Great shop for watches. I worked with Sam and he was a class act, really nice guy and made the transaction super easy and smooth. I pretty much knew exactly which model I wanted so was in and out quick, but if you’re unsure SC&L has a terrific selection and there are plenty of new and pre-owned pieces that any watch lover will drool over.

I picked up a lovely new Omega Seamaster Aqua Terra with a Blue Dial from Samuel at Shreve, Crump & Low and I cannot recommend the experience enough. This was my first time buying a watch of this quality and Samuel made sure to go through and showcase the craftsmanship and quality of the piece, answering any questions I had with an extremely apparent expertise and in a jovial manner. It was easy to tell he truly loves the watches in his care, more than happy to show and explain the other watches in the store's collection with me at different points while my new purchase was getting sized. The inhouse watchmaker was not in when I went (a Monday) but Samuel cared enough that I left with the watch sized properly that he immediately reached out among his highly qualified watchmaker contacts. He must be doing something right because not less than ten minutes later I was greeted by his other colleague watchmaker who was happy to help with my situation. He definitely understood the impact of the whole experience and did just an absolutely phenomenal job fitting it to my wrist and then also making the adjustments deftly and without issue. Thanks Brian! I was in awe with the watch before coming in, and yet left even more pleased than I could have expected. Samuel, along with Shreve, Crump & Low, will be my first contacts going forward with any watch purchase! Highly recommended!

I’ve been a bit of a regular at shreve crump and low for a while now, stopping by whenever I’m in the neighborhood. Overall my experiences at the store have been top notch and it is always a great time coming in a trying on cool pieces. Tai is who I’ve mostly worked with and he is absolutely amazing to work with. He is truly passionate about watches and is always super enthusiastic when showing off some of the new pieces in the store. I’ve never once felt pressured to make a purchase and going into the store always feels more like I’m going to see a friend than a salesman. Today I picked up my first submariner and Tai once again made the purchasing experience extremely easy and enjoyable. This place is an absolute must see if you’re in the Boston area and into watches. TLDR: amazing selection, great staff, 10/10 recommended.

This store is absolutely fantastic! They carry a wide variety of watch brands and more importantly, people are extremely nice. I visited them twice on this Monday. Each time I stepped onto the second floor, I was warmly greeted and never felt pushed to make a purchase. I think this is what people should expect when it comes to buying a luxury watch, or actually everything in general, and they did it very well. Furthermore, I was kindly helped by Brian and successfully bought the new IWC pilot chronograph from him. I agree with many other reviewers here for Brian, he is certainly knowledgable and professional. After talking with him for just several minutes in the morning, I could already tell he is a reliable person who would take care of me. Overall, he patiently guided me through some new pieces form this brand and tried his best to meet my expectations. I never felt rushed or pressured during our conversations, and I would never thought it to be that smooth to buy my first watch. I believe this is a great start of our long-term relationship, I see myself buying more watches from him in the future. Meanwhile, I highly recommend everyone to visit this store and meet with Brian if you were planning to own a new timepiece. This is the greatest place to go in this area!

Have worked with Brian Walker multiple times over the years. An engagement ring for my wife, our wedding bands, a whopping diamond ring for my mother, and so much more. He’s helped my friends and I navigate the oft confusing world of jewelry and made sure we got good deals; qualities not found from many in this industry. The store’s collection of watches is nothing to scoff at either, and neither is the third floor which holds some truly delightful items. All staff members are polite and extremely helpful! I was searching for an antique old mine cut diamond, which can be very hard to come by in person with certain specs. Susan was amazing in helping me with my search. Other jewelers either didn’t have any options or would have only one to look at. Susan was able to track down 3 different options for me with my desired specs within my budget!! Not only was she able to provide me with a great variety to view, but her energy was amazing! Diamond shopping for an engagement ring can be quite stressful but she made the experience everything it should be! I found other jewelers to be a little cold and ‘take it or leave it’ due to old mines being rare, but Susan was so kind and knowledgeable. I would recommend her to anyone searching for that special piece!

good store, a bit expensive..nice overall..and surprised they do not have more items for clocks...for example the one listed the Patek .. an example is at European Watch on the same street, not for sale but an amazing reference point on fine Swiss watches. the store was nice and the staff super keen.

This is my first time leaving a review. Had an excellent experience here. Everyone was very nice and polite from the guy at the entrance to the Omega gentlemen who greeted us and to, most importantly, Susan who I worked with during the purchase of a very nice piece of Zenith watch. I first had a phone call with her, during which she described details of the watch with patience. She is very friendly and professional, and she leaves you space to think and make decision. After that I decided to come in and got the watch in the same day. Huge shout out to Susan. During waiting for my watch to be ready I noticed all the other customers were also well treated. Other staffs are just as nice —- they don’t treat customers differently based on their appearance (the salesperson from the last watch dealer I went to started “scanning” us as soon as we came in), and they offer hospitality while not making you feel compelled to make any purchase. The atmosphere here is very relaxed. The watches being sold here have been taken good care of and are in perfect condition. The store itself is shiny, exquisite with its own grace of history. I would definitely recommend to others and make it my first go-to place for timepieces.

