I went to diamonds direct with my husband to upgrade my engagement ring setting for one that would provide more security for my diamond. I was assisted by Taryn who listened to my concerns and help me select the perfect setting. It was custom made and took about 2 1/2 weeks (it was early, yay!) Not the usual 4 that were required for this order, which was a nice surprise. Throughout the process, Taryn emailed me and kept me in the loop even remembering small details of our first conversation which was very thoughtful. Overall it was a great experience and I will be returning!

It was so important that she understood the meaning behind the original rings and helped me recreate not only a beautiful ring with the original stones but a new one as well with a one of a kind design. ZACH YOUNG is a FLAWLESS and BRILLIANT diamond expert…even more so than my amazing diamond that he helped us discover! Our experience was so amazing! He began with some education about diamonds. But what he taught us was so different and valuable! He followed up by asking a few questions, to better understand our priorities. He then brought us four options based on our answers, and we played a fun comparison game. When it was all said and done, we decided on a diamond that was much larger and more stunning than I ever thought I would own! He also mounted my original diamond in a necklace for me, so that we could keep the original stone that meant so much to my family. I recently bought a ring from Ellen at Diamonds Direct on Polaris, and I would like to share a little bit about the experience my fiancé and I had to help the next person who wants to buy a wedding ring but may not know where to start. Don't worry. I got you. My Fiancé and I went into this process with very little knowledge about engagements rings. Because of this, we were nervous going into it because I did not want to deal with pushy salespeople or deal with upselling. Good news, at Diamonds Direct this could not be farther from the truth. Overall, this was an amazing experience from start to finish. The first time my Fiancé and I went into the store it was, low-key, overwhelming. We did our research online, but there are levels to this. :-) We sat down, drank a glass of wine, and started talking with Ellen. Right out of the gate this experience felt very VIP'ish'. Strong start, right? Ellen was patient and answered every question that we had (and we had a lot). We got the feeling very quickly that this process is going to be very different than we anticipated, in a good way. Once she finished explaining the process and identified what we wanted, we started looking at the rings. Ellen asked thoughtful questions and showed us specific things that we would ask for, AND things that she thought we would like. If I were reading this, I would be concerned if this is the moment where she starts bringing out more expensive rings and trying to upsell us. Not the case. This is the part where we learned more about various types of rings, manufacturers, and the purpose behind why different rings are made the way they are. This is perfect because we want to know that we are making a smart decision and the right one. She is good at reading people. There were plenty of times when I wanted to speak with my fiancé, and she would immediately ask us if we wanted to chat alone for a moment to talk through our choices. At one point I asked her to "get out of my head". :-) In the end, it took 2 different visits and a lot of soul searching to make our final decision about which ring to go with. We went into this knowing very little about wedding rings. We walked out with the most amazing ring, and the confidence that there is no other ring in the world that we want, no other place to buy it, and no other person we would want to guide us through the process. Ellen, you are amazing, and we appreciate you!

The customer service at Diamonds Direct was GREAT! A friend suggested making an appointment. We walked in and were greeted and immediately asked if we wanted something to drink! In other places, we had to ask well into the appointment or weren't offered and waited even to be spoken to. From what we saw, the selection was the largest and the best in Columbus. We loved that there were diamond options across the country so we could find the perfect fit. I highly suggest making this the number 1 location on your list when shopping for engagement rings.

