Very nice store and highly credible. I took some silver coins and a silver certificate dollar in to find out the value and/or sell. I ended up selling the coins. He gave me the best price he could on them. The silver certificate was indeed worth more than a dollar, but not much. He said he would buy it, but suggested I just keep it and gave me a plastic pouch to keep it in so it would not get damaged any further. It was obvious I knew nothing about the coins and silver certificate I had. He easily could have offered me anything and I wouldn't have known any different. I admire his honesty and integrity in business. This is what makes a business star-worthy. I highly recommend Cherokee Coins & Jewelry. Besides the coin selling experience, I browsed the store and found many beautiful coins and gold and silver jewelry pieces that were reasonably priced. I recommend stopping by to do a little gold or silver mining for yourself or a loved one. I am sure you will be very pleased with your purchase.

Their location is easy to see on Bardstown Road and they have parking on the side of the building. We will continue to visit them.

Good place overall. Nice selection of coins and supplies. Steve is a master in his craft, he is very knowledgeable. He will tell you straight if he wants to buy from you or not. As any business owner ;he would rather sell than buy. However, he buys plenty. He buys low and sells highest he can. I don't understand why that would confuse anybody. That is what businesses do the last I checked. Barry is a very good guy also. I wish he could open his own place also. Barry is also a coin/ numismatic expert.

A very nice coin shop on Bardstown road. They have lots to choose from. Lots of sports memorabilia, Kentucky Derby, pro and college sports. Very nice old paper currency, pocket watches and lots of collectible coins. Start your collection here, they have lots to choose from. The staff is friendly and very helpful.

These guys are great and very very knowledgeable about coins. My favorite place to go in Louisville. Much better than the numismatic exchange downtown. Ample parking in the rear. Support your local community and business's. ps Do not mention ebay, this will understandingly upset them. Ebay is a different arena, nothing is for certain, there are final value fees, no returns, etc. Simply ask them their best offer and negotiate a little without mentioning ebay....if you think you can get more on ebay, than take the risk and create an auction
