This was an fun and interesting date night for my wife and I. We weren’t really sure what to expect. I’m glad we took a chance on it and tried. The owners are from New York and have found a fun way to make ice cream in front of you! We got a s’more ice cream cup. They rolled the ice cream like circular wafers and then burned a marshmallow on top which was so cool to watch. We’ll definitely be going back for more!

The people running this place are so great. And the ice cream is delicious. When you order rolled ice cream you also get a show! They pour the liquid ingredients onto a freezing plate right in front of you. They mix and scrape ending with a smooth, frozen sheet. The sheet is then scraped into rolls of delicious flavor. I have a mango ice cream roll with juicy mango flavored boba beads. Not to mango or too cream, just right!

Overwhelmed then underwhelmed. It could definitely be cute but it feels stripped down from its glory days. First there are these menus everywhere. You have to try find and build something from that. If you like cereal in your ice cream you're in luck they have a ton of it. They offer rolled ice cream if you're into that. The menus are different at different shops so they may not have what you are looking for if you seen a photo of something you want online. I got a plain ch chip cookie ice cream cone and one drilled ice cream flavor in a small cup. It cost $17.69 with the tip. That was ridiculously over priced for what I got. I didn't add toppings because they just didn't look appetizing. The covers were cloudy and dirty. Those candies are the star of the show they should be sparkling clean. I'd recommend this place for kids under 14. I attached a photo of the "drilled" ice cream which is another way of making a blizzard. You'll see there is a cup of ice cream in a plain white cup, that's it. The cone was just as small and depressing. The clerk was friendly and helpful.

Seriously, if you love ice cream, you HAVE to check this place out! The choices are Endless, AND they have vegan options! Absolutely worth Every Penny. The staff is always amazing, friendly and helpful. My kids are blown away at their creations, and how they look Just like the posted pictures! We love visiting here, and it’s become a regular summer tradition ☀️

So many options! My kids and I are all dairy free vegetarians and this place has not one but 5 full vegan flavor options and they are all stellar not overly iced amazing and creamy like traditional ice cream. Then there’s the 50 flavor mix in options so you don’t get stuck getting the same thing again and again. And don’t worry cow milk drinkers, they had an additional 12 flavors for you too.

Amazing customer service! The young gentleman that served us was awesome. Explained everything on the menu and was super informative and friendly. The ice cream menu and options are so fun. This place was pretty good. They have a lot of flavors and combinations. I liked how you could get rolled ice cream, cones, shakes, and even drilled options. I went with a shake. Birthday cake cheesecake lucky charms cereal was the flavor I got. Surprisingly not bad with the cereal. Worth a visit.

Such a fun ice cream shop! We took my kids here to celebrate a special occasion and it was so awesome! The people working there (maybe the owners?) were so sweet too! They gave us balloons when we left and my kids just had the best time ever!

Ice cream options are great especially the vegan choices. A little on the expensive side but I guess they're competitive. I took one star off for the smell, not sure what that was but great that there's seating outside.

I didn’t get the gentleman’s name that just served me, but he was superb! I let him know it was my first time here, and he said, “ oh okay! Would you like me to give you a run down of the menu?” I said, “Yes, please!” (Usually when I’ve mentioned being a newbie in establishments, it’s ignored) and he was very informative on everything on the menu. I got to watch him make the strawberries with cheesecake rolls (forgot the name of it) and it is DELICIOUS (I should have took a before pic, I usually do but I said just one bite… hehe)! I’m such a chocolate fanatic but anything cheesecake, ALWAYS gets me, also! *Just next time, I’ll be sure to ask for a bit more whipped cream 😋

Totally worth the wait! The line was short but the wait was pretty long. After tasting the ice cream rolls it was totally worth it and absolutely delicious! The employees were friendly and kind. Only recommendation - bring your own spoon! The sporks cannot handle the frozen deliciousness.

Had our first visit this evening and enjoyed the ice cream. Large selection of flavors and toppings with non-dairy options. That aside, one of my daughters fell out of her chair while eating (typical toddler, goofing around) and the owner was kind enough to go in the back and get her a balloon to make her feel better. They asked if it was our first time and offered to breakdown their menu. They were extremely nice and patient. It didn’t feel like they were rushing us at all. Many great flavors, my wife’s rolled ice cream was $6.99, it was fun watching them make it too. Clean place and they were wearing masks and gloves. Wife was very happy with the flavor. We will return! We appreciate the breakdown, it will make future visits more likely.

