Reviews of Ethel M Chocolates Factory & Cactus Garden
Nicole Morales
The chocolates here are decadent and the store is clean, organized, and have friendly staff. The cactus garden is breathtaking.
However, hands down, the best part of coming here is doing the Chocolate and Wine Tasting!!! Our Chocolatier was amazing. He kept us entertained, had us laughing, and taught us a lot about tasting chocolate.
This is a must-do if you are looking for something to do off of the strip and away from the casinos on your next Vegas visit.
Krystal Powelson
During Christmas and Valentines Day they cover their 300 specious of plants/cactus with lights! It’s beautiful! We did the wine and chocolate tasting as well. If you want to see the factory in action I recommend going in the morning/day. Our reservation for the wine and chocolate tasting was at 5:30 and there was no active lines going in the factory. They have a cafe and several options to buy.

Really adorable little chocolate shop. Everything is made on site and it's delicious! The cafe is mostly for shakes and sweets, not for a full menu food spot, so come prepared to just eat sweets.
The cactus garden was amazing. And it's free to walk through. Totally a treat when a Vegas vacation can be pretty pricey.
Matt & Kiersten
We absolutely loved visiting the chocolate factory and cactus garden.
The chocolate factory: Walk along the hall to see the chocolate-making happening (though this may be quick if you’re visiting when they’re not actually making chocolates, as we were). Then visit the shop to buy chocolates to take home or other treats to eat there like shakes, cannolis and more. We chose just enough to eat there rather than spend $50+ on chocolates that would just melt in the car.
The cactus garden: stroll along the wide, paved paths to explore so many species of cactus - more than you probably even knew existed. The gardens are shaded enough to get breaks from the Vegas sun.
We left there with bellies full of sugar and favorite species of cactus!

On Sunday, the factory wasn't open but you can still see the machines behind the glass walls, next to the store.
They were hand-dipping strawberries and canolli and brewing fresh coffee as well as selling a large variety of gourmet chocolates.
Outside, the cactus garden was open for self-guided tours.

Love the beautiful holiday Cactus Garden! The lights are really nicely done and wind throughout the plant area. Inside, the store was open and I had some yummy samples while I filled my cart with gifts! I built my own box, got stocking stuffers, and pretty holiday boxes of chocolates and liqueurs. The peanut brittle is one of my favorites because it's crunchy, yet smooth and easy to eat. Plus, they offer military discounts, which is a great bonus!

How fun and surprising. We were looking for a unique pace to wall and we certainly found one. The cactus were all decorated for Xmas and the factory was cool.
The samples provided upon entry were so good we bought TWO bags!
Going back again this week to see the garden with the lights on!
Jim Haynie
Wow this is a nice fine right outside of Vegas. This is a division of Mars and the chocolate is so good like some od the big names you see in malls. The production is small and nice to see how things are made. I suggest the liquor chocolates and these brittle bars are so good.

Great place to visit if you're in the area. We planned a self guided tour which was free. It's definitely not as big as I thought it was going to be. I was expecting a Willy Wonka tour for some reason based on the size of the building...lol.
We wanted to see a 'live' candy factory production, but it was recommended that we call first as production can vary based on their orders.
The best part of the tour was the pecan brittle and fresh chocolate(s). I've never tasted anything so fresh. The pecan brittle was so buttery, fresh and delicious!😋 They gave samples throughout the factory.
Then we took some photos in the cactus garden.🌵
Rate: 4.0 only because we didn't get a chance to see candy being made live.
Kelsey Moody
Absolutely amazing! The chocolate tasting is completely worth it . I have a five and 7-year-old boy and they were so interested in everything they had to say. They learned a lot about chocolate and how it was made. They loved being able to taste the different pieces.
Rebekah Stephens
It is free to visit the factory and cactus garden. It was a nice quick activity with the family on a hot day when we went. The garden is well maintained. The factory is not anything major to look at, you definitely need to catch it on the right day/time to have more to look at. You can lengthen your stay by reading the informational signs that they have up.
All in all not bad, but I would plan a little something extra or pair it with another activity.

Ethel M's "Lights of Love" show is another great experience in Las Vegas. The display is in the Cactus Garden and very eye-pleasing. Enjoy the background music of popular love songs that will have you swaying to the beat or holding hands with our loved one. It's very romantic.
Valentine chocolates can be bought inside the store.
Queen Sam
We absolutely loved visiting the chocolate factory, this was our 1st time.
The chocolate factory Walk along the hall to see the chocolate-making similar to walking through at Krispy Kreme donuts, they were actually making chocolates, lucky us!! We spent $50 on chocolate bars ( peanut butter, white chocolate and caramel, chocolate covered strawberries/ pretzels and 2 chocolate lattes. The chocolate is sooo silky, rich yet creamy, I can’t believe we haven’t purchased her products online prior to our visit. Ice packs are put in your bag, so your chocolate doesn’t melt in the Vegas 110 heat. We will definitely be returning in the future as well as ordering online.
Tania Torres
Always a great experience here! From their chocolate tasting class, to them making their chocolates to their beautiful cactus garden which they decorate during the Holidays :) we went and saw the lights with family for not much money at all, i think we paid about $6 for 4 adults and a baby. We even got to see Santa and get a picture with him. Picture was about $25 for one and that included digital copies. My babygirl loved it!! Many places to get good pictures at. They also had some food trucks but that can get kinda pricey. Thank you for the experience, we will be back next year!

This was our first time here and we came for the Christmas lights. We went with friends and we each had a toddler we were chasing around. The lights were lovely... and the area with the inflatables and food/drinks was nice when it wasn't busy for the kids to run around.
It was a $6 donation for a party of 6 to see the lights, which is a great deal. They also had Santa 🎅 pics (1st time doing Santa pics). No lap sitting, which I am totally ok with. Each Santa pic was $25 which seems a little pricey, but when you consider the fact that they only charge $1/person donation, it's not terrible.
We didn't actually try any chocolate or hot chocolate so I can't speak to that, but we enjoyed the lights.

The Chocolate Shop is very friendly and there are prepackaged assortments of chocolates, or you can build your own 12 or 24 assortments. The adjoining Cactus Garden is worth seeing if you have not been there before. The chocolates themselves are very tasty but also small and very expensive. The 12 Piece box that we created was $35. $2.50 per piece and another $5 just for the box. The 3 box Hawaiian Host chocolate covered macadamia nuts that my wife just purchased at COSTCO were only $15.99 for 42 pieces or 38 cents per piece and are bigger and just as delicious!!
Chris Helvie
This was a fun experience. We got to learn a little history about Ethel M Chocolates. Turns out she is the mother of three Mars candy inventor. The cactus garden outside was fun.
Roshni Patel
Delicious! We stopped by to view the chocolate manufacturing, but they were not producing chocolate. When we walked in, we were given a packaged piece of chocolate which was delicious. The self-guided chocolate tour is a glass window running on the wall between the manufacturing and store with information on the windows. It was interesting to see the equipment used to produce the chocolate. At the end of the tour, we saw employees packaging the finished and cooled chocolate. We were given a sample of the pecan brittle which was tasty but it's even better when it's ground up and added to the milkshake. For $8, you can purchase the Mohave milkshake, and this was so good. I came back at the end of the week to buy another one because it was that good. The store sells various gift sets for the chocolate pieces, truffles, hot chocolate mixes, and more. The cactus garden in the back is also fun to walk around in but drink that milkshake quickly because it melts very fast in the hot Las Vegas heat.
James Jenkins
They have a viewing area and they give out samples 👍 you get to see them processing chocolate or brittle or whatever they're working on, a nice gift shop (pricy) but if you make a purchase they you can get a modest sized insulated tote for your goodies for 2 $, that's s pretty good deal overall. They did up the outside with lights for Christmas and Valentines day and we were there at Valentines day. Very nice, they had a large heart shaped photo op.❤️

