Outrageously good ice cream, one of my all time favorites for sure. Insanely good texture, amazing flavors, perfect sweetness all with good portions and decent prices. They usually have 10 flavors with 1-2 vegan options and also have multiple toppings and allow sampling as well. Ample seating is there both outside and inside the shop. I had blueberry cheesecake, strawberry basil with lemoncurd and peach cobbler. I loved all three of them, especially the flavor of the blueberry cheesecake, combination of basil and strawberry and the small pieces of peach cobbler in its ice cream. I will definitely revisit multiple times. They also have lemonade, iced tea, shakes, floats, sundaes etc.

Wow. The ice cream here is fantastic. Not only is the ice cream quality top notch, but the unique flavors makes this an experience unlike others. I got two scoops, one blueberry cobbler, and other called the “All Inclusive”. The cobbler was fantastic. Big chunks of blueberries and crunch cobbler are generously yet sophisticatedly dispersed throughout. The rich, creamy vanilla ice cream is the perfect mix for this. The All Inclusive was a real treat. This is a rice pudding based ice cream with mangos and maduros (plantains). This melds several different cultures and continents into one delectable dessert. The ice cream itself tastes just like rice pudding only creamier. And there is a good mango flavor throughout. You also will get those excellent bites that have chunks of mangoes or plantains. The restaurant is currently hard to find as there is a giant scaffolding outside the business, however do come here to be blown away by the quality of this product.

CHAIRPERSON OF THE Board (Blueberry cheesecake): tasty with a satisfying crunch, I guess that was the graham cracker. HARLEM SWEETIES (salted caramel, butterscotch, brownies): great flavors and I enjoy how the brownie changes the texture. I like how, when I asked what they recommended, they didn't hesitate in pointing to these two flavors. That cut down on the choice anxiety I otherwise would feel!

Super yummy ice-cream, including vegan options! There are very few ice-cream shops in the area, so I appreciate seeing local businesses pop up. Their portions are reasonable and the decor is very nice— they have murals on the wall. The names of the ice-cream flavors are inventive— I had sweet socialism (chocolate) and it was delicious.

Came here after a stand up show and what a great way to end the night! All the flavors sounded yummy (with very amusing names). I ended up deciding on a scoop of the cookie dough and blueberry cheesecake. Cookie was classic and did not disappoint. The blueberry cheesecake was definitely the star though. Creamy and Buttery with a bit a salt, backed by the blueberry and cheese cake piece Absolutely Amazing! Definitely the reason I would come here again. The store was nicely decorated and great place to take a date to for a nice treat. The service also super nice.

Unique flavors that are actually good plus some classics for those who want to play it safe, and good vegan options as well. Split scoop for $6 is a great deal. Service was incredibly friendly and speedy. Cannot wait to come back. I think it’s our new favorite ice cream in Harlem.

We had the most wonderful birthday party for our daughter at Sugar Hill Creamery. I can honestly rave about every aspect of the experience from the communication leading up to it preparing the logistics to the way the entire team made us feel so well-taken care of from the minute we and the guests arrived. The kids loved the slime-making activity they planned and the birthday cake was "the best ice cream cake I've ever had" (said by multiple party guest in addition to us!). This very special place and these very special people made for a truly memorable birthday party with lots of happy kids (and happy parents!).

They make some of the most interesting variety of ice cream flavors (including vegan ones!) in the city. The staff are nice, the prices are high, but at least the portions are satisfying. There are a few tables available outside. Last time there were small children climbing up the scaffolding outside (which was high and not safe) as they waited for their ice cream with their parents. I didn't enjoy sitting outside.

Super friendly staff! They let you try all the flavors. I've had the salted caramel crunch, blueberry cheesecake, honey lavender with beautiful, thick pieces of honeycomb inside, vanilla bean, Peach cobbler and cafe something with peanut brittle inside ALL ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS! They are generous with their portion sizes. They also now have an outdoor seating area.

Came all the way from Central Park because of the high ratings. I can day the ratings are well deserved. Ice cream was amazing! We tried the Blueberry cheesecake, peach cobbler, and brown bombshell. The Blueberry and peach were better than the chocolate.

Hands down it’s the best ice cream I’ve ever had. Other competitors are too hyped up and have no substance. What’s unique about Sugar Hill are their creative flavors and quality. I love the Tuma Buma- coffee ice cream with crunchy turmeric and ginger candy. I love having all these unexpected flavors work so well together. Highly recommend!!!