First of all our minds were blown 🤯🤯🤯 second of all ITS DELICIOUS. Our kids are such finiky eaters and everyone finished their ice cream! The drilled ice cream is a must try as well as the ice cream rolls. I'm nosy reading other reviews 😜 I thought the pricing was INCREDIBLE!!!! I fed my son, my twins and myself for $37.53 including a $4.57 tip! Say what!!!! You will not find me in a coldstone again I will promise you that. The experience is one of a kind and the Customer service is remarkable! Pictures speak for themselves. We will be going there alot this summer. Highly recommend ❤️🍨🍨🍨🍦🍦❤️

This ice cream in seriously delicious. We tried strawberry rolled ice cream, the zero degrees biscoff rolled ice cream, and a midtown with cherry chip ice cream. Everything was fantastic. The ice cream is rich and creamy and the flavors really come through. Can't wait to go back!

The creativity and customer service at 212 is excellent! The ice cream itself is average at best. The mix-ins and drill mixer certainly ramp it up a notch for some flavored fun. Def a must when in the area.

How did we not know about this place? We really enjoyed the custom ice creams we ordered. We did FERRERO ROCHER rolled ice cream and Time Square. Both were delicious!!! FERRERO ROCHER was crushed evenly throughout the ice cream. Love how the milk was poured on and turned to ice cream. The warm donuts in the Time Square are super sweet but balanced well with the vanilla ice cream. I recommend coconut and butterscotch to round it out but entirely your choice. Can't wait to try a drill treat!!! Definitely going back (make sure you sign up for the reward program).

We have been a couple times now, and have loved it each time! The staff are super friendly, and seem to be striving hard to ensure you have a great experience there. Follow them on social media to get extra deals or free ice cream. The ice cream has all been great so far! They have standard soft serve, but they also have some unique mixes that involve cereal. Definitely recommend you stop by!

My family came in tonight 1/16 for a treat to end the day for my 2 daughters bdays. We got there pretty close to closing time and ordered 6 ice cream rolls which put us in the store a few minutes past closing. The young man that helped us was so super nice and we were very thankful we were able to get some yummy ice cream. We decided to eat outside so he could close up the store and he made sure we didnt need anything or even water before he closed up. Very nice and thoughtful. Will definitely be back!

This is the first time we tried 212 ice cream studio. They have vegan options and lots of good ice cream and mix ins. The ice cream was good. I would recommend you try it out especially if you are a vegan. They have a live face book like counter that the kids love because it only has about a 5 second delay. Go see them! Please let me know what you think of the ice cream when you try it out. Update 2-14-20 they have vegan options and gluten free mix ins. Now you no reason not to stop by and try some ice cream.

Had so much fun at 212 ice cream! I love their wild mix of flavors! We have had charcoal, lavender, and dragon fruit so far and nothing has been bad! Love the shovel spoons and the staff is super friendly and helpful! Love the funky feel and my kids love getting cereal on their ice cream! Definitely the place to be and we will be frequent fliers this summer to survive this heat!

Went in and it was nice and dead. We were having such a hard time deciding on what to get! There's just plenty of good options to choose from. They do have a good amount of vegan options too!! While we were deciding, they brought out a balloon for our son which he loved. Then, a mob of ppl came in and got pretty busy. Lol Service was great and attentive. The ice cream rolls were good! However, I would of liked my donut in the sandwich to be fresher, softer. Idk if it was on the hard side because of the ice cream. It's right next door to a Bosa Donuts... we also got a create your shake and it was good as well. I will be back!

Tina the owner came from NYC. Had a blast on mother's day here. I was surprised that they have vegan ice cream. A nice community of people. They use all natural flavoring. Real ish yo! They have 224K gold topping in which I had. Tasty! They have wild ideas of combinations that blow your mind. Everyobe loves it, all ages. They ship in the highest quality and will NOT compromise on quality ingredients. The customer service is heart warming. Come and enjoy!

