He did all he could to make the cost as low as possible and communicated well through the process. For reference, if you want the fastest service ask for the VIN to be sent to the dealer, otherwise you can save money by allowing them to do their thing (and hopefully figure it out the first time!)

Let me just say, I have had to get a lock smith more then once and i’ve never had an experience where i felt like leaving a good review. but after being helped by John today i need to share how freakin awesome he is! I lost my only car key so initially the only thing I needed was a new key. Once we got in my car the steering wheel ended up being locked to the point where we had to push my car cause it was on a hill. we spent over an hour trying to get the key to turn. he was so patient and genuinely cared about helping me. get that man a raise he rulesss!!!!

John was the tech that came out to program new keys for our Honda. Both he and the office dispatcher were courteous, professional and knowledgable. John had the job done super quick and for $10 less than quoted. Only problem was that he didnt arrive until 2 hours after the time he said he was on his way. Otherwise a very good experience.

Not at all happy with this service. It took the guy not even 30 seconds to open the door of my truck and they quoted me 159 dollars for that? Not to mention I had to wait for an hour and a half for him to show up. Over the phone they made it seem like I'd be paying 50-70 at most. Will definitely never be using this service again. UPDATE: I was contacted by Roy who explained what had happened and he issued a refund that brought the total down to 85 which we both agreed was fair. I am very impressed with how this was handled and am therefore updating this review to 5 stars. Thanks Roy.

I would definitely recommend this shop. I dealt with a less than ideal tech my first time around and didn't get the correct key with the correct functions. After voicing my concerns about the incorrect key, I met with the owner who was very kind and willing to go out of his way to help me. He fixed the key is under 2 minutes and got everything functioning as is it should. Overall, they were able to take a bad experience with one person and turn it into a great experience overall which speaks to their true customer service and values.

I didn't use Highlands Locksmith for service but I absolutely will if I need a locksmith in the future. My shop had an attempted break-in and they damaged the locking system. Luckily, they didn't make it past the door but it's still keeping me up at night. My management company sent a locksmith (not Highlands) and secured it; however, I was told I need a CUSTOM guard plate attached to the door so it would prohibit this issue from happening again. I wanted to know if my lock required a guard to be made or if they were just prolonging the situation. John, one of the technicians at Highlands Locksmith, was so wonderful in giving me the information I needed. Yes, in fact, my lock needs a custom plate. Knowing that and John giving me the confirmation I needed after looking at many pics, made me feel better. They're honest here and their customer service is top notch considering I didn't use them.

The key to my car wouldn’t work in my ignition. After trying to trouble shoot it myself with the help of google I still wasn’t able to get it to work. I called these guys and they were able to come in about an hour (weather was terrible with snow, wind and below freezing temps)-more than acceptable given the weather and traffic conditions. Zach was able to trouble shoot the problem that did unfortunately require him to replace the ignition switch. Not only that, but he gave me a new key for a discounted price. In addition to that, because I wasn’t able to turn my car on and temps were dropping quickly, he let me wait in his car while he was working on mine.