We are definitely chocoholics and we were delighted to visit this place. With the mask requirement reinstated, it was tough to breathe in the chocolatey air. But what an amazing place. You can also watch their chocolate making process Even though it was blistering hot, we braved the walk through the most exotic cactus garden I have ever seen. For chocolate lovers, head over to this lovely spot!
LaTasha Bright
They give chocolate samples as you walk through the door. Chocolate to die for. I can say this is the best chocolate hands down. I'm so happy I received the sample because if not I wouldn't have made a purchase. But they did and I did 😊
Chocolate Bar 10 out of 10
Red Velvet Cupcake 8 out of 10
Chocolate Caramel Bar 10 our of 10
Hot chocolate 20 out of 10 (I don't like hot chocolate but drank all theirs)
Chocolate Dipped Marshmallows 9 out of 10
Chocolate Dipped Pretzel Sticks 10 out of 10
Seeing how it's all done was cool also.
Elizabeth Rowe
We had such a great time here even visiting on a Sunday morning. No chocolates were being made but the staff here made it a great experience. Claire was amazing she helped us pick out the chocolates and sample a few. We left with the best box ever. You have to stop and try the hot chocolate. Overall a great trip, cactus garden was nice, it was clean and everyone was beyond helpful. We will come back again if we are ever in Vegas. Worth the trip. Family friendly.
Robert Carver
The truffles and chocolates at Ethel M. are simply delightful and delicious. The prices are as expected considering they're artisan truffles and chocolates. The employees are helpful and cheerful. Wish we could stay longer and see the cactus garden but we didn't have time. This is a place to visit when visiting Las Vegas.
Joshua Montgomery
I absolutely love this place. I signed up online for a Chocolate and Wine Tasting and absolutely love the experience. Chris did a Awesome job with the presentation. I learned quite a bit about the history of Ethel M. I look forward to future visits.
Kain R Heinlein
One of the finest chocolate shops I've been to it was difficult choosing what I wanted but man it did not disappoint regardless of what we chose. We did this in conjunction with the Christmas cactus light show we did that day. Strongly recommend both
Patrick Morgan
Best Hot Chocolate, especially when you take it on a stroll through the cactus garden to look at all the holiday decorations. Holiday tradition!
Michael Youngdeer
Not much to see as far as the candy making was concerned. However, it was late in the day when we went so the candy process was probably done for the day. If you're a nature lover like my wife and I, the cactus garden is a real treat.
Joshua Jones
The staff were all amazing. The in store experience was top notch, presentation, samples, product packaging were all on point. Don't miss the cactus garden outside!!!
I can't give 5 stars because the creme filled chocolates and liquor filled chocolates weren't all that good. The flavors just sort of fell flat. I love all manner of chocolate, just feel like they missed on these ones.
Pecan brittle was mind blowing!
Plain milk & dark were also great too!
marcielle pfeifer
Did the short self guided tour and the employees behind the glass were friendly and playful. Always live to see what goes into the making of goods.
Rachel Medrano
My party did the wine and chocolate tasting and we all enjoyed it a lot. Andy taught us a lot about Ethel M Chocolate Factory history, chocolate, and pairing it with wine. It was awesome to watch them make their products; they were making their one pound snicker's bars when we walked by the window. We then went to the gift shop and Jackie was amazing. She answered our questions about the factory. I definitely walked away with a lot of chocolate.

It was very nice decorated. It was my baby’s first Santa visit and she really enjoyed it and enjoyed her chocolate from Santa. Entry price was not bad but picture with Santa - $25??!! For 1 pix- holy crazy!! I know it’s inflation but $25 for a pix, that’s little too high. But overall good, chilled atmosphere

I signed up for a chocolate tasting event, it is something I have been wanting to do for years and I am so glad I finely attened.
I leaned so much from the class - things I never knew about Ethel M
Side note I agree Chocolate is a fruit ;)
With all the chocolate I have eaten in my life it was so fun to actually experience chocolate. To understand the flavors and how you eat can make such a difference- like putting a salted caramel upside down on your tongue- Salt side down - changed the whole flavor of the candy.
Finding all the flavors that that make up each peice.
I truly enjoyed everything about my day at Ethel M - the walk through the cactus garden was so relaxing - truly a wonderful experience on so many levels
Mina Mart
Not a destination on its own which is why I only gave it 4 stars. I was expecting much more things to do and see for the distance from the strip. The cactus garden is pretty extensive and fun to get little legs moving. The chocolate factory has a nice viewing area and although we didn't get to see any chocolate being made everything looked clean and the staff was super friendly. They gave us a sample upon entering and when looking at purchasing some as well. I was expecting more and I'm sure you would get more if you did the tasting and wine deals. We had little kids with us and were expecting a bit more kid friendly place.
Taylor Lamb (Be Light Candle Co)
My parents used to live in Henderson so I am familiar with going to this lovely place!
It is really worth it. The original location is here which is off the strip, there’s plenty of parking though.
I’d come here first if I could, it seems less crowded than the strip would be!
Really gourmet chocolate, I couldn’t eat any because I can’t eat dairy. But they had great looking chocolates and milk chocolates! If you don’t have to pass on indulging, I wouldn’t!!
JD Offield
Great place, tour and candy! Check out the cactus garden or should I say forest, this place is amazing. This was the only free-be here at the candy factory but it was well worth it and the candy was great too!
Abigale F
Very nice staff and amazing chocolate. Also very beautiful cactus garden.
Sarah Y
While the factory line was inactive on our visit, the employees were friendly and informative. We booked a chocolate tasting and had a great time - we were the only people there so it was like a private session. Delicious! The cactus garden was stunning; I only wish there were more signs describing the plants.
The Traveler
Ultra clean, & very friendly & helpful staff.
There is a walk thru tour & a cactus garden you can walk thru as well. An ice pack is included with your purchase so your candy can survive the Vegas heat until you get back to your destination. A must see if you have a sweet tooth.
Khanhlinh Le Begin
Nice place to stop by you can take a tour inside the factory to see how they make chocolate.
Simon Waddington
The chocolate bar sample was excellent, it's too bad you can sample more of the handmade one but I get it when they cost $2 each or more. Loved the cactus garden even by day, it must be quite the scene in the evening. Great to see their solar garden too - apparently it supplies 100% of their peak power needs
TnT Wallis
I was a Temp in the kitchen at one point during a Holiday Season, Love this place, after seeing how they make everything by hand it made me understand a few things. YES there chocolate is expensive. YES it's worth every penny. Quality hand made at it's best.
Southside Savy
The staff was all so helpful and were so nice to my family. We loved the chocolates we bought!!!
Michalina Homka
The store here is clean and well organized. However what really made my experience at this store was the associate Leslie. She helped me pick out my truffles and while I clumsily spilled hot chocolate on myself and the shelf. She was very personable and kind. 11/10 would recommend
Mary Mertl
Lovely store! Wonderful chocolates! 💖 They were so helpful in there in shipping to a friend! Love the Catcus garden outside too! …
Hung Tam
Very friendly staff, clean factory, free samples, real chocolates for gifts back home. Much different than Hershey Park experience. The free cactus garden has many plants not seen even in big botanical gardens.
LeeAnn Kaneshiro
The cactus light garden is so pretty at night. Beautifully decorated with the flowers, stars, and lights on the cactus. Entrance fee only one dollar and is worth taking the family. You eager to see Santa at the end a get your phots taken
Shannan Muire
This place is wonderful! I really enjoyed walking around the cactus garden, and the chocolate bars I bought in the store were absolutely delicious! I can't wait to go back!
Skye Brock
The cupcakes were gross. Super dry and lacking flavor. The chocolate is great but overpriced. The factory is really cool though and the employees were so nice and the cactus garden was beautiful with Christmas lights.
Ray ReviewsGames
This was such a treat to find! The chocolates were delicious, even compared to the chocolates had in Belgium. The cactus park was very interesting and cool. All the staff were so nice and inftradition. (Thanks Deborah) This will be a new road trip stop traditon.

