Reviews of Milkjam Creamery
Taryn Sims
Milkjam
The king of all MPLS ice cream shops. We have tried a few other local places but nothing else compares since Izzy’s shut down. Milkjam has amazing flavors and fun monthly varieties alongside their classics.
My forever go-to ice cream is cereal killers. I have never had something that tastes so accurately like the milk at the end of a bowl of fruity pebbles, but this is it! It also has candy-coated fruity pebbles chunks in it, which are the best part.
You can also get any flavor as a milkshake, which is awesome - although they don’t last as long! They are now offering samples again, too, which is great if you’re unsure of what flavor you want.
Portion sizes are great, and you can split a single scoop into two 1/2 scoops, which is the best way to enjoy multiple flavors.
Matthew Amundson
Some of the most fun and unique ice cream flavors I’ve seen offered—and super delicious (but to be fair, I’m easy to please with ice cream). I got a seasonal apple pie ice cream and a super chocolatey one (forgot the name). I love that you can get samples!
Shivika Singal
Absolutely loved this creamery and specially the Alice flavour inspired by lavender and blackberry and cakey bits. Loved the ambience and seating and super convenient as it is located right by WSK so you can get a munch and desert at the same place. Definitely recommend!!
Evan Decker
In summary, the ice cream was certainly good, but felt a bit overpriced. It ended up being over $20 for four scoops. And it was a bit softer than we expected, almost like soft serve. We tried four flavors (from left to right in the pic):
Hard Knock Life 2.0 - solid, but seemed to be missing fudge and whoppers. It tasted a lot like Ben & Jerry's Chocolate Fudge Brownie.
Bailout - good, I liked this one. The sweet cream ice cream is bomb! I'd get it again.
Gimme Some More - not a ton of marshmallow, but overall a nice spin on the black cocoa ice cream.
Waka Flocka Flakes - unique flavor, the corn flakes were less crunchy than expected and the berry flavor was strong.
Regardless of the price, the flavors are unique and fun enough that we'll be back! (Not to mention, it's connected to one of my favorite places to eat, WSK!)
Nick Koons
The Black ice cream is super good, it tastes like cake/brownie batter. The other flavors are very good too. Nice and creative without being too crazy. Prices are decent, and the employees are friendly and helpful.
Jonathan Flores
Friendly service and a quirky/interesting menu of flavors. I ended up with the Cereal Killer, orange coriander milk w/ candied fruity pebbles, which fantastic. Excited to go back and try more of their creations.
Calvin Lenz
Only been here once but I would certainly go back next time I'm in Minneapolis. I got the Tim Thumb ice cream and it was very tasty. I had to get a pint to bring home too!
Kiki Wang
The ice cream tastes great, I bought five flavors of ice cream. Each one is special and delicious. Especially the pineapple and corn ones, highly recommended!
Pete Blagoev
Stopped in for Friday afternoon treat. Great little ice cream shop with lots of flavor options. The staff was friendly and service was fast. The ice cream was excellent! The only thing I wish there was patio seating, but maybe it's shared with the place next door (World Street Kitchen).
Ashlina Chin
Cute ice cream place with unique flavors! I liked that this place had a private parking behind the building to make it easier to stop in and enjoy some ice cream. I did a split single with Thai tea and milkjam icecream and my sister got a single scoop in a cone. Currently, there is no indoor seating and must take your order to go soppan accordingly.
Julia Janocha
Had the "Ridin' Duurty", similar to cookies and cream with large chunks of peanut butter, and "Hard Knock Life 2.0", rich chocolate with strong cocoa flavor. Both were fresh and delicious with pronounced flavors. The ice cream isn't as rich or creamy as some, especially not compared to Wisconsin frozen custard. They had a few vegan options including "Black", a dark chocolate. I don't usually like vegan ice cream but this was seriously good! Love that they offer a split single size. Prices are a little high but definitely worth the occasional splurge!
Kim Blackmore
Another twin cities Ice cream staple but not my personal favorite! Not that it’s not fun to experience a couple times; there’s a lot of fun, unique flavors and lots of toppings. And they do ice cream cakes! Lots of great dairy free options. Definitely worth the experience!
Maureen A. Johnson
Great quality ice cream! This is my new go-to place for ice cream even though it's a bit of a drive. They have flavors that they carry often and that remain staples in the menu. However, they tend to be a little more unique. In addition to that, they have a monthly theme with 4 flavors that rotate around that theme. We just had one of their ice cream cakes for my son's birthday and it was the best tasting ice cream cake I have ever had. I absolutely recommend this place!
Rae Noling
It's pretty good ice cream. Love that they have options for people with food restrictions and that those options are clearly labeled. Service was good. Inside was pretty crowded.
Anna Davenport
Staff was incredible. So many fun ideas for ice cream, it was hard to choose. It is nice they put creativity in the ICE CREAM and not the toppings (local ice cream shops seem to trend towards a topping focus, silly in my book). May I add the people in line the day I was there were so friendly, I can only assume it was due to the excitement of being there!!!
Beau Geer
Waka-A-Flacka flavor is FINALLY back !!! Go get it before it’s gone again, I’ve been waiting for this as it’s the greatest ice cream ever !
Emma Steffenhagen
While Milkjam is more expensive than getting ice cream at a grocery store, it’s worth it! Unique and delicious flavors abound. I love that they do seasonal flavors. Thai tea is my favorite flavor here.
Alysia Thomas
What a cool little ice cream shop! Super unique flavors along with some more traditional ones if that's what you like. I was thrilled with the many vegan choices there. I look forward to going back and trying other flavors.
Heather Dawn
I have never ever been disappointed with an ice cream selection from Milkjam Creamery. They are absolutely amazing! Love their Young, Scrappy & Hungry w/ Thai Tea.
Corey
I went because I can't eat dairy and they've got a selection of vegan ice creams available. The Black is ABSOLUTELY delicious. T'was quite expensive for ice cream, but was the best vegan ice cream. My partner had regular ice cream and said it was delicious too.
Tim Tackett
We had two the “jam buns” with a chocolate (count chocula?) ice cream, and a pumpkin spice ice cream. The ice cream was good overall, but after the hype I’ve heard about this place we left feeling underwhelmed. Again, the ice cream was good but there much better dessert options in the area.
Dillon Sailer
They have loads of Vegan options, off-the-cuff flavors and your typical classics. Scoops are generous in size, two is a little too much for me! You can also sample and buy a pint to take home.
Heather K
Most of the flavors are great, but a lot fall short as well. I think the consistency of icy texture to creamy is off for my personal palette. On another note: bring back the Pikachu! Dying for some mango chile, the perfect amount of spicy sweet. The best.
Costas Stavrou
If you are looking for a different kind of ice cream look no further. Lot's of different flavors to choose from. One big scoop is $7 dollars but is more than enough to satisfy you.
Rasikanand Harvind
I was told there is always a long line out of this place, but when I went around noon on a Saturday in September, it was pretty empty. Pretty simple place overall. I like how they have some interesting flavors. I tried a Greek yogurt based passionfruit and lychee flavored icecream which was... interesting. Just medley of flavors I was not expecting haha. But its good that they're experimenting.
Emily Stone LandOf10KEats
SO UNIQUE! I’ve never seen such flavors on an ice cream menu before! When we got there, there was a pretty long line, but it went down VERY fast. We even got a great seat. I got the vegan Peanut Butter Banana and it didn’t taste non-dairy at all, it was SO Good. I also tried the one with white chocolate curls, but that is not on the menu anymore. My boyfriend tried the riding dirty one, and I had a bite and it was amazing. We will definitely be coming back!!! The other flavors though are so unique and I can’t wait to try them!
MENU 10/10
ICE CREAM 9/10
ATMOSPHERE 9/10
SERVICE 8/10
SEATING 5/10 (We got a table, but there are only a couple in the building)
Katie Sperling
Amazing vegan options here. I had the toasted coconut. The flavor was so rich and had lots of coarse shaved toasted coconut. Strongly recommend.
Sara J.
I've been here once before and have always been curious about their Black ice cream, so I finally tried it. My instant reaction was "WHY DID I WAIT SO LONG TO TRY THIS????". It's amazing! This chocolate ice cream is so good, there are no words. If you like chocolate, it's the ice cream for you. They have several interesting and out of the norm flavours that are all made onsite. I tried the Black and Hibiscus Lemonade. Both were excellent, but I have tried the Thai Tea as well and that is also good.
Megan Matthew
Milk jam is one of my favorite ice cream places. Many interesting new flavors and safe, consistently good "typical" flavors.
I've heard that there can be long waits, but I didn't have to wait long both times I've been here.
Not much seating, but if the weather is nice you can take a walk around the neighborhood. Just bring some napkins.
Faith Clark
ice cream was pretty good, and fun flavors but very expensive for what you get. also staff was standoffish and didn’t make us feel welcome
Sunkenbodywork
Recommend! I had the cereal killer and black flavors. In a waffle cone. Caramel whip on top! Drool…
Brandon S
This place had a lot of hype and we were told it’s the best ice cream in Minneapolis.
I tried the 4 scoop sample which comes on a nice plate separated so the flavors don’t run together. The location is nice and clean.
The flavors that I got ranged from not very good (I only took about 2 small bites from 2 of the scoops) to decent on the other two flavors.
I don’t think I would return here. I would rather try someone else next time I visit.
Lizzie S
I love all flavors I ordered. Very yummy and smooth. If it's a little bit less sweetness, will be perfect!!
Benjamin Zakaria
Mouse Trap is now my single favorite ice cream flavor of ALL TIME!! This place rocks. Worth a trip to Minneapolis alone. I can't wait to come back and next time I'm leaving with a pint! (Or two!!) Love Milkjam!!!🤍🥛 …
InfiniteGray
What goes into the black flavor ice cream? Pure magic. I’d come here solely for it, as it stays true to the name: it’s the darkest dark chocolate ice cream I’ve ever had (and it’s divine). The peach cobbler is also pretty good.
Evan McLean
The riding duurty ice cream was excellent.the Zenobia was quite tasty as well if you're looking to have a lighter, floral flavor.
Mikaela Maglich
High quality ice cream (black is my favorite, it's very dark chocolate and super rich) and lots of unique flavors. The best thing is their "jam buns" which are ice cream scoops inside of a crispy cream style doughnut.
Neerja Bakshi-Sharma
These guys.
❤️
This has to be one of the best ice cream parlors in Minneapolis.
We visited when they were having their women's month specials and all their flavors were named after prominent women (Zendaya, Oprah, Selena are some I remember, and even Mom) That was already a great start but then when we moved on to flavors. Oh dear.
