Ordered the remotes I needed to use with my truck, made me a new key for my truck because mine broke, and the prices are very very reasonable! They had the cheapest prices around that I found! Would recommend this place over and over! We called a few locksmiths around Grand Rapids and Ronny really saved us on Tuesday! Our key broke off in our lock on our moving truck the morning of our move. He told us to bring the truck in and he could try and fix it right away. He was seriously so nice and went out of his way to take a few minutes to help us out of a pickle even though their locksmiths were all busy. Don’t go anywhere else! ☺️

I brought an antique cedar chest with a safe inside here to have the lock picked. The gentlemen working carried the chest inside for me, picked the lock, made keys for both the safe and chest, and carried it back out to my car for me - all for far less than I could have ever dreamed to have paid! I couldn't be more grateful and will be back soon to have a spare car key made (which they quoted at far less than the Kia dealership). 😊

The staff here really knows their stuff and has good customer service. PLUS, if you like dogs there is one here (I think her name is Molly) that likes pets and belly rubs.

I chose Hoogerhyde when I needed security products, and I am glad I did. I can't say enough good things. The owner told me "don't worry, we'll take good care of ya." He was absolutely right. From sale through delivery the customer service was simply outstanding. Very knowledgeable about the market and was able to answer any questions I had. The delivery service was A+, and they even delivered out of state. Overall a very competent, honest, and fair company with a top priority of making the customer happy. Great service provided by Joel today. My condo was a mismatch of locks that were not keyed the same. I bought a few new knobs and Joel was able to get everything in the entire place down to one type of key and he did it quickly. The final bill was way less than I expected for the amount of work that he did.

Locksmith came out to my new house for a re-key. Locksmith was about an hour late from initial estimates, which was inconvenient for a new home buyer, but nothing I'm too upset about. Re-keying took about 45 mintues, and the guy was super professional and answered a few of my questions outside of his scope of practice, which was really great. Hoogerhyde has always been reliable, and I will always choose them over any other business.

I was in the market for a fire proof data safe to store hard drives of family photos and videos. I had been looking all over, including big box stores, but everything was terribly expensive. On a whim, I stopped into Hoogerhyde. I'm so glad I did! They had a used data safe in their backroom that was better than anything I'd seen in the box stores. They painted and delivered the unit for an extremely fair price. I will only go to them for now on. Don't waste your time at a box store. These guys are awesome and they know their stuff. I have purchased eight safes now from Tom and Matt. They are the best in the business in both sales and service. They execute perfection at installation under difficult circumstances in tight quarters and without so much as a single nick or scrape to any walls, floors, doors or trim. I would give them ten stars here if I could. Don't even waste your time elsewhere. I drove all over MI and to two neighboring states looking for what they were able to do. Very good experience with Hoogerhyde. Squeezed me into the schedule on very short notice for a move of a 1000 lb safe. Guys arrived early and were very professional and friendly. Job was fairly straight forward and. They were in and out in 30 mins. Also, even though I did not purchase the safe from them (purchased from Costco), they offered to haul away the sizable packaging material for me. That was very helpful. I would highly recommend Hoogerhyde and will definitely use them again.

Response - The only reason I tried to call you again, and I know we all try to look for positives, I was, in fact, desperate to get this safe out of my house and did not know where, or who to turn to. Had you communicated I had become "Persona Non Grata" I would've never reached out to your business again. It's not every day you have to move an 800 pound safe out of a two story house. And once again for the record, I did nothing to deserve the treatment I received on the phone other than spend hard earned money with your established business in good faith. I asked Tom, point blank "what did I say or do"? There has been no legitimate reason/communication, as to why you put me on your so-called "naughty list", Needless to say, your guys still put a hole in my wall with the electric dolly/safe, as I watched them struggle for an hour taking it up a simple flight of stairs. I mention this, because even though I should have been upset, I wasn't(I realize accidents happen) I did, in fact, end up having the safe removed with nothing more than a heavy duty dolly and two people - not one scratch on the wall. Let the record show - You Were totally Unfair! I'm puzzled as to why you were willing to sell/deliver me another safe after the fact. I must NOT have been too much trouble. You were willing to take more money from me on a new/safe trade, for the first safe purchased there. Are you sure it wasn't because the way the stairs turned, you decided to shy away in fear there might be more holes made in my wall? This was about the only unfortunate issue to happen and trying to figure out for the life of me, how something is being held against me. I bet that note wasn't made. I know A lot of people in this town, having lived here my entire life, and they know it is not in my nature/character to ever disrespect, Anyone!. I will stand up for myself, for sure, and if anyone knows me well, they know this about me. I never initiate or come close to causing trouble, no matter who it is or what the issue is. I Always try the diplomatic approach, unlike what was done here. I respect and treat all people, places and establishments equal with regard to. I always try to approach difficult issues with diplomacy and try to work through it with extreme Care & Respect. You can't go wrong with those ethics. On the contrary, You can't just go around treating people the way was treated here and think it will sit well.? It makes absolutely no sense being treated that way after spending hard earned money, not just on the safe, but on numerous subsequent occasions prior to finding this built animosity and bitter feelings toward me, which incidentally landed me on some kind of "naughty list" there. That's called being passive aggressive where I come from - why didn't higher management call me if there was a problem or the owner, after the fact? I had no problems with this established business other than being unaware of the grudge that was being held against me. I enjoyed my visits there. Hoogerhde, being the very small "Niche" safe business that is - maybe one of very few, in ALL of Michigan. They decided it was easier for them to create a "BaD Customer" list rather resolve problems/issues, because they know they can, being there is No one else to call when dealing with this sort of issue. The arrogance of claims being made, to the effect of, "why I called them again for service".? I never said this was a bad business, I'm merely defending myself to false accusations. You had the problem with me? The burden of proof lies on, and within the accuser. They treated me this way, and I assume other customers also, as he stated, others be on this so-called "Bad Customer" list as well, because, they know the competition is slim to none. What defines humanity? Not this kind of treatment for sure! I was in a tough spot, and not only did this business disappoint, but it let me down in a time of desperate need with no where else to turn. Communication makes the world go round...

Went to have them program a remote keyless fob. The power locks work, he said it went through the program, it just didn't work. He couldn't figure it out. Upside I didn't have to pay. Downside they can't figure out how to program a remote keyless fob for a Dodge.

These fellas moved my safe into my basement via a pacarius stairwell. The safe was decent sized and around 1,400 lbs. They came with all sorts of equipment including a machine that looked like it had tank tracks to drive it down the stairs! They even had to build a wooden ramp. Seemed like no big thing for them, but it was, and they did it safely. Thank you guys!
