In 2012 I heard about Great North Insurance from a friend. I was very hesitant about dealing with an insurance agent 200 miles away from where I live if I ever need them. I decided to give them a chance. Over the past 9 years they have been nothing but amazing. Any questions, problems, or concerns I have had have been dealt with quickly and professionally. I have also dealt with multiple people over the years and wish I could remember all of them, but most recently i have dealt with Angie Brewer who has gone above and beyond expectations. I couldn't have made a better choice. My wife was in a car accident that was not our fault and Great North Insurance followed up multiple times after the accident to make sure she was ok. They treat us like family. I've even talked my dad into switching and he says he should have done it sooner! If your thinking about making an insurance company change hands down this is the place to go.

I also love how detailed Kane was when I converted my term policy over to whole life that I took out with him back in 2012. He also didn’t gouge me with fees or hide large back ends. Almost two years ago, my husband and I switched all of our insurance to Great North Insurance. Previously, we were customers at a well-known, national insurance company; however, after seeing our rates jump considerably after filing a small claim with our renter’s insurance, we decided to shop around. We worked closely with Nick to discuss all of our insurance needs and not only did our overall insurance costs decrease, Nick also expanded our coverage on several policies. Heather Anderson ALWAYS comes through for me with anything I need! Buy a new car, twice, she had it covered and handled everything! She even got me more coverage for LESS money! Yes, I said MORE coverage LESS money, on a brand new vehicle. The second vehicle we purchased had an issue with insurance not being added within the window (my fault) Heather got Angie Brewer on it and they handled everything! Even my part because I was out of town they were able to do all of it without me! Angie handled all of it and has provided all information needed to back date my insurance and get it covered with my lender so I don’t pay a penalty! Great North Insurnace has been fantastic to work with. They provided our insurnace when we lived in Fargo however were moving out of state which we were looking at quotes from another agent in our new state. The new agent drug their feet with taking weeks to get us a quote which came back more expensive and less coverage. I called Great North Insurnace and in a matter of a few hours they quoted me home, auto insurnace and an umbrella policy with better coverage and less expensive. When we moved back to Fargo and built our home, we knew we’d be shopping around for insurance. I contacted multiple people that I personally knew for quotes on our home and auto policies. Our current “big-box” auto agent’s office sent us their quote, but we were never contacted by our actual agent. Another agent I knew in town forwarded on our information to a member of his team and while I did talk with this person, he didn’t go into great detail or recommend additional coverages. After our that conversation, we didn’t receive any follow up asking for our business. Nick at Great North Insurance sold us on their business and their best policy from the start. Nick didn’t just send me the quotes, he spent a great deal of time with me explaining the coverages we had (auto) and what he’d recommend for more realistic protection (home & auto). In reality, we probably lacked the coverage we needed with the other two quotes. Great North Insurance had the best price, while providing us with GREATER coverage and peace of mind. They also have the staff in place to meet all of our needs. When I filed a personal articles claim, a quick call to their office and they did all the leg work in getting the ball rolling with the insurance company. We notified them we bought a new vehicle and received a speedy turnaround in updating our policy. What I appreciate in both of these cases was not just the quick and friendly service, but that I didn’t have to spend “my” time getting it done, which is often the case these days with other companies. Personally working in the financial industry, I ran into a work situation where a deal wasn’t going to go through because the borrowers’ insurance premium was too high for them to qualify. I told them to call Nick (not realizing he was out of the office). His team at Great North Insurance stepped in, approved our borrowers and saved them hundreds of dollars on their premium. You will not be disappointed with Great North Insurance. Trust them with your business and they will take care of you!

So...I called GNIS, Angie answered, and I told her my name, the residence that we had insured, and asked, for tax purposes, how much we had paid on our premium Without a pause, she gave me an instant answer. I've never had an instant answer, EVER, from any company. I asked how she'd determined the number, and she said that she'd been entering information into the computer as I said it. Wow! This might sound like small potatoes, but with other companies, I typically hear, "Okay, what was your name again? I have to enter it into the computer." I have had my home & auto insurance with GNIS for about three years or so & every time I have been in need GNIS has been there for me!!! I just recently got the infamous acronym DUI & I have received nothing but the BEST insurance care EVER!!! Of course I was booted from my current insurance but Jamie & the GNIS staff have made my auto policy transition HASSLE FREE!!! Updating me on EVERYTHING!!!