World class chocolates, best hot chocolate in the world. Outstanding customer service. Everyone is always friendly and knowledgeable about Ethel M's product line. Our visit was the perfect touch to our Valentine's Day.
Be sure to take the chocolate factory tour. They also have a chocolate tasting class.
Roselynn Pila
My first visit with my family here was amazing. It was December, the holidays, so many Christmas decorations. It was really feeling like winter and the holidays. The scent of chocolate in the air and it was crowded with customers and visitors.
mack dockery
This is one of my favorite things to do off the strip in Vegas well Henderson. The cactus garden is amazing such a good time. the chocolate tasting was awesome learned more about chocolate than I wanted to lol. The gift shop was very neat and organized and very clean. The entire experience was fun and it's something to do with the whole family.
Lizz Wolfe
Love the beautiful holiday Cactus Garden! The lights are really nicely done and wind throughout the plant area. Inside, the store was open and I had some yummy samples
Paula Gonzalez
Such a nice way to spend a day and eat chocolate. The employees are super nice and sweet. The chocolate is super yummy. The tour is cute. The garden is so adorably prickly. Over all a nice place to take the family for a little walk.
The price of the candy is a bit high. But they have a happy hour.
Barry Stieb Vegas Real Estate
While the chocolate is expensive...you get what you pay for! Some of the best chocolate around!! Love the experience of coming here to watch them make chocolates from the view of the production floor. PLLLUUUSSSSS the Cactus Garden around Christmas time is simply magic!
Kyle
Very neat factory, but, you really should offer a dairy-free option. You are missing out on a sizeable market. Every year we come for the Christmas garden and check to see if you have any chocolate we can eat. That's money walking out the door each year.
Toya Henry
Did the wine and chocolate tasting. Awesome experience. Chocolate alittle high but worth it
Reed Mooney
The Chocolate is amazing. And the employees are very kind and knowledgeable. Very cool to see them making their products . Highly recommend going. Their is also a very cool cactus garden.
Bernardo Nunez
Awesome cactus garden, it's free! The chocolate factory offers a variety of tasty treats as well (not free).
Greg Lyons
Love the cactus garden, especially during Christmas time. Nice chocolate experience inside the store. Really disappointed they discontinued the Forever Yours chocolate bars.
Zak H
Took My kids to this chocolate factory and they quite an experience. Actually getting to see how chocolate candy is made. The tour was very informative. And at the end to get to sample a few pieces of candy. They also have a self guided tour outside of the local flora. Which my girls also enjoyed. All in all it was a great little experience.
Brian Reynolds
Love their chocolate, love the story of the company's history and love the factory and grounds. Such a fantastic place to visit. There's also a little tour thing, but we got there post-Easter and I guess that's a slow down time. We still grabbed a 16pc Las Vegas tin and filled it with some real beauties. If you've tried them in the airport, make the trip to the headquarters. Enjoy!!
LuisTheBubble
Wonderful place to take your family, it is quite small, so make sure to take your time and explore every bit of it. The cactus garden is amazing and relaxing, especially around Christmas with the lights and music they play. Once inside the actual factory, you're greeted by friendly staff. The tour you see is very small, and you have to be lucky to actually see people working. The store itself is quite nice, although expensive in my opinion. All in all, I will definitely come again, my family and I enjoyed it.
Chris
It was a bummer that the production lines were down at the time of our visit, but we still were able to follow the process by the steps on the windows. The cactus garden made the trip for me. We live on the east coast and I love cactus, so this was a real treat!
Michael Winkler
When you arrive you get a sample of chocolate. What a way to start a free tour. Enjoy the cactus garden for a relaxing walk.
L G
We went to see the holiday lights at the cactus garden and the shop was already closed when we got there but loved the cactus garden! I do want to go back when the chocolate shop is open and watch them make candies and buy some because they look delicious!
Carla Chila
We have lived in Vegas for 6 years and we go every year since then! A couple times each year actually! So beautiful and so many lights! The chocolate and hot chocolate is amazing! A bit pricey but it's worth it! Definitely a must see! Family friendly and lots of photo opportunities!!! A very enjoyable time!
Cait
Stopped in on our way out of Vegas. Very nice renovated facility. When we walked in, we were immediately greeted by a friendly woman (all the staff were kind and helpful throughout our visit) who explained the tour and tasting options. The free self-guided tour is a good place to start and when you get to the end there's a free chocolate coin sample. My personal favorites were the dark chocolate bar and the pecan brittle. Family favorites were the nougat bar and the milk chocolate peanut butter bar. Great place to try if you're looking to get off the strip and explore the city.
Rafael Feliciano
This cactus garden is part of the tour to Ethel M chocolate factory, however, it is one of the most pleasant parts of the visit, very good care, many varieties of cactus and desert flowers, I would have liked to spend more time in the garden enjoying the relaxation of the place, very nice.
James Bradshaw
Beautiful and delicious high end chocolates! You can also watch them being made. They also have a large cactus garden to walk through.
emanuele sottile
This place is amazing. My 4 year old and 11 year old had a blast!!!
Randy Chandra
Nice Chocolate Factory with chocolate making display, and chocolate tasting. There is also a cactus garden in the complex, quite interesting. The prices are quite expensive, but the taste is quite good, and they have some no-sugar chocolates as well.
Trending Tom
Nice place for Christmas lights and tasty chocolates. The Christmas lights walk was free earlier, now they charge $1 per head.
J. Lynn
Delicious chocolate! If you love chocolate and are looking to get away from the strip for a bit then I highly recommend! We didn’t see chocolate being freshly made in the factory but seeing the factory and machines was pretty cool anyways. They give samples in the store (yay!)! If you go in the winter the hot chocolate is really amazing! We went during Christmas time and the lights in the cactus garden were really pretty. There are some kid activities outside with the Christmas lights so it’s definitely more of a kids event but still pretty! I would love to see the cactus garden again during the day next time!
Lyda C.
Easily accessible from the Vegas Strip, free-parking, free admission, wheelchair accessible. Tasting room experience is led by friendly staff. Visitors are able to see process. These are fine chocolates, therefore expect prices accordingly in their store. The cacti trails right outside are a nice short walk and also wheelchair accessible. When tired of the casinos, great place to hang out. Open daily 8 to 8.
Mike Warren
🍫 Self guided factory tour. I'd recommend going on the start of the hour to do the exclusive tasting (in a glass walled private room).
Tour shows factory floor at all stages of chocolate creation, which is really neat! See a selection of confections being made which you can grab in gift store at the tour end - there's a free sample, too!
Ethel M's last name is Mars, and the namesake to Mars Candy. You'll find a few throwback originals to the Mars name in the gift shop. Since they're in the desert, ice packs come with any chocolate order.
After, take the time to enjoy the cactus garden. Only in Vegas 🌵
Ben Smith
We had a great date night with the Valentine's day themed lights. It was easy to set the reservation, plentiful parking and not too crowded walking through the cactus garden. There was a longer line than we were willing to wait in for going inside the shop, but that's due to Covid19 regulations not Ethel M.
tay fritts
Normally if someone says 3.99 for a chocolate dipped strawberry id say they were crazy, but i would come back here to get another one over and over again. They let me sample some pecan brittle and ended up buying a box. The cactus garden that is attached is breath taking. With educational signs and a shady walkway this is the perfect place to come alone on a date or with the whole family. Tours are provided or would could walk through at your leasure
James Devine
Sensational, Delightful, Pretty Christmas lights display. Because of Covid-19 protocols we all had a one way path through the cactus garden. A lot of fun little things to see. Good, clean fun.
Diana & Carlos Higuera
We found this hidden gem close to 8 years ago and we still keep coming back for more brittle. Everytime we come or pass by we try to make sure we make this one of our stops! We officially called it a celebration brittle because whatever it is that we want to celebrate we usually come and buy this pecan brittle 🤤🤤🤤 we live in Los Angeles, California but we don't mind driving for some brittle ❤️ this time we were a bit disappointed with some of the customer service experience though 😢. So we noticed now Ethel M. Chocolates is selling 100% milk n dark chocolate to make into hot chocolate and we wanted to buy a cup of the one they sell already made to try it. At first we weren't sure what they were offering bc we also saw some cupcakes n water so I thought oh maybe it's items from the restaurant so I asked the young girl serving hot chocolate if they had a menu and she was very rude. 😢 This young lady needs to be trained to treat customers with more respect and with patience. For no reason should a worker reply with an attitude and in a very careless way. 😞 So sad to have to include that in my review because we love this place. 💔

