CDI is my new go-to jewelry store in the area! After reading great reviews online, I knew I had to take my ring there to be resized. I was greeted with the most pleasant welcome and the staff talked me through the whole process of resizing my ring. They let me know the price, (which was very fair and reasonable) and they offered to clean the jewelry I was wearing while I was there (for free!)…. My ring was SPARKLING when they brought it back — I mean, seriously, I don’t think my ring has been this clean since my husband proposed! They associate said it would take about a week and a half to resize my ring, which seemed very standard, but I actually got a call within the week that my ring was ready to be picked up! The results are beautiful! The resizing was flawless and I can finally wear my ring again without worrying it’ll fall off. Although my ring wasn’t originally purchased from CDI, (it was a gift) they treated me like family, which was so warm and inviting. I will definitely be returning to purchase new jewelry, repair jewelry and have my current jewelry cleaned. CDI is a wonderful shop, right in the heart of Dublin. Highly recommend!!

CDI gets a 10/10 from me for pricing, customer service, a laid back buying experience, and for having the only ring I would consider wearing forever! We shopped around at at least 10 other places just to see what else was out there, but couldn't feel better about spending our money at this small, privately owned business. Jay was a straight shooter from the beginning - he's confident he has a good product and good products sell themselves. Apparently his gift is being able to pick out a ring for someone he's only known for 5 minutes; as it turns out the one he suggested was THE ONE for me. About a year later he knew exactly who I was when I came to get it cleaned, remembered the profession of both myself and my fiance, as well as the details about my ring buying experience with them. Jay makes you feel like more than a customer, but more like an old friend (with good taste in jewelry) who really wants the best for you and not just what's going to be the most profitable for him.

First off, this is two reviews in one. The first is for Matt and my experience buying an engagement ring. The second is a review for Ernie and my experience buying wedding bands. I want to start off by apologizing to Matt for the delay in this review. I visited CDI Diamonds back in mid 2018 because of the excellent reviews and that they would explain everything there is to know about diamonds while showing you on a microscope what a close of a different diamonds looks like. I had already done my homework, but I wanted to see what real life examples looked like. It was exactly what I needed and even though I didn't find the diamond I wanted here, I came back to buy the ring and so they could set the diamond. Matt gave me a great price and even guaranteed satisfaction on the four vs six prong setting. We ended up going with six, instead. The ring and diamond came out excellent and my fiance at the time fell in love with it and still loves it today! Matt is excellent and I would gladly come back to do business even if it is out of the way for me. Last, but not least, I also want to apologize to Ernie for the delay on this review as well. By now, which is late 2019, they have moved into their new location and the new building looks similar to the old one with upgrades. My fiance and I had more or less visited multiple places to get an idea of market price and figure out what we really wanted. We decided to go back to CDI because of how great everything went with the engagement ring. We weren't disappointed. Ernie helped us out and gave us a good deal for what we wanted and so we purchased our wedding bands here too. Many thanks to both Matt and Ernie for all of their help with everything they've done for us. We will be back and do business with them again.

Before this store, I felt like I wasn't being taken seriously because of my budget and no one really made time to help me. I needed a stronger chain for a necklace I purchased elsewhere, and he was extremely attentive and caring in making sure I not only got a chain that was as dainty and small as my previous one, but stronger and less likely to break. He also recommended a different length which fit me much more, and was very personable. They also deep cleaned my pendant for free, and were overall were fantastic in terms of price, customer service, and quality of product.

