Always recommend these guys - just incredible to work with whether for home, vehicle or office - these are our go-to guys for all things locks. Dealer wanted to charge me minimum of $800 to change out the ignition on my Sequoia. Mason made me a new key with chip for $90 and I was back on the road in 15 minutes. Bert can come out and do a house walk-around to provide upgrades for security and safety. Great people to have in your contact list!

First of all I arrive at 20 minutes before closing. You’re not supposed to do that on a Saturday afternoon. Christian was the gentleman who helped me in the store. I was told by a dealer at Toyota that a replacement key that work and open my doors automatically is in the range of $160 a key. I needed this key fob . Christian proceeded to change the battery didn’t work then he tried to change out some of the guts of the key didn’t work they didn’t have a replacement key but he had another key but he was able to combine with my key and all of a sudden we were in business. All of this done with a smile. This is after closing time. And his comment to me was well I’ve now got your old keys so I’m not gonna charge you anything. OMG and I thought customer service it disappeared? If you need a excellent locksmith that is honest and fair and says I’m going to take care of you even if you arrive late…..that’s the kind of service I want in my life. Thank you Christian. You have made such a difference. I have crippling arthritis and my husband has dementia. That clicker is going to be a game changer for us. Thanks again!!

Very happy with the Sandy Springs Locksmith. I had the opportunity to meet the owner when I was there. His entire team did a great job with numerous requests. I had some locks changed to be the same key as the existing. They were able to make keys for locks that were missing keys. And I simply had some copies made. Today I visited this store to unlock my portable safe. To my surprise a worker unlocked it with a key that I brought but was unsure of. They fixed the problem and refused to let me pay. Wow...10 out of 10 recommend! They were honest from start to finish. My cars key fob is apparently rare. I ordered the part from two other companies and it sent incorrectly. I've been to "The Real" Sandy Springs Locksmith a couple of times to get motorcycle keys copied - one from the mid-80s and the other a laser cut key (without a code). Went in on a Saturday picked the safe for my needs with the help of the person there and also had a few keys made. Safe was scheduled for delivery Thursday at 3pm. At 3:06 I got a call that they were running late but were loading my safe and then would be on the way. I expected to wait another hour but they were at my house by about 3:40pm. Quickly and easy installation and they showed me how to open my new safe as I'm a first time safe owner. Giving 5 stars because I appreciated the communication and the very friendly service.

Duplicating car keys can be a stressful task. Trust is critical. I wasnt going to conduct business with someone that shows up at my home/car and leaves. They may have good reviews online and those reviews may be legitimate. Thats just not good enough for a task of this nature. I chose to use a local company with a long history of serving the community. I arrived at the Sandy Springs Locksmith store at 9am, the start of their business day. They were there and perhaps have been for a long time since they started the business in 1965. Service with a smile, a friendly face. After a few questions, 20 minutes later my duplicate key was ready. The guys are coming to my home next week to help with another key related issue. I highly recommend Matt and the SSL team. When I called to inquire about installing new locks, the gentleman recommended that I first purchase the particular hardware I wanted to eliminate the back & forth of ordering something, returning it for something different, etc. He also gave me a rough estimate of how much the installation would cost. I needed a custom key made for an older file cabinet lock and Sandy Springs Locksmith employees Rick and Mat delivered. I called a few other "locksmiths' they all wanted to come to my site and charge $150-$200 to unlock the cabinet, then they would see if they could make a key. Rick took my information about the code number on the exterior of the lock, from there they were able to offer me several "blanks" that I tried out . Matt was willing to do what it took to find the right blank. We found one that was a match, they cut the key, it worked perfectly. This company has been at this same site for more than 50 years and I hope they stay there another 50 years...Highly recommend

I've lived in my Sandy Springs home for 30 years and have only used Sandy Springs Locksmith. They don't tell you how much it'll be until after they've already sent the specialist out– it's on a car to car basis. The service was speedy and the contractor accepted multiple forms of payment, including Square and Venmo. Edit: Changing my review to due the auto response. They do offer services for safes but not the service I got and an obvious attempt to advertise without reading the content of the review.

Had them out to our business a while back to replace the lock but they found another issue to be the problem and saved us money and did not replace the lock! Decided to call them for a duplicate Suzuki motorcycle key. Went by the store with the key and it turned out to be the same as a car key. Dealership wanted $30+ and SSL was under $6. They have everything including FOBs. Was very impressed.