When one thinks of Las Vegas, they don't tend to think about a "chocolate factory", but it might surprise people to know that Las Vegas is actually home to one of the greatest chocolate factories on the planet - Ethel M Chocolate Factory. (Even though it's technically located in Henderson, it's basically an honorary Vegas location.)
What makes Ethel M so amazing? Well, firstly, their chocolates are incredible. But secondly, it's more than just a place where chocolate is made. Ethel M hosts classes and events, they have tours, a cafe area to hang out in (complete with free wifi), a huge selection of drinks, candies, and treats, and one of the most impressive cactus gardens you'll ever see. Thus, Ethel M isn't just a chocolate factory, it's also quite an experience as well.
There is a "tasting room" in Ethel M where classes are held, as well as "chocolate and wine" tastings. There is also a self-guided tour of the factory where you can see the various chocolates and treats Ethel M is famous for being made, complete with informational writings on the windows that explain exactly what each room on the tour is responsible for. You can go to the candy store area and sample some of the wide variety of gourmet chocolates on display. Ethel M also offers treats like chocolate covered pretzels, candy apples, cupcakes, and other delights.
Of course, you can get drinks at Ethel M as well, not the least of which is their rich and creamy hot chocolate - a favorite of kids and adults alike. (Also perfect on a cold night!) Ethel M is owned by the Mars company, so their standard for their candies and food is quite high. One need only sample a few of their chocolates to know this place is the real deal.
Plenty of pre-packaged candies are available for sale, but you can also create a candy box to suit your own tastes (or that of a friend/spouse). Ethel M is a great place to get special gifts for loved ones, particularly for Valentine's Day. They also have Golden Knights themed chocolates for locals who love our hockey team. It's also extremely family-friendly and a perfect place to take your kids for a special treat (so long as you don't mind them being cracked-out on sugar, lol).
Ethel M is definitely an off-Strip hidden gem that most tourists to Vegas don't know about. However, locals love it, and often come here to walk through it's huge and beautiful outdoor cactus garden. Nothing is more relaxing than enjoying a hot chocolate outside among the various desert plants. It's really beautiful.
But Ethel M shines brightest (both literally and figuratively) during the holidays, between Thanksgiving and Christmas, when they decorate their cactus garden with Christmas lights. It turns the outdoor area into a dazzling winter wonderland, and it's a must-have experience for locals to go walk through with their children to get into the holiday spirit. Seriously, it's one of the most beautiful things you'll see in Vegas all year.
Though tourists may not know about Ethel M, this place is plenty busy. There's lots of parking nearby, but during the holiday season the lights attract huge crowds making parking fill up quickly, so you'll have to arrive early or risk parking far away and walking to the establishment.
I honestly can't say enough good things about Ethel M Chocolate Factory. It's a wonderful place to hang out and bring visitors to. The treats here won't fail to please your sweet tooth, and it's a must-visit location during the holidays. If you're new to Vegas, or just visiting, be sure to check it out at least once!
Anna
We had a great quick visit today, with an introduction led by the greeter at the chocolate factory and a self guided tour. They were making vanilla satin cremes today at the factory, it was cool to see! All of the chocolates from Ethel Ms I have enjoyed but my favorites so far is the lemon satin creme, raspberry satin creme, the prickly pear satin creme, and all the caramels.
We also went through the cactus garden: I appreciated the labels for all the plants in the garden, it’s just like a botanical park! 3 acres of cactus and desert plant heaven.

A really interesting free tour and beautiful cactus garden! The free tour itself is very short, but considering that it's free and you get two samples it's worth visiting. They also have a chocolate tasting class that provides you with a discount on the store afterwards. The chocolate itself is quite expensive in-store but I suppose it's the price you pay for quality.

My kids love going here from time to time, especially during the Christmas season. We love going through the factory and watching the chocolate being made. They enjoy getting samples, and we buy little treats. It is a fun little trip. We also love the Cactus Garden! When it is Christmas, the lights are soooo much fun!! There is a lot to do here in the winter.
Jason Rigby
Very interesting place! Nice little cactus garden which can be a delight to see on a breezy day. Bonus: Come around near Christmas time to see the cactus garden lit up, and some extra wintertime events. There is also chocolate tasting alongside wine, and you can buy the chocolates here as well. In addition, you can witness the chocolate factory in action and learn about the history behind the company. Overall it is to not be missed during your time in Vegas!
Mariam Greb
Beautiful place to take a quick self guided tour and taste some chocolate! Loved the succulent garden. Gift shop prices for chocolates seemed exorbitant ($3 a bute size piece and $15 for an apple dipped in carmel and chocolate?) but the tour is free. Coffee was good, service was friendly and the chocolate dipped marshmallows were amazing. Recommended.
Lea Monique Yuson
My mom and daughter had fun 😊 The hot chocolate and cookies had always been the best of the best! ❤❤❤ …

Great customer service. Staff was friendly. Ann and Jackie helped us today, thank you ladies. Free samples. Self guided tour of the factory was fast. The Cactus garden next to the factory and store is a bonus. The packaging of Ethel 's chocolate is picturesque.
Gabriela Lara
We've been here every year since 2010 except last year.
My kids love it, it's a simple walk through the lights. It's not too much not too little.
There is a Santa this year. Yay!!
The area where you can drink your hot coco is very relaxing. For now atleast it's only November but they do have cool set ups to take pictures with.
They have great spots to take pictures I from of the lights. The only negative I have to say is you HAVE to make a reservation or you HAVE to "donate" 5 dollars. I didn't mind donating just had to go wait in line for a long time to pay the 5 dollars and my kids were antsy to get in already. Overall great experience my boyfriend works in the factory so it's a fun walk, he explains the way things run to us :)
Rohit Aggarwal
A great place to take kids to see how chocolate is made. The processing area can be seen through glass. There are many flavors of chocolate to try and buy. They will also make custom chocolate for you. There is also a cactus garden outside.