Unfortunately for me, I underestimated the time frame for delivery and was going to miss getting it before we left on the trip I would propose. Ryan at the Columbus store saved the day. Talked to him on the phone about my self-inflicted problem. He told me to hang tight for a little while and would call me back. In less than 30 minutes he called me back to tell me he located another diamond that matched the specifications I wanted as well as the setting. It arrived and was ready in plenty of time. Last year I went in to have my finger sized for my ring and met with the nicest woman who was incredibly down to earth and took the time to really educate me on all things diamonds and rings. My boyfriend and I went to Diamonds Direct after hearing an advertisement for them on 97.1 the Fan and we were starting to look for Engagement rings and wedding rings as he wanted to make sure that I picked out something that I really loved. We spent time with Heidi that day and I can tell you that she was the most informative representative we met with that day across the different stores that we went to. She was very knowledgeable and even though we had tried to do our homework beforehand about diamonds, she made a confusing topic seem much easier to understand. She took the time to listen to our budget and to find us a ring that fit into and maximized our budget across the board for my tastes. For example, she explained how the proper cut of a diamond can make a smaller carat diamond look bigger in size so that you save money and still have a beautiful ring. After we had found one that we really liked she did not pressure us into doing anything that day, she wrote us a quote of a price for the ring and matching band and when we told her we wanted to look around at other places just to do our homework about what else was out there she did not try to convince us otherwise. In fact, she actually encouraged us to go search around Columbus to any other place we wanted. She said she was confident we would find our way back to them and she was not wrong. What surprised me the most is going into some of the other prominent stores in the area, when we had told them we had been to Diamonds Direct, none of the other representatives even tried to explain to us why we should buy from them instead of Diamonds Direct, none of them had anything to say about why their product or experience was superior and this surprised me quite a bit! Needless to say, Heidi found us a beautiful diamond and a beautiful setting and got us set up with the engagement ring and wedding bands for him and myself all in one visit. Two months later and our rings still haven't arrived. They initially sent me a ring and it wasn't even the right shape! They missed our engagement AND our wedding. Incredibly frustrating, especially considering I'm stuck with the bill and making payments for two rings I still don't have. One star. UPDATE After posting this review I received a call from the store manager. He reduced the contracted price of the rings by a significant amount. We finally have the rings we ordered. We really appreciate their efforts to make things right and own what happened. Through it all Mary was fantastic and Nick the store manager was reasonable and helpful. It just stinks not having our rings for our engagement or wedding. Honestly I don't know if I would buy here again. Diamonds Direct has been nothing but wonderful. We bought our rings (engagement ring and two wedding bands) in January of 2019. They provide free cleanings and repairs. I’ve had two tiny diamonds replaced from the band that fell out, free of charge. When my fiancé lost weight before the wedding day, they also replaced his wedding band for free to the new correct size! On top of it all, we were able to buy our rings on a 60 month 0% APR, which meant we could easily afford exactly what we wanted. Can’t say enough about how great the service has been and very grateful we went here!

I am extremely happy that I looked elsewhere for the ring. As a side note, they do have some fantastic jewelry other than wedding related items. Their website does not do them any justice as to some of the unique and beautiful items that I saw in the store. When I picked up the ring, I was sure they didn’t resize the ring, it just didn’t fit my finger. Also the repair at “mall” jewelry store was very expensive. I took ring to diamonds direct and had them do the resizing. Diamonds Direct did an excellent job resizing and was half the cost of “mall” store. Diamonds Direct were amazing for my engagement ring shopping. I went to three other Jewelry stores before but Diamonds Direct was by far the best on both price and quality. Steve, the GM helped me get exactly what I wanted while also making sure it would fit within my budget. I wanted a marquise cut ring which is more difficult to find when compared to other styles. They had numerous options available, but I was able to customize my own ring entirely. Steve took the Marquise center diamond from one ring, the style of another ring that was for an oval diamond and created an entirely new 3rd ring. He went above and beyond to expedite this process as well. My timeline was very short as I wanted to pop the question in a week and a half on vacation. He was able to make my deadline while creating a fully customized ring which normally takes 4-5 weeks. I would strongly recommend Dimond’s Direct to anyone who is looking for a engagement ring/jewelry. The only thing I would have changed about my ring buying experience is I wish I would have started with Diamonds Direct instead of wasting my time with all the other jewelry stores.

My experience with my salesperson was worrisome. The name of the salesperson will be omitted unless upon request. The first visit seemed promising. I explained the custom ring I wanted. Everything from what color gold to the band was described. I felt like the salesperson wasn't really listening as the ring came back completely wrong. The wrong color gold was used and the band was the one I told her I didn't want. Dont get me wrong, the ring was beautiful, but it wasn't what I wanted. The second time the ring came back and it was correct. During the ringmaking processed I texted my salesperson the engraving I wanted on the inside. I still have our text conversation. She claims to have never had that conversation. This was never done. It was coming crunch time for me to propose and I was stressing. I talked to another salesperson and they sent the ring out immediately for engraving. I finally got the ring back the way I wanted it. It turned out incredible. I'm just upset that it took an extra three weeks because the ring was wrong when I thought I was perfectly clear about the details . I was never offered any course of compensation or anything for my trouble. I was planning on getting the wedding band done here too but now I'm having second thoughts. If I can post pictures of the wrong ring and the correct one, I will. This review may be edited depending on any follow up and course of action taken. Update: I received a phone call from a manager (Nick) with an apology and and conversation about my experience. He was outstanding in making sure that I was happy and to keep my business in the future. He made things right with me and has made a customer for life. Thank you.

