I have been doing business with Derek Witham Ins.for years he and his staff are the greatest! If I call with a problem he’s right on it he gets it resolved and calls you right back. He’s always out there trying to save you money and look for better deals. I highly recommend Derek Witham Ins. For their honesty and professionalism call you won’t be disappointed.

Ken was awesome to work with and provide very professional and attentive service. He made walking through the insurance maze process easy and explained everything along the way. I had some special out of state questions and If he didn’t know the answer for something he follow up quickly. Ken is honest and straightforward. He provided some great options, solid quality products, and suggested the “right” amount of insurance for our needs. In some cases, he upped our coverage and saved us a bunch of $$. I called on Derek Witham Insurance and got Derek Witham actually on the phone. That's a good sign right there people! The owner answering phones, taking calls and pricing policies!! Where do you get this type of service from those online terrible giant corporate monsters? No where, that's where. Derek was great in explaining coverages, helped me assess my needs and didn't try to upsell me at all. I feel like I will be a customer for life, and hope anyone reading this will give them a call/ or him for that matter. His staff is there handling calls and seem to be just as responsive as he is. He also isn't afraid of this virus, but they where masks and clean after each person came in. Give them a shout....

From start to finish both Derek and his staff made me feel comfortable and appreciated. I moved to Boston from NY and the whole Registry process in Massachusetts leaves a lot to be desired. Derek assured me that he would help me through it all, from helping me to prepare the paperwork to transferring my license over, and finally re-titling my vehicle in Massachusetts he got the job done for me. I have since been in the agency on a few different occasions, and they are always willing to help. They greet you with a smile and even offered me pizza for lunch with them one day. I recently bought renters insurance, which ultimately was free when I bundled it with my auto insurance, the discount was that significant. Certainly 5 stars from me, but try them out for yourself.

I have to write a review for Derek Witham Insurance for something that is directly a result of hard work and determination and going the extra mile. I was having a hard time with the Registry of Motor vehicles for a license issue that I had. Derek understood the problem and took the initiative to contact the Registry for me. They told him to call a certain lawyer Attorney Thomas O'Keefe that handles such matters on behalf of the RMV. He contacted the attorney and explained my situation. At first the attorney wouldn't budge, but that didn't stop Derek from following up with him time and again. Finally after 6 phone calls into the attorney, the attorney called Derek back and asked why he was being so insistent. Derek explained that he will always try to help someone from the old neighborhood and that thinking outside the box doesn't exist anymore and people don't take the time to help one another. The attorney was taken aback by his hard work and efforts and agreed to reinstate my license (conditionally). I want to explain that I had hired an attorney prior to Derek and he was unable to get the RMV to budge. I have since 3 years in, insured 2 different vehicles and referred many people to an agency that not only has great pricing, but goes way above and beyond. I can't say enough good things about him and his entire staff. If you are shopping around for a great price and amazing customer service, make no mistake, you want to insure your automobile and home here. Truly, Charles Cummings

After moving to Somerville from NY a few years ago, I was in the market for a new car insurance agent. Derek Witham Insurance Agency came highly recommended through a friend and I couldn't be happier. I made an appointment to meet with him at his office. He's was very professional and seemed quite knowledgeable, fielding any and all questions I had in simple terms I could understand. Much appreciated, when I feel other agents may try and have me sign up for things I don't need and overwhlem me with jargon outside my wheelhouse. Fast-forward a few years and he has proven to be reliable and has helped me beyond his practice. When I was looking for life insurance, he directed me to another agent. And when I needed freelance insurance for work, he also took care of me. I am unsure if everyone receives the same care as I, but the coworkers and friends I have referred him to have all be taken care of as well. I could have gone with a closer and national agency, but I am so glad I didn't make that mistake. His staff are great too. Also, I really dig the new office.

I was referred to Derek Witham after telling someone about my unhappiness with my former insurance company. I used an online company and to be honest they have no clue how Massachusetts auto insurance works, Actually strike that, no clue how the registry of motor vehicles works. Derek was quick to offer a registry service to “keep me from losing 3 hours of my life that I’ll never get back” for a nominal fee of $20 that basically goes to some poor soul (a registry runner) who waits in line for you. I wasn’t sure what my vehicle was worth, and they helped me establish the book value and figure out if it was worth it for me to have full coverage or not. He offered me a group discount on top of my AAA discount which is always helpful. It’s a very laid back Agency, and plenty of parking.

I really can’t say enough wonderful things about Derek Witham Insurance! When I first met with Derek I was hoping to save a few bucks on my car and renters insurance plan. I had no idea the barrage of bad luck that would come my way, and how absolutely amazing Derek has been on helping me and my family. In the first year of be coming a client, I was hit not once, not twice but three times-not one was my fault. He was always available and handled my claims quickly and with no hassle. Two of those accidents were with a new car if you can believe it. In my times of frustration, and disbelieve, his calm demeanor and tag line “they’re called an accident for a reason” we’re always helpful in calming me down. We also have renters insurance thru him and if you think my bad luck ends with my car, you’re in for a treat! We’ve had to put in a claim when a pipe burst over my kitchen. Thankfully nothing was ruined in my kitchen, but he still assisted us with filing a claim just in case and assisted us in finding temporary housing while work was completed. With all my bad luck in the last few years, you’d figure he would have dropped us by now, but I still breathe a sigh of relief every September when I get my new policy, for less money the previous year.