The owners are so kind and the ice cream is so delicious! They have keto options, rolled ice cream, shakes, countless dairy and dairy-free options, very interesting toppings, and Instagram-ready neon signs. I got the Wall Street which had warm milk cake (an Indian sweet), vanilla ice cream, butterscotch, and caramel sauce. My husband got a keto vanilla drill with fruity pebbles and rainbow sprinkles in a midnight vanilla cone. This is a great place for ice cream, soft serve, and their special "drill" which takes any ice cream of your choice + cereal + toppings and whips it into a soft serve. I cannot speak highly enough about 212. Repping New York!

This location is amazing! I Love the floors and how spacious it is for the customers side! They have the drilled (which is always a favorite) but they also have the Rolled icecream, which is a new favorite! My daughter tried it the opening day (Oreo 2.0) and absolutely LOVED it! For her birthday she tried the Biscoff rolled with the topping and everything! She said it was the best birthday ever I tried the vegan rolled Biscoff and it was absolutely delicious, they keep the vegan stuff well marked and they have a separate rolling surface for the vegan rolled Icecream which is super nice to see right there up front! They also have all the vegan flavors for the drilled Icecream with the vegan cereal and toppings. I Adore this place and the owner is super wonderful, the staff is very friendly and welcoming, feels like home! if you haven't tried it yet, GO NOW!! You're missing out!

This ice cream was so good that I became depressed after. You’ll find yourself eating it then you look up at the night sky and realize how insignificant you are. Great place that I highly recommend! Adults and kids alike would love it! Unfortunately, a worker called out sick when we were there, so the owner was doing everything by himself. This is not a place that can be run by 1 person. However, he did an amazing job upholding the standards and didn't just cut corners to move people through the line. You can just tell that upholding standards and doing everything as advertised was very important to him. If the ice cream you chose had 10 Fruit Loops on it, then he placed all 10 fruit loops 1x1. That told me alot about the place. And after we waited and he served us, he gave us a discount and Thanked us for being patient. Great Customer Service!!! Well, in the end, it was worth the wait. The rolled ice cream, the floats and the drilled ice cream was excellent. Even just a regular basic scoop of chocolate ice cream was soooooo good ( I tasted everyone's choices)....Therefore, I will definitely go back here. The owner is from Long Island, so I now understand why it's called 212 (NY Area Code)

Vegan lavender cone with acai magic and mint glacier. And vegan birthday cake come with mocha madness and sea salt caramel. We also found out that the ice cream is agave sweetened. The very friendly and helpful staff gave us samples of the soft serve too. The matcha is amazing. Great store, great staff, great vegan ice cream!

Great staff. Super friendly and very helpful. They walked us through the process and all of the options. We chose drilled ice cream. There are so many options including vegan and keto. I had the Heavenly Hazelnut (vegan) with the cinnamon pecans which was tasty. Our son had the Vanilla Sky with Oreos. My husband had the Cafe Chocolate with reece cups and marshmallows. It is pretty expensive for ice cream however.

They had a lot of neat and creative ice cream ideas that I have never seen before, so I needed a little time to read there menu as I am a rather slow reader. The guy working there kind of rushed me and I wasn't even done reading half the menu. He was litterally like you ready ? You ready what do you want? Being a little rushed ordered their Oreo ice cream rolls. Good ice cream ( not the best, but good). Prices were pretty expensive though. Expect to spend 7.50 to 9.50 per ice cream treat.

Great customer service, every one is so nice, prices are competitive and good for the quality of ice cream you get! The Ice cream is real ice cream, hubby and I got the classic rocky road and was really impressed (we're picky about our RR). My son and I loved the ice cream!!! It was a little hard to order because I had never been there and hadn't experienced rolled ice cream before. Don't be intimidated by the menu. You can change it up or add different candies and things into your ice cream mix.

I got there late Tuesday with my daughter that had a rough day. They had just closed. The owners son was working and he said to come in and he would happily make our ice cream. I was shocked. Who does that these days?! He made our mango rolls and they were amazing. My daughter and I loved them. He was so kind and friendly the whole time. We will be back.

Stopped by for 212's soft opening today and tried their Cheeto ice cream! It was so delicious! I was able to chose from cereals or toppings and mix in's and create my own little creation. I wasn't sure at first how Cheeto ice cream would taste but the little bit of crunch made it delicious. I can't wait to go back and try their 24k gold ice cream once they have their grand opening! Great location, good people, and yummy ice cream. It's a win-win...well minus the waistline.

