Some menace to society broke into my girlfriends truck and used a screwdriver to attempt to start the truck and steal it. The OEM system prevented it from happening thankfully but they still left us with a completely destroyed ignition cylinder. We had replaced the ignition cylinder on our own, however the new keys didn't come with a chip! We had to re-key the new ignition to work with the old key, otherwise we had much trouble getting the truck started. Called around several locksmiths and got outright blasphemous quotes for the service we were looking for. Finally gave these guys a call and they charged a literal 1/10 of our highest quote and 1/6 the next best quote. They got it done very quickly, in the span it took us to get lunch, and they were all friendly folk who were genuinely concerned with getting our ignition working! Could not recommend this company enough, they're true artists of their trade and will get it done!

I know I can't give 6 stars, or turn the volume up to 11, but AA locksmith is simply the best around. I didn't realize wading into the world if obtaining a chip key duplicate for my truck was going to be like a nightmare that you can't get out of. I called several places, as well as a few of those ones that pop up, even when you specifically look for another. Most were all at $200.00 to make a key and code it to my car. One was so nice. They don't normally do it, but they were willing to give me a second key for $85.99 and they could do it 5 days from now. When I called AA, they said it's $35.00 and I can bring it in anytime, or they could come to me. I thought maybe they didn't understand what I needed. But they did. They took care of everything and it worked perfectly. They were friendly, professional and very reasonable. Maybe that why they have been around for 40 years. Good place to go for sure.

I come here for all of my locksmith needs. Have been coming here for over 5 years now and they've always been great. Jason has been super helpful every time I've been in. In my most recent visit they were able to get my car fob programmed after being told it wasn't possible at the mechanic where I was getting my breaks done. Took their word for it but figured I would come to AA Express Locksmith for the old college try and they were able to get it programmed while I waited(maybe 5 minutes tops) in the lobby. Jeremiah was the one that was able to work the magic and get it done, will continue to come back and strongly suggest checking them out for any locksmith needs. They also work with AAA which is just a cherry on top.

First of all the staff are wonderful. I have been trying to get my key fixed for quite some time and have been quoted hundreds of dollars for a new one. I wrapped my key fob in electrical tape and duct tape to hold it together. I got frustrated when my key wasn't almost working so I went on Google and saw great reviews and they did a excellent job with almost no wait time and I paid under fifty bucks instead of hundreds. I highly recommend this place to anyone who needs a locksmith or a key. They are awesome.

This was a lucky find. Great service, great prices. I needed a new key for my Honda Accord, was in and out same day, for half of the cost at the dealership. They even told me before I drove there, that I could save more money by buying the blank key online and they could cut and program it, but they had a blank on hand if I needed it right away. These guys bailed us out big time! We rented a car from Alamo at the airport and locked the keys in the trunk of a 2021 Camry (meaning we couldn’t access the trunk from the main cabin). Long story short… this company stepped up had our back when the rental company (rudely) told us there was nothing they could do and we’d have to tow the car and replace it (even though ALL of our luggage was in the trunk, so we had to get in there either way). Jeremiah was able to get into the trunk in about five minutes. We were so relieved it didn't have to turn into an expensive all-day issue. The only locksmith I'll use for our cars. Got quoted $200+ for duplication of an older (pre-chip) key and lock repair by a place closer to my house, these guys took my worn key, cut two new ones to factory spec and fixed my locks for $23 total. Partly that difference was because they have a lot of knowledge about lock issues specific to my car, and suspect they can do the same for you. It's not the first time they've done fast, professional work for me at a great price, and I'll definitely be back. Also nice to see good, common-sense pandemic awareness.

At the dealership, they wanted $296 for the key fob, programming the door locks and car start transmitter, and cutting the "dummy" (metal) key. AA Express provided the same product and service for $185. I didn't need an appointment because they already had the key model in stock and because the service was so fast. And friendly, too :)

I bought a replacement key fob online thinking that I could program it myself. To my disappointment, it turns out that my car requires special programming equipment for the chip key. I called all around Portland and I am glad I finally called AA Express. They had my key working in just a few minutes at a fair price. They are a locksmith shop with experienced, knowledgeable technicians that are set up to do keys quickly, conveniently and at a good price. Exactly the opposite of what I encountered at multiple other locksmiths. Very professional and highly recommended.

This locksmith is amazing! They specialize in car keys, and when I came in today with some shells and batteries I ordered on amazon, instead of trying to sell me something they actually tested my keys, helped me figure out that my keys were fine but it’s probably the mechanism inside my door, which would be something I can have a mechanic look at. They also showed me a work around for now so I am sure I won’t get locked out, and helped me understand how the whole thing works. Really went above and beyond, definitely going here for any future needs and happy to spread the word on how top notch they are. Nice to see there are still some businesses that value relationships and word of mouth along with quality!