Good quality, unique flavors like Ethiopian coffee with turmeric, watermelon with black sesame, etc. Clean interiors, beautiful murals, and good customer service. They have a reward program. Open til 11pm!!! Perfect late night snacks. Highly recommended. Very happy to find this place. Will be back.

I really enjoyed the ice cream. I had the blueberry cheesecake Ice cream on a waffle cone. There is scaffolding above the shop, so you have to really look for it if it’s your first time. Staff is friendly and explains thoroughly any questions you may have. I asked about more vegan options. He said they get that request a lot, but because it’s mostly water, there aren’t many options besides their watermelon, dark chocolate and sour sop. I understand that. They have a cute yellow bench you can sit on outside the store if you want to just chill and listen to their music from a speaker up top. It’s cute, it’s quaint. I had a good time and will definitely go back. Too many flavors I’d like to try. I didn’t give 5 stars this time only because of course, we are in a pandemic and the actual store space was off limits. I couldn’t go in and actually view the ice creams, sorbets, etc in their showcase. From the window, there appears to be art on the walls inside. I would’ve loved to see the art, but maybe next time.

Ice cream shop in harlem. Nice little store with some quirky and friendly staff who helped pick out an ice cream. Store has a cutesy vibe to it. The ice cream itself was pretty decent, but actually became a little too much for me towards the end, so maybe share with someone. They have a variety of unique flavors, as well as some vegan options. Not a bad ice cream store and would likely come back.

I been going to Sugarhill Creamery since the beginning. One of my favorites besides the Chairman, ( I always get it) is the ice cream cakes. The ice cream cakes by far is one of the most well executed and best tasting one I have ever had. (It’s pretty looking too!) It’s definitely a showstopper for a celebration of all kinds! Periodt!

We were just walking by when we peeked in to a cute, new ice cream shop. We went in when we saw three flavors were labeled vegan! The employees were great and offered us sample of everything. We got (all) 3 scoops (sprinkles included) for $8.50 The soursop flavor was amazing. You can eat in at the large tables inside.

This ice cream spot appears to be a HIT here in Harlem considering the amount of people pouring in to get ice cream on a Monday. It's a perfect day for some since it's hot and humid out. I made it in just before the rush, was able to explore the various, unique ice cream choices (which all sounds so tasty by the way) and grab an empty table. The inside is a decent size with a few tables but they also have several tables outside. When you walk inside it is bright, homey and has beautiful murals on the walls. I was immediately greeted by the friendly staff. One of the staff members informed me of his favorite mix which pairs very well together and he sounded so convincing. The mix was "Chairperson Of The Board" and "Hello, New World." Once I sat down and tried both I was simply in Heaven. What an incredible, delectable mix! "Chairperson Of The Board" is a customer favorite! It's their signature cream cheese-based ice cream that has layers of graham crackers and blueberry jam. It’s like a frozen blueberry cheesecake. YUM! "Hello, New World" is their latest flavor that was created in celebration of their fifth year in business. It's vanilla wafers, Oreo cookies, and caramel swirls. You get a salty sweet bite in every spoonful. I'm so looking forward to coming back and trying other flavors.

I must say this is my first time in this area and the purpose of looking for some ice cream to eat I don't think I could have found a more unique and satisfactory treat. The taste of the flavors was greeted with the satisfactory smile and a happy pallet. I enjoyed my selection and would suggest to anyone in the area go then try their flavors there's different creamy tasty and plain good. I will of course in the next few days go back to try something else to have one that menu and I'm sure I'll be happy.

Great boutique ice cream parlor with unique rotating flavors. My go-tos are their peach cobbler and blueberry pie varieties. Recently I had their cookies and caramel flavor and it was absolutely delicious - and I usually dislike caramel in ice cream!

Nice little place, great ice cream made in house. Jordi was great with my son and even took a break while busy taking the trash out from the basement to give my son an out-of-breath lesson on how they make ice cream. That made his day. Would 100% recommend.