Diamonds Direct blew my expectations out of the water. Me and my fiancé went to Jared and the Diamond Cellar to shop around prior to coming here, and you cannot beat their prices. I knew what I wanted when I walked in, and unlike the other two places, they do not try to change your mind. They will first teach you about diamonds (the 4 C’s) to understand what drives the prices up and what quality diamonds cost. I wanted an elongated radiant with E color and slightly included. They did not waste my time showing me other diamonds below that color range. Ellen was fabulous to work with. She came out with a gorgeous D color, SI radiant cut, however it was slightly out of our price range. My fiancé asked if she could kindly try and find something else in a smaller cut and when Ellen could not manage to do so, she brought her manager over and told us they could give a significant discount on the diamond I loved and wanted! In addition to quality service, they offer excellent financing. They have specials where you can get 5 year financing with no interest. This helped us out tremendously, since we are already trying to pay for our wedding ! They clean my ring every time I go in the store with no appointment and no waiting. They will clean any jewelry you own, even if it was not purchased there. I also purchased my bands from here and it was exactly the same experience. I will definitely be returning for more jewelry in the future. Also if you have small diamonds in your band and lose one, it is covered. They also provide jewelry cleaner with your diamonds free of charge for at home cleaning. This store gets an A+ from me!

It has a very large selection and they are willing to work with you to assist if you are looking for something in particular. Their claim of cutting out the middle man to offer lower prices is likely accurate as I compared them to a few other retailers and they were priced aggressively. We went there due to their ad on WNCI that spoke of their ability to do custom work. Upon arriving we had a 10 minute wait as they were extremely busy but offered a wide variety of drinks and anything else we could need while waiting. Then we met Heidi Andrews, not only was she welcoming but made us feel like we belonged and wanted to give only the best service she could. After speaking with her about my metal allergies, design and desires we arrived at a decision. Being all platinum and custom design we assumed a sky high price, however this was not the case at all. I believe we saved quite a bit of money compared to what it would have been elsewhere. We will be back for any jewelry needs, and of course hope Heidi will be there as well. But if not, rest assured they still have our business. I picked up the finished product a week later and honestly cried in the store it was so beautiful. It was an extremely formal/professional environment...but the people were AMAZING. We worked with Mary who was so fantastic I can’t even explain. She had so much experience and knowledge, and took so much time to educate us on diamonds and how other places sell you on things that don’t matter but cost more. She helped take what has been an overwhelming process other places and made it simple, and broke things down so we actually understood how to even shop for a diamond/ring. Ellen was amazing and she even took the rings outside to show us in “realistic” light. Meaning she said the lights in the showroom will make diamonds appear more flawed or color filled than the normal light so she took us outside the store with the rings to see what it would actually look like going about our days. I wanted to buy a new band now, but also desperately wanted to keep the band we married in. They gave me too much to consider lol I highly recommend this business! So we returned the new band that I did pay for, since he didn't want to wear two at a time, no hesitation, they refunded the price of the new band. He has his old wedding band back, just in the right size now. I went in for a last minute mother’s day present completely clueless as to what I was going to get. I knew I wanted a necklace but I was indecisive in my purchase. Steve was very knowledgeable about the products and really listened to what I wanted. He only recommended things he thought I would like based off the things I told him. He wasn’t trying to push me into a bigger sale for a bigger commission check. This place really is about customer service. I will definitely be buying all of my jewelry from them from now on.

I heard about Diamond Direct on 97.1 The Fan. I took my soon to be Fiancé now soon to be Wife in to get some idea's of what she liked. Ellen came out and greeted Us. Extremely knowledgeable! She has a passion for wanting to make the process magical, and she did! Did not buy anything that day, however I would return to the store a week or so later. So, after returning to the store I hit a couple of snags. We tried everything and unfortunately it wasn't looking like it was in the cards for me. After realizing that it was going to happen the way that I hoped I left the building feeling deflated. I was about a quarter of mile down the road and turned around heading back to the store. As I walked back into the store the Manager Steve approached me. Ellen was with another client. If you recall I stated earlier that she is passionate about helping those in love find happiness in the ring that they choose. She had already filled Steve in and even expressed to him that she was disappointed that she couldn't help. Steve was able to do they impossible! I left with the ring! I am so thankful! Between the two of them and the Hospitality of everyone in the building my experience was absolutely amazing. By the way...she said YES!