They have the most eclectic, crazy and fun flavors ever! I had orange and coriander, black tea with condensed milk, churros with cinnamon and coffee and another one which they recommended as a popular flavor - the raspberry sorbet with chocolate chips. All of them were great but the orange coriander and the black tea with milk were the unparalleled best. I've eaten a lot of ice cream in my life and these ice creams we're definitely in my top five experiences.
If you're just in Minneapolis for a bit and are looking for a really cool place to eat - go here! The queues are long but worth it! And when you're done here you can pop on over through the connecting door to World Street Kitchen which has amazing Vegetarian and vegan food!
Kara Mundy
I got a one scoop split, half Milkjam, and half Roasted Vanilla Bean with Caramel Whip. I loved the Milkjam flavor, and Caramel Whip, but did not like the texture of the Roasted Vanilla Bean flavor. Cost about $8 for a little over one scoop of ice cream. There was a huge line and wait to get inside on a Thursday evening. I removed a star for the wait, and one for the flavor I didn’t like.
Love to give it another try, possibly during a slower time.
Diana
Thai tea and the dark chocolate flavors are my absolute favorite. They are super rich though so it is hard to finish a whole scoop. Expect to pay 15-20% service fee automatically added to order
Tj Prall
I honestly feel they have the best ice cream in town and the original, Milkjam is the best! Pictured here is the Liz Lemon Sundae: a lemon cupcake with lemon ice cream with passion fruit sauce and cherry!
*latest update: the Zenobia is baklava with a twist (baklava pieces with almonds & chocolate drizzle in an cardamom infused ice cream. Absolutely amazing if you love baklava! The other scoop, is Black, their chocolate ice cream which is off the wall. Other favorite flavors are Milkjam, PB vs Everybody, and Riding Durty.
Vivian Lee
Ice creamery with some unique flavors. It was good. I forget what flavors we got -_- we got riding dirty and milkjam, pineapple lychee? and I don’t remember the last one. The pineapple lychee was very refreshing for the hot weather.
Tiffany Rupp
Good jams. Great ice cream. Allergic to dairy? Gluten? No problem. Unique flavors that everyone in your party will love.
Kathryn Poirier
The ice cream was delicious but seriously, $8 for 2 scoops is excessive. My friend got the same ice cream as I did, but she was ahead in line. The guy helping her got her AOC (the vanilla scoops in the pictures) out of the cooler up front. The girl helping me got mine from a new container. I didn't think much of it until I realized mine had no malted delights or brown butter Carmel pieces and hers did. We asked if they were the same ice cream or not and the girl who helped me said yes, mine just came from a new container and all the candy pieces fall to the bottom. She literally asked "oh did you want the candy pieces?" Really? Yes that's why I picked that choice. The chocolate Ava Duvernay was good. I wouldn't go back for the price though.
Jake Boxer
The ice cream at Milkjam was a bit pricey as are most gourmet ice cream shops, but the creativity and execution of the flavors was absolutely phenomenal. The ambience was excellent as well and they had street parking right out front as well as a lot just to the north side of the building. I had the ridin duuurty which consisted if Oreo milk ice cream with Oreo chunks, and salted peanut butter chunks. It was absolutely phenomenal. I definitely will be returning to try more. They also had ice cream cake, pies, as well as doughnut ice cream sandwiches from glam doll.
Summer Beichley
I have never had better dairy free ice cream in my entire life!!! They offer so many options for dietary needs which is very hard to find at an ice cream place. 10/10 would recommend to anybody!
Brad Knutson
Went here to specifically try vegan ice cream. The options are clearly labeled and staff knows which ones are vegan. I orders the PB vs Everybody and really really enjoyed it. I'm not sure how they make it, but it's peanut buttery with a hint of banana and chunks of Oreo cookies. So good.
Courtney Faydo
Amazing selection of unique flavors, always smells a bit funky though.. never not had a unique odor but honestly worth it, the ice cream is phenomenal
James Rogers
Order "all of them" and dont look back! 16 scoops to share, or without shame, as a personal food challenge. Great flavors, however , expect a line. Unique ingredients, including vegan options!
Jeff Wozniak
Consistently excellent ice cream, creative flavors, and it's attached to WSK - a great restaurant.
Martika
The vegan ice cream is too notch. Wish there were more flavors more often but it’s still good. Nice employees.
Michael W
Single Split - RIDIN' DUUURTY & TOASTY STRUDY
Full disclosure: I made the mistake of eating the “Ridin’ Duuurty” first so I couldn’t really taste “Toasty Strudy” so I’m only going to review the former.
The salted peanut butter was the center piece balancing out the sweetness of the ice cream as a whole and the chocolatey Oreo milk and Oreo chunks. The combo is salt, sweet, and chocolate just keeps you coming back for another bite until you wished you bought another scope.
Serhat Gezer
Tried mango banana ice cream with chocolate flecks, and it was ok. Fresh waffle cone, but the ice cream texture wasn’t sweet enough for me.
Kelsie Smock
A MUST STOP if you're in the area. One of the best scoops of ice cream I have ever had... and this Wisconsin girl doesn't say that lightly! I had a single scoop cone of the original milk jam flavor which is caramelized goats milk and other condensed milks. It was sweet, and creamy, and delicious. It was hard to choose a flavor because everything one there menu looked delicious! Black chocolate ice cream, champagne ice cream, and ice cream stuffed donuts are a few selections that stood out to me, but they have a variety of delicious treats! If you are stopping by Milk Jam, it can be a bit tricky to find. There is no words on their sign, you'll just have to watch for their logo! It's a cute, small, little location, and there may be a bit of a wait, but it's so worth it!
prerna bhandari
Some ice creams are really nice and unique. What did catch my eye was they use steel spoons for tasting. Big fan of people who produce less waste!
Cassandra Caswell
Cute establishment with unique ice cream selections. I felt the pricing didn't really match the quality and service though.
Marina Duchesneau
Best ice cream joint in the Twin Cities, hands down! The creative flavors, the atmosphere, the service are all 5 stars. Keep in mind, it’s high end ice cream, and you get what you pay for. If you want your traditional ice cream, go to Sebastian Joes. It’s going to be a completely different experience. Milkjam is unique and I also love the fact that they use reusable metal tasting spoons! Classy and reduces waste!! 👏🏻
Evan K
I've been here on a few different occasions and always order too much because it's too good. A nice selection of dairy free ice cream to choose from. Seems like there is a line out the door quite often on nice days. There is seating inside and out. I end up getting a bowl every time I go. Pricing is slightly spendy but quality is high and totally worth it. Employee interaction is hit or miss, some are fun others not so much.
Cathy Strommen
We had great service and fantastic ice cream. I have already recommended Milkjam to my co-workers!
Samantha Cummings
We LOVED it!!! The staff was very friendly and helpful. We sampled a couple flavors before making our choice. Their ice cream is very creamy and well balanced. Love that they have different flavors you don't see everywhere. We got the off menu Jam Bun Royale...so worth it! It's huge so 4 of us split it. The Milkjam ice cream and the Ridin' Duuurty ice cream were both delicious. Loved the peanut butter touch in Ridin'Duuurty as well as the creamy neutrality of Milkjam. The Glam Doll Donut was very soft and delicious perfectly complimenting the ice cream. The cookie in the ice cream sandwich very delicious as well. Highly recommend everything we tried at Milkjam!!
June LaLonde
Amazing flavors, silky smooth ice cream and the honeycomb candy is a must-have topping! Trendy environs as well.
Josh
The staff was welcoming and friendly. The line was out the door as expected but moved quickly. The flavors are original and finally, a place that sells dairy free ice cream. The Black and Coconut were excellent. I didn't care for the Indian Elvis, far too much curry flavor and not enough peanut butter or banana.
Constance Pitts
health ice cream, I thought that was impossible. it probably still is but they do have vegan!
fun stuff here
Jackie Palm
Absolutely delicious! Other people commented on the wait time... the the line was out the door when we were there but it moved very quickly and the ice cream was so delicious it was completely worth it! Service was fast and friendly! Highly recommend!
s pags
You may see a line of 20 people out the door on a sweaty Saturday night. Fret not; you will be eating ice cream within 15 min. or less.
Order a flight of four and share with a friend some truly unique and sumptuous flavours.
Jen Hustedt
The pumpkin gingerbread ice cream was some of the best I have ever had! From the classic flavors to seasonal specialties, Milkjam has a scoop for you. Definitely will be returning to try out new flavors, maybe even a GlamDoll donut ice cream sandwich next time!
Tahsha LePage
Best selection of flavors. Ice cream lovers dream. The line is worth the wait. The champagne flavor requires an ID and it's a boozy one!
Jessica H
Absolutely love this place! If you are an ice cream lover definitely come here, they even have vegan options if you cannot have dairy. This is my second time visiting and it never disappoints!
Rosalía “Rosa”
Fire as heck. Unique taste pallet needs are met for those who are more adventurous. Counter person gave me a compliment which was appreciated. Dope neighborhood too, definitely wanna return soon!
Eric Mistry
I'm seriously addicted to this place. Fantastic ice cream and something for everyone. Plenty of vegan or dairy free options for those who look for that. Very long line, but undeniably worth it. Best ice cream is the Thai ice tea, but try them all!!!
Tuyet Do
Flavors were unusual but it was a hit with majority of them. Because of the descriptions, we were hesitant on getting it since it's more spendy. We had friends from out of state so we decided to go for it. For a party of 6, this fed us nicely, would recommend to do at least once if you have a group!
Tatyana Chernyak
This place always has the best ice cream I tried in twin cities ! The staff are friendly and the vibe is IT!
Todd Jelinski
Not your ordinary ice cream shop. Very different flavors, which makes it all the more intriguing. Absolutely loved it. Great flavors. So many options. Really appreciated the menu being sensitive to gluten and nut allergies as we have kids in our family with both. Made the experience so much more enjoyable for everyone. Ice cream is so rich and creamy. Great treat on a warm spring night. Highly recommend!!
Seamus O'Halloran
Their seasonal flavors are some of the best I've ever had.
Jenny Rilling
Amazing. I'm a huge fan of weird ice cream flavors and Milkjam did not disappoint. Thanks for having some dairy-free flavors for a couple of lactose intolerant family members.
Rafael Estrada Moncada
All their ice cream runs sweet. They did have non dairy options.
Benji Benning
Really tasty stuff! I had the Hard Knock Life and 40 Days in Paradise, with Chocolate fudge, Caramel Whip, and House Honeycomb Candy!