1. The Cactus Garden is amazing! We go every year to see them lit up for Christmas. This year we went to see which cacti were blooming because cacti look awesome when they have flowers on them. We take family and friends every time they visit! The chocolate at the factory is SO GOOD. I am totally in love with their caramels with salt topping. And they are just the right size for when you are on a diet and just need that little bit of chocolate. My other family members are in love with the pecan brittle. Get a shake there with pecan brittle and thank me later! Their regular chocolate bars are also delicious. The only thing we haven't liked is their white chocolate. Otherwise, the place is pretty great!
Valinda Henry
Ethel M is worth the visit when you are visiting Las Vegas. I enjoyed the Cactus garden and they have tasting experiences that you can enjoy as well. Their chocolates are truly perfectly balanced in flavor, creamy, smooth. If you love chocolate, you need to try Ethel M’s.
Paul Vernon
What a great place for a tour and samples. Everything was awesome and we cant wait to go again. Vic in the store had a large amount of knowledge on the products and history. Hopefully you will get to talk to him.
Diane Dobish
The beautiful cactus garden, which is a part of the Ethel M. chocolate factory experience, is a lovely spot for quiet reflection. Inside the shop, it's interesting looking through the glass and watching the little chocolates wind their way down conveyor belts before they're plucked off and put onto paper trays and ultimately boxed for sale and consumption. (Lucy and Ethel were not wrapping chocolate-covered cherries.)
Courtney Tibball
Did the chocolate and wine tasting and everything was delicious. We got the 24piece while we were there but then ended up ordering another 40pieces to be sent home because they were so good! They definitely take care of their customers there because I had a 15% off coupon I forgot to use on my online order and they refunded me the money no problem. Trust me this chocolate is amazing and worth every penny!
Sarah J
The Quality of Product is great and workers are incredibly friendly and accommodating to me entering with my Service Dog. Unfortunately a pet was let into the building in a Regestered Service Dog vest and had no interest in the handler after seeing Oliver. And Under ADA there are no SD registration. we made our way to the Cactus Garden for our safety. But otherwise great experience.
Nancy C
Went there for the tour. The tour is basically a long hall way with glass walls so you can see the production room. Saw some people packaging up the chocolates but nothing was in production. We were disappointed. On the positive side, we picked out some chocolates from the service counter and they were delicious. The lady who helped us was friendly. There were a lot of prepackaged chocolates for purchase too. This place is not worth a visit if the goal is to go for a chocolate factory tour but think of it as going to a chocolate store to buy some chocolate and you won't be disappointed.
Lacey Lavender
This was so much fun! I did the wine and chocolate tasting and my husband and kiddo did the chocolate tasting. Ms. Janet teaching the class was very knowledgeable and super sweet! Such a fun "not normal" Vegas activity! Not to mention, the chocolate was amazing! Highly recommend!
Chris Drescher
Lavish and clean chocolate factory great for any date or occasion with the family and kids, especially during the holidays where there's millions of lights to enjoy in the cactus garden, especially when prices on select chocolate are holiday discount prices. I've had a great night enjoying mocha and chocolate with loved ones. Stay Fancy Ethel M.
Moraima Figueroa
Nice place, good chocolates, outside is perfect for families. I just gave 4 stars because of the prices. I think that to be a chocolate factory the prices are too high. Very expensive chocolates.
Catie Cowden
A group of us attended the wine and chocolate tasting offered by the store. They served 4 chocolates paired with 4 wines. The host was knowledgable and answered all of our questions. Fun way to try out Ethel M chocolates! If you time it right in the winter, you can also visit the cactus garden when it's covered in Christmas lights!
Daiquiri Barringer
A delightful experience. The chocolate tasting class was fun and educational. The cactus garden was beautiful and enchanting. Definitely recommend a visit here.
Charles Corpuz
Fun place to check out the chocolate factory and cactus garden. Depending on when you're there, you might see some of the workers making and packaging chocolates.
andrea camacho
Lovely! We didn’t get to see the chocolate being made which we will be back for, but the staff was so kind, helpful and thorough! We had samples and wow DELICIOUS! We had to build us a bundle to take home and they even included an ice pack for cooling the chocolate in the hot desert sun. I’ll tell you it didn’t make it that far before we gobbled it all down, each flavor leaving us wanting more! We also enjoyed the cactus walk which was so peaceful and calm in a bustling city like Las Vegas! We had a darling date and I can’t wait to be back to get more of that decadent chocolate! Yummmmmmers! Favorite flavors definitely worth trying were that lemon satin, peanut butter chocolate and espresso truffle! Delightful!! Thank you Ethel’s, wonderful to have finally made it to the factory!! Will absolutely be returning :)
Gigi Anderson
So pretty at night with the lights for Christmas! It's a great place to visit anyway since the cactus garden is free, but at night with the lights and the Christmas music it's magical. Plus, you can get a chocolate when you're done!
Liz Rodriguez
Loved this place, great please to go with kiddos. A lot of chocolate ;) go with your stomach empty!!
Leon Loo
This was a fun short tourist stop. We were early so the facilities were not in full swing yet, however seeing all the equipment was interesting. We got to sample a few chocolate medallions which was a bonus. The cactus gardens were nice too! We spent about 30 minutes here on our way to the Hover dam.
Chloe Martins
Even though it was hot, I braved the garden. It was dessert beauty at it's best. After the heat walk, i traveled into the savior of air conditioning. They have a self guided tour, which is short and sweet. There is a Cafe in the chocolate building and a cactus restaurant. I was a happy camper, because if you spent 50 at the time you'd get a free box of chocolates (25 dollar value). Lastly the tall chocolate helper was super nice and helpful.
Psttt... They'll give you ice blocks for your chocolate when you leave.
Eli George
We went here with the kids did the chocolate tasting. It was something cool to do . Watched a video learned about the history of the company and sampled chocolates. Then went to the store and cactus garden. It was 46 dollars for one adult and three kids to do the tasting . Which gave you the class and four pieces of chocolate as well as a bottle of water and certificate. If you just want to go to the store or view the factory through the windows it's free.
Penny Bailey
Wonderful place to see beautiful garden and visit the chocolate factory. Staff was outstanding. Highly recommend. We always take our out of town guests here and they are never disappointed!
lori geuy
LOVE LOVE Ethel M. Chocolates.
The Cactus gardens are beautiful and so peaceful in the morning great little walk
Familie Hong
A bit of a disappointment. Nice touch was a piece of chocolate when we arrived. However, the self-guided tour is basically a walk along a glass window to the production. However, not so much was going on there on a Monday. Chocolate was ok, but quite expensive. Coffee was served in paper cups and as we were there, no iced drinks were available, even though it was 110 outside. They have a stand which makes chocolate covered pretzels made to order.
Richard Burk
Great Outdoor Lighting experience. The inside where they sell all of their Confections is incredible. The chocolates seems overly expensive. The inside was overly crowded.
Nyoka Pondt
Very nice cactus garden. Chocolate amazing. Check times as we went when the factory was at lunch so not much action. Disappointing to hear an employee talking to another in a belittling way... more than once. Had a racist tone. Very clean facility. Would recommend!
N Potter
Great chocolate!! They have very good hand dipped strawberries. They have gift sets or you can buy individual pieces. You should try it out at Christmas because the Christmas lights are so nice! They put out a lot of lights! They even have Santa.
Samuel Alvarez
This place is very nice. The landscape is beautiful. The chocolate is great and im not a big chocolate eater. But man its great
Ryder Doty
Great place to visit while in Vegas! Their chocolates are so tasty and their cactus garden is beautiful, especially if you go during the winter months when they have it lit up!
Adam V
Beautiful cactus farm. Especially during the holiday season when it's all lit up. The chocolates are expensive, but they're high quality. Not like that waxy garbage, Hershey's.
Alexander Sakamoto
I love going to Ethel M!! Great assortment of amazing chocolates!! Feel like I'm in the willy Wonka movie and I got my golden ticket!!
E. T. O.
This was the most cutest thing ever - and it was free to the public. We went on our forst night in Vegas. Upon arriving, you can head directly to the cactus garden without having to enter into the cafe. However, I do recommend goig in and taking a look. The cafe is cute and not very huge. Once inside you were given 3 samples of chocolate - milk, white and dark. Delicious! Then we were able to go on a self guided tour of the chocolate factory. The self guided tour is pretty quick as you aren't in the actual kitchen. Instead you are looking through a huge window into the kitchen; but it's very cool to see the whole process.
Before heading to the cactus garden, my daughter, and I, bought some of their double hot chocolate with whipped cream. Goodness that was the most smoothest hot chocolate we have ever had. Delicious and not overly sweet. We then headed to the cactus garden where Christmas music was playing as you strolled along. It was relaxing and wonderful to take your time, snap some photos and enjoy the spirit of the holidays. Santa was there as well for anyone who wanted to visit him. We really enjoyed this place and the people.
RJ Schieber
I bring my kids here every year for the lighting of the Christmas garden and to see Santa now they have added an ice skating rink if you live in Vegas this is the best thing for lights and Santa. Ethel M also has a tour of the factory hot chocolate and plenty of candy
Norma Lozano
Wonderful Christmas light cactus garden.
Matías Gálvez
Amazing staff and good hot chocolate. Not the cheapest place to buy chocolate but it's good quality.
J Pokakaa
Great place to get candy treats for your chocolate lovers. You can design your own box. The cactus garden is lovely!!
M Aguilar
What a great time we had doing the chocolate tasting experience. It was very educational and Andy was super funny. Chocolates are divine..
Young Cho
Everyone was friendly there. Jacqueline helped us to pick our chocolate for the Valentine's day and she was awesome. Chocolates were very smooth and just melts away in your mouth.
Karen Stevens
Great place with delicious chocolate! Interesting to see how they make their candy..... although the workers weren't making any today we could still see the vats through the windows. Samples were so yummy! Hot chocolate was the best. We really enjoyed the cactus garden. It was very peaceful. Good place to visit and get off the Vegas strip.
Liam Maher
Lovely little cactus garden! I'm glad the chocolate factory was the pull so we could enjoy the real star of the visit. The factory was sadly not much to see, nor to taste. 5 stars for the cacti, 3 for the chocolate, but overall a fun afternoon, good family outing!
Traci Wilson