Sandy Springs Locksmith is a well know superior organization. I've used them for years. Now they have Dan Barber and my admiration is even higher. Dan came on short notice and went to work. He reinstalled a Heavy sliding glass door that I could not even lift and had it back to normal in short order. Then he turned to the mechanism on our front door. It is a heavy brass antique inside door knob which had come off and apart. He said, this is one of my favorite antique latches and I know it well. I was amazed at his knowledge and skill. Then, noticed the heavy oak door was not hanging as it should so he re-screwed it in with heavier screws. Great service with a smile and well worth the price. WA Dial

*Not related to service quality * I was a customer, yet I usually come to this location strictly for work. I am a supervisor for a large company in the area and this company has a running account with this locksmith to replace/repair keys. If a key is broken or we need to make copies, we come here. Over the last 4 years, I’ve come here for work, in my uniform, with my dispatch radio on my hip & all, during my shift to service keys for the building. I’m usually greeted with lack luster service closer to negative attitudes but, I don’t have a choice in coming here so I deal with it. Today I had to make 1 copy, was told the key type “isn’t a restricted key for ___(my company)”. I usually get a invoice receipt, but today I was asked to pay $4 for this key, and aggressively told it wasn’t a key related to the building. I should have walked out & key then keep the key but, I didn’t, they looked over the key again, and again asked to pay for it, or charge $15 to the account. I mean, it’s not my key so it can billed to whomever for however much, that’s not really my problem. But again, to keep the peace I paid for this key myself & charge it to the obvious. The attitude and the way they talk to me was uncalled for, when they see me in here every month. I’m the only woman on my team & while I don’t expect them to “remember me”, my uniform isn’t that common & my reason for coming here can always be checked. I’m not a customer here anymore for myself, and I’ll just have my male counterparts take on this task going forward. Another example of poor interpersonal skills at work

Matt, Mike, and the whole crew are awesome! I searched for hours over the course of 3 days to find a local brick and mortar locksmith that was reasonable. I needed Nissan keys and I could program them myself. $20 a piece cut, everyone else was $180+ plus service fees and all this nonsense. Daniel Barber from Sandy Springs Locksmith came out to my home today to work on our doors. The worst of our locks was from the 80’s and always jams up on us. He was so friendly and fixed 3 of our doors so efficiently. Now our locks slide like butter and work perfectly. We first used Sandy Springs Locksmith around 1991, when we moved to the Buckhead area. We haven't needed a locksmith often, but when we have, we called Sandy Springs Locksmith. Recently, we decided to do something about several locks that weren't operating smoothly, and finally replace the front door lock that required its own key. Daniel Barber came today. He got 7 door locks operating smoothly and replaced the front door knob lock with one with the same key as our other knob locks. "Craftsman" is the word that came to mind, as I watched him skillfully solve all of our lock problems, and good craftsmen are valuable assets! Daniel is very professional, courteous, and likeable. He not only upheld the reputation of Sandy Springs Locksmith, he enhanced it!

I needed a new intelligent access key (remote start) for my Ford Edge and had been told that it could only be programmed at a dealership. I was quoted no less than $100 to program the key by several metro area dealerships. I came to the real Sandy Springs Locksmith and Matt was terrific. I had previously ordered a blank key from another online vendor that turned out to be the wrong model, but Matt tried everything he could to make that one work on 2 different visits. He then directly ordered the correct model for a reasonable price, and it came in 2 days later. He then programmed it quick and easy for 25% less than the best dealership quote I'd received. I will definitely use these guys again in the future.

The technician who came out to perform the work, Larry, was excellent! I did opt for an additional item, however never once did I feel he was pushy and instead felt as if he simply wanted me to know what options were available if I wanted to increase my security measures. Although he was not initially on time, he did call to indicate his previous assignment had run over a bit, gave me an ETA, and was there within the new agreed upon time. You would think after charging me for keys that don't work, Sandy Springs Locksmith would be more helpful. They haven't. They are making me follow back up with them. And each new person I have to deal with is as unprofessional as the last one. The last person just laughed at me. I am not looking forward to trying to get my money back. Just returned home from Sandy Springs Locksmiths. I had a key break off in a deadbolt lock and couldn't remove the "stub". Then I used another key to open the door from the other side so I could remove the lock from the door and low and behold , could not get that key out either. Isaac quickly removed the stuck key and the "stub" , made me replacement keys and would accept NO PAYMENT! Also gave me a sample of lubricant to spray on other locks to keep them working smoothly. A couple of weeks ago both of my car keys broke around the same time when I was trying to turn the car on. The key portion was coming out of the plastic case. I have a 2008 Toyota Camry. I love my car and I haven't really run into any major issues since I purchased it, so for both of my keys to break within days of each other was a little devastating. I contacted the dealership and they told me it was going to cost at least around $400 to replace both keys. I decided to do some research online and found that I could replace the casing for each key for around $6 each for the case with a blank key. I decided to buy one just to figure out just how easy it would be to do. When it arrived I was able to transfer the components from my old key into the new one but when I went on a search to find a place to cut the actual key that was when I ran into a struggle. I tried Home Depot, Walmart, and Ace Hardware. Ace Hardware was the one that finally recommended that I try this awesome locksmith. When I walked in I was greeted by the friendly gentlemen by the name of Bert and and Matt. When I told them my situation they quickly let me know they were able to fix it with no problem. They were able to cut the key for me in the matter of seconds. I was so ecstatic! When I went to my car to try the key , the car engine would not turn over. I went back in and brought the key and it turned out that there was a chip inside of my plastic casing for my old key and I didn't even realize it was there. Matt was able to get that chip out of my old key and place it to new one and there you have it. I was able to get the key replaced with a little work on my end for about $15! Can't even explain how satisfied I am with the service I received, the promptness of the resolution, and the amount of money that I was able to save thanks to them. I will definitely be using this Locksmith Service for any of my key needs.