Ty Bowers
Wonderful customer service and fantastic vegan flavors for all to enjoy. Definitely worth the money! Thanks again!
Michael Durante
Incredibly good, the prices were decent, though there was a small selection of flavors.
Jacqui S-S
Probably of the BEST vegan ice cream that I have experienced!!
I got the single split with
Black (the darkest coco)& Toasted Coconut
My husband and I were able to try many flavors until we could make a decision!
Vivek Narayan
There’s great food in general in MN, and I’ve had better ice cream there. I do love their name though!
Isabelle Ku
Awesome ice cream! They have an all of them option (total of 16 scoops), but if you look at the prices, its cheaper to get 4 flights (4 scoops each). We got two flights with toasted coconut, rollin 7's, waka flocka flakes, Uma Thurman, thai tea, black, lychee pineapple, and hibiscus lemonade. All of them were really good except for the hibiscus lemonade. It was VERY sour with lots of lemonade flavor and no hibiscus. The toasted coconut had a very light flavor with some coconut flakes inside. Rollin 7's had a strong passion fruit flavor, very delicious. The lychee pineapple had a strong lychee flavor with a hint of pineapples. The waka flocka flakes was like breakfast: cereal, milk, and fruit. The black was obviously made with black cocoa, sweetened to lower the natural bitterness for more chocolate flavor. Definitely my favorite. The Uma Thurman and thai tea were also very good. Best ice cream ever, and I will be back.
Tristan Klausegger
Stopped in recently on the recommendation of an old friend - his favorite flavor was the Uma. It's light and refreshing, non-dairy, and fruity.
Catherine Im
Great ice cream flavors on location. I tried milkjam, Thai tea, and totally tubular. The donuts for the jam bun are top notch.
Allison Reinke
I got the black and white shake (which is vegan) and it was amazing! Pretty spendy, but worth it for a special treat.
N Suvor
Arrived 10 minutes before opening on a Saturday. By the time the store opened there were 20+ people in line waiting to get in. That was impressive. The flavors had clever names but taste left more to be desired.
Chris Stephens
Unique menu with interesting flavor combinations. Ice cream flavor was good but not the best, and the price is a little high. Definitely worth checking out.
Kelly McCrimmon
Milkjam is cute and small with a bright and welcoming atmosphere. The place fills up fast because there are only a few tables and is connected to World Street Kitchen next door. The flavors are creative and delish - I got Riding Duurty (named "Mom" for Women's History Month) which had big bits of oreo and peanut butter. I give it 4 stars because it's pricey for the size of the scoop you get. If you're coming for an ice cream fix, be ready to pay.
Grace Finger
this is one of my favorite places to go for icecream! they have good non-dairy options and unique flavors. ive tried the black chocolate, zenobia and the ismahan. all were great!! the line always moves fast and the value for the price is pretty decent.
Sruthi Venkataramanababu
We saw this place on our very first day after moving to twin cities. There were about 15-20 people queuing up outside and we were very intrigued.
The next day when we went there, we stood in the queue and only when we finally came out with our ice creams did we come to understand the reason for their popularity. Amazing and never-tasted-before flavor combinations, plenty of vegan options. Just want to keep going back.
Haley Dagenais
My boyfriend and I have tried 6 flavors between the two of us and have enjoyed all! Will be returning to Milkjam at least once a week this summer. They’re really killing the flavor game.
Eric Ziegler
Good flavor, but ice-cream wasn't really creamy.
muke mukerson
Good stuff.
Lil busy.
But so is everything else on a Saturday night.
Gonna try a cake next maybe.
I'll be back
I'm happy
Chris Harrington
Great experience, though standing in line outside the front door for 10 minutes was not fun. Very busy. Lots of cool flavors.
Spencer Hutchins
Goddamn, that ice cream was unique and amazing. Got the jam bun with the PB vs everybody and it was truly indulgent but so good. My friends got the Thai tea, coconut, and waka flocka flake which were also amazing.
Ben Adickes
I've been here twice and loved it both times. The queue is usually long enough to wind its way out the door. The "Black" is amazing, and the Thai Tea flavor was delicious! Compared to all the other flavors, which seemed to be running quite low, the thai tea one looked almost untouched-- either it's so popular they were on a new bucket of it, or it's often overlooked. Regardless, it's a gem!
Update: still as popular as ever, and their rotating flavor selection continues to be on point.
Mic Thomas
Seriously, best ice cream in the twin cities. Black is the best ice cream I've ever had. Half a scoop is more than enough for me.
Brian Singer-Towns
We wanted to try Milkjam after seeing it in an article about the top 40 ice cream places in the US. Didn't quite live up to the reputation. The ice cream was good and their were a number of unique flavors. But the store is quite small and service very slow. Only one person working and he wasn't in a hurry. Be prepared for a wait. Also no place to eat inside.
Thuy K.
The flavors are clean and the combinations inventive. The Saigon coffee with Hennessy is an accurate representation of my young adulthood.
Carmen's Critiques
This is such a quaint place! A very wide range of flavors including Gimme Smore and a Pineapple Sorbet. Very delicious! Vegan friendly options and award winning combos. Not your run of the mill flavors like vanilla, chocolate or strawberry.
Brad Lynch
This joint not only had really good ice cream, but they also had vegan flavors also. Well done!
Matthew Zwilling
Space and seating was a little small but the product is very good. Lots of choices and flavors. Waffle cone leaked a lot but that's pretty typical
Claire Louise Hannapel
Been here many times and they are always jammin to an excellent playlist — it def enhances the experience, not that the ice cream needs it. It’s my fav. I eat it by the pint.
Ana Silva
The newest member in a crowded field of excellent ice cream shops, it shoots right to the top with the best quality ice cream in all categories! Other shops might have better dairy or vegan or gluten free ice cream but none have the best in all three! The only way to improve it would be gluten free cones and lower prices. I recommend the single split to taste the most flavors in the shortest time. Or just go for the hibiscus lemonade. It's vegan and gluten free yet one of their most popular flavors.
Jyun-Syun Li
The pineapple lychee flavor is the best!!!
Missy Miller
The quality of this ice cream was amazing! The flavor selection was on point with so many options to choose from. You really can’t go wrong with any flavor. We tried 4 and the chunks of peanut butter, cookies and fruit were like we have never tasted. Sooooo gooooood! Totally worth the little drive into the city.
J Higgins
Gluten, dairy and soy free options. Great texture, density and flavor. Friendly, supportive staff. :0)
Nikki Watson
Milkjam never disappoints. A bit $$ but it's definitely speciality I've cream. My favorite flavor is Black in a waffle cone!

I went there and there was this absolutely psycho lady complaining that there were women on candles in the store because she thought that Jesus belonged on candles? It was very strange...
Anyways, the workers were very kind and handled it well. I was super impressed. The ice cream was delicious and the girls working were amazing! I will definitely be visiting again soon.
Waleed Ashour
Amazing ice cream! I ordered 10 pints. We had an ice cream party. Everyone loved it. The waffles cones are delicious. I'll be coming back for sure!
Kevin Payne
To die for. Fast friendly service and delicious ice cream flavors & options never fail to please!
Ronan Murray
unique flavors, every time i go i try to get a new flavor and love the variety! the zenobia in particular is probably one of my favorites i’ve ever had from here!!
Laura U
Really disappointed in the valentines day sundae kit. None of the ice creams or toppings went well together, the honeycomb candy tasted burnt, and the ice cream scoop was flimsy. For $45 I expected a much better kit.
Brent Timm
Best ice cream I've ever had. Unreal levels of creaminess.
Nate Martin
Great spot to pick up some ice cream or sorbet and they have a number of vegan options! Try the Pineapple Lychee, Thai Tea, and PB vs Everybody.
Brett Herbers
Some of the best ice cream I've ever had!
CT Neal-Herman
The flavors here are so creative and delicious. This is no simple Baskin Robbins. They have several delicious vegan options as well. I got the Lil Jam scoop, which really helped me to control my portions. We'll definitely be back because so many flavors look good.
Wilted Greens (Wilted Greens)
Only been once, and even though they weren't handing out samples the employee gave me one of the smoked peach before i ordered it. Good thing he did because I went with something else. (It was good but not something I would want a lot of)
Good unique selection. Check it out if you are around.
Nellie
This place is great. Their vegan ice cream is amazing (I got Black, which was this extremely dark cocoa creamy concoction), and their regular dairy ice creams are good too, I've heard. The line is always out the door, so either get there early or go late to get a cone! Right next door is World Street Market, so you can get a bite to eat.
Andrea Z
We were only fans of one of the four flavors we tried here. I found it to be expensive for the amount of ice cream we got.
Ryo Flying
Creative flavors such as avocado & lychee and orange coriander milk. A bit pricey but worth a try.
Amy Leija
I love trying their new flavors and they have some HUGE cones
Jon Gerster
The line was out the door but it was beautiful outside today so it wasn't that bad waiting. The ice cream flavors are very unique and the ice cream is very good. The service is very good as well. There isn't a ton of space to sit in the shop and there's only street parking. The ice cream is a little expensive but again, you're getting high quality ice cream.
gadamsetty sneha
The ice cream flavors are unique and good! I had their spicy mango sorbet and oh my my!! It was so good. Their chocolate is on spot and rich but I know I would go back to the mango sorbet. They have a WFH flavor also lol. Adding this spot to my list of must eats.
Ismael Ramirez (Chay)
Fantastic ice cream place!! Best ice cream shop in the twin cities! 🍨 …
J H
Currently allows free samples for the toasted peach flavor only. Shame that we weren't allowed to try anything else, but did allow me to know that toasted peach was not a flavor I liked. If you like bacon, it is a good flavor though! No actual bacon bits included.
I ended up with a split of pineapple lychee and Thai ice tea. The pineapple lychee was really good!
abbey pattison
Delicious ice cream! They have such a good variety of flavors and they are so unique. You can even get an ice cream sandwich made with a donut and ice cream. I've never had it, but it looks amazing and I've heard good things. It's a small spot and there isn't always available seating so just be prepared to not be able to eat there.
Cathy Bauer
Loved the pineapple lychee. All of the choices made it super hard to decide. Each of us got something different and nobody was disappointed. I can't wait to go back and bring more friends with. Great service. Line out the door moves fast so don't be discouraged if you see one. Wirth the quick wait.
Craig L
Great ice cream. Get a flight of four scoops. I recommend the Poison Apple for it unique flavor and the Milk Jam because it is one of the best flavors I've ever had in an ice cream.