I haven’t been able to wear my original set in over 20 years due to lost stones, not fitting and a poor design. It is so nice having back on my finger. It's taken me a while to getting around to writing this, but I had such a great experience here I couldn't not share. This was, like many other people, my first time shopping for an engagement ring. I had already casually looked at the larger chains like Tiffany, etc., and the experience at these chains was exactly what I expected and dreaded. As soon as you walk in you're swarmed by sales people and drilled with questions. They do everything they can to get you to put down a deposit and you can immediately tell they do not have your best interests at heart. But, how can you blame them when their compensation is directly tied to commission? They had some nice rings in their stores, but I assumed I needed to do a lot more research on my own since I knew the information I was getting from these places was targeted to sell me and not educate me on what I should be looking for. I decided to try a local jeweler and settled on CDI based on the stellar reviews. We all know reviews can be bought or fake, so I didn't get my hopes up here either. I had my guard up walking in, and I was pleasantly surprised when they didn't jump from their seat as soon as the door opened. They greeted me, asked me what I was looking for, directed me to the place to look, and let me check things out for a bit. The communication was initiated first by me when I had some questions. I dealt directly with Matt and he was wonderful to work with. He was full of knowledge and expertise and I never once felt like he was trying to sell me on something just to get a sale. The great thing about CDI is you can buy "loose" diamonds and have them set whichever setting you like. This allows you to choose the perfect cut and size and then take that specific diamond and put it in a setting to your specifications. I was looking for something very specific that Matt didn't have in store (he had a ton of options but I was dead set on a specific size and clarity (internally flawless). Matt was glad to acquire a few diamonds that fit my criteria and have them brought into the store the next week. When I went in the next week we examined each of the diamonds under an electronic microscope and looked at each grading certificate. One of them checked all of the boxes and looked absolutely perfect. He even let me walk out of the store with it (by myself!) to see what it looked like in the sun. I couldn't have been more pleased with the experience and I was truly shocked that you could buy an engagement ring without having to fight off hungry sales people and misleading information. If you're looking for a place to buy an engagement ring or any other type of high-end jewelry, at least walk in and check it out and I can guarantee you will be able to confirm everything I said in this email is true. Had them repair wedding ring that hadn't had attention in YEARS! Showed me what he thought needed done, gave me a couple options and told me when it would be done. Ring was a channel set, so not just anyone can work on those, and was important to me that I meet who would be working on it and know that they knew what they were doing. They had it ready when they told me it would be done (2 weeks), and it looked like the day I got it (37 years ago). Price was I thought very reasonable given how much needed to be done. They also have a nice selection of other items (I had to look!) with a good quality/price value compared to some of the bigger stores. Would definitely recommend and will be a repeat customer!!

AMAZING PLACE WITH AMAZING PEOPLE WORKING!!! My engagement ring was my late grandmothers, and this past June I took it there and they reinforced the prongs that hold the diamond and restored the band. These amazing people made my ring look BRAND NEW!! Recently, I bent the band while wearing it, so I decided to take it to a jeweler that was closer to me (will NEVER do that again). That jeweler gave me the ring back more bent than before and the diamond/prongs were off center. I have always worn gold but decided it was time for a change. I decided I wanted to change my setting to platinum. I went to CDI based on a friends recommendation. The biggest draw for me was their willingness to allow the business to succeed based solely on reviews and word of mouth, without advertisements or flash sales. If they aren't honest, and they don't have great quality or value, they don't stay in business. That simple strategy speaks volumes. From the very beginning, there was not any attempt to upsell any of their products. Matt listened and only showed me rings that were within my budget and style preferences. It was a very relaxed environment. He cut straight to the specifications and qualities of each ring without the gimmicky feel of a lot of jewelers. I ended up purchasing a loose certified diamond separate from the setting. After looking at multiple diamonds at different jewelers, I knew right away that the diamond offered at CDI was a MUCH better value. Matt let me check the diamond under the microscope and it was apparent that CDI was offering much higher quality diamonds for lower prices compared to other local shops. The store's philosophy is that you shouldn't be afraid to shop around and check out all your options. CDI is the BEST place to purchase jewelry in Columbus! The process was easy, no pressure, honest and helpful staff. Ellen truly does amazing work. I emailed her a picture of what I wanted, then she had a few stones brought in so I could see them in person. With her help, I ended up going with a different style than I originally thought, but I am totally in love with it. She went above and beyond to help us; even staying after normal store hours so I could finish up the process and make my final decision. CDI beat any other price in town for diamonds, and even gave me a better price on my trade in. After 8 years, I finally decided that I am ready for a diamond ring. After looking around in chain jewelry shops, my husband and I decided to check out CDI diamonds based on their high Google reviews. I wanted a simple yet unique ring. Entire staff at CDI were very nice and asked for what I wanted. They did not push for an expensive ring. They found me an uncertified diamond of superior quality compared to what we saw in chain jewelers for a comparable price. They also got me a custom mounting head that I wanted. The customized ring along with our wedding bands that we had rhodium plated were ready in 5 days. The chain jewelry shops were willing to give discounts and free rhodium plating for our wedding bands, but I believe they do so because of their high markups. Even though we did not get any discounts at CDI, I think we got good quality and value for the money spent. I will recommend to check CDI before making a decision as they will be able to find a ring for any budget and preference. Just tell them what you are looking for and they will be able to find it for you at a competitive price. They also provide free insurance for the first year. We are very happy with the rings!

