When my husband proposed, he utilized his great grandmother’s center Diamond from her engagement ring in my ring. A few years later, as an anniversary gift we upgraded my center diamond but still wanted to set his special family heirloom in something special so I could wear it every day. I looked all over for weeks for something that might work and something that would be appropriate to set the diamond in. I was told it wasn’t possible a few times and all the other options just seemed way out of our price range. Once I contacted Mikado Diamonds, that all changed! Most importantly, the level of customer service that Mike provides is above and beyond what I would ever expect. He followed through every step of the way, and even gave us a rendering of the setting options with the actual size diamond we had so we could see realistically what it would look like. His responses were so thoughtful and timely. When the ring arrived, our diamond was set perfectly in a gorgeous setting, and it was even more beautiful than I expected and I am so thankful to have found Mikado Diamonds 👏🏻

If the star scale was 1 - 100 I would still rate Mikado Diamonds higher then that. It all started with meeting Mike. I thought I knew what I was looking for and how to pick a diamond. I was close, but a few lessons from Mike and I saw a huge difference in what I thought looked good. In fact, I knew I was working with the right jeweler when he talked me out of the more expensive diamond I chose, based n the one he showed me pictures which turned out to be a better, less expensive stone, but looked 100% better than what I chose. Who does that? Mike does that. When it came to choosing a band and setting, I knew what I was looking for but couldn't find it. After explaining what I wanted, Mike came back with a few suggestions that weren't even on the web site, and all were spot on with what I was looking for. Ultimately I had to choose one but then I had a request; can we change the metal? He made all that happen for a price that was outstanding. But all that wasn't the best part, that came when the ring arrived two days before leaving for our vacation when I was going to propose and the ring was far better then the pictures and artist renderings. To put it mildly, the ring is stunning! I find myself staring at the ring on her hand. If you have questions about your diamond or ring choice, Mike at Mikado Diamonds is the person to turn to and trust. I highly recommend Mikado Diamonds and working with Mike. My fiance instantly liked what he'd brought for us to see, so when it was time to get a wedding band, we went back to Mike. Let me preface with this is the first google review I’ve ever done. Buying an engagement ring seemed like a daunting task. I’d been to many jewelers and felt like they didn’t listen and pushed their agenda on me. So I went online... bought one from Mike at Mikado. It came before Christmas and she loved it! It was beautiful. However, it needed to be resized (yes I ordered the size I was told) but I also wanted to upgrade the center stone. Mike was awesome! Patiently helped me through the process, giving me recommendations in my budget, looking up stone reports, and all the information I needed to make my OWN educated decision. Much appreciated. Update: It has been almost a year since we got our rings and Mike is still providing excellent customer service!!! My husband needed a bigger band last month and Mike exchanged it with no issues! Also, I lost one of my diamonds in my band and Mike had it fixed in less than 24 hours!! I was a little nervous about ordering a ring online without seeing it first. However, Mike was AMAZING! Great retailer!!! Here's my story. I purchased a 2 carat diamond engagement from Mikado Diamonds and it was a great deal. It was shipped immediately and I received it in just a couple days. I got the ring and proposed to my girlfriend with it. She loved it.... for a few days.... and then we decided to return it. I was nervous and wondered if I'd get my money back, but Mikado Diamonds was VERY EASY to communicate with and they told me exactly how to return it. They didn't ask any questions and made it very easy to return it. My money was refunded quickly. That says a lot about what a great retailer they are. I'll be looking at their diamonds for years to come because of how they handled my situation. They were truly a joy to work with.

Great, friendly and responsive customer service was given throughout the entire ring shopping process. The buying process was very smooth thanks to the interactive website with tons of pictures and video. While the ring was beautiful on the website, it was even better in person! I did have to send back for a resize due to my own sizing error but again, Mike took care of me and was very understanding and responsive to emails and phone calls. The resize was done in a very timely manner and shipped to back to me with very safe and sturdy packaging. Mike worked with me on a layaway plan that worked with my budget and I was able to give my fiance the ring of her dreams in Paris. I honestly could not be happier with Mike and Mikado. I wanted to propose to my now fiancé on Easter Sunday 2019. I had a very short turn around time and knew that when I ordered. I got ahold of Mike and the ring in all its glory was here the Saturday before Easter. My fiancé was elated with how beautiful the ring was as was I. Mike was probably getting sick and f all my emails but boy was was he friendly and accommodating.