I worked with Louis a while back to purchase an Omega watch, and had an excellent experience on all counts. I was treated extremely warmly throughout the process, and when it turned out the watch I received had a fault out of the box and required service, they replaced it for me with no questions asked. I also asked the staff if they could order an Omega strap component for me, and they were able to do so promptly and at an extremely reasonable price. I highly recommend this shop and would buy from them again without reservation.

I visited this store last weekend to check out Omega watches. I was greeted by Brian Walker at the watch section of the store. He is extremely knowledgeable on watches and had a lot of patience in answering all of my questions and showing me different watches to try on. I found the watch I really wanted and he gave me enough time to decide without putting any pressure or rushing me even if they had to keep the store open beyond closing hours which was really nice of them. Before the year-end holidays, I wanted to buy a new Omega watch, just released. I contacted Shreve, Crump & Low, and they very promptly arranged to special order it from Omega USA, because this new model had not yet reached the stores. The watch arrived and I was promptly notified. When I went to the shop to pick it up I was greeted warmly, and the formalities were done quickly and professionally. Since this was my first time in the shop, I also took the time to look at all the show cases and was impressed by the wide range of really fine watches on display. This week I went into Shreve, Crump & Low to purchase a Blancpain Bathyscaphe watch that I'd been admiring for some time. I've really loved the Bathyscaphe since it was introduced into the Fifty Fathoms line in 2013 and when I finally decided to buy one, I purchased the Quantième Complet Phases de Lune version after being shown just about every Bathyscaphe model in the collection by Sam Grosso. Of note, Sam was an absolutely terrific sales associate from the first time he offered me his assistance, until this very day after delivery of my watch. He was attentive, really knowledgeable about the Blancpain line, and his attention to detail for the entire process was exceptional, and worthy of a 5 star rating. I'd highly recommend you see Sam when you go to the watch boutique at SC&L. I bought my wife's diamond engagement ring at SC&L many decades ago in the old building. Since they didn't have online rating systems back then, I'd like to say they have not changed after all these years. While I'm sure it's possible to buy a watch in many places in Boston, Shreve, Crump and Low is just the place in Boston if you want to buy a really fine timepeace, especially if it is with the assistance of Sam Grosso.

Today, I bought a beautiful Omega Planet Ocean 600M Chronograph from Angelika at Shreve's. It was a very positive experience. The store has a huge selection of luxury brands watches on it's second floor with hundreds of fine watches on display. I especially liked their selection of Omega watches and appreciated the many options I had. The staff their was very friendly but my salesperson, Angelika, was superb. She's very patient and helpful and places no pressure on your decision. She obviously loves her job and I enjoyed her enthusiasm. It made for a most pleasant transaction.

Came in last week to purchase a rose gold Panerai Luminor Marina 1950.. Mike Shaw was sure to show me all other options before moving forward. He rolled out the red carpet, showing me some of their rarer pieces, and introducing me to other members of the team. Walked out with what I came for at a very competitive price. I went into Shreve, Crump & Low on Newbury St. to purchase a Breitling watch. I had already been to several jewelers with no luck. I was assisted by Sam Grosso and was able to order the watch I wanted, and an extra leather band as well. The price was great. I received the watch in a few days and it was sized in-house while I waited. This is a great place to purchase high end jewelry and Sam is the man!

I've purchased both a watch and engagement ring from here and my experience with both was awesome. The staff here are extremely knowledgeable, pleasant, and fair. The engagement ring work was incredible, I worked with Brian Walker and he was able to help me pick a diamond, mock up a custom setting, work on a shorter deadline (4 weeks!), and stayed in constant contact with me the entire time. The ring is perfect, and my now fiancé loves it! I would highly recommend using Shreve and working with Brian, and I'll definitely be going back (for more watches).

Many years ago, I bought an "add-a-pearl" necklace from Shreve, Crump & Low for my daughter. Each year, I return the necklace to this store and they restring the pearls, adding a new one for each of her birthdays. This is a tradition started by my mother, for my sister and me, more than 40 years ago. I am so happy to be able to continue this special birthday gift for my own daughter. The staff, including Sasha R., have been incredibly friendly and helpful, and always take great care of this special necklace, even wrapping it so beautifully so it's ready to give as a gift. I highly recommend this store, and suggest looking into their add-a-pearl program for your own children!