I received my grandmothers 60+ year old original wedding set as a gift to wear as my own wedding ring. It was a beautiful double band diamond & platinum setting. She chose to reset it in a 14k yellow gold raised setting sometime in the 80's making it a style that didn't fit my own. I went to a few jewelers here in Columbus to find out if I could restore the ring to its original glory. I was met with high prices and jewelers that wanted to rebuild the ring for thousands of dollars and lengthy time frames! A chain jeweler discovered that my grandmother's ring needed some repairs and quoted me an outrageous price. I then brought the ring to three independent jewelers to get estimates of what work needed to be done and the price for doing so. Matt at CDI examined the ring and suggested what needed to be done-- naturally, much less extensive repairs than what the chain jeweler had identified as "necessary." Matt's estimate of the required work was consistent with the other independent jewelers, and the price he quoted me was better. The repairs were completed as promised and on schedule, and the ring looks great. The total cost for the repairs (according to the jeweler who performed them) was slightly higher than what Matt had quoted me, but Matt charged me the lower, quoted price, which I found very impressive. All in all, CDI strikes me as a trustworthy, pleasant place to do business. I will be happy to return.

Making any major purchase can be stressful. Making the major purchase of an engagement ring is even more so. The question, "will she love it?", being silently repeated as you look over ring after ring at store after store. Most guys, myself included, have no clue what we are doing when it comes to this area. Sure, we have maybe talked with our significant other about what they like...or do not like. We may have even went "looking" with them...but it hard to know for sure, "will she love it?"...without, of course, her picking the ring out herself (and how unromantic is that?). You have to trust the person selling you the ring. You have to rely on their expertise and know that they, hopefully, can take what pieces of information you can provide and turn that into a beautiful engagement ring that will exemplify what is in your heart. You also, hopefully, can trust that the seller is not simply trying to fit you into a ring just to make a larger sale. When I began the process of searching for a ring...I looked at probably dozens of places around town, CDI included. Of all of those places, I chose only one to visit a second time, CDI. Why? When my girlfriend (now fiancee) initially went in, Matt (owner), probably spent over an hour with us. We never felt pressured and walked away from the experience truly impressed with not just his sales approach but his knowledge of diamonds/settings/etc. He, literally, answered probably 30 plus questions. Of course, he had no way of knowing if I would return to make a purchase. That did not matter. All that mattered is that he could help us out. I came away from the experience more knowledgeable about the process and diamonds themselves. When I returned a few months later, it was so easy. I told Matt what I was looking for and my price range. He suggested great diamonds/settings and kept me within my price range. I had seen comparable diamonds around town for more. The best compliment I can give a business is that I would shop there again, without reservation and encourage others to do the same. Shopping at CDI was a truly wonderful experience and I could not be more pleased. The experience felt like I was buying a ring from a friend...who just happens to be in the jewelry business. I reached out to Matt, who first gauged my understanding of diamonds. After he figured out where I stood, he helped fill in all the missing pieces of info I didn’t know myself. I had already gone to about 20 different jewelers at this point so I was pretty far along, but his understanding of the process and ability to relay info would work for any beginner, novice, or expert on the matter. I let him know exactly what I was looking for, and he brought in multiple options for me (from outside his own shop). I drove from hours away to come and see all of the options. He emphasized that it was my choice and that I had to be happy with the decision once I left. Once he coupled it with the settings, we found the right one in no time. This place is worth the drive, and I somehow received superior service while paying less. She hasn’t stopped smiling since, as random strangers stop her to compliment the ring. Thank you again!

