Dems has to be your place to go for your engagement/wedding jewelry needs! When I went to Dems the first time to talk about my engagement plans, I was very nervous. But when I got to meet Suzy and discussed everything, she instantly made me at ease. I felt as if Suzy was very trustworthy and empathetic and I’m very glad we got our engagement ring from Dems. Bonus: the ring was absolutely stunning!

Over the past couple of months I have been privileged to work with Suzy at Dems on a meaningful project that affected our entire family after the death of the matriarch of our family! She left behind an akoya pearl necklace of the finest quality, a bracelet, and earrings totaling 103 amazing perfect pearls which had actually been purchased at Dems years before. These pearls were to be divided among her 4 granddaughters and made into whatever pieces were decided upon. I can truly say that my sister-in- law and I knew they had to be very special, and thankfully we had come to the right place and Suzy had wonderful and amazing ideas that their jewelers were able to create with care, love, and perfection! Bracelets and earrings were decided upon and finished leaving some extra pearls which Suzy suggested we use to make add-a-pearl necklaces for the 3 grandsons to give to their spouses someday that were strung on gorgeous 14k gold necklaces. They were beautiful! At a recent family beach trip with all 25 of us there, these exquisite and meaningful gifts were presented to the granddaughters and grandsons. There were lots of tears of joy and memories…and we will never forget how much Suzy and Dems did to make that incredibly special moment happen!

First Jewelry store where my wife and I felt a warm welcome when we walked in the door. Several staff members greeted us (even while working with others). We had been to a few other places and were not even acknowledged. Dems was able to handle a complicated stone re-set, quoted us on another ring repair, cleaned several pieces and helped my wife pick out another ring as an anniversary gift. The staff was super helpful and even fit the repair in that very day. Super friendly service, great prices, quality work and now we are customers for life. We will be back!

Dems has been in my family for all my life. My parent's have been Dems customers as long as I can remember, and when my husband went to pick out my engagement ring, he knew to go to Dems. That was twenty-eight years ago, and even though we now live out-of-state, we make the trip to Dems to have any custom work done. I don't trust anyone else. The staff is incredibly patient and accommodating, and we are so happy with the pieces they have created for us.

Amazing experience! I took my daughters to have their ears pierced here and Suzy was awesome! She made my daughters so comfortable and she took her time selecting the placement of the earrings and wanted my approval too. She was very friendly and helpful, it helped to put my girls at ease. The store is very nice and we knew this was so much better than some other mall stores that do piercings. They also had a great jewelry selection and were kind and accommodating when we browsed some other items. This review is LONG overdue but Dem’s Jeweler’s is hands down one of Columbia’s TOP jewelry stores and an AMAZING business !!! I stopped in earlier because of an issue I was having with a ring and was so impressed by how gracious and helpful the staff were. I also brought in a Tag Heuer watch for a battery change and Connie''s outstanding customer service surpassed my expectations. She even noticed an additional issue and took the time to resolve it. Dems is a local, family-owned business and the staff take time to collaborate with customers to find that "just right" piece, versus the annoying, high-pressure sales tactics that ALWAYS send me running from other jewelry stores. Kay Jewelers has apparently stopped selling pins, and even then I was charged $20/pin. Which lead me to to Dems. Went into Dems and was instantly greeted by Carol. Who found me a watch pin which fit perfectly, I was not charged for the pin either. Highly recommended, great service!

Went here to inquire about getting my glasses fixed (minor welding job). Was quoted an extremely reasonable price and time frame for completion of the repair. Staff was very friendly and knowledgeable both on the phone and in person. I did not peruse their wares much, but what I did look at seemed very high quality and neatly presented. I can see why this place has been around so long, as their service is outstanding and their selection is vast.

I bought my first Tissot watch at Dems Fine Jewelers in Irmo about eight years ago, and willingly paid a little more to buy my watch there instead of buying one on line. I was a previous customer, and the store’s staff had always repaired jewelry, adjusted watch bands, etc., for my family. So, I figured Dems had earned my business. Recently, I found out why buying my watch from Dems was a good decision. I recently took my old Tissot to Dems to see if they could remove a gouge and deep scratches on my watch’s Stainless Steel case that spoiled the appearance of an otherwise great-looking timepiece. When I stopped by the store to pick up my Tissot the following day — yes, one day later — I was surprised to find that my old watch looked practically new! Somehow, they had successfully polished away the gouge and deep scratches. They also made a few other adjustments, replaced the battery and only charged for replacing the battery! You just can’t beat the personable and professional people who work at Dems and the obvious interest that the store’s management has in winning and keeping customers, big and small. My Tissot watch is the best watch I’ve ever owned, and it’s irreplaceable due to its sentimental value.
