I got my carry permit in 2019 and every piece I’ve owned til now came from metro. The staff and service are awesome, I learn something new every time I go here. Always a great selection and you never know what you’re gonna find in here. Being in MN, you have a variety of options for stores, but there’s just something that sets metro apart from the rest in my opinion and I’m happy to call metro my gun home for sure.

I was in need of a bit of cash and I had decent property I owned and was willing to part with. This place made me feel at home from the moment I walked into the store, I was greeted and every customer I saw come in was greeted, even if the staff was busy. Great customer service. This was my first experience with pawning anything and it could not have been smoother. Everything was explained in detail and all of my questions were answered and as someone like myself, I had a lot of questions. I even called them after their store 'closed' (13 minutes after, don't make it a habit folks) and they answered my remaining questions over the phone. Again, the customer service cannot be beat here. I also quoted myself lower than they ended up giving me, I don't know prices of slightly used things...

I Love this place. I get expert advice and training with questions and answers. I told them I was just starting with firearms and they slowed down to help me understand better. They keep a good supply of all accessories I would need and how to use them. I feel safe and know they do everything professional and by the law. I would definitely recommend stopping in from time to time.

Great and ever changing collection of new and used handguns, rifles, and shotguns. The prices are very good (the best in the twin cities and I’ve been everywhere) and the guys who work there are super nice, laid back, helpful, and knowledgeable (which sadly, is rare at a lot of gun shops). Good customer service (the employees actually notice and acknowledge you when you walk in and say “hello”. Shocker right?!) They’ll work with you on prices/no interest payments. Check this place out, you won’t regret it. I’ll be a repeat customer.

Every single time I go in here it's a great experience! ALL the staff are friendly and knowledgeable. They never presume to know everything and when they come across something they don't know, they quick research it. I've purchased plenty of firearms from them and going back for more. My only complaint is when I ask them to NOT take my money, they always have cooler things to make me give it up.

Went in to just see what they had for handguns. They were extremely helpful and offered what I thought was excellent advice. I ended up leaving without buying but then came back a few days later and purchased. Their prices were some of the best I had seen and I felt their service was great. I would also offer this... don't be offended if they keep their eyes on you. It is an urban pawn and gun shop and they take security seriously. They even asked me to keep my hands out of my pockets and I totally understand. They will have my business for years to come.

I like this place I went in to look at the prices and asked about different types of long guns they where helpful and quick with assisting me. Ive only ever had one problem 5 years ago when I purchased my first gun from them and a guy asked me to pull my pants up his name was Dave coolest old man ever , I was sagging and I didn't argue, that same man helped me get my cc license and always treated me with respect and I'm sure I look like a guy that would stick a pawn shop up good store staff and guns I'll be back in my terminator voice for that terminator gun on the wall

First time I went to price/ check things out. I was very happy with the service that I received. All questions answered and I didn't feel as though I was invisible. Everyone that works here is wondeful. I came back again because of the service and purchased a Sig 229P with a couple boxes of ammo. I would highly recommend them based on them having the all around "customer service" idea down. From the time you walk in until you leave, you should have no issues. Selection of firearms is also very nice, anyone should be able to find what they are looking for with good price points.

Bought & sold several items here over the past couple years, staff has always been courteous and helpful. I've always gotten reasonable offers on items I've sold, and prices on items I've bought are on par with other shops in the twin cities. A lot of the firearms they carry are new, not used, and priced better than Bill's or some of the other large gun shops. While I can't comment on the experience of others, I've never witnessed any discriminatory/racist behavior by the staff, or rude behavior in general. I'll be doing business here again.

These guys are great, and will have my business for as long as I'm in the cities. I've had some less-than-great experiences at other gun shops in the area, but the guys at Metro are always cheerful, helpful, and knowledgeable. The first time I was there one they knew I couldn't purchase a handgun that day (was still waiting on the CCW permit to come in the mail), yet one of the staff still took probably 40min to show me all the guns in my price/size range and discuss the pros & cons of each (without steering me towards the most expensive). I have purchased two guns from them since then, and referred several friends.

Great selection of all types of firearms, good place to purchase. Selling used firearms to Metro, however is different. Just FYI, it seems their rule of thumb is to take any firearm, check what it's selling for online and offer half the lowest price seen online. If you simply want to get rid of a firearm and don't care much about what you'll be paid for it, great. Just know you'll be offered about half the current used retail value if you'd like to sell your firearms here. I understand about a businesses overhead, margins, etc. and don't expect Metro to pay full retail/top going price for a used firearm. It's the amount of the markdown that's important for the public to know before they spend their time going over there to try to sell.

Went in before my birthday and was helped well, went back in to purchase a rifle, it was busy but I accidentally gave the worker extra 50$ bill and he gave it back, some people would have kept it, I have been using this shop for almost 10 yrs, the owner JR, helped me and my ex when we had to move while finishing college. He would take the oddest things from me. He helped us alot, and I saw others he did favors for whilst in the shop, like a older lady who would pawn her ring, and everytime she would get emotional, so he said " how about I give you (blank) and we can skip you getting upset again huh" the woman smiled and said ok, so yeah gold, sliver, and firearms are universal here almost. But the service is way BETTER than anywhere I've been in the Twin cities area. I'll update after I get my rifle transferred to my person.

I don't understand why people keep trash talking them about their stance on people of color, I've been in there multiple times each time there were individuals of different races all being treated equally. They aren't racists, they work at a friggen gun shop, its all about how you present yourself when you come in with body language and how you speak to them. All very helpful, fair prices. (If you're going to complain about their prices I suggests going to Bills Gun Range and Gander Mountain, you'll shut up then.) I just moved to the Richfield area not too long ago and plan on making multiple purchases from them, and getting a few sent to their shop.

Sold some DVDs here recently. The gentleman who owns the store was polite and fair and gave me a good price for them. (Better than Cheapo, in fact.) The store sells a lot of firearms, too, so if you're not comfortable around weapons, you won't like it here. Also, if you can't handle the occasional bigoted anti-immigrant, anti-black, anti-Obama, or anti- whatever comment from CUSTOMERS you should avoid this place during its busy hours, as is sadly the case with most gun shops these days. I hasten to add that the owner didn't espouse or agree with any of the rancidly prejudicial statements of some of his more colorful customers. He also didn't contradict them, especially when one gentleman informed me loudly that the problem with this country is that "they let too many of the wrong kind of people in these days." I swear, walking in there was like taking a hike through Kentucky.

I went in simply to check out there firearms and talked to one of the employees briefly about a gun training course, since i did not have my CCW he kindly recommended a course with someone he knows personally and got me ten dollars off. Now i am just waiting for my CCW in the mail, thank you and will be purchasing from you guys soon.