Aaron Sepulveda
Best fresh-churned ice cream in the Cities, by my count. Unique and well composed flavors; I would recommend the Milkjam flavor chief among these - the caramelized cow, goat, and and condensed milk blend has incredible depth and has this incredibly buttery taste.
Prices are comptable to most other shops in the Cities but I think the quality is greater here - though they don't have too many traditional flavors for picky eaters.
Emily Turney
This is a nice ice cream shop to visit. I didn’t give 5 stars because it tends to be a bit pricey, you cannot add in extra toppings and there were not as many vegan flavors as I would have liked. There were about 4 vegan options to choose from and the rest were regular ice cream. Many of the flavors sounded great but I ended up going with one that was a mix of banana, peanut butter and chocolate. It was very good and full of flavor. They let you try the ice cream before choosing a flavor just like any other place and did not seem annoyed when I tried 3 before picking a flavor. They offer an option to use Glam Doll donuts with the ice cream as well, which I’ve heard is amazing but I have not had the chance to try it yet.
Cristal Dominguez
As my husband put it, THIS is what I've dreamt ice cream could taste like!! literally every flavor is amazing! I love bitter chocolate -try the "Marie something of other" , it was the best dark chocolate ice cream! There was a black tea one that was simply the best ice cream every! My kids like classic sweet flavors and they all loved theirs too. Those ice cream sandwiches was mind blowing. Thethe cookie was so crisp. Will def visit again before we leave!
Kristina Paraiso
I came here with a bunch of my girlfriends late at night, and it was still jammed pack. The line was super long which made us curious why people were willing to stand in line for ice cream. Thank goodness we stood in line because it was well worth the wait. They have a lot if vegan options for those of us who are very lactose intolerant. If you enjoy a more mature flavor of chocolate ice cream, I highly recommend the Black ice cream flavor. Overall, lively shop, amazing service, and unforgettable, unique flavors.
Najeem Baysudee
Great selection of unique and delicious ice creams! The space is small, there isn't a lot of room to sit inside comfortably. Beware that the lines can be very long in the afternoon (the ice cream great, so it's not necessarily a terrible problem to have). Definitely worth a try!
Mike C
The flavors are unique and cross the spectrum from rich and chocolatey to bright and fruity. What dropped them from a five to a four star rating was the texture...there were some ice crystals in the signature milkjam flavor that did not belong.
Dustin W
Constantly have unique flavors that keep me going back! Some of the best ice cream you can get in the twin cities period. You are doing yourself a disservice by not coming here sooner! Favorites: PB vs EVERYTHING, Sweet Corn, and just about everything. Prices are a bit higher than I'd like but it's the price you pay for innovation.
Tony Taylor
It's rare to find a creamery that has excellent vegan and dairy-free options. Not only does Milkjam have them, but they are VERY clearly identifiable. While we don't consume alcohol, I think it very cool to have "adult" options as well. Overall, very cool flavors, very nice staff, and a comfortable place to sit and eat the ice cream makes this place a hit!
G
The pineapple lychee with the coconut pandan were divine together. Get them as a split single or a double cone. Mmmm...
Luke Bissell
Our family tried the brown butter pecan, hard knock Life 2.0, Uma, pineapple lychee, and the PRIDE. All were delicious! Pro tip: get a cup along with your cone if you order one. The scoops are generous :-)
Anthony Ross-Sapienza
Try the Black flavor. Hands down best chocolate ice cream I've ever had. The toppings and sundaes are tasty and look fun, but the ice cream can absolutely be enjoyed alone. Bring friends so you can all share each other's flavors. You won't want just one!
Sheryl Haugland
The ice cream is definitely unique, fun and delicious, so I would recommend coming here at least once to try it out. But because of the (always) long lines, high prices and the fact that there's literally no seating, it's a frustrating process to get good ice cream. There are other ice cream places in the Twin Cities with better prices, parking and space to sit that also offer darn good ice cream.
Kiersten Carlson
I know what you are wondering, is it worth the wait? Yes. Their ice cream is vvv good. It's a little pricey but dang is it tasty. Also they have fun flavors that change a lot. Also go next door to world street kitchen too and get a Bangkok burrito. I got the ice cream sandwich one time with the donuts, it was good. But the ice cream is good enough on it's own.
Sam Stokley
Love this place's variety and quality. Incredible ice cream and people. The vanilla is next level. There is a very morose white boy with long hair that works there that saps me of joy everytime we interact though
Time_to_Review
Fantastic options for vegan/lactose free. All of their ice cream is amazing! The lines are long but well worth the wait. 4 stars for the price though, it's VERY expensive. 2 pints or 2 double scooped waffle cones come out to $20.
Christa DeBoer
I love ice cream. But I’m in love with their ice cream. So much that we ordered their ice cream cake for our wedding. We have them full design and they gave us the perfect ice cream cake for our wedding. The 12” was plenty for 50 guest that wanted ice cream. I look forward to coming here as often as I can. Between the vegan and dairy ice cream the variorum of flavors and the fluctuating menu keep me coming back!!!
Elizabeth Ancona
While the ice cream itself was pretty good, the fact that one scoop is smaller than a tennis ball for $3.75 and if you want chocolate fudge you get a tsp of a drizzle for $1. Not worth the $. Glad to have finally stopped by, though not sure what the hype is about! Recommend to try it out and judge for yourself.
Vaishnavi Soundar
I was so psyched when I chanced upon this place! They had such innovative flavors - I especially loved the saffron mango and the thai ice tea ice cream. What I especially loved was that they had great options for vegan and gluten free as well. It's so hard to come across a good vegan ice cream place. And this isn't that inexpensive as well. I'd love to be back again!
Kimberley Pizza
Amazing. Although all ice-cream flavors are not created equal some have different textures and not all flavors are exceptional, just depends on your taste preferences. I love the creativity here. I tried the LSD, lavender, sunflower, dates honey, infused with Indeed beer. It was so creamy and perfectly balanced. I wanted to go back and buy a pint!
Patrick Fuentes
This place does great work. If you can't decide, I recommend the Sundae Special most days
Nate Keller
Ice cream is unique and very satisfying. They had 5 vegan choices when I went! Service was good but when they get busy sometimes some of their staff gets short with customers. Overall it's one of if not the best Ice cream places in MN.
Anna Collins
Great flavors and quality! Great options for dairy free and gluten free as well. They could definitely have a better system for handling the volume of customers. Not necessarily worth the out the door line in the summer. I do appreciate that you can skip the line to grab a pre made pint.
Gabrielle REDACTED
Amazing ice cream!!!! So many unique great flavors!!!!
Kari Peterson
It was okay. Delicious, but overpriced for what you get. Prepare to wait in line too.
Jacqueline Johnston
I love all the vegan flavours, and every time I go (a few weeks apart), they have new flavours. My favourites are Indian Elvis, a peanut curry ice cream. The Black dark chocolate. And the Coconut. Love! They also are a great temperature usually, they don't give me brain freeze or hurt my teeth. The atmosphere is packed and busy usually, so don't hang out there, get ice cream and explore Uptown!
Matthew Holli
Milkjam is a fun little local spot. The icecream is so delicious with 10+ flavors. The price for what you get is spot on!
Dan F
I'm surprised, and it's a bit pricy, but the ice cream is that good. I got "black", vegan cocoa, and it was stellar. They have five other vegan flavors. I'll be back.
There was a line, but we didn't wait too long.
Alexander Santo
Amazing ice cream. I noticed that many of their flavors are gluten free, lactose free or some combination of the two. I went with a group and was able to sample a few different flavors. Each one delivered amazing flavor and texture. It's a little pricey, but perfect for when you want to treat yo'self.
Michael Halbert
Dear Milkjam-
I very much enjoy your establishment and have very much enjoyed almost all of the flavors we have tried. Particularly the Thai Iced Tea.
I do feel like I need to make a public service announcement though that Tangible Dreams as being a contradiction of a ice cream. It has the taste and consistency of a mild mannered house persons homemade soap from a local craft class and should be met with a slight warning of texture and taste. (Lol)
Never the less we enjoyed the toasted coconut tonight and we look forward to coming back.
Thank you,
Mike
Ezra Smith
The best ice cream in the Twin Cities and it’s not even particularly close (especially now that Izzy’s has shuttered).
The Thai Tea is divine. I cannot recommend it enough.
Orrin Dabney
Crazy unique flavors as far as what would be considered ice cream. The staff are very welcoming, and give great service.
There are flavors that will fit nearly every taste.
Everyone loves the jam bun, which too sweet for me, I still have to say that it is amazing.
Betsy L.
Excellent ice cream and unique flavors. It is a little pricey in my opinion but a great treat once in a while if you do not mind paying the price. I love to take guests here as it is a local spot that does have some tasty ice cream.
April Kleindl
Friendly waitstaff, delicious, homemade fresh ice cream. Inventive flavors to die for!
B Yack
Fantastic rotation of delicious ice creams, including amazing Vegan options! You can go simple or go complex, but nonetheless you will enjoy what you eat. This place does get busy so expect a short wait, but it never lasts long. Get to Milkjam soon, you’ll thank me!
Nina Koller
Really great, unique ice cream flavors. I sampled the Thai Tea, which was great, but went with the Turkish Coffee Toffee which was phenomenal. The wait was a little long (about 30 mins on a Sunday at 5pm) but it was worth it.
Don't come here expecting normal, safe ice cream flavors. While I saw a "Extra Virgin Vanilla" flavor listed when I visited, all the other flavors sounded outrageous and awesome. This place is for those of us who want to experience something you can't get at the grocery store or Coldstone.
Del Ahmed
It was good. Not much of a selection compared to other places I've been to. I liked it and maybe would go again but definitely not a first choice place for me. No dine in because of covid right now and not much out door sitting near by. It's more of a grab and go or walk around ice cream kind of place. Overall an okay ice cream shop and glad at least tried it.
Elias Saavedra
The Milkjam flavor is delicious. Creamy, thick and luscious. Highly recommend. Ginger bread flavor tastes like an actual cookie in ice cream form. It's an all around good time, unless you don't like ice cream.
Matt Klava
One of the best ice cream spots in town. Milkjam is connected to the also solid World Street Kitchen. Featuring unique flavors like the tangy Uma Thermon, and creamy Thai Tea. Can't miss spot for anyone with even the smallest sweet tooth
Mark Neilson
The ice cream was good, but not good enough to justify ~$4 per small scoop IMO. The Oreo glitter ball is very good and a good price. The staff was friendly and it looks great. There's plenty of on and off street parking too.