A job that I was quoted at others places for 240+ dollars in order to get my car key fix/replaced, they were able to do it for under the insurable amount under AAA and therefore I was covered and didn't have to pay a thing! Before I share my gripe, these guys are amazing. Their service was top notch, their speed was only slowed by an extremely stubborn car, and their prices are very competitive. I WILL use these guys again in the future! Now, the reason for being a bit grumpy. I bought a car from a local dealer and it only had one key. They sent me over to AA to have another key made. My car was feeling stubborn that day and wouldn't take the programming. They changed a few batteries and did some other technical voodoo on it and eventually got everything working. I took my brand new key, and went on with my life. Fast forward 2 months... all of the buttons quit working on the key. No biggie, I figured it was only a dead battery. I took my key to the battery store anb got one. I replaced the battery and nothing happened. I took it to a 24 hour locksmith, late on a Sunday night to see if he can check it out electronically. He said the battery was good, but didn't seem to be making contact. I bought a replacement key off of him so my wife could have one that worked. To make this long story short, it turned out that AA took both of my keys apart. The factory key and the replacement key, while exact replicas on the outside, had a slight difference on the inside. The new key's guts were slightly thicker. Like decimal points of a millimeter thicker. When they put the keys back together, the put the guts in the wrong keys. I only found this out because I opened the key up to look at it, and finding nothing I opened up my key to compare side by side. That's when I noticed the rubber pad had slightly different sized contacts ant the buttons themselves had minute differences where they made contact as well. I switched them out with each other and everything works fine now. I spent 180 dollars on a key I didn't need because somebody didn't remember rule #1 in automotive repair. Put things back together the same way you take it apart. It was an honest mistake, and I will probably change my review after I forget the pain of buying a new key. But right now, I wanna give AA express 180 reasons to keep keys separate from each other.

I brought it to Jason & Jeramiah for programming but unfortunately the FCC ID# of the FOB I'd ordered was incompatible with my car. All keys lost for a Toyota Prius. The dealer wanted the car towed to them, and 3 to 5 business days to get the keys. AA Express was recommended, so I gave them a call. They had the keys in stock, they came to me, a friendly locksmith programmed two keys, and all done for half the price than the dealer quoted, and same day vs waiting a week.

I love this place! I am so grateful for people who don’t overcharge. I went to Toyota several years back to ask about my driver side that didn’t lock. They told me they’d have to replace all my locks not just the one which would cost over $700, which I did not have. So for years I’ve dealt with people breaking into my car. Finally I contacted AA Express after they helped me with my ignition switch (which someone tried to steal my car). They treated me with respect and were truly honest people to work with. I got my one lock fixed finally after the 4th break in and they fixed it for less than a 1/4th of what Toyota would. They are the best. They won’t steer you wrong.

Just a shout out to Ryan who is a tech who works there at AA Express who gave me advice to get a car with a no start issue my son and daughter-in-law had due trying to use the wrong key over and over. Prompt polite service. Did not represent replacement fob as OEM but given how they had to flash the system to program it (a 16 minute process), and this is not requred for brand new ones, am pretty sure it was not just off-brand but actually a reused/reboxed one with 'vintage' electronics inside that had been previously programmed to a different vehicle, which I could have gotten for WAY CHEAPER and brought in to have programmed instead, or could have gone with the OEM one from a dealership for not very much more. Felt like too late to call it all off by the time it was clear this was happening. Would probably not use this business again because I feel slightly taken advantage of, but I do have a working key fob that they said they guarantee, at what was probably an average price. I guess I should have asked more specific questions - but it never occurred to me that a locksmith would be using a reused fob. TBH if I didn't know any better, I would have assumed I got a brand new fob, just of a aftermarket brand, and left happy.

Hi I'm not a paid reviewer you can look at my history. But I just wanted to give aa express locksmith a good review. But let me Begin by saying that my car was stolen last week and it was a complete nightmare it took me 9 days to finally figure out which locksmith to use a great deal because alotof Chip programmers don't answer the phone or return calls so even getting quotes was a difficult task. But I was referred to AA by another locksmith. And my entire expierence with them was professional and they explained things to me to help me break down the cost. After an hour they were finished early and even took off 35$ from the original quote. I highly recommend this company.

I went to AA Express Locksmith today to get a replacement key fob for my Kia Soul!! ( A little present for my wife!) I must say these guys are truely professional and reasonably priced! I was impressed with our conversations on the phone when I first contacted them. They knew all the right questions to ask me so that when I showed up at their office, the visit and programming went very efficiently and quickly. You know that feeling when you are finally landing at the airport from your final leg of a long trip back home. Having been gone to a trade show for over a week we were just eager to get off that plane and get home. Then it occurs to you.....where are the car keys? We searched our baggage and every pocket we had and NO CAR KEYS! Now what? Lucky for us we called AAA and they sent out AA Express Locksmith. Austin (the wonderful) met us at our car just the moment we exited the bus for long term parking. He assured us no problem we can get you a key cut for your car and off you will go. we were in a bind and received excellent service from AA Express. they came out, made us a new key. deducted 50$ for AAA membership. told us to come in any time and get our other old keys updated for free (we are from out of town and were stranded in pdx when we lost the one key we had on us). we have since returned to portland and gotten those updates. very friendly, quick, helpful!!! SOOOOOOOOO much better service than what the honda dealership offered!! thanks!

Yesterday was a Sunday and I was in Portland on business. Ryan is the name on the card he gave me. He and his trainee got to my rental car within about fifteen minutes of my call to Triple-A Motor Club for my lockout. Then I was back in my rental car and on the road in minutes. Since I was a AAA member all they needed to see was my driver's license. I'd recommend these guys if you ever get locked out of your car. They were very fast, friendly and professional.

Keenan Moore!!!!! I can't believe you would write bad reviews about Dave and AA Express Locksmith in Google and Dex. Dave is a LOCKSMITH and his job is to go out and do lockouts and key makes. Sometimes the locksmiths are holding other calls so they cannot stay that long to see if your truck can be jump by their small vehicles. That is why he tried and when it didn't work, he had AAA sent out the proper vehicle that can handle the battery jump. I know AA Express Locksmith are very professional and courteous. I use them all the time and will continue using them.
