We had a great experience purchasing a new diamond ring for my wife. We've been married for 28 years and I wanted a special Christmas gift for her this year. We worked with Jo...she was great...very knowledgeable & personable...she was able to find a beautiful stone of better quality and a lower price than another we were considering from a different jeweler...we had shopped a lot including on-line jewelers so we were fairly familiar with quality and pricing. I was really impressed by the price & selection of the certified diamonds...Jo was also very helpful and patient with my wife as she selected the perfect mount and band to compliment the ring. The rings were sized perfectly and ready as scheduled even during the busy days before Christmas. The rings look amazing.

The reviews are correct! If you intend on buying any type of jewelry I highly suggest you come here 1st. Although all the employees here are lovely, My husband and I absolutely love us some Ms. Jo! We looked state to state from DC to NY for the perfect ring to no avail. So by the time my husband and I made it here I was skeptical. Ms. Jo was so kind, patient and HONEST! Ms. Jo listened to what I wanted and helped me build my perfect ring. I picked my diamond and setting separately. She even helped my husband pick the most beautiful band. I could not find a ring i love. When i went to the store, Ali, the store manager helped me buy a ring. I returned it because I didn’t fall in love with it. They were very helping in helping me find a new ring i love. Lauren took over and oh i must tell you. She was the best. She was awesome. She looked through so many rings that matched what i wanted. She found one that i loved. I wanted the center stone changed to a pear shape. My ring was custom made and Ashkon, who was at corporate was so professional. He sent me pictures of the progress, he was patient with all the many changes i made. He kept updating me till the ring was done. The ring was made earlier than expected. Lauren educated me on the rings. She was such an Angel. I loved every aspect of it. She made it stress free for me. She called me so many times just to give me updates. We are from Baltimore, but we have no issue driving to Bethesda, because of the excellent customer service they provide. Every sales person treats their customers professionally, but go the extra mile for them as though they were family. The training was very elaborate. Frank saved the moment! We purchased my engagement ring from here 6 years ago. I was always happy with it and didn't feel it needed a wrap or band in addition to the ring itself. However, my husband wanted more bling on my finger. Not wanting to change my original ring, the hunt began for something that could be tailored to the unique shape of my band. I dealt with a new associate who was learning her job. She did okay. She was very pleasant and tried to get good advice and assistance from the senior sales associates. I had found a wrap online, pinned it, and showed them in the store. The senior associate actually asked me to look it up on the website to get the 3 digit number. I gave him a look to let him know I thought that was an unbelievable request of me, the customer, and asked him if he or the associate helping me could look up. The associate looked it up and wrote down all of the information, but no one could tell me if the wrap could be modified to fit around my band. In comes Frank, Shift Supervisor. He provided great assistance, gave me an honest answer, "no," and then came up with a great alternative solution, which didn't cost us a fortune. He consulted with the in-house goldsmith and gave me a great idea what it will look like when it is done in 2 days! I think that is great turnaround time for a unique piece.

I had my wife's wedding ring reset and she walked me through all the ideas and possibilities out there. She took special care of the Diamond since it was my Wife's Grandmothers Diamond. The ring turned out so nicely that I also went ahead and purchase a matching Anniversary Band to go with it. I always see their commercials on the television but now I know why they are rated #1, it is because of people like Ms. Jo and the customer service. I love the Jewelry Exchange in Bethesda! I was a lil iffy going in because the place really doesn't look like much on the inside or out. However, reluctantly I went to please my now husband. We looked and looked but I just didn't see anything within my price range or that made me want to go outside of my price range. The sales lady (I think Henrietta, Henry for short?) was very patient, she pulled diamond after diamond and band after band for me without ever showing agitation, I was really impressed. She kept reassuring me that no matter how many rings I asked to see, it was her pleasure to help me and that's exactly how I felt. After hours of looking, we put together the perfect, AND I MEAN PERFECT, ring for me. It lit up the whole room! Since it was way out of my price range I wasn't sure how we were going to pay for it, then she told me they offered layaway. Now, this was just a couple of months before the wedding, but we made it happen. I will never trade or get rid of my ring, I love it forever just like my husband. Also, I got it appraised just to see if what they said was true; that it will appraise for double and while it wasn't exactly double it was the closest it could get to the truth. I get compliments on my ring almost everyday without even trying. It literally glistens in the dark, I can see it out the corner of my eye, and while it has a distinct flaw it's still worth every penny, just like me! I'm very satisfied and I recommend them to everyone I know looking for rings. KUDOS to you JE!