Eddie Saeng
Good flavors but $9 for a double scoop of ice cream is ridiculous especially considering not every employee scoops the same amount. Some barely scoop enough to peak over the edge of the cup.
RIN TR
Mango Chill and Black one re so yummy , I really love it
Rebecca Marion
When I saw this place had under 5 stars on Google Reviews, I knew it was finally time to contribute my high praises. This is hands-down some of the best ice cream I have ever had. I've never gone wrong with any flavor here, but the plain "Milk Jam" ice cream is now one of my top comfort foods. Plus, they have vegan options (which are just as delicious!) Personally, I find the menu easy to understand, the service to be consistently friendly, and the prices to be requisite with the quality. It isn't the place to go if you want a 2 minute wait. There'll be a line, but it's always worth the wait!
Marianne H
Despite the long lines (the workers are fast, the customers take forever though) it very worth it. The ice cream selection is very inclusive, there’s gluten free, nut free, and vegan. There is Ice cream that contains a little alcohol for those of age. The location is in a very nice spot. It is minutes away from uptown and downtown mpls. It’s a great place for the locals.
Adam Helgeson
When we arrived there was a long line to our surprise the line went fast and had ice cream in hand. I liked the waffle cone. They have a fun twist on a variety of flavors. It didn't look like they serve plain flavors like vanilla, chocolate, etc.
Michelle Timme
Great flavor options. This is a popular place so expect to wait in line. Staff does often seem overwhelmed and rushed to get you in and out as fast as possible. Asking to sample more than one flavor will get you an eye roll. Ice cream is worth the wait. Ideally they would work on customer service but its probably not a priority when the businesses is so popular.
Rebecca T.
In my opinion, best ice cream in the twin cities. I used to love Sebastian Joe's but since becoming vegan, I hadn't found vegan ice cream that was up to par. Their vegan ice cream is better than all of the non-vegan options I have had and my friends give equally good reviews for the non-vegan ice cream at milkjam. My first time here, a friend and I walked and ate our ice cream and our conversation centered on how delicious the ice cream was for a solid 10 minutes. Be prepared for a decent wait outdoors or arrive when they open (when they are slower). Highly recommended.
Douglas Gartner
Delicious ice cream and cute place. However the sugar crash was harder than expected.
Leonard Rago (Lenny)
One of the few Ice Cream shops in the Twin Cities that actually does taste premium. Despite that, the line is far too slow for the ultimate product and value. If you can handle the wait at busy times, the ice cream itself is very good and served in unique flavors. Worth the occasional visit.
Ophélie Echelard
The long line is a good indicator of the popularity of this place. Varied and original flavors. When my scoops fell out of my cone two seconds after ordering they replaced my ice cream for free. Great staff
Karolina Kaczor
A little on the pricey side, but the line to get into the place on any warm day speak for itself. They have so many creative flavors to choose from (not to mention vegan options that are not just fruity flavors), and I found it super cool how they temporarily renamed all their flavors in honor of famous women for Women's History Month. Highly recommend trying their darkest cocoa.
Christopher Trom
Good ice cream - some of the best dairy free options that you can find from an ice cream parlor. The lack of a trash can outside for disposing of your spoon is very frustrating as there isn't a meaningful amount of seating available inside. The seating that is available outside is not always kept clean, but overall, the ice cream is good and I have found all my visits here enjoyable.
Sarah Schuler
I was super excited to try it out and was a little let down. My co-workers really loved their donut ice cream sandwiches. I opted for a cone. Lots of interesting flavors to choose from! I picked "Cashew outside" and it was pretty tasty. I would have gotten the smallest size instead of the single scoop as it was very rich. Overall fun place to go!
Joe Cicharz
Cool little place to get ice cream. They have alot of unique flavors there and will add alcohol to them!. Only downside is the seating in there is somewhat uncomfortable and if all of their ice cream has something in it, so you can't get just plain vanilla or chocolate.
Rosa Spark
Very very delicious and creative ice cream! Fair prices for above average sweets ✌🍦 …
ML Hung
“1 of them” scoop size is just perfect for sweet tooth without feeling bad :-)
Isaac Nunez
So good! Such inventive flavors and creative names. You can even get a boozy float!!
Ash Boyd
Loved it! Great vegan options. My only complaint is that I couldn't try the vegan caramel because they were out but that just means I will have to make more trips so I can try it!
Alex Hatzenbuhler
One of the best ice cream spots I've ever been to. They have lots of very unique flavors. I got a Jam Bun with RIDIN' DUUURTY - Oreo milk ice cream w/ Oreo chunks and salted peanut butter between a glazed donut. The line wasn't super long when I went on a Friday afternoon, but I've heard that they can be crazy busy. I highly recommend Milkjam! The restaurant next door is also great.
Madison Grinnell
Amazing selection of unique flavors here! You might need to get two flights... Standouts included Milkjam, Carrot Cake (with cream cheese frosting) and two chocolate flavors including salty components. Parking wasn't bad either and not too far from popular dinner destinations.
Tatiana Pernell
Many vegan options. The icecream is so good and the customer service is good.
Ben Jackson
This is definitely one of the best ice cream shops in Minneapolis. The flavors are intense and interesting and texture very smooth. Docked one star because of the price. Some of the most expensive ice cream in the United States. Pay eight dollars for two scoops.
Courtney Klopfenstein
Our favorite ice cream place in Minnesota! Amazing and quick curbside pickup for covid safety. Awesome and unique flavors. Worth the $ to support local and have a unique experience!
Finn Engelby
So good ❣️ If you like supporting local and you like ice cream, this is the place for you. The staff was helpful and the ice cream is well worth the price. Will be back next time I'm in the cities ❣️❣️❣️
Jennifer Le
Love this place! Prices are fair and the flavors are great. Lines can get long, especially during summer. Flavors do not change often - but all are worth it. Limited seating but they are connected with World Street Kitchen, which is also amazing.
Yassah Mulbah
Last summer our twin sisters took us here for our birthday in June. For not being able to eat ice cream again due to lactose, this was the BEST, and priceless time spent together just eating gf ice cream. THANKS to your wonderful staff for making ice cream fun again, and available to those of us who will NEVER be able to have dairy. Love your cozy spot!! Cereal Killer was my favorite!!!!
Cara Pope
Woah! This icecream is amazing! I tried the Milkjam and the Turkish Coffee Toffee flavors. I loved them both! The flavors are very intense but not too much. There were plenty of ice cream options & tons of toppings or mix ins that you can add. Hands down the best icecream I've ever had. If I lived in Minneapolis, I would be here A LOT! Super worth the wait in line!!
Stephen Kwong
It was a neat experience. Came with a group around 9pm a small lined wrapped outside with about 4 people working in the back. It seemed slow they way they ran their service where it could flow a lot better. I can't tell you what warrants all the other negative reviews. I would say the staff could give off a unhappy feeling. Main group seemed around 20's+ some music and a neat but small atmosphere. There was about 15 - 20 flavors I had a Thai tea half scoop for $3. Which I thought was fine, it tasted alright. But nothing extraordinary for $3. I'll probably stick with Izzy's in Minneapolis next time.
Atmosphere: 4 Crowded, medium level noise uncomfortable seating
Cleanliness: 5 Not bad
Service: 3 Not the right staff or getting late....
Food Quality: 3 unique, but nothing special.
Stars 3.75. Indifferent, wouldn't go out of my way to visit again.
John Teisberg
Awesome unique flavors. Was told that they sometimes get black licorice in. My favorite flavor, and hard to find! They didnt have the doughnuts in stock at the time unfortunately, but gave a big discount on my cone. Thanks!
Emily H
If you're looking for just a normal scoop of cookie dough ice cream, DO NOT go here!
If you're looking for awesome combinations, great ice cream and some weird flavors - DEFINITELY check Milkjam out!!
The black is my personal favorite - a whole lotta flavor and not too sweet!
Tip - there are tables out front, snag one first. Also if you and a friend are willing to share - order a double and ask for an extra bowl!
Brooke Hubert
10/10 experience in every way! Tons of unique flavors but also some of your basics like vanilla or cocoa. Also tons of VEGAN options which I appreciate being very lactose intolerant, I’m hardly ever able to order ice cream out and about, I normally have to settle for pints at grocery stores that are dairy free, this has definitely become one of my favorite places in Minneapolis, they even do alcoholic shakes, honestly just a well rounded unique place! The Aisan food place next door is also a hit! Check them out too!
Nancy R
Loved my dark coco ice cream ( The Notorious R.B.G). The flavor was rich and creamy, just like what you would expect from dark chocolate. The consistency was like brownie batter...very soft and thick. What I loved even more about it is that it doesn't melt quickly. Can't wait to try some other flavors!
Dan Krzykowski
The hype outpaces the quality by a lot, frankly. For the price, it's justifiable to expect a perfect execution. Across the board, every flavor we tried was too sweet. Not just a little. A lot.
Also, texturally, Sebastian Joe's is head and shoulders above what we experienced.
For the money, I am very comfortable saying you're better off at Culver's for a frozen custard.
Skyler Sutherlin
The ice cream is great, the price isn't bad for a single scoop (but the prices are kind of high for the rest of the items). They have vegan ice cream options that are exceptionally good, and the waffle cones are worth the extra money.
Zehra R
The vegan ice cream and shakes are so yummy!! I’m addicted.
Vanessa Chenvert
It's a very small space and it was very busy but, it was so good! We had the Milkjam, Drunk In Love and Cereal Killer. They were all very good. The only problem(or positive depending on how you look at it) is that Drunk In Love was VERY boozy. And the edible flowers did nothing but add an unpleasant bitter flavor. MilkJam was suprisingly refreshing, Cereal Killer was exactly how it sounds. Great staff. Would visit again.
Heidi Morrow
Accommodating yet quick service. Really good variety of flavors and topping. Great for trying something different and unique, if you want standard flavors check elsewhere. I liked the variety of size options. They sell by the pint as well. Cons: Not much seating (small space) and line can get long.
Rich Giusti
Wow.... ROLLIN 7'S (passion fruit and a little bit of luck)... just fricken wow! A great selection of ice cream flavors from just the right amount of choices. It's been a while since having ice cream that truly has a great taste that wasn't just over the top sweet from too much sugar. This oce cream actually had well thought out and measured flavor characteristics.
The temperature was even spot on, the perfect texture for ice cream on a cone with superior lickability. Never really thought much about the amount of ice cream capture per lick until tonight. This experience showed us what an ice cream experience should be.
Definitely going back.... real soon.