Loved the Cactus Garden. Brought my family in from out of town, and they loved every minute. (We made reservations a month in advance for Christmas Eve.) Walked through the beautiful lights, then took a self-guided tour of the chocolate factory. Everything -- from the cookies to the hot chocolate -- was absolutely delicious. Worth the time, and was not overly crowded.
Melissa G.
Awesome self-guide tour of the chocolate factory, come early they work in the morning and by the time we got there (about 1:00pm they are cleaning up for the day). They give you a nice sized piece of chocolate when you enter. After the tour and purchasing some chocolate goodies we went outside to the cactus garden. I would recommend coming here just for the Cactus Garden, it was beautiful and the plants are labeled. When we were there it was still decorated for with the Christmas lights, apparently you need a reservation for the light show in the evening but I bet is very pretty.
Chris Bailey
Fantastic visit! Chocolates are delicious, factory has a great story. The cactus gardens are gorgeous! I would prefer then without all the Xmas lights, but I can see how some would like it. A great must see when you have had enough of the strip.
Cat P.
Definitely a must go but you have to book early as already sold out for 2021! Remember next year. It was a wonderful walk through the gardens that are decorated so beautifully with many lights! Ooh and don't forget the very delicious Hot Chocolate! It was actually great to do something in Vegas that didn't cost an arm and a leg, it was $6 up to a party of ten!
Jimmy Casanova
Great place to walk through around Xmas time! My kids love it! This year they ask for a 5$ donation which is well worth it. We are usually here for about 90 minutes. Great place to take family pictures, and pictures with Santa. They give a free chocolate sample, then you can walk through their store, which we always have to buy chocolates! A bit pricy, but for the free display they set up I have no problem spending money their. I go every year!
Emmy Kelley
A beautiful outdoor area, a must see. The chocolate factory was fun and the chocolate was surprisingly very good quality and delicious!
Gae Hirsch
Always a wonderful Christmas treat the gardens were beautifully decorated the visitor was well handled... The free chocolate was just a nice touch.
Howard Cunningham
The chocolate tasting was fun. Really good chocolates and the cactus garden is really interesting
Mark Jaggers
This is a fun place. It was great to learn that this is part of the MARS corporation. I highly suggest the chocolate tasting. It was a lot of fun and very informative. This is a fun place to visit when in Vegas.
Tanya A
I wish I was able to experience the outdoor cactus garden, however it required reservations. The indoor store did not have restrictions which makes me question whether their concern for health and safety is genuine. The chocolate sample was tasty and they had a nice selection of treats.
Hannah Skaanland
We had a great time. The chocolate tasting was totally worth it. Our only disappointment is that the factory wasn't operational. Apparently they close for maintenance a couple weeks every spring.
The kids loved running around in the cactus garden afterwards.
Sherri Pe'a
Love! We did the Cactus Gardens Christmas lights! Really fun and super cool! A great family friendly event. I highly recommend the chocolate family pack! Hot chocolate, chocolate covered marshmallows and a chocolate dipped cookie. Yummy sugar overload.
Jasmine Hughes
Cutest little cactus garden to visit when you’re in Las Vegas and struggling to find things to do. Came here with my boyfriend the day we had our flight as it was an evening flight so we were trying to find things during the day. They have a nice little gift shops full of amazing chocolates and truffles and you can even have a sneak peak inside the factory and see them working their magic making and packing the chocolates!
The cactus gardens were a nice little stroll and super pretty.
AjbWha YT
Nice chocolate factory and garden to explore that is literally free. Chocolates are expensive, but the shop is really nice amd clean.
Wendy Rodriguez
It was my 1st time here and I had such a great experience. Jackie and Janet were so welcoming and even played peek a boo with my 1 year old. Will definitely return!
Penny Aikins
Brought 2 of my grandkids and gave my youngest granddaughter her 1st piece of chocolate she 😍 it. We loved the gardens too. …
Jolie Camerota
I like it I tasted 4 kinds of chocolates my favorite is the strawberry and vanilla creme and we looked at the chocolate fountain
Betsy Meeks
Love as always best ever great place great staff
Margaret Forler
Yummo! Very delectable chocolates. You are given a sample of chocolate as you come in and you stroll passed and you can see the factory of where they make the chocolates, then straight to the retail store. More sample are given out which is a good thing so you are more inclined to buy more! Reasonably priced. Nice little stop on our way to the Hoover Dam.
John Moreno
No better place to visit during the holidays, the cactus garden is decoratd with millions of lights. It's beautiful and it's free, lots of free parking too. The candy is pricey and delicious, on par with Godiva.
James
Ethel M's is a fun factory tour that is reminiscent of a classic "I Love Lucy" episode in a totally good way. The chocolates are good but, the real treat is the cactus garden (which I understand is even better with Christmas decorations). Worth a detour on any trip to Las Vegas.
Momo
Nice tour of the chocolate factory and cactus garden
Donna Frei
What a wonderful time we had eating some chocolate and see the beautiful lights on display for the season
Zena Lee
Whenever I'm in town I always stop here Ethel M chocolates is the best their Pecan brittle. Is the best I've ever tasted in my life. I can only get it in Vegas so the minute I come home that's where I stop.
Michele Mathurin
Ethel Chocolates friendly, relaxed and helpful staff. Chocolate to suit everyones taste. Do not leave without seeing their fabulous cactus garden . I would recommend this for anyone looking for something different and off the Vegas strip
Maria Arteaga
Beautiful cactus garden and delicious chocolate!
Danica Wright
Delicious! We did the Chocolate Tasting Experience with Chris. It was very informative, fun and very tasty! Thanks for a fun hour
N C.
Came here for the holiday lights. It was very pretty and it was a good 20ish minute walk to get through the entire place. Got some chocolate to go, which tasted delicious. Highly recommended to stop by during Christmas. The tickets were very reasonably priced, I believe $6/person when I went.
tonya533
The building and attached garden were beautifully designed and decorated. The chocolate tasting we enjoyed was very informative and we spent WAY too much in the chocolate shop. 🥰 The customer service was outstanding. I highly recommend you go see this amazing place. …
Melissa Martinez
Cute place. 2 dollars a chocolate is a little steep though. The cactus garden is really pretty.
Aaron Hysom
Every since I was a kid, this place is the best! If you cant get here, place an online order! It was alot nicer back in the day before they M&M-d everything! Now its hit or miss on poor service, factory tours or even friendly servers, especially in these..."difficult times"..Still the best boxed chocolates in the USA! Online ordering has good service and a nice website, in my experience.
Christine Scheuerman
Our first time there. We loved seeing the Christmas lights.
Zenia Arciniega
The botanical gardens are a wonderful place to spend an afternoon, and the chocolate is unmatched! Overall, a great activity that anyone can enjoy.
Jacquie Taborda
We did the chocolate wine tasting. It was very interesting, lots of fun facts!! The flavors were incredible! Would definitely recommend to others.
Jamie Roark
Chocolate tasting was nice experience. Lots of cremes... if that's your thing. The cactus gardens are neat.
Joseph Carey
Delicious chocolates that border on works of art! The staff was extremely friendly and gave several very appreciated free samples! The coffee is wonderfully rich and has a terrific mouth feel! 😋 …
Scott
Enjoyable chocolate factory (part of the Mars family), with in-depth tastings, self-guided tour, and small gift shop/cafe. Reason for the 4 stars is due to the cost. A single piece of candy will run you more than $2! We did love the large cactus garden outside, perfect for a quick stroll though a variety of cactus species. Nice escape for those traveling to Vegas.
Clay Anderson
Magical family activity to do. Go watch them make the chocolate, sample their offerings, have a cup of double hot chocolate, check out the amazing cactus garden! Visit between thanksgiving and new years to see it covered in one million xmas lights! So Much Fun!
skymonkey30
The cactus garden outside is very nice, the chocolate is delicious but the prices are just outrageously over priced. A chocolate covered strawberry is $5 each. That's insane! You can get chocolate covered strawberries that taste almost as good much cheaper elsewhere. I would have given this place 5 stars but the prices are just way too much.
Mrandmrs M
The staff are super friendly! It was fun walking by the factory. Workers there waved to my kids and made them feel welcome! We each got a sample of chocolate (individually wrapped, of course). The walk through the botanical garden was peaceful and educational. The store had delicious chocolaty goodness such as chocolate-covered strawberries, chocolate-covered pretzels, and brownies. They sell boxes of chocolate, individual pieces, and even t-shirts. We enjoyed visiting!
Andrew L
Lovely staff, delicious chocolate, and a very scenic cactus garden! Highly recommend a visit. (Chocolate is a bit pricey, but it's worth it!)
jake seagle
Beautiful cactus garden! We also love the chocolate! The employees are always very friendly and helpful. The chocolate is absolutely amazing, some of the best we've ever had, and definitely worth the price tag. There's nothing wrong with a Snickers, but this stuff is next level amazing.
Richard Rogers
Unfortunately the factory is under going a major revovation so the tour was not available. Also in the cactus garden they were painting the sidewalks so a portion of the garden wasn't available. Good chocolate though.
Lilach Yaary
Fun place for all family
Chris Carroll
Nicely designed. Unfortunately no chocolate for lactose intolerant folk. Good thing is there's a nice cactus garden right next to it outside.
Kim
Four stars because the gardens were beautiful and some of the candy was pretty good. I've had better.
Debbie Richards
Fun tasting class and visit. After seeing the price of their amazing chocolates, the tasting tour is actually a great deal. We got to sample some flavors that I wouldn't have tried otherwise. The chocolates are divine and employees are delightful. The Prickly Pear Cactus Chocolate is my fav. The cactus garden is a true gem. We really enjoyed this Vegas diversion!
Liisa Delgado
So beautiful...love that you need reservations, way less crowded!!!!
Laura Snow
Quality product, friendly and knowledgable staff. They offer tastings, tours, and you can walk among 300 cactus and succulents.
Cathy M
The cactus garden was quite large and very interesting. They were decorating for Christmas. Best viewed in the twilight hours. We were there at 10AM. Disappointed that the factory was not operational. A view people were packing but that was it. They did not have tastings but that could have been due to COVID-19. We did get a sample as we entered.
Wendy Delia
We had an amazing time! Donna made our visit EXCEPTIONAL ❤️ I would have tipped her $100 for the service provided but she said that she's not allowed. I will 100% be coming back, all because of Donna! Again EXCEPTIONAL service.
Marleen Sansoucie
I love coming here. We are enjoying Easter Day 2019. Good chocolates and good vibes for kids, live animals, and beautiful plants.
Wilson Tse
Most taste these delicious chocolate😋 and see this beautiful Cactus Garden. …

