While here our hotels laundry room was out of service so we found this place. Quaint and quiet little place to go and do your laundry with a lot of history. The gentleman behind the counter was friendly and very helpful.
Decker Slowey
This place is so unique and the people running it are awesome! Went in to just wash some dirties but walked out blown away. If you like painting, creating, costume-making, movie make-up, pottery, antiquing… And the dryers actually dried my clothes!
Special shout out to Charlie for all the local tips!!
Mani T.
Amazing place, full of history, great to do laundry.

Got my laundry done and had a chance to see alot of really great art work and I will be back next week.. Robert was very helpful and I loved the whole experience..

Only in New Orleans!!! What a good and uniquely fun laundromat. This location is under new management and they are making great changes. Don’t let the construction fool you; the machines are great. The jukebox adds a lot of fun to the space. You can get a coffee or cocktail to drink next door while you’re waiting or dance in the isles. Every day this location gets better & very LGBTQ+ inclusive.

This location was the recording studio of works famous jazz musicians before it was a laundromat. They also have separate studio that offers pottery classes. It's a great place for history as well as somewhere to pass time. Generous and friendly staff. Big guy, don't know his name

I am on vacation and happened to stumble this laundromat. I have never used machines like these, but the gentleman behind the counter helped me every step of the way. I will definitely be coming back when I come to New Orleans

Revamped historical building that serves as a laundry mat and local artists boutique shop. Definitely a place to visit, find local art, and book a tour to learn about the space.

Cool shop! Get some art and get your laundry done. Also was a recording studio back in the day. Great if you are traveling and need to wash something. We didn’t have any laundry but we spoke to Francis, He was awesome and super friendly!

Came here to do laundry as tourists. If you are in a similar spot, good place to go to.
Super sweet people working there.

Got my laundry done for like $10 including detergent. Have to operate a card system. Top card up for $7 -gets you use of a washing machine and then drier. Guy behind the counter there is a bit blunt, but extremely helpful. Helped me out. Have some art and stuff going on adjacent to the washing machines.

Totally love it here! Friendly staff and cool art and trinkets available for purchase. Some of the machines need to be replaced but Overall it’s a unique laundromat!

Great little kidney Laundry Mat paired with an antique and local artist store.
The place has a wonderful charm split between those looking for that unique piece of New Orleans and who just need an old style laundry mat. The owner was great to talk to and made some great recommendations for lunch. He even gave us a warning about the storm coming in which will unfortunately cut our trip short.
If you looking for that special place to see, shop, or wash your vacation laundry, this could be your stop!

Very good experience. It is cash only for self service. There is a card machine for laundry cards, so you don't need quarters. Machine accepts $1 and $5 bills, maybe 10s and 20s. The person at the desk can break a 20 if you only want $6 worth of laundry, $3.50 wash and $2.50 drier. Reasonably priced laundry. Cokes available from attendant.

I was so thankful with them being opened! It was very busy and the staff was fantastic! But, I knew that would be the last time going there I had 2.50 cents and I was going to leave it with staff and Imy mind was somewhere else for a second. This outta shape fat cow came next to me while I was drying my clothes talking about how blessed she was! My card was on the table way in the back it was just us back there. That piggy said two times that she's leaving her whatever on the table I was using and I had my back turned not minding her. I was looking for the card and it said look for me! As I was leaving she was looking stupid! I made eye contact with her and I just shook my head at her! Staff was busy and I just it go. She'll get hers!🐷🐷🐷

Culture, history, and laundry? It's all here.
I spent a week staying in CBD and found this place to do some laundry. It's convenient to the streetcar line and certainly adequate as a laundromat. But it's claim to fame is as the birthplace of Rock and Roll! It used to be the recording studio where Rock & Roll was born. The new owners have plans to add a museum and recording studio to the space. Definitely worth a visit if you have dirty laundry.
Also of note is that it's a few doors away from Tennessee Williams house.

Great old fashioned style laundry mat and very affordable prices. Staff was very respectful.

I was listening to the radio due to the electricity being out because of Hurricane Ida. The Lost Sock on Rampart Street was advertised as being open in the city of New Orleans. I was so happy to hear this great news that I immediately jumped into my car to find it. The Lost Sock is located across the street from Louis Armstrong Park, and inside the business is an Art Gallery.

This store is okay. They have another store in the heart of the French Quarter that has a lot more things than this store which you will love for their uniqueness and good pricing. I do give this store 5 stars for their friendly help! Ask them were their other store is and enjoy!
Julio A. Rivera Guzmán
The owner is a helpful and kind gentleman. While you wait you can read up on some history, the building used to be a recording studio back in the blues/rock&roll era.
Robert Bowling
Half of the shop is a Laundromat and the other half is an art gallery with local artists. It's an Amazing atmosphere. They even offer wash & fold service.

Cool little spot to get my laundry done during an extended work trip. Fast friendly but little pricey....

Nice place. Mixture between laundry and art gallery. While washing you can explore.
Very helpful owner for helping us tourists with the laundry
Jenn O'Quinn
Machines work well, in a couple months, we've lost over $20 in the machines. But the ppl are friendly, will always help with the machines, and the store side of it is always being updated with new items.
