset about original keys and paying to make new ones, but Ilan did great work.

This is the best experience I've ever had with a locksmith. I was worried that the ignition in my truck needed to be replaced, but luckily, I just needed a new key, and I had a spare made--way less expensive. The work was done incredibly fast over my lunch break, and I made it back to work. Fast forward a couple of months, now my driverside door won't open. I was saved by Ilan, who only needed to lubricate the lock. I felt silly, and he was nice enough not to charge me for the service call. 10/10 service!

Can't recommend Ilan enough. I locked myself out of my house later at night. Didn't have my phone. After calling a bunch of locksmiths from my neighbors off the internet and getting nowhere, I landed on Ilan. He came right out as soon as he finished a job he was on. He knew to first check out all possible entry points of my house, got to work, and for me, magically picked my bolted lock! He was great. No drama and super enjoyable to be around. While there, I asked him about another deadbolt issue I needed to deal with and he came back the next day to replace it. His rates were reasonable and I have already told my neighbors to save his info if they ever need a top-notch locksmith. Highly recommend.

I wanted two working key fobs for my girlfriends vehicle and received a partially working one, and one that was inoperable and not programable. Absolutely the best. I called one company who said they would call back in a few minutes with a quote, 30 minutes later and we still had not heard from them. So I called Ilan Lock and Key and he said he could come out in 20 minutes, which is exactly when he arrived. We just bought a house and never received the key to our backdoor so we weren't in a hurry really but he still treated our business like it was urgent. We also mentioned our insurance only covered us for up to $100 and his immediate reply was well then that is what I will charge! (we know a lot of places charge almost that just to show up, not including the work) He rekeyed the door and was finished in less than 30 minutes. So within an hour of our call we had new keys for our back door. Fast, super nice, efficient, low price, and 100x better than our highest expectations. If we ever need a locksmith again he is at the TOP of our list!

Quick and seamless rekeying of multiple locks using good quality components. The locksmith was polite, professional, knowledgable, and offered great recommendations. They answer the phone promptly, and were even prepared to zoom over and help with a stuck door on very short notice. We ended up un-sticking the door ourselves, and it ended up being unrelated to the lock anyhow. I will be calling Ilan for any needed work in the future, and can heartily recommend anyone else in the area do the same.

So I was very nervous having to call a locksmith to my home to help me fix a problem my vehicle was having with my chipped key not working in my ignition. The reason I was so nervous was that I knew I either needed a new key or I needed a new ignition with a new key and the price difference was hundreds of dollars. So I randomly chose this company due to it being so close to where I lived is all. I talked to the owner briefly on the phone on what I had and what the issue was and he immediately knew what I was going to need which was exactly what I already knew. So he was literally in my parking lot within 15-20 minutes and he had a key that wasn't chipped made about 10 minutes later. He informed me that if this key opened my doors then it would more then likely turn my ignition as well and he was right on both counts and he never even attempted to sell me a rebuilt ignition which he could've at least tried to make more money. He was very honest and I was 100% impressed with how I was treated. It just seems like nowadays we hen you do anything with your vehicle and a shop you have to spend thousands of dollars and the reasons aren't always very obvious. This was one of the few times that I didn't know someone who could help me out on a side hustle so I knew I would be coming out of pocket retail. I didn't regret a penny it cost me and I will always have this locksmiths card in my wallet from this point on in case I need it or anyone I know might need someone. Good job to this guy for sure!!!!
