Loved the Gelato! Marco was super cute & friendly! Very complimentary of his work family & working here! Love when workers love their job including his I heart Gelato hat! My daughter has pnut allergies & he took all the precautions! Decor is cute inside & steady business at 8:30pm on a Tues night which speaks 4 itself! Come visit, u won't regret it! Our Gelato was awesome: double berry, Carmel, raspberry, & tropical orange.

This place was SOOOO good! I'm not a huge dessert person, but I do like a good Gelato. We came here after a day at the Musical Instrument Museum for a pick-us-up snack. Google reviews were right, VERY good (and I only skimmed two before we came here)! We all liked our gelato ~ definitely a crowd pleaser. Nice clean area out front to sit down and relax in the sun. Definitely will come back next time I am in town! *It was a little difficult to find when we drove by the first time in the parking lot, because their sign on the building is covered up by a tarp from the place next door if you are coming from the north side. So make sure you look for their name in their window (which is also hard to see because it is dark). Look for the tables out front as your landmark.

I have been to Italy. I have eaten gelato all over italy. I have tired tons of flavors in Rome, Amalfi Coast, Burano, Venice and other locations. This gelato destination is as good, if not better than even the best spots in Italy. The proprietor is kind and generous. The flavor choices are outstanding. Hands down the best gelato I've ever had! The owners are always there and so friendly and willing to assist. I never know what flavor to get but you can't go wrong with good old half chocolate half vanilla! Just perfect. Perfect Sunday afternoon date. Don't forget they're closed on Mondays :)

After a friend recommended That's Amore Gelato as the best around, we decided it would be the perfect birthday treat for my husband. We were not disappointed. We got lucky and arrived around 7:45 PM on a Wednesday night and got served right away. But the line that formed right behind us was out the door......and for good reason. The selection of flavors are vast, interesting and delicious! My husband had the coconut with chocolate and I had the old tried and true, mint chocolate chip. Pricing is reasonable and the portions are perfect. I had a small which was more than plenty. There is seating inside and out but plan on waiting. Don't worry. You'll be glad you did.

Delicious flavors! This time I had the panna cotta gelato and forest fruits sorbet. The panna cotta was sweet and creamy, which perfectly matched the tangy sorbet. I've had the tiramisu gelato here before and that is also very good.

This is hands down the best gelato in AZ. I actually haven't been able to find better gelato outside of Italy. This restaurant, run by an Italian family, uses the same ingrediens used in Italy. If you don't have a preference for your ice cream, then by all means go to the closest local ice cream parlor... There are plenty to choose from here in the valley. But if you have discerning taste, and appreciate a good ice cream, definitely go to that's amore. It's a bit out of the way for many, but it's totally worth it.

If you want to treat yourself, I highly recommend gelato at That's Amore. They are even busy in the winter because they serve the most delicious gelato in the Valley with a wide variety of flavors. In addition, they have cake, cannoli, cookies, sandwiches, and cappuccino. The two Italian families that own this place are some of the kindest people I've ever met. We take everyone who visits to indulge here, and they always want to go back to try additional flavors (haven't had a bad one yet). Auguri to the owners for edible perfection.

Huge variety of gelato flavors, which made it difficult to choose. We were a party of four and each had something different... every flavor was great. They also offer some delicious looking Italian pastries, but just having come from lunch and then gelato, we opted to skip the pastries. Service is excellent and food is amazing. I would suggest going for pastries and coffee the future and maybe even a lunch sandwich and dessert.

There’s a reason for all of the awards on the wall! I split my time living in Scottsdale and Europe. I’ve lived in Milano and Firenze, Italy and Lugano, Switzerland. I’ve tasted lots of gelato, and this location serves the most authentic and high-quality gelato you’ll find in the Valley of the Sun. I’ve visited That’s Amore several times now. Get there early. This place is popular. The pastries disappear fast.

Fresh, real deal gelato. Around 40 fantastic flavors to choose from. This isn't some bougie bogus chain BS. It's the real deal. The pistachio and crème brulée are bonkers. Shout out to the chocolate sorbetto and the black cherry, too. It's all good. Counter service with a couple small tables and chairs outside but several outdoors. Great way to cap off dinner.

I recently went to That's Amore to order a wedding cake for our wedding reception and wanted a cake that was not too fancy but very special and was full of meaning. The staff was amazing in helping me choose the perfect wedding cake; size, color, flavors and style. This could not have been easier and I felt like they really cared about me and made everything so easy. Also, they were great in helping with having the cake ready on time and the wedding cake, presented (and consumed) at the reception, exceeded expectations and was amazing. Everyone, including the restaurant staff (we offered the awesome people at Spiga Cucina to enjoy; the least we could do), thoroughly loved and enjoyed the cake. Please visit That's Amore and I really can't highly recommend them enough.