Claire Brutocao
Best ice cream in the cities, hands down. We go here every time we make the drive up from Rochester. Consistently creative and delicious flavors, with several vegan options that don't suffer at all in flavor or texture. It's a bit pricey but similar to other artisan ice cream places and reasonable for the quality. There is always a line in the summer months, but it's worth it. The space inside is small, but you can sit next door at World Street Kitchen where there's usually room (connected indoors and same owners). Don't miss the Ridin' Duuurty flavor if they have it!
Jim Horning
WOW!The Mrs saw a story about Milk Jam on Good Morning America and insisted we stop while we were traveling. The staff were really nice and described all of the flavors on our sample platter. If I wasn't diabetic before I got there, I might have been when I left - BUT IT WAS WORTH IT! Awesome!
Reuben Hanson
Milkjam is a must for any ice cream extrodinaire. The menu includes alcoholic beverage mixed with ice cream that I haven't tried yet and they have great cones. Their flavors are impeccable. Yes, it's not cheap... But you get what you're paying for. Unique texture and homemade flavor.
Annie Bedalov
Absolutely the best ice cream in the Twin Cities. They are always changing up flavors and have something for everybody. My favorite flavors are Ridin Durty and Hard Knock Life. Grab a bite at World Street Kitchen before. Check it out during women’s history month when they change the name of the flavors :)
melissa frenzel
Unique flavors, glazed doughnut ice cream sandwich is worth sharing with someone just to try. Lines always seem to be out the door in the summer, would visit again if I was in the neighborhood but wouldn't make a special trip.
Bailey Nickoloff
I love Milkjam. They have such a wide variety of flavors that they rotate often. I love the Jam Bum (a donut ice cream sandwich!), and they occasionally have specials involving waffles or other pastries. While it is a little pricey, this is a great spot to go out for a date, or to treat yourself after a long day’s work.
Chris Hassett
Ridin Durty is a life changing ice cream flavor. Everything else is always great and The rotating monthly flavors always keep it exciting.
Sarabeth M
Superb ice cream. Great selection of fun flavors. Black reminded me a lot of the fondente (dark chocolate) gelato I've had in Italy. Wish there was more space to sit down, that it wasn't quite so pricey, and that there was more parking. If you love trying new ice cream spots around the cities, though, you need to try this place at least once.
Jayson Massa
What can you say about our fav ice cream place in MN? Unique flavors that all are equally fantastic. If I were being super critical, some flavors have noticeable ice crystals, like the original milk jam flavor which is truly the best and most unique “vanilla” you’ll ever have. Must be the base that attributes to that. It’s only a slight flaw. Although the flavors are unique, my daughter can’t get enough of this place since we started going here when she was 2. Couple that with the fact it’s connected to its brother WSK and this is a 5 Star winner.
John Olson
Hands down the best ice cream in all of Minnesota. The perfect consistency and interesting, delicious flavors make this my obvious choice when it comes to ice cream. The scoop of ice cream between a warmed doughnut cut in half is amazing but be warned: you have to eat it QUICKLY. It very quickly begins to melt, and then you have a real mess on your hands (literally).
Jennifer Ponnam
Went to milkjam for the first time today, my husband and I had high expectations based on other reviews. I had the ridin duurty jam bun and my husband had a sundae with milkjam ice cream. They were both pretty good, but nothing that special - a place to try once but I don't think we'll be back. The ice cream isn't worth the time spent waiting in a long line. If you want amazing ice cream, go to Izzys instead!
Gavin Lobefvhyki
Milkjam is my favorite place to get dessert. My partner and I both always get the Black icecream, an extremely dark cocoa vegan icecream. They have a rotating icecream cake flavor that I've enjoyed twice. Yesterday, I thought to get something different and try one of their icecream sandwiches. I was disappointed by the sandwich because of course the icecream wasn't as fresh as getting a scoop, and I expected the cookie to be a crunchy texture. Regardless, I love Milkjam and I can't wait to go back and get my usual.
Alexa Lautenbach
The waffle cones are my favorite. Guess I should mention that the Ice cream is delightful, but more for the people who want something unique/interesting. If you feel like switching up your ice cream flavors - this is the right place to do it.
Lisa Severson
Every minute you have to wait in line is worth it. The best ice cream in town and the most creative and amazing flavors! Vegan and gluten free ice cream as well. Delicious!
Salik Idrees
Delicious ice cream. Small place so expect long lines but the line moves quickly. For chocolate lovers try their Dark chocolate (which looks black) but it has a very good chocolate taste without the bitterness and is not too heavy (hard knock, waka flocka flakes, etc)
Samuel Schneider
Crazy ice cream flavors. Always great and a must stop after dinner!!
Chelsie GawneMark
I was really excited when this first opened. I was one of those people standing in a love around the block in February in Minnesota waiting for ice cream. At first I was very impressed... non-dairy ice cream, NOT sorbet, but ice cream with creative and satisfying flavors and chunks of deliciousness in it too! The black cocoa and the vegan caramel sauce is fantastic. They also had a flavor for us non-dairy peeps called Dude that had chocolate covered potato chips! So. Damn. Good. But then they got lazy. The perineal flavor is PB vs everything--Oreos and bananas... For months, for a year plus as the non-dairy option. Bring back Dude and non sorbet options that will bring dairy eaters over to the non-dairy creaminess. Please.
Gracie C
They had very good ice cream. It's a small place and there ice cream is very good. The only problem was the price and that you couldn't sit down. It was a little spendy for ice cream but it was very delicious.
Emily Belden
I'm from Chicago where Jeni's Ice Cream reigns queen, but I have to say that Milkjam trumped Jeni's for me. This was the best ice cream I've ever had and I'm so glad that I took my friend's recommendation and picked Milkjam (there were about 5 ice cream shops within walking distance of my hotel). The chocolate malt ice cream with fudge brownie was 10/10. Must get in a waffle cone! Also, my favorite thing--no samples. YES, I LOVE THIS. Keep the line moving! There are digital images of the menu items so you have plenty of time in line to decide and you can't go wrong.
Marie
Love that there are vegan options! The flavors are super tasty. They also of gluten free options as well as a champagne sorbet that does include alcohol.
There is quite a long line but it's worth the wait!
Rachel Herr
I cant say enough good things about Milkjam Creamery! I go here every year for my birthday to get a Jambun because I have yet to experience anything else like it in the Twin Cities. It is perfection and anyone who hasn't had one yet is not fully living. The ice cream here is the best I've had and I have never tried a flavor I didn't like. Seriously, this is what dreams are made of!
Tara Tai
This place is sooooo incredible. I hail from New England which I tend to think is the capital of dairy products and ice cream in the U.S. But damn, Milkjam has really crazy interesting and tasty flavors! We got the jam bun, which is a super soft, warm glazed donut served with a scoop of ice cream of your choice in between. We chose the milkjam flavor, which was unbelievably creamy and milky (condensed milk). In addition, we got the black flavor, which was super dark chocolate and basically tasted like if dark chocolate hot fudge were made into a delectable pitch black ice cream. Other incredible flavors included the mango sticky rice and the thai ice tea. I'll definitely be back to try out the other things (adult milkshakes and floats) and flavors they have!
daniel kessler
A really great assortment a fantastic flavors. In addition to 15 or so regular flavors, They have four or five vegan options, least one of which is good enough that non-vegans order it all the time. Seriously, try the black chocolate.
Jennifer Ta
Very refreshing. Uma (greek yogurt w/ lychee) is my fav favor.
Renee Jones
Great ice cream. The flavors are a little weird, but if you are looking for a trendy new place, this is it! My favorite is the riding durty. The line is worth the try. One scoop is filling for a single person.
Wooj C
Very tasty ice cream! Must be popular...Had to wait in the line at 8 PM Sunday! My favorite is LSD, and black. But only 1 scoop at a time, too think and sweet to have 2 scoops at once!
Mary Jean Moreno
Very kind qnd respectful people!
The Uma flavor is awesome.
One scoop was enough for me.
I also loved the ginger drink.
Priscilla P
I would call this a very successful ice cream business as they did a well-done job with the process of the ice cream, it’s texture, and taste. The price of the ice cream is too expensive for my taste (pun intended), however it’s worth giving this place a try as it’s different from all of their competitors amongst the Twin Cities!
james hankins
Very good ice cream and great service, something doesn't feel right about paying $10 for an 12oz. Malt, but for house-made sweets, it's delicious.
Baramee Chindavong
Just say yes to Milkjam. The ice cream is awesome and in so many different flavors. I mean different unique, not really different variety (although, there's that too). And crazy thing, all their flavor combinations work... And getting your fav flavor of ice cream sandwich between two halves of a donut is just a bonus option that's well worth it. If you get a chance, you should try "Poppin' Bottles".
A. B. Stiles
This place has some of the best ice cream I've ever enjoyed. Also nice are the dairy-free options which are surprisingly good, and it's nice that they're there for my lactose intolerant and vegan friends.
Kevin Bergeson
Milkjam was packed! But, the line moved well with friendly service. Tried a sample of Bad Grandpa (fruit and cheescake) which was delicious but opted for a peanut butter chocolate in a waffle cone. Menu was easy to navigate and saw lots of Glam Doll donuts ice cream sandwiches going out the door. The waffle cone was light and crunchy which paired well with the very sweet ice cream. Verging on too sweet. Vibrant flavors; I'd come back!
leo spott
The very best of the formidable twin cities ice cream scene. Truly excellent! My personal favorite is Ridindirty but cereal killer is pretty great. Parking is a little tough but isn’t horrible.
Kelsey Smith
Dynamite! Branched out and got the milkjam flavor w goats milk. Glad I did! I don't recommend getting the fudge sauce on top though, overpowers the ice cream flavor. Love this place
Thomas “Tommy” Olson
Oh my god! The donut ice cream sandwich is stupid good. They take a warm glam doll donut, slice it in half, and put a scoop of your choice in the middle. Since eating this creation, I read poetry, I smile more, and I run for fun.
Chris Mayek
Very unique flavors, enjoyed every one I've tried so far. Pricing needs to be lowered though. Two scoops for $7 is laughable. Parking can be extremely annoying too if it's a busy day.
Kelly Behr
After trying some of the other popular new 'trendy' ice cream parlors in Minneapolis, this one tops it. Great flavors (unique ones as well), and several options for how you want to enjoy them: cone, bowl, donut sandwich, cookie sandwich, etc... Black and Cookie Monster were delicious, but already can't wait to go back for more of their creations!
Justin Sundberg
This was awesome ice cream! I recommend the Hard Knock Life 2.0 if you're a chocolate lover!