I’ve come here since you guys opened. The ice cream itself is amazing, and my kids especially love your unique creations (like the Uniquecorn). And you’re always more than accommodating. It’s hard for me to patronize you though. You’re so expensive, especially with Handel’s only a mile up the road. They have $2.50 cones on Tuesdays, and even their double thick shakes are about $7 (compared to your shakes for $9). I understand it’s not the same product, and you guys have the rolls and a broader vegan menu, etc. I’m not putting down your product quality. But I spent more on 3 ice creams tonight than my family’s entire dinner at Barro’s - by a lot. Almost double. Maybe it’s just not a great option for big families, and that’s fine, but we like you guys.

Not only do they have 212 combinations of ice cream and toppings (Takis and ice cream?!) but the customer service is fantastic. The owner was very patient and kind with my kids as they sampled everything under the sun and even gave them a balloon before we left.

The ice cream is really good. But there was only one employee working (we found out later the other employee was dealing with a family emergency). Poor girl had to do all of the orders by herself. Rolling ice cream and mixing things in is tedious. The family before us took about 20 minutes to serve and then we probably took the same, if not longer, for our three orders. If you have the time, I'd recommend it! The staff was super apologetic and courteous.

Like someone else here said, "overwhelmed then underwhelmed." Felt like they didn't know what to offer so they just offer everything and I think they suffer for that in their overall quality. I got a drilled cup for $6.99 and was bummed by the size but super bummed by the quality. Got the midnight moon and it tasted like a generic tub of ice cream from a grocery store. Also wasn't a huge fan that they go into the back to scoop the ice cream. Not a big deal, just wasn't a fan of that. And

I love the vibes and ambience of this place. When I stopped in the plaza to run an errand, I saw their open door and their ice cream shop just looked so cool and enticing. Server was patient and you are also able to sample ice-cream flavors before buying (flavors are listed on the wall by the left of the ice-cream glass serving area). Love how they have many different flavor cones too and in different colors too! Be aware there may be a bit of a wait when they prepare your ice-cream. ... The ice-cream portion size is pretty big. Didn't feel too overly sweet and I was feeling more than full when I finished eating. :) I do hope they bring charcoal ice cream back, would love to come back if they do. :D

Above and Beyond what I was expecting in multiple ways! I came here on a Thursday afternoon with my 2 kids. The guy who helped us was so nice! My daughter went to the bathroom and when we came out he had 2 balloons ready for my 4 year old and 9 month old. He was very patient with us and answered all questions. He took care when creating our ice cream treats and helped with my picky eater. I was blown away! It made our special ice cream outing that much better. The kids loved the balloons and the whole experience. We don't live nearby but I'll be making a trip out in the future just for this place. The ice cream was so yummy too!

Amazing experience. Took the kids to Bosa donuts with my wife and was gifted 4 coupons to 212 by the Male owner. We went a couple days later not sure what to expect. We were slightly overwhelmed with the options, but in a good way, and they were more than happy to explain and give recommendations. They offer delicious vegan flavors, awesome cones, donuts, and ice cream rolls. They have color changing spoons which the kids loved and then the female Owner even came out to ask about our experience and thank us for coming. I was impressed and grateful. Thank you!

This place is always great!! They offer delicious and creative ice cream creations, but you can also get the normal scoop of ice cream in a cone or bowl, as well. Ice cream comes in scoops, drill'd (mixed with toppings), or rolls (thin sheets of ice cream rolled up in a cup). Staff is always friendly and helpful. They offer regular and non-dairy ice cream. Everything I've had so far has been outrageously good. Covid Safety Precautions: On our last visit (late June '21) staff was still wearing masks and gloves, though customers were not required to wear them and tables had returned for in-store dining. They do advertise curbside pickup, but then we called to inquire about it, they advised us that the store was currently empty and we could just come inside. They mentioned the QR code on the door of the shop contained all of the details for curbside.