Best gelato outside of Italy. The owners are from Milan. Located in North Scottsdale, it is a bit of a drive for many people, but so worth the effort. They have the usual flavors plus an abundance of unusual flavors to please every palate. They are closing for vacation from July 8 - July 27. Try them when they return. We even go there during the winter months to get our gelato fix.

I took my mother here. Mother's Day and they had so many flavors! My mom couldn't decide so we ended up getting 3 different kinds to try. We loved it and ended up buying two containers to bring back for family members. The process we're decent and the staff (or owners, wasn't sure) we're extremely nice and very patient as we struggled to make up our minds. Wil definitely be going back. DELICIOUS!!! This place is AWESOME!!!! My wife and I decided to check this place out 40 min away from our home and we were extremely pleased with the service and food. We ordered paninis and they mentioned they were out of bread. After a quick talk with each other, they told us if we could wait 10 minutes they would bake fresh bread. I told them not to worry about it and they insisted on baking fresh bread. So we had fresh, authentic baked Italian bread for our paninis. The gelato is just like it is in Italy. The owners are true people and people oriented. A Must Do!!!

The best Gelato (Gelato is the Italian word for ice cream. It starts out with a similar custard base as ice cream, but typically has a higher proportion of milk and a lower proportion of cream and eggs (or no eggs at all). It is churned at a much slower rate, incorporating less air and leaving the gelato denser than ice cream. Gelato is usually served at a slightly warmer temperature than ice cream, so its texture stays silkier and softer. Because it has a lower percentage of fat than ice cream, the main flavor ingredient really shines through.) In all of Arizona hands down.

A local favorite with unrivaled gelato; the cutest authentic italian family runs this wonderful place and each of their homeade flavors are packed with deliciousness! You cant get genuine fresh gelato like this anywhere else in the valley- I've had gelato while in several cities in Italy and this is the only spot in Arizona I've tried that comes anywhere close!! The very italian owner is so nice and apparently uses a family recipe. It's incredible! you get three flavors with a medium. FYI, the Whisky cream is amazing. I also had peanut butter and a chocolate chip. All were very good! My wife had biscotti, cappuccino, and dulche latte. All were delicious. That's Amore has the best gelato I've had outside of Italy (even better than much in the motherland). What's more, is that the gelato makers there have an awe-striking selection of gelati in traditional varieties. The family and staff that run the shop are always incredibly helpful. Feel free to ask them about their trade and you might come out with some gelato knowledge! Though a bit off the beaten path, this shop is worth driving to from all over the valley!

Best Gelato this side of Italy! One thing that had always amazed people is that i don't like ice cream very much. I'll have it once or twice a year but just because someone else is having it. So, when a neighbor told me about this place i wasn't overly excited but Whalen to be in the area so i decided to treat my wife. That's when my life changed. Where has this Gelato been all my life? We've been back almost every day for over a month. In the evening the place is very busy. The staff (two Italian couples) is very nice. That's Amore has about 30 flavors of Gelato. We also ordered a Gelato cake for a birthday. I highly recommend this place of you happen to be within 50 miles of Scottsdale.

This is our local gelato place and in the summer we often go once a week. The ingredients are stellar (you know they are sourcing good ingredients when your favorite flavor is out because they couldn't get the right berries that week). There a ton of choices of gelato flavors but if gelato is not your thing then they have pastries, tiramisu, sfolliete, and my favorite espresso with a side of lingue di gatto (they do look like cats' tongues!). You can also get gelato to go which comes well packed in a styrofoam container to make it home in the hot Arizona summers. This is THE place we take visiting friends and family and we wouldn't go anywhere else.

I stopped by to get a cup of coffe on a Sunday evening this gelatery is run by italians in a very conservative not very diversed neighbourhood ethnically speaking which mean not a very inclined community eager to try a broader assortment of delicious pastries more uncommon gelatos flavours that the Italians are famous for I had a very good quality Sfogliatela with my coffee. I guess it must be very hard to compromise the excellent food tradition as the Italians are known for when you are surrounded by a society raised in a Bic Mac tradition.

The gelato still tastes AMAZING. The old owners are gone and the new staff seems very confused and slow. The gelato server is painstakingly slow. We asked for a macchiato and we were given a cappuccino. I hope they step up their service because we absolutely love this place and want to keep coming here, but the change is noticeable.