⭐️STELLAR Ice Cream for the whole family. Our family bought 5 different flavors today and each was better than the last. Extraordinary and fun combinations, silken texture and such a friendly team in the shop. If you value flavors that reflect the Diaspora you will love it even more. The flavor is off the CHAIN and probably one of my favorite things not a one is overly sugary, so it feels like ice cream from a fine restaurant. Probably means it’s made in smaller fresh batches. They are rich and flavorful without sugary finish of Stone Cold and other huge chains. Exquisite recipes! On top of it all, super reasonable prices. We have eaten here for years, it is perfect every visit. Very warm folks working there, and the owners are charming and passionate about customers feeling at home. We even took a pint home today. Love it.

Sooo many interesting and delicious flavors!! I had a scoop of the combo of the basil, strawberry, shortcake, and lemon variety (forgot what it was called). Also has some standard flavors like vanilla and salted caramel if you're not feeling adventurous, too, but I am going to keep coming for the innovative flavor combos! Update 1.14.2022: This is my favorite place to go to for ice cream. Just went yesterday and had the roasted pineapple and caramel (coconut base - vegan) and it was excellent! Yum!

Loved this place. The inside reminds me of an old school ice cream parlor and the staff were welcoming and friendly. Upon giving them my name for the Elite week, I selected my two flavors - Fly Girl, Lavender Honey and Nunu's Peach Cobbler. The Fly Girl was on top and the Nunu's on the bottom...I enjoyed the Fly Girl however the Nunu's took first place. I sat outside and enjoyed the ice cream then walked home. It was warm and the ice cream was melting so I had to eat it fast...sorry no pics this time. lol Glad this place isn't too far for me so I can walk off all the calories I'll enjoy!

Adorable place! I had the Soursop Ice Cream because I was looking for a lactose-free option and I was pleasantly surprised. Their flavours are pretty interesting overall, I'd recommend a visit.

Wow! Wow! Wow! WOW!!!!!!!!!!! Their ice cream is incredible. I honestly couldn't stop thinking about it. A friend and colleague hosted an ice cream crawl on Saturday, November 6 and Sugar Hill Creamery was the second stop on the crawl. It's now Monday, November 8 and I am still thinking about how good that ice cream was. I had the split scoop cup with vanilla bean and jazzy belle. By the end, I was scraping the bottom of the cup, longing for more. You won't be disappointed with Sugar Hill Creamery -- it's very, very, very good!

Cute shop with unique flavors that feel super special. We had the corn jalapeno blackberry and the July strawberry shortcake ice cream sandwich with the strawberry basil ice cream. Both were delicious but the strawberry basil was off the charts amazing. The staff were very nice and let us try multiple flavors. Worth the walk from the UWS. Will definitely make frequent return trips.

This creamery has placed a unique twist on ice cream. They have a variety of flavors that are nothing like you’re accustomed to (vegan options also available). They have a cute rewards program that you get points for all your purchases. The downside is you must use the same credit card every time. So if you pay in cash (even though you have the number associated to the account) then you will not get any points (according to the server).

We booked Sugar Hill Creamery to have as the dessert course for our upstate NY wedding. A major perk was getting to try all of their flavors, which were all delicious and innovative. We ultimately went with the Blueberry Cheesecake, Harlem Sweeties, and Sweet Socialism. It was a HUGE hit among our guests. While we don't live in the city anymore, whenever we're in the neighborhood we'll always make an excuse to stop by. Thanks Petrushka and Nick!

Great! The line looked long because of social distancing but it moved quickly. Ordered vanilla, blueberry cheesecake, lemon sorbet, vanilla brownie cup and a cone (sorry for not using the names of the ice creams). I even think the owner of the creamery took my order! My boyfriend and I had gotten the blueberry cheese cake ice cream and his mom and brother had the rocky road , but it didn't have any marshmallows or anything in it to make it rocky . The kind woman behind the counter was welcoming and generous to tell me about their ice creams while I waited for my friend. They make fresh every night and you can tell. There's a few vegan options including a chocolate which was good and a jack fruit coconut milk which was super tasty. Even their vanilla ice cream sings- you can tell they use many seed pods per batch because your whole mouth fills with the taste. And lovely murals. Great spot.

This is a cool little spot. I went with a friend as we were looking for another spot that had actually closed down. But we were pleased with the available flavors. They even have a non-dairy flavor. The size of the place is pretty adequate, And they have several tables for you to use. I would have liked a few extra dairy options, but I was definitely pleased with the choice made. I definitely plan to visit this place again when I'm closer to that side of Harlem. As of July 2019, there is a beautiful struction in front of the location. It may take a little bit to find it, but you know that it is open still.