The prices are on the higher end for dessert and luxury ice cream parlors in Gilbert. Their menu is a bit confusing, but the staff will help you out. This was very good. We've tried other ice cream stores but many of them aren't any better than something that could be bought at the grocery store. This was a nice surprise. And as a bonus, it was a reasonable temperature in the store, not freezing cold as seems so typical. You could actually sit and enjoy the ice cream. We had 6 of the many flavors and they had a lot of flavor. It was what you would expect, not some odd flavor trying to be good. They also have very creative things they can do with the ice cream. We just had the plain scoops of ice cream this time. Would highly recommend.

Friendly environment, as soon as you walk in it’s a colorful explosion of decor to the floor that looks like a jawbreaker!Great for the kids to come in and feel like there in candy land! They have a new option which are the ice cream rolls, they start w a vanilla cream liquid where they then use these little spatulas to mix in any topping, fruit, and instantly freezes! It was good, but it was nothing great. And for just under $10, I was expecting a little bit more. I wish I could rate half stars. I would go 3.5. Again, good but...not great IMHO. My family and I wanted a fancy ice cream treat today and this was perfect. Their menu is probably the most creative one I've ever seen. It was hard to choose but I got the rolled ice cream with Biscoff cookies and toffee drizzle (I think it's called zero degrees). It was exactly what I was hoping for. My husband got a milkshake with vanilla ice cream and hot Cheetos (I'm not sure what it was called). It sounds crazy but he loved it. My 4 year old got a scoop of vegan vanilla on a cookie cone with sprinkles. He loved it too and the owner gave him a sticker and a balloon. The owner was really nice as well. I hope this business does really well here because I want this to be my family's go-to ice cream place in the East Valley for a long time!

Our whole family loves this place! I cannot eat dairy, and they have a ton of vegan options; however, my favorite is the red dragon roll (dragonfruit). The non-dairy texture is amazing—very creamy, unlike many other non-dairy ice creams that are icy and hard. The ownership is also very hands-on and fun to talk to. My boyfriend got the strawberry non dairy soft serve. They were both so creamy and delicious. Came for a late night frozen treat. The staff was friendly and helpful with suggestions for some samples to try. After selecting our flavours came the choice of toppings. I was really surprised to see the topping were not real but imitation flavours. I would expect a more expensive ice cream shop to offer real caramel or raspberry, not a corn syrup derivative. Our ice cream tasted good, but both had frozen ice crytals inside, from melting and being refrozen. Unfortunately, we got ours in cups to go home and could not go back to let them know.

The vegan selection is amazing, and so delicious! I tried the pina colada & Turkish toffee vegan soft serves and both were so creamy and delicious. I also got a dark chocolate vegan scoop in the peppermint waffle cone, it was creamy and decadent. I'm not into toppings but they had a ton including vegan and natural/organic ones. The owner was friendly and helpful, and making sure every child that came in got something special (balloons and Easter eggs with candy). Very impressed and will certainly be spreading the word!

Let me start by saying my wife and I are openly ice cream snobs. We love ice cream but try to avoid the Baskin Robbins-type chains and much prefer to support the local shops. I was heartbroken when Ice Cream Sammies in Chandler closed and this shop has become my absolute favorite in its place. Tina (the owner) has worked hard to create an Ice Cream experience for each and every customer. You can literally have ANYTHING you want in an ice cream creation. My favorite is the signature roll (which you can only get at this location) put inside a warm Bosa donut bowl. The "NYC off duty" is to die for. They are a great family owned shop and we am thrilled they are expanding. If you haven’t given them a try, take my word for it, they’re worth it!

I got: Single scoop of Party Animal with what look like Cadbury mini eggs though I can't be certain about the brand. Party Animal is a very sweet flavor that is purple and white in color. I think chopped up animal crackers are mixed in as well.

Delicious dairy-free, vegan, and refined sugar free (agave, fruit, or Stevia sweetened) flavors. They have about 10 vegan flavors along with 2 keto ones. The Charcoal "black" ice cream is vegan too. It's very lightly sweet and great for mix-ins. They have awesome creations and regular ice cream too, of course! My husband has enjoyed everything he's tried. You can get the ice cream in regular scoops, artfully rolled into "rolls," or "drilled" to make soft serve. My vegan favorite flavors are the charcoal, coconut, and Namaste NYC (vanilla ice cream rolled with strawberries and vegan cheesecake, can also be drilled into soft serve.)