Amazing experience at the Newbury location. I’ve gone twice to get my items repaired - one watch and one bracelet. Caroline was super friendly and knowledgeable about the repairs I needed. I brought one piece in to get repaired and the estimated return time was 4 days later. I told Caroline it was for a birthday and needed urgent fixes and she was awesome enough to get it repaired and returned to me 2 days later! Really appreciated the service there. I recently was looking for a particular watch for a gift for my husband, and found out that Shreve, Crump & Low carries the brand. I knew the store has a long history and a great reputation, but sometimes the service at jewelry stores in the city is just not pleasant, so I wasn't sure what to expect. I have to say the service was exceptional and my experience was very enjoyable. Mike Shaw was not only extremely knowledgable about watches, but also friendly and unpretentious. He told me a lot of interesting information about the watch I wanted, as well as other brands, without making me feel at all pressured. He seems genuinely excited to share his knowledge and educate customers about the product, and manages to do it without coming across as pushy in any way. They didn't happen to have the exact model I was looking for in the store, but he was able to use his connections to quickly source one from a west coast location. He was also able to source another watch I was purchasing for myself (despite the fact that they don't normally carry that watch in their store), which is difficult to get. He made what could've been a complicated process extremely easy for me, which I appreciated. Easy to get in touch with, very responsive, knowledgeable, and friendly - an all-around pleasure to deal with. I look forward to working with Mike in the future for any additional watch purchases, and would highly recommend him to anyone looking for a quality product through a watch expert who makes the whole experience seamless and enjoyable.

I had an excellent experience with Ben and Caroline on the 3rd floor. Both were knowledgeable, accommodating, and appropriately dressed for the venue. My watch needed servicing. Caroline and her team were able to quickly and accurately identify the problem. They are not a great resource for Tissot Seamaster repairs, but I was not charged for the consultation in return. Ben assisted me in selecting the appropriate fountain pen for my needs. The interior decor and product placement was appealing and engaging, and the product quality fell in line with that. The young woman in the second floor of eastern descent was also excellent, but I cannot remember her name. We went over a few sets of “world time” wristwatches. Yes. I would shop here again, and recommend this outlet to others.

Buying my engagement ring with my now-husband last summer was the beginning of a wonderful relationship with everyone at Shreve, but especially Darleen. From wedding bands to gifts for our wedding party and jewelry I wore on the big day, she went above and beyond to make sure that every little detail was perfect and that prices were fair for the wonderful quality the store has. My husband found a watch he wanted online for his gift--I sent Darleen the link. She (very diplomatically) pointed out the fact that the Omega he found online was a fake, even going so far as to call the manufacturer to confirm. She then tracked down the real version of the watch and had it engraved...she truly went above and beyond and he was so thrilled with it. I really can't say enough about the customer service--they make you feel comfortable and special even if you are just coming for a ring polish straight from the gym. It is not often that merchants or businesses continue follow-up with a customer long after a sale is made, unless they are trying to sell something else. They worked to make sure all items worked and were delivered as expected and certainly went above and beyond any of my expectations well after my purchase. In my experience, Caroline worked hard to come through with the product as promised while Larry has continued to ensure my timepiece is in perfect working condition. The quality of follow-up and care they have provided far exceeds many other businesses of luxury goods and I am left impressed by their genuine desire to stand behind their service and products. I have never left a review for any products, but my recent experience at this merchant and, more importantly, my incredibly pleasant experience with Mike Shaw compelled me to leave a comment. Recently, I walked in to browse some watches (Panerai and IWC in particular). I never planned to make a purchase as I am someone who researches and plans such types of purchase as they are rare for me and I look for a particular feature in such items. Upon walking in, I received much more than I expected or bargained for from Mike Shaw. First of all, he was incredibly knowledgeable about every intricate detail of each watch, provided in-depth information and answers to my questions and had very thoughtful recommendations. Although I came in close to closing time, at no point did he, nor the staff make me feel rushed or pressured to make a purchase, especially given that I had informed him from the outset that I was simply learning a little more about the two watch brands and their products. In fact, I was made to feel welcomed and valued as a potential customer while browsing their inventory. I must say that I am shocked, yet very excited and happy that Mike Shaw's attention to every detail of my needs resulted in my purchase of "just the right" timepiece on the spot that I would have wanted. With the time he devoted to me, he in fact, assisted me with settling on the watch that I knew I would eventually return to purchase. Mike's attention to my preferences, past choices, and my current wishes resulted in him pulling out just the watch that I had envisioned to add to my collection, and therein is what motivated my instantaneous purchase. I knew I could have walked out, thought about it, and never felt any pressure to make a purchase on the spot; however, his keen attention to a customer and the respectful manner of his approach is what resulted in the successful sale. Just got a Panerai PAM 104 from here and the experience was just amazing. I had been looking for that watch for quite some time and had called over a dozen Panerai Authorized Dealers and no one gave me as great of a deal as Brian Walker at Shreve, Crump & Low did. The deal was straight forward and direct, the communication from Brain before, during and after the sale was amazing. The entire deal was executed over the phone as I live in Texas and Brian handled it like a pro. We closed our deal Thursday evening and I had the watch in my possession Friday morning. I also wanted an extra strap with the watch but was not sure what shade I wanted, so Brian even went as far as contacting Panerai to speak to their specialist to find the perfect match for the one I wanted. More specifically, it was actually Mike Shaw, the VP of SC&L, who set a new standard by providing me a personalized and seamless customer experience that sincerely added value to my purchase of an amazing H. Searching for an engagement ring can be quite a daunting task and one that the vast majority of jewelry stores I passed through don't necessarily make all that much easier. Angelika Chen, Assistant Watch Department Manager, prepared an appraisal I needed in a hurry for a watch with defects and discrepancies of provenance I'd purchased elsewhere.