Something that you don't see every day, Chocolate tasting, walk around the cactus garden, but once it get dark those cactus transformed into a fantastic light show
Timothy Yan
Fun place to visit, yummy samplers and beautiful Cactus Garden right outside of the store.
dana demore
Neat place to visit! Great selection of chocolates! The milkshakes are to die for. Staff was friendly and helpful. Awesome cactus garden. A real Vegas treat!
Kris Wreth
We absolutely loved visiting the chocolate factory and cactus garden.
Bryan Bross
Very nice people and excellent chocolates. We love the cactus garden out front where you can see a wide variety of cacti.
Iris Gray
Love this place! Their chocolate is amazing, and the kids always love the tour. When it's not so hot out the cactus garden is lovely to walk through. I could spend a few hours here!
Cindy

Love the samples. Great people. The gardens are fantastic.
Jenn B.
Love stopping here when we come to Vegas. The staff is always amazing and the sea salt caramels are to die for. We always check the cactus garden out as well.
Mike Searle
This place is so cool. Great for the family all ages you can see them make chocolate get samples taste classes. Christmas time is the best. Lights lights and more lights. They even have lights for Valentine's so cool . They donate money from on line reservation for are community just amazing.
Ishmael Dakiyai
Ethel Chocolates Factory was pretty cool. Milk chocolate was very good. I don't eat a lot of different chocolate but it was nice to see a variety of fresh chocolate all in one place. My wife loves it.
Shelly Duncan
Hot chocolate bar was awesome. So were the "lights of love"
Mallory Savage
The garden itself was really pretty and, of course, the chocolate delicious. I’m only giving it 3 out of 5 though because the employee selling us chocolate told my fiancé he couldn’t purchase any of the chocolates containing liqueur but he could ask his mom (apparently me) if I could get them instead. When we both balked and told her we were both near our 30s she skeptically said to me “YOU are 30?” I’m actually 27. And I feel terrible about myself now. So yeah.
Jodi Cload
We've gone twice and both times we were treated like friends and family. The chocolate here is amazing, so is the cactus garden.
The staff here obviously love what there doing and it shows. They are excited to help and tell you neat things about the factory. Which I wont ruin! You should ask!! Its neat! :)
I'm excited to go back.
Brooke Thiessen
My FAVORITE place in Las Vegas, we go every time we are in town, the cactus garden is gorgeous and the chocolate is the best! There are the sweetest people working, as well!
Kevin Hernandez
We found Ethel M through attractions lists on Trip Advisor and it was a nice break from the Strip action. We did the regular tasting that lasted about 45-minutes; most of it is history about the Ethel M and how chocolate is sourced/made. It's about 20 minutes of actual tasting and it's only 4 chocolates you get to taste. For $20, not bad - the wine tasting along with chocolate is a bit more expensive if you want to try that.
The store itself offers chocolate bags/boxes or make your own boxes basically to take home; milkshakes and ice cream are also offered and when we were there, we got to see some of the assembly within their factor from the glass windows in the store.
Good stop, don't expect a Hershey Factory type visit.
Gavin O
Had some fun times out here! Great spot to grab some chocolate and feel like Lucy or Charlie(if you’re old enough to remember that)!
Michelle Malik
We went to see the holiday lights at the cactus garden. It was well set up with appointment times. Everyone kept to their groups and social distanced. The lights were beautiful and the gift shop was less crowded. I actually spent more money than normal because I was able to look around. It was nice to still be able to carry on this tradition even with the restrictions of 2020.
Ama Zon
Their candy is delicious and I love their cactus garden exceptionally when the Christmas lights are up
Thomas Hayward
Wonderful tour, friendly staff, able to explain all about the chocolate and Factory. Great garden walk outside
Mike Lehman
Chocolate with liquor inside.
What more useful needed.
Beautiful cactus garden outside
Virginia Clark
Awesome!! Making a reservation ahead of time made is so nice! And plenty of social distancing. Lights were beautuful! My Prince enjoyed it 😍 …
Curtis Steadman
Great place for those who have a sweet tooth for chocolate. Free tour and sample even. If it's not too hot outside take a tour of the cactus gardens.
Ken and Alicia Lund
Great place to bring children for the factory tour, especially during the Christmas season when they have the grounds decorate with lights.
Tom Hay Bauer
We visited here at the recommendation of a friend, and we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves at the special tasting of paired wines and chocolates. The docent who led the session was quite a bit of fun and a fountain of good knowledge. The self-guided tour offered the opportunity to see a few of the chocolate goodies being made behind the glass windows, and the gift shop has good deals on their product which are probably not available elsewhere. We were able to pick up some dark chocolate coins at half price because they weren't as shiny as they should have been. Funny thing is they taste really yummy just the same. We also picked up a couple of very nice valentine heart assortments, which were also half price. I suspect a good time to visit is immediately after any chocolate-oriented holiday.