I took a ring I had purchased from CDI 18 months prior. My girlfriend was trying to catch an elevator by blocking the door, bad Idea. The ring was smashed and partially broken, the diamond was barely intact. Upon returning to CDI I met Earnie. He took great care of my issues with the ring. They have a great SELECTION of diamonds and other jewelry, they do a fabulous job on repairs or custom work, they have fabulous customer service and they are very reasonable in their costs. Matt helped me to pick out the perfect gist and was great at helping me to stay within my budget. CDI was by far the best Jewelry store I went too in Central Ohio. I went into CDI just shopping as I had already gone to other stores that are highly rated on Angies list. I told Elle what the price range that I wanted to spend and what I wanted in the 4 C's. Elle was able to help with how I could sacrifice in some areas inorder to get higher quality in other areas. The best part of CDI was the price, when I got home I put in the specs of the two diamonds I was shown. I saw I able to get a certified diamond cheaper at CDI than on the on line Jewelry Stores . After we decided on the diamond I began looking at settings.... we looked at probable 30 settings and I did not see the one that was right for my Girlfriend. I then saw a diamond in the closeout section of the. I asked to see it and it was amazing.... it had more sparkle than the other rings. the ring turned out to be part of there Caro 74 collection. Elle then brought out the rest of the rings they had from this maker and I was amazed. These rings are made with diamonds with 74 facets, which is substantially more than a normal diamond. Elle then helped me pick out the Caro ring that was perfect and we had my ring order and then sent to the jeweler. I ended up spending a little more than I had hoped too but the ring I got was so much better than I had ever hoped. When it came time to pay for it I had to put a little down and then was able to use there financing from GE Capital Bank. the financing is 6 months same as cash. I will definitely be back for my wedding bands!!!

I recently took a class ring to CDI to get it re-sized (up about a size-and-a-half). I had been there before to get a gift for my wife and chose them b/c of the high Google reviews. I was pleased with their service then, so I came back to CDI for the re-sizing of my ring. B/c the ring had to be sized up, I was obligated to pay for additional gold. When I got the ring back, after about a week, I was disappointed to see that, in the process, they had buffed out my last name, which was engraved on the inside of the band. I had alerted them to the engraving at the time I dropped off the ring. In addition, the ring felt slightly big. When I pointed out the problems, they offered to re-size my ring and re-engrave it at "no charge." I thought they meant "no additional charge"; after all, they had to add material, regardless of the engraving snafu. When I went in to pick up and pay for the service, however, they told me they felt bad for what had happened and clarified that "no charge" meant "no charge at all"! So although I was initially disappointed, their commitment to "make things right" more than made up for any error. I would definitely recommend CDI Diamonds & Jewelry.