It's connected to WSK, too, so you can have some I've cream to cool your mouth off after something spicy!
Matthew Kauffmann
Sooooo good. Lots of creative flavors.
Anthony Loiselle
Ice cream, I mean really, really good ice cream! Tried Uma Thurman and Saigon Nights and both were just ridiculously good. If I lived in Minneapolis I would go there as often as possible. Definitely try it! Don't think twice about it!
Nick Ringsby
Fantastic ice cream shop in the Uptown neighborhood. Inventive and rotating flavors keep you wanting to come back for more. For the adults the offer Champaign and sometimes gin (and yes it really has alcohol in it) flavoreed sorbet. Go at an off h our or be prepared to wait. Lines can get long and seating can be limited on a nice summer day.
Andrew Zoller
Decent ice cream, but not the best in The cities. They always have about 12 flavors on tap, so everyone can be satisfied. Small inside space.
Josh Abell
Holy! Wow. Just wow. Amazing ice cream, but not for those uninterested in stepping off the beaten path. Some of these flavors don't work for me, but others are amazing. Great customer service as well on a Friday afternoon.
Shay Weinschreider
I've been dying to try this place. This year my husband I vowed to try some of these smaller busnisses. So, we went on monday with the kids and really enjoyed our experience. The space is clean. The service was prompt and polite. We tried Dark, Milk Jam, Peach's Castle, and Hard Knock Life. All interesting and unique flavors. We will be back. P.S. Hard Knock Life and Peach were out favs!
Holly Pinkerton
Whoa!!! These flavors and toppings are so great! Violent Skye and Waka Flocka Flakes were the two flavors I tried and loved. I cannot wait to go back! Yum! Parking was better than I anticipated, which is also a win.
Michelle Anderson
It was ok, some good flavors with funny names but I still like grand ole creamery a lot better. They’re both kinda spendy but grand ole has 40 flavors all the time rather than 16, better ice cream imo and I just like the ambience a lot better. It’s a lot less pretentious and laid back
Ethan Stein
Fantastic upscale ice creams. They have inventive flavors that are all done really well. They excel at making flavor mixes that should be really hard (like champagne) and getting a really smooth texture and flavor out of it.
Leo Yu
Probably my favorite ice cream stop ever, and I don't even live in Minnesota. The flavors are so unique and always amazing. Some of my favorites are Thai tea, Uma Thurman, and avocado lychee. Wish they'd open one up here in New York.
Salima Seale
My favorite ice cream! Signature milk is heavenly. They always have gluten free, and vegan options.
Farihah Haque
All the flavors are so unique. I love that they also have vegan options. So far my fav ice cream shop in the city!
Lisa Borneman
Great ice cream and super friendly staff!!
Chase Nelson
Milkjam has many unique choices, I would definitely inquire about the jambun or alcohol added milkshakes when you stop in. Awesome selection of ice cream flavors and none of them being typical is also a plus if you're looking for something new. Highly recommend stopping by if you're in the area.
Adam L
Small shop with wonderfully creative flavors of ice cream. Flavor inclusions feature fruit, cookies, and sweets. Base flavors include traditional ice cream staples as well as inspired flavors you won't find elsewhere. Highly recommend visiting.
William Kirkham
super fun creamery in the city. nice employees and excellent tasting ice cream. i would recommend the peaches castle and milkjam flavors.
A Hendrickson
Fun flavors with plenty of vegan/dairy-free options--that all taste delicious! Price is on par with Izzy's. ($4-5? For a single scoop.) They also have rotating flavors like Izzy's, although not as many.
Andrew Evans
Loved how they had different flavors and different cone options. It's a very popular place.
Mike W
The best ice cream in town ..
Dylan Rickard
Wonderful experience. Definitely recommend it, especially after eating at World Street Kitchen next door!
Isn't the cheapest ice cream in Minneapolis, but it's my new favorite. :)
Farah Ali
My daughter had a dairy sensitivity, and I was deprived of going to ice cream parlors for almost a year until we came to Milkjam. They have a large variety of lactose free, vegan ice cream, and it TASTES GOOD! Absolutely love their jambun!
Robb Wetenkamp
They have decent ice cream, but its pretty hipster and some of the flavors make me wonder if I'm joining a protest movement or getting ice cream. I guess its great if your into no lacrosse vegan creameries. Seems like a contradiction to me.
Jacky Zhao
So many great flavors. My favorite was lychee sorbet and the cereal killer. Their Icecream sandwiches are delicious!
Mel Litts
great ice cream and super cute store, although the pina colada melted super quick.
Teresa Monkkonen
This place is perfect. I only took away one star because everyone else thinks it's perfect too so the line is intense. But, finding parking is usually fine and they have vegan options and everything is tasty.
J Fro
I ordered a gift card and, for whatever reason, it never showed up to my house. I called and an employee set aside a gift card for me to use for when I visited. Great customer service. The ice cream was great, too!
Peter Ortiz
The ice cream was marvelous, the vegan options were wonderful and the setting was very inventive for conversations. I parked my carcass on the stool and was insanely pleased by the whole experience.
Aspen Paigge
Let me start by saying I am kind of a sweets snob. Seriously though OMG!!!!! BEST in the twin cities for sure.
I typically prefer gelato but this ice cream is super fresh the flavors are unique and extremely rich. The flavor combinations appeal to all ages and tastes. There is actually something for everyone and 2 super nice cute guys to serve it up.
Try the grandmas blueberry crumble evv and poppin bottles. They also have ice cream cakes pies bars sandwiches drunken floats and the infamous jam bun.
I have read the other reviews and I have always been able to park rite in front and walk straight in. I will say that uptown does get extremely busy on the weekends and anywhere worth being is not going to be easy to get into.
Tejas Gupte
If the queue was shorter, it would be a 5 star experience. The ice cream is_____(insert your favourite superlative)___. I will definitely go back for the milkjam flavour.
There are vegan options as well.
Ben Theis
Ice cream was actually really good (recommend the cereal killer) but some of the flavors were just too weird. The ice cream was also a little pricey. Overall, I would go back if I was in the area but there are other places that I would rather go.
Mightyry (MightyRy)
Of the top 3 places in Minneapolis that I've been to, this probably the best tasting! Lots of fun and tasty flavors and an amazing waffle cons.
xiaoya yuan
Cute, but a little too sweet for me.
Snow Farmer
Really great ice cream- probably the best in town. However, scoop sizes are tinsy-winsy. You probably get 2/3 the scoop that you’d get at Sebastian Joe’s and 1/2 of what you’d get at a fast food restaurant. I probably will only go back as a gimic for out of town guests. You definitely don’t get your money’s worth.
Josh Barbier
Ice cream in very unique and delicious flavors. Thai tea, "Milkjam" which is made with goat milk, and several others. Some rotating flavors. This is connected to World Street Kitchen which also has amazing food.
Alex Dexheimer
Nice to see an ice cream place with several vegan options on the menu. All of the flavors I tasted were rich and creamy. Definitely my go to place for vegan ice cream in Minneapolis.
Aaron Cerny
Plenty of dietary needs options and the staff are always so friendly and fast!! Great service, great ice cream! Try the floats or shakes- you won’t be disappointed!!
K. Dorsher
This is one unique ice cream shop. The menu changes daily, with classic to exotic flavors there is something to please everyone. They have scoops and cones but also Glam Doll Donut ice cream sandwhiches, alcholic floats and milkshakes. If they have an ice cream labeled as alcholic, they really mean it. They have hard cider, lambic, stout and champagne floats and are always adding new choices. The lack of parking and the chaos of uptown are both very, very worth the trip. Simple signage and easy to miss, is next to WISK.
Sarah Sue
Give me anything thai tea and I'm a happy camper! Tried thai tea flavored ice cream for the first time here and it did not disappoint. Only recommendation is to cut back on the sugar used to make the taste more authentic.
Jamaica Combs
Very friendly staff, but not too many dairy free options
Hardik G
Roasted coconut. Texture was good and creamy, but too much on the sweeter side.
Michelle Billman
Wow! This place is busy! But the service is great even though they've probably given thousands of sample tasters out and I ask for one more. The "black" ice cream is only for chocolate die-hards. The dark chocolate one with Oreos (Ridin' Duurty) is fantastic.
Tikken Grey
Pleasantly surprised with the qualities of their flavors within the ice cream. My current standard 5 star ice creams would be Grand Ole Creamery or Izzies, but this was a bit better.
mausam avlani
Great flavors..Be prepared to stand in a line. They have really good dairy free options...Their passion fruit and lychee ice cream is my all time favorite.
Shealene Wolgast
Cereal killer was SO good!!🍦 …
Tim Myers
Great ice cream, but very spendy.
Jillian Surman
Yum Yum Yum if you're in uptown you must go for ice cream. If you don't have to wait in line you are a winner. You will be carded if you order popping bubbles cuz it's made with champagne and it tastes like it. Delicious!
Luann Earhart
Unique flavors. Loved the corn roast flavor.
Kent Sklarow
I'll preface this by saying the ice cream isn't bad here, but it certainly isn't worth the price after having exceptional ice cream out west (Salt&Straw in Portland, for example). That being said until plane tickets get cheaper I'll be going here. Halle Berry is a good choice.
Annabelle Yoshikawa
Amazing ice cream with fun and unique flavors
Mari Marks
Great ice cream that's not soft serve, but not custard. I have loved every flavor I've tried there. The waka flocka flakes is my favorite. Cashew outside is 5 out of 5 stars, the Black (chocolate) is THE BEST for when you're in a serious mood for chocolate and nothing but that. I even liked the Thai Tea, though I typically don't like tea flavored things. It wasn't too sweet, but has a unique flavor. The Milkjam was a great flavor that's not as boring as plain vanilla. I also had the Amy Klobuchar, which is like girlscout samoa cookies with ice cream, I loved that too!
I can't wait to go back!
Beth Hee
This establishment does not cater to families with young children nor should it. People who like this are not in our demographic and that's great for them. We wouldn't expect this place to change just for our tastes and habits. Alternative flavors, limited seating and long lines do not bode well for youngsters. But neat atmosphere and vibe. If we were young and single we'd also love coming here often.
Julia Sweeney
The ice cream is out of this world! Such unique flavors, everything tastes so good. No wonder there is usually a line out the door on warm nights.
Max Cervantes
Creative ice cream flavors that allow everyone to find something they like. Their specialty flavors will have you questioning how they were able to make such a tasty treat!
Lori T
Great place if you are looking for something innovative
Benjamin Kenneally
Fantastic ice cream. They make very good waffle cones. The ice cream is rich and thick, and they have an excellent mix of simple and decadent flavors. I highly recommend the place.
