Very fast, easy to work with, and reasonably priced with great customer service. Brian was at our house in 20 minutes, and quickly put our minds at ease. We had accidentally locked an old door in our house that we thought had a decorative lock, with our pet inside! The lock was an antique and appeared to have some customizations made, but Brian knew exactly how to get it open again. Hopefully, we will never be in the need for an emergency locksmith again, but I whole heartedly recommend Brian and the rest of the team at Ben’s Lock and Key!

The ignition lock broke on my Hyundai, the key wouldn’t turn at all I called Bens Lock and Key and they were able to remedy the situation by providing Quick, Timely Service at a very fair price and then told me to use my AAA membership for an additional $100 off of my bill. Ever have your husband lose your spare key fob? Totally call Ben's Lock & Key! After declaring I could totally program it myself (wrong!) I had to get it done some way. I had already purchased the fob itself but needed someone fancy to program it. Ben's Lock & Key was perfect! He was able to cut a key to allow my car to receive power so i could open my trunk. Highly recommend him as well as this company for there professionalism and knowledge. Key broke off in the ignition of my car. Ben & his team are wonderful, communicate quickly & efficiently, and did a job no one would do (or they'd want $150 to try, but no guarantee.) I can't thank them enough. Highly recommend and will ONLY recommend them. And they came from over an hour away, in high heat, and the key was so deep down in the ignition that I was out of luck if Ben couldn't fix it. Absolute pros!

I used them again to help open a small home safe that i lost the key to, as i hid the key from myself. HIGHLY recommend using this locksmith. I moved recently and the Seller's left us only 1 key, and several non working locks. We needed someone out right away and Ben's Lock and Key sent out Joe who came out promptly all the way to Milmay. Great company! I accidentally locked myself out of my car in Haddonfield and when I called Ben's Lock & Key I got a dispatcher immediately. They were very polite and helpful. Joe got to my location quickly and was very nice. I actually didn't end up needing him to unlock my car because a family member had shown up with a spare key right before he got there, so Joe only charged me $35 for making the trip out, which I was happy to pay. I would definitely use this company again in the future.

While Bern was re-keying the locks at the condo he helped my husband with a window screen installation and helped to lubricate the channels on the sliding glass door and windows at no charge! Ben was incredibly helpful when my dad and I were locked out of our car in the middle of a rest stop. After unsuccessfully searching for the key, and trapped hours away from our destination, a Google search led us to Ben who was located in the area. Ben kept us consistently in the loop as he called around trying to search for a solution for us. Fortunately, we did find the key 45 minutes later which was dropped at the rest stop. But Ben’s kindness, and willingness to help out in a stressful situation did not go unnoticed. If we’re ever in the area and run into lockout trouble, we know who to call!

Manufacturer shipped the part out to me (no cost to me)..as soon as I got the part, Joe was back out within 2 hours of calling! Gidi came to my home for an estimate on a deadbolt installation on my back door and a "not catching or locking" issue on our front screen door. It was great that he was able to accomodate my schedule by not coming until 5:30p.m. and he showed up on time. He provided the estimate for both doors and were prepared to do the work immediately. Reasonable price, cleaned up wood shavings well, knowledgable, and spent time explaining options to me. I felt comfortable and safe with gidi in my home. My doors work great now!!! So for some context my first experience with Ben's took place in the snow storm that hit New Jersey in the first week of 2018. A strong wind blew my keys onto my car seat and slammed the door behind it, locking me out. I called around to a couple of mechanic shops to get an idea of how much it would cost to pick the lock, and while all the options I tried were roughly the same cost to unlock the car, Ben's was the smallest charge for the driving fee, and I was impressed with the total cost estimate, given it was in the middle of a snow storm after all. After calling in and giving my location and details, I was called by Joe telling me he would be at my location in 20 min. He made it to my location a few minutes late, but given the weather I'm not holding it against him. Joe was very polite, straight forward, and strangly cheerful (for the situation), and was incredibly efficient at opening my car. Overall it was a good experience, hence my rating. My only warning about this is that for services like what I had done they prefer cash to credit, so you may want to hit an ATM before they arrive, it's more a minor inconvenience than a out right flaw, but it is worth noting.

Just moved into a new apartment and the door frame had a large crack in it with a very poorly installed deadbolt lock on the door. I was nervous to move in my stuff without having a secure lock on the door and maintenance for my building was not very helpful so I called Ben's Lock & Key and Joe was at my apartment within an hour. I tried to rekey a lock on my own today (on a Sunday) and couldn't get it right, of course. I called Ben on a Sunday and he was available immediately. Within 30 min, Ben had my lock fixed and rekeyed to match the rest of the house. He was very friendly, polite and professional. If he wasn't available I would have had to leave the exterior door unlocked for the night with a big storm coming. I would have gladly paid whatever he asked for to save me from my own mistake, but as a testament to his professionalism, he didn't fleece me for an inflated fee on a Sunday when he could have. I recently found myself needing a quality locksmith on VERY short notice to re-key all the locks on my home. I found Ben's Lock and Key, checked their website to ensure that they're bonded and insured (a very big deal with locksmiths) and made the call. The locksmith they sent to my home was Joe, and I'm very glad they did. Joe was polite, prompt, and extremely good at his job. He spoke to me about the condition of the locks due to age, so we decided to replace the entire locksets instead of re-key. Additionally, my home is older and the front door wasn't latching securely (before the lock swap and after), so Joe adjusted the doorjamb so that it latched at no extra charge. Disappointing experience. I called Ben's to rekey the locks on my front and back door. Two days later, when I went to use the back door for the first time since they came, the doorknob (I kid you not) came entirely off in my hand. I called their office, and the woman in charge wasn't remotely apologetic, despite the fact that her guys had obviously broken the knob. Then it took three(!) return visits for them to fix it: the first time, the doorknob fell off again; the second time, the guy didn't have the part they broke; and the third time, they finally appear to have gotten it right. Throughout this whole ordeal, no one apologized at all. Can't recommend these guys. UPDATE: A couple weeks after seeing this review, they called me to apologize and offer me a partial refund, which I appreciated.