I Ended up purchasing a Certified 1.5ct Princess Cut Solitaire for $2900, but it had a small flaw. (ring was resized the very same day), BTW. My Experience was Wonderful, Due to the Awesome service from Ali K. The lack of Sales Preasure, and The Great Prices. The Only downfall :: they will make sure to Not Disclose Any Faults in their product.......u have to get a loop and search.

After going to many "name brand" stores and the one that starts with J and ends in D...my husband and I went here. The staff is calm, very friendly and most importantly professional. Understanding they do NOT work on commission changes the whole perspective. I found a nice size diamond for a VERY good price. But to make sure I was getting the most bang for my buck, I kindly told the sales person I wanted to shop around. Her response was a very calm and friendly..."no problem, we stay open until 6;00 today and till 5:00 tomorrow. There was no...wait.....let me talk to my supervisor and see what can do for you...let me see if there is something else in stock....are you sure? It may not be here when you get back....So we left and I went back to that place that starts with J and ends with a D. I told the sales person what I wanted and what I could afford.....he heard me but didn't LISTEN. After 75 minutes of showing us rings we couldn't either afford or didn't want, my husband and I left, got something to eat and went back to JF. Would you believe the ring I wanted was actually sold???? Never mind that because we found something that prettier, BIGGER and only a few dollars more in perspective. I got a band that complimented the diamond and it was ready for pickup 3 1/2 hours later. Special thanks to Shevon and the Asst. Mgr Ali. The whole staff rocks!!!

My husband and I have visited this location multiple times within the past 4 years. He purchased my wedding ring from here, and we also have had it cleaned a couple times. My ring has held up for 4 years, no issues. I get compliments daily because it is so unique- I still haven't seen it anywhere. The other times we visited just to browse. Everytime we have visited, we have been greeted with a warm welcome, they remember our names and are knowledgable. This isn't the jewlery store in the mall, where you ask a question and they stare at you like a deer in the headlights. Very reasonable prices. Parking lot is a little tight at an awkward intersection but, it's the city, what do you expect. And yeah, it isn't well lit ... that's any jewlery store -for a reason.

I put a 5 star because this website won't publish your review without it. When you give a lower rating it get's pushed down to the bottom. I didn't want to rate this yet because I'm still waiting on my wife's ring. If I had to rate just the customer service it would be a 5 star. We worked directly with Lorraine. One of the store managers. She took her time and explained everything, showed us several options. After a day or two went back and made changes and she was just as nice as she was when we first walked through the doors. My wife and I designed her ring and I paid for it on 4/8/14. They didn't send it off to California until 4/14. they only ship on Monday's. The reason it's being sent to California is I insisted on have the diamond engraved. So we realized it will be a extra week. It's now 6/3. We called last week to see if it came in and nothing yet. We were told maybe 3 weeks 4 at the most. My wife is getting anxious. I will post again when we get the ring. I pray its everything we hope it will be. I dropped over 14K on this ring.

My husband asked me to marry him Christmas 2017. We had to wind up going back to the store after a month because he had chosen white gold for my engagement ring and after a month it started dulling. That is normal but evidently something in my skin caused the dulling to be excelerted. He allowed me to choose a whole new wedding set and I opted for 14kt gold with a heart diamond. The set was beautiful and he still chose white gold for his wedding band. We were married in Kona, Hawaii September 15, 2018 on the beach at sunset. It was beautiful.