The flavors are amazing but sometimes the customer service here is my definition of horrible!! Asked for and extra cone on both orders; Received extra scoops then the girl giving us attitude stating she don’t understand... clearly if you don’t understand in the beginning don’t say ok and continue and order. Then asked again after explaining was and extra cone not another scoop of ice cream. She eventually added to one and it was all broken 😑 The one that we kept single was also broken and made a big mess on our way home. And we paid extra... two extra scoops + for the broken cone! I’m a regular customer the taste it amazing!! But the attitude and communication sometimes are not worthy!

Super cute place, great for families or a first date. They don't have a wide selection of flavors, maybe 8-10, but the flavors were delicious (blueberry cheesecake!) And they also had a couple of vegan options. I tried the horchata and it was also yummy with a coconut cream base. They also had a variety of coffees and even a strawberry lemonade.

We tried the honey/lavender, the bourbon peach crumble, and the blueberry cheesecake AND THEY WERE ALL PHENOMENAL. We are ice cream people, both dairy and vegan, and favor places like Jeni's, Graeter's, Van Leeuwen's, Morgenstern's, Ample Hills... And now Sugar Hill Creamery. Get to Harlem ASAP to savor their ice cream! I want to bring everyone I know there. There are seats our front, but we had our car so we just parked out front and enjoyed it with the roof open and windows down. Can't wait to go back.

This place is so fun and yummy and LOCAL. I love it. The Chocolate Sorbet is amazing - dark and delicious and not icy at all. My other fav it the Roasted Corn and Jalapeno. Yum! The flavors here we're unique and everything we tried was unbelievably good. The guy scooping the ice cream was one of the most enthusiastic people I have ever met, and made my husband a special taste scoop of horchata with extra cinnamon because he said it was his favorite. We had our daughter's 7th birthday celebration here, and it was a lovely, super fun affair. Petrushka was wonderful with the kids (there were 7 of them) while they made candy jewelry. It was an intimate setting, complete with balloons and a festively-set table. Kids got ice cream (which, by the way, is amazing. Salted caramel crunch and dark chocolate are awesome, as are ALL of the frequently-changing flavors), and we brought our own pizza and cake. I really appreciate the care and the thought that goes into the ice cream recipes and this place all around.

Stop reading and just walk in, enjoy some ice cream, and relax. Honestly, the flavors are amazing. Like, you won't believe how good. And they aren't stingy with the samples, either! The girl at the counter let us try like five flavors before I had to tell her to stop, so that I could decide! (Each sample was better than the last, so she made my choice harder, lol) The one downside is that the prices can be on the higher side. However, rest assured that it is worth every cent.

The coolest ice cream shop around! From the storefront to the inside ambiance to the interaction with employees was so welcoming you couldn't help but explore the frozen confectionary offerings on display. I love the music playing inside the store and the crowd kept on coming but the employees were super attentive at all times to the needs of each customer. I couldn't decide which flavor I wanted but they patiently provided each sample I asked to try. I mean the vibe was so inviting I didn't want to leave lol. It felt like I was transported to this warm, safe, and comfortable environment that just made it feel so different from any shop I had ever seen. It may look quaint at first glance but the attention to detail, availability of flavors, and total experience is worth the journey from any bourough to find a frozen piece of mind at the Sugar Hill Creamery. You been yet??? Try the sour sop sorbet if you dare lol. I can't wait to go back!

After taking the 2/3 line all the way there, I patiently waited in the quick moving line. When I got to the front, they just sold their last cookies for an ice cream sandwich. Tucked underneath a perpetually blighted scaffold. Sugar Hill Creamery is literally a hidden gem along Lenox Avenue. The shop itself has a neighborhood feel, that's missing from chains like Baskin Robbins and Hagen Daaz. The ice cream selections are written on a chalkboard, which hints that the flavors offered could change, in short order. My scoop of Mango ice cream on a cone was delicious. Soft and flavorful without being overly sweet. My joy quickly faded as my wife offered me a sample of the Sour Sop ice cream. This flavor is not to be believed and could be the creamery' signature flavor. Located on 119th and Lenox, Sugar Hill Creamery could be a neighborhood institution before too long and a must for NYC ice cream lovers. Go and go often!