This place is FANTASTIC! My fiancé went there for my engagement ring on the recommendation by a co-worker. He was thrilled by the service and sincerity of Matt III. I took my ring back to have it sized, meeting Matt III for the first time myself. I was impressed by how easy going and knowledgeable he was. Fast forward a couple of months and my fiancé and I went back to look for bands. Showed Matt III a ring I inherited from my great aunt that I wanted to have cleaned, but was worried about it “disappearing” at some jewelers. (Ps trust issues aside, this ring is a gorgeous reminder of my childhood that means the world to me so I was super nervous about leaving it with someone.) Matt totally understood that, showed me my ring on some magnification contraption they have and allowed me to take a picture of it blown up so I would have a clear picture of it and would have proof it was my diamond. He showed me how the prongs were worn down and cautioned me about wearing it because I could lose the stone. After talking with him a little more, I felt like I could trust him and so, for the first time in 5 years, I left my most prized family heirloom in the hands of a stranger to have it sized and the prongs redone. I was at the store for about 45 min that day and never once, NEVER ONCE did I feel rushed, like he was disinterested, like I was wasting his time. A week later I picked up my ring and it was gorgeous. Sized, repronged (not sure if that’s what it’s called) and he dipped it in Rhodium because I don’t like gold and it was a way I could enjoy it AND not change the integrity of the ring. If I can find pictures, I’ll post them but in the meantime, just know it turned out to be EXACTLY what I wanted. I was THRILLED! A couple of months later, I returned with a bunch more of my great aunt’s jewelry and for almost 2 hours Matt and his dad went through it all, separating the “good stuff” and the “costume” stuff. They were patient and wonderful and we had a blast. If you are looking for a jeweler, stop looking and check this place out. It’s family owned. They don’t advertise, it’s all by word of mouth and it’s just the best place!

I wasn't a huge believer in luck until a few brief minutes after walking into CDI. It was getting around that time for me to start to take steps towards puttin' a shiny rock on the ole' lady, so I did some research on some local jewelers to hopefully find one that seemed worth a trip. I was not very impressed with reviews on almost every single one, and was starting to get frustrated. This past Saturday, me and my girl went to Value City Furniture and while we were in the parking lot we noticed CDI. We had never heard of them before and I looked them up on google and BAM, 4.9 stars out of 50 something reviews. Thats gotta mean SOMETHING right?! Once we left VCF, we figured, what the heck, lets give it a shot, so we stopped in. Man oh man were we happy we did. Keep in mind, this is my first time ever walking into a jeweler and shopping for an engagement ring,etc, so my expectations were based on the impression I had gotten from walking past some in the mall, friends,online reviews, commercials, etc. I picture people in nice suits that are full of themselves and are out to upsell you on everything that you place your eyes on, not even really focused on your budget, or YOU personally, etc. Just out to cut a sale. And heaven forbid your budget be less than $2000, then you just feel looked down on, and considered "cheap" and what not. Well, maybe that IS most jewellers. Maybe its not. Like I said, I was NOT the one to ask. Let me tell you this though...What I DO know, is that if every jeweler is like Matt and Alex at CDI, then all is well with the world. The experience me and my girl had in CDI, could not have been any better. It didnt take long after we walked in for me to realize that this was the place I was going to buy her engagement ring from. Matt and Alex truly set the bar by exercising the perfect mixture of professionalism and personable character. He made sure to educate us on everything we needed to know to make the right choice for US. Not for HIS wallet. Never once did we ever feel pressured, rushed, talked down upon, judged for our budget,etc. I think my girl actually started to get a little annoyed because me and the guys could not stop chatting it up! I felt like I had known the guys for years! Just when you think it cant get any better.....Their prices are absolutely absurd too! I wont go into detail, but what I will say is that the price I am getting my girls engagement ring at is an absolute steal. No comparison. I did research and no one else even comes close to the same price. I actually did some price comparing with another jeweler in the area and he said his company would be PURCHASING the diamond I am getting for more than what I am paying for. Meaning that he would have to sell it for much more to even get profit, making the price I am getting it at, an absolute steal. I was blown away. I won't write a novel or anything....ok maybe I already have. I am not one to write positive reviews unless the company/product has earned it, and I would feel bad not recommending it to others. CDI is THAT company. If you want the hands down, best experience with a jeweler you could ask for, look no further than CDI. I will be doing all of my business there, and I recommend that you do too! Ironically it was the first place we walked into, and I can assure you, it will be the last.
