We are from St. Louis and had been dating for about 10 years when we decided to get engaged while in Denver. We were not interested in a "typical", mass-produced engagement ring. We wanted something unique to us. We thought of trying to find a local artist and as luck would have it, we found Sowilo. We stopped in to see Bonnie and discussed our interests. She assured us she could design and make something for us from the Herkimer diamond we picked from her offerings. Our expectations were exceeded. She designed this amazing wedding set, just from talking with and getting to know us during our visit with her. This picture does NOT do it justice. I have gotten so many compliments on my ring!

I brought a family heirloom to Bonnie and asked her to create a new piece from the stone. The piece was extremely meaningful to me, and I trusted Bonnie implicitly to create something beautiful from it. The stone was very fragile and required immense care to remove it from the ring and turn it into a pendant that would keep the integrity and preserve the stone. She did an amazing job. I cried when she showed me the final piece. She not only does professional, creative work, but she understands the emotion that sometimes comes with our most precious jewelry.

Bonnie is fantastic! About a year ago I told her I was looking for a specific style of turquoise squash blossom necklace for my wife and asked her to keep an eye out for one. She certainly did and eventually found a 50 year old, vintage, handmade, beautiful piece that was right at my price point (and probably worth twice that!). My wife better not be reading this because she'll be blown away when I surprise her with it. We started using her to repair and improve our favorite turquoise and heritage jewelry - and she performed that work at a MUCH higher quality and more reasonable price than any other place we tried in town. Lets just say she fixed other jeweler's mistakes. She is an artisan herself and has been around the block a time or two and knows how to help you avoid the pitfalls of the industry.