Des Coups
Soooo amazing! Not like regular ice cream! Wish they still did 2 half scoops (so you can try 2 flavors but not get a huge cone)
Debbie Hjermstad
The ice cream cake ,cones, and glam donut sandwich were all made coconut milk so anyone who is lactose intolerance you can have a treat . Mind you the ice cream melts fast so be ready that's why I chose frozen cake enjoy
Kayla Prusinski
Good ice cream with unique flavors. It's probably best to taste them before making a final choice. The descriptions don't convey the flavors perfectly.
Ben Harste
Love the ice cream here. Great unique flavors! Dairy free options as well, if youre looking for that. Especially good as an ice cream sandwich on cookies!
Shela Usadi
Delicious ice cream with a lot of varieties in the menu. They make ice cream sandwiches with glam doll donuts and boozy shakes. My favorite flavor is their original, the Milkjam.
cellodubin
Love this place. Really original, unique, sometimes vegan ice creams. A bit spendy but a fabulous treat. Good place to bring that family member with the well developed palate when they visit.
Matt Wendt
Wow! I had a double scoop of Bad Grandpa and Ridin Duuurty. My wife had the toasted coconut and raspberry beret. All four flavors were fantastic! Scoop sizes were generous. Expect a waiting line!
John
top tier ice cream in minneapolis! pros/cons:
+riding durty is a popular favorite and for good reason
+waffle cones are among the best texture and flavor
+new flavors rotate in and keep it fresh, but the staples remain
+give the sundaes a try!
-pre made ice cream sandwiches often have freezer burn
-glam doll donut ice cream sandwich is a cool collab but you take a hit on serving size and mode of delivery. go with the waffle cone
caner newton
This place has some good ice cream, only reason I'm giving 4 starts is because they are crazy expensive. 9 dollars for a milkshake is insane but I paid and it was great
River Zhang
Always great flavours. Super busy almost all the time, but worth the wait. It's especially yummy in the middle of winter. Don't know what it is.
Isaiah Grose
Such a great variety of flavors here! I went with my whole family (7 people), and between us we tried almost the whole menu! It was all delicious.
Lisa S
Seriously, best dairy ice cream in the city. Hands down. Safe covid practices, delicious flavors. I don’t live close by, but worth the drive every time.
Regina
Great vegan chocolate ice cream - don’t miss milk
Ryan Bosshart
Milkjam is the real deal. Unfortunately, it's ruined all other ice cream.
Read some of the other reviews. I'd like to point out a couple things:
1. Get the waffle cone or you're fired.
2. No, they don't have a million toppings, you're thinking of Cold Stone.
3. No, it's not dirt cheap, you're thinking of Cub Foods.
Eric Glaubke
Delicious ice cream in a cute shop connected to World Street Kitchen. Lots of interesting flavors like Spicy Pineapple and Thai Iced Tea. Expensive but that is to be expected for ice cream in Minneapolis.
E Thompson
The kids will love it! Adults, too! I recommend the Mexican Hot Chocolate flavor. Yum!
Erin Y
I absolutely love Milkjam, they have unique flavors and fantastic ice cream. The major downside is the constant line wrapping outside, which is just as long as it looks. Don't go here for a quick stop.
Zoe Neale
FUN FLAVORS. YUMMY ICE CREAM.
Line moves pretty quickly, plus it gives you time to mull over your options. Went to a couple other ice cream places in Minneapolis and this was my fave.
shawn hougo
I wish I could give it 10 stars. Great people working there. Some unique flavor combinations. My favorite is the chili and peanut butter ice creme. Insane!!!
Josey Jee
Thai tea ice cream is the best invention in the whole world. I wish I could eat it every single day, even in the winter cuz I still crave ice cream in -20 degree weather like a psycho. Lol
Brittany Sibenaller
Try Violent Skye if you get the chance! I love that they offer booze infused ice cream and shakes. The ice cream is smooth and creamy and I love the waffle cones.
Jeremy Searle
THIS PLACE IS CRAZY. Okay. Imagine a 🍩, but you slice that in half. Now, take some 🍦 and put that in between those two slices. I know what you’re thinking, yes it is a mess, but if you keep it in the little pouch it comes in then you should be fine. I just eat mine fast enough that it can’t make a mess😋 …
Danika Dickerson
Flavors were definitely inventive, but I think it was too expensive for what you get and the customer service was not great. For me it was a one-time visit. Can say that I have been, but not special enough to go again.
Hadi
God damn best ice cream ive had, get something they call "the dark". Wont regret it
mark thomas
Amazing, alwayse delivers. Just wish the cones were packed more with ice cream. Towards the middle I find myself eating mostly cone. Highly recommend the Black ice cream
Kristina Squillace
Best ice cream I'm not hip on vegan foods but this place has the best ice cream love going here
Amal Osman
Mind blowing flavors. I can't stop going back every time I have a chance.
kat h
So so good and different. But it's pricy, more so than Izzy's or Sweet Science and really crowded. There isn't much seating and the line was well out the door both times I've visited. They need a bigger place or a second location.
Robert Deeb
Unique ice cream shop, very busy. I voted 3 stars because I did not like my ice cream. Selection could be larger. Portions are just fine.
Karinne Tarshish
Love this place. Kind of pricey, but worth it. Seriously delicious!!
I just wish they had more seating and a better way o serving more people quickly. Since the line often goes outside, it can be kind of an annoying wait when it's chilly or raining!
Nick Shearer
The best ice cream. Always seems to be something new to try. Also, the adult floats & glam doll donut sandwich mmm. Perfect place to go after dinner next door at WSK!
MC Covey
High quality ice cream with a wide assortment of flavors. Has non-dairy options as well (that are just as good as the real thing). Prices are at a premium, but in the case of Milkjam, you get what you pay for.
Matthew Cruz
They have an ice cream sandwich made with a Glam Doll donut, it is incredible! Definitely worth dropping in and checking out. I have yet to have a bad experience.
Kacie Johnson
Went here after dinner last night .. line was long but worth the wait. Love the flavors & jam buns. Might have to pay a visit to the dentist though.
Karen Severson
What a unique ice cream shop. Their menu is unique and they have a artistic way of displaying their icecream that looks very gourmet. Fun place for a treat.
Shaleen Meyer
Best most inventive flavors in town! Always rotating and coming up with neat special flavors. Top notch ingredients!
Kelsey
Amazing ice cream. Unique flavors worth the price.
Tim Druyos
Good ice cream! Not the best I've had, but definitely worth a visit. Two scoops cost $8, so it is a bit pricey
Cathy Cozad
We make it a point to visit every Feb for their feminist-named ice creams.
Andrew Yarish
Great ice cream, great vibe. People are lining up outside for a reason!
Beezy B
The line was out the door and it was blazing hot outside but it was definitely worth the wait. The peanut butter and chocolate ice cream with cashews was amazing. I highly recommend it.
Dan Zierath
Best ice cream I've ever had. As a chocolate lover I found their "black" flavor amazing, and my girlfriend heartily agreed.
Brian Williams
Some of the most delicious ice cream my family ever ate. Great variety with excellent service.
Maria Palen
I love this place. Thank you for responding and giving me a coupon as well. Best ice cream in Minneapolis♡
Appreciated.
Michael Z
Unique, delicious ice cream and friendly staff! Seating is limited inside, but the ice cream makes it worthwhile
Gavin Prouty
Always an amazing selection of delicous flavors. Also the other options in which to have your icecream, like in a doughnut, is spectacular. A must even in the cold winter
Alex Palomino
Team Milkjam all the way. The peanut butter oreo banana (PB vs everybody) is too good.
Dorottya Szabó
Great ice cream and before your purchase, you can taste them, so you can be sure in your decision. Of course, it's pricey and crowded.
Deepak Kumar
I simply loved the place..lots of variety of ice cream..too many flavors..nice staff and good place to spend sometime with kids and family..enjoy the flavors and this place is also unique and very well recognized !!!
MJH - VII
Great ice cream, the dark chocolate is excellent & the dude that wears the Dad hat gives great portions for 1 scoop, fits well with WSK, wish they had better/more seating
josh king
The wait and staff can be a bit of a pain, but it goes about as good as could be expected considering the tasty treats they sell, and the time it takes to prepare. Go on off hours if you want quick service
Sylvan Zylstra
My favorite ice cream in the Twin Cities. I love the creative flavors and the rotating menu.
meliastokes
Loved the service and the ice cream. Got the hot girl summer shake and loved it! Definitely going back!
Richard Quigley
Wow....the Milkjam flavor of ice cream is fantastic!! Mint was well liked too. Nice staff.
Ani C
Very good ice cream, it’s nice they got vegan options.
A little pricey but worth it
Harlie Lane
Their Milkjam flavor is the creamiest ice cream I've ever had. The sorbet was perfectly icy and tart! Very good.
Kevin Tipton
Amazing Ice Cream!!!!! Friendly & Patient Staff. Always Crowded, but for a good reason. Higher Price but delicious flavor. Overall a Must Visit :)
Nicholas Willette
Milk jam has some of the craziest flavors of ice cream ever I would highly recommend you going here if you haven't been here at least one.
Casey McDermott
Ordered the All of Them Platter and it did not disappoint. Loved every flavor! Bring at least 4-5 friends to share because it is HUGE!
Ralphiepoo
Great vegan ice cream. I'm sure the not vegan ice cream is dope too. Spring for the waffle cone. A great joy for a buck fifty.
Joe Bucci
Very eclectic flavors! A nice change from your typical experience. The line was short because of a storm, but I've heard it's usually out the door.
Jason Hokkanen
Lots of unique flavors to try and an ice cream sandwich with donuts. How can one go wrong? Very nice and helpful staff
Sean N.
Fantastic variety of ice creams and non-dairy options. We tried 4 flavors and were impressed.
Cody Baird
Delicious ice cream! I had the raspberry. A little crowded but that's nice if you like the buzzy atmosphere of downtown.
Bernard Akem (BernardAkem)
Words can't even begin to describe the delicious nature of this place!! Simply go try it out and be speechless like i am after every visit
Katia Hansen
Incredible selection of unique ice creams including vegan options. Wonderful and creative flavor combinations.
Dan
Had a great jam bun with dude ice cream. The glam doll donut was warm and tasty and made the ice cream soft and delicious.
Keegan Duesterhaus
Flavors are all excellent, almost couldn't make a decision! Champagne icecream was highly recommended and I tried some from my friend - would recommend as well