My car key broke off from the FOB part, so I had to use the valet key in order to drive my car. I got tired of having to manually unlock my door and the trunk, so I asked the Honda dealer how much it would cost to fix. The dealer said there was no way to fix it and that a replacement would be $150.00. I tried going to Lowe's and Ace Hardware, but was told the only place to get this type of key is the Honda dealer. I'd give these guys a 10 if the rating system went that high. I needed a new door knob set for the door going from the garage into the house, and as it turned out, the old knob set isn't manufactured any longer and all the other doors were of the same old type and I wouldn't have been able to use the same key if I had gone to a big box store and bought a competitor knob. SS Locksmith (Sheila) found a compatible knob set that would take the old key, and it came in the same day they ordered it. That was a big stress reliever for me, however, after I tried to install the new knob, I ran into a problem which resulted from me not knowing any of the tricks of installation, and also because the instructions in the box weren't clear. I called SS Locksmith and reached Kirk who was on call and he patiently helped me troubleshoot, looked at pictures I sent him, and finally figured out the mistake I was making. With this knowledge, I finally understood the "trick" and I was able to successfully install the door knob and it works great. Kirk was amazingly patient, professional, knowledgeable and helpful. If I have any lock issues in the future, you can be sure I'll be calling on Kirk and the rest of the gang over at SS Lock for their expert help!

Kolker, is the Only Option to consider when you need a real, professional locksmith, not some guy who may have some skills and talk a good game, while promising the best price, but who really is just luring you in with one goal: take your money. I speak from experience. Though I have had occasional business with The Real Sandy Springs Locksmith for minor tasks, this was mainly due to their location a few doors down from Mr. Day's barber shop, which I frequented for years. Mr. Day spoke highly of them, I thought highly of Mr. Day, one plus one equals two. However, one day years ago, I had them copy a key, which they apparently screwed up. I returned, angry, and frustrated. I was a jerk, they were not, though I was in the wrong. I had asked them to make copies of the wrong key, and since I didn't consider anything beyond somebody else to blame, I made a fool of myself. They did not treat me as I had treated them. They made copies of the correct key, apologized for any inconvenience AND refunded my original payment. The correct copies were complimentary. They never cast blame, they just solved a problem they had not created. Much later, a friend's son (up to no good) lost all the keys and fobs for a weird little car (Scion?) that had a remarkably sophisticated security system. She asked my help, which I provided by use of Google. I spoke with a slick, seemingly knowledgeable rep who promised service within the hour, and quoted a "reasonable" price with some caveats. I said OK. Then, I thought "Why am I giving business to strangers when I know quality locals? It was early a.m. but I called The Real Sandy Springs Locksmith, and to my surprise the guy told me, word for word what this Googled outfit had promised, and what was actually going to happen when they arrived. He said they were crooks-a pretty strong statement-but every thing he predicted happened. I had the original guys ordered off the property, and here is the kicker: The Real Sandy Springs Locksmith could not do the work I needed done. it was miles outside what would have been cost effective, BUT, they told me exactly what to do and how to proceed to get the job done correctly and honestly. I saved much time and money, they got nothing but this referral. If you need a locksmith or if you need an honest opinion from a locksmith, these are the guys to seek out. Besides Burton, the owner, I have had great experiences with Daniel Barber and other locksmiths, including a woman who saved me quite a bit of time and money, but whose name I just can't recall. I have no idea if they are the cheapest or the most expensive locksmiths around; but they know their business and speak honestly about what they can, cannot or will not do, and the prices they quote are the prices they charge. They are the real deal. Why even bother with anyone else? I have not been paid in any way for this referral-honestly stated-but I wouldn't be averse to any such payment. Thank you.