Visited on my last day in Vegas and I’m glad I did or I would have gone back to buy too many. The staff were smiling and helpful the whole time we were there. The knowledgeable lady behind the counter patiently helped us with our choices, because there’s such a wide variety. We bought the design your own chocolate box and we must have picked the best flavors because all of them were amazingly tasty. I never knew chocolate could taste so good. If you’re not sure about going, just do it. We got free chocolate at the door, a look at where all the chocolates are made, we got to see the store and buy some too & then the exit leads you to their garden where you can take a stroll outside. Hope you get to visit you will enjoy it.
Abby Nicholson
My husband and I were visiting from out of state. We purchased chocolate as gifts for loved ones back home, but didn't take the heat and our walk back to the hotel into account. Emily at the sales counter went above and beyond and got us ice packs so that we could walk our chocolates back in the heat of the afternoon without the chocolates melting.
The gardens are beautiful and the facilities were tidy!
Ethan Gaudioso-Nash
Great place to with family during the holiday season. They always do a great job with all of the Christmas lights and they add on and improve the display every year. The chocolate is a bit pricey, but if you get anything, the hot chocolate is worth it.
Edgar Maldonado
It's a cool place to visit and know their chocolate process, the bad part is that is kind of a self guided tour through, but is a small place. The chocolate is very very good, pricey but good
Ryan Hernandez
We @Clearingradi and @Despejandolv crew love coming here from time to time to learn what is cooking up in the sweet world of Ethel Ms
Frank Knapp
Wow. If you're a chocolohic. This is a must stop by. For their tastings...yum. It stock up on goodies for yourself or gifts..
Katherine Howett
Great place to stop! The chocolate factory has plenty to interest anyone who loves sweets. The tasting room runs sessions hourly, but if that isn't your style the free viewing area has a whole walk to watch chocolate making. The store is filled with so many different chocolates and the staff are very friendly and knowledgeable. Outside, the Cactus Garden is a must see! With local and exotic plants all grown to match the area it is both beautiful and fascinating. A great place for the family!
Meaghan Karanasios
Always a great experience! Love going around Christmas time! The.lights display is so.pretty! And they add new stuff each year! And the Santa experience was great. No masks!
Jim McMichael
Great to see how this most awesome candy is made!
sophia antillon
I grew up visiting here and watching the chocolate making process, eating the free samples, enjoying the gardens. I recommend to anyone needing a chocolate fix or learning fun with the little people :)
Amanda Motley
The cactus garden is very pretty, the staff in the chocolate store/factory were very nice. Try the prickly pear cactus chocolate, it's delicious. You automatically get free samples too! Expect to pay a little more for the chocolate though.
Frans Timmermans
IT'S free ,and if you have a sweet tooth in side you have The Best chocolate to me the a real gem is outside best cactus garden I have ever seen , the whole place begs photos and more photos .(what a well kept place) my hats off to the ground keepers. Its underneath a flight zone you can take these kind of shots telephoto lens recommended.
Emily Howard
Fun stop while in town to check out factory and cactus garden. Tasty chocolate samples and friendly staff. Glad we stopped in!
Rhonda Evans-Morgan
Like the self guide tour. Chocolate was awesome! Went during daylight hours so Christmas lights weren't on in the cactus garden, but still pretty!
Jendayi Johnson
I had a great experience doing the wine and chocolate tasting with my friends. I learned a lot about cocoa that I never knew before. We had two people with allergies in our group and they were very good about accommodating us.
Brittney Lewis
I absolutely loved the cactus garden! It was so beautiful! I enjoyed the chocolate tour and tasting! The staff was nice and helpful!
isabelle cotton
We went on a family outing with our parents and our grandsons touring the Chocolate Factory. We watched candy being made and ate samples of the many different chocolate choices offered inside the Chocolate Factory’s store. We all had a rich cup of hot chocolate while we strolled through the botanical garden which had been festively decorated Christmas lights. This was a beautiful memorable evening and a highly recommended evening experience. The botanical garden is only seasonally decorated with lights, you will need to call for further information.
Marvin Mallari
Do you want something off the beaten path? Less casinos and gambling and more site seeing? This is a great stop for the family. You are warmly greeted with a nice piece of chocolate. Along with a glass door to peak and how the chocolate process works. Right after, you can then take a stroll through the cactus garden and enjoy the different species in the area. Overall, a good little pitstop from everything else.
Harry Clarke
Ethel M Chocolate is one of my happy places. Always fun to walk the gardens , take photos and end it with a chocolate covered strawberry. Impeccable Covid19 standards in the chocolate shop and always above and beyond customer service. It is a must see.
Martin Tokay
When in Vegas a must! Delectable chocolat & the Cactus Garden is fabulous!
Athena G M
We stop by Ethel M’s every time we are in Vegas. The chocolates are so good. We really enjoy walking around the cactus garden too.
Stefan Hodges
Me and my wife went to the holiday lighting on opening night. As expected it was packed which was not a problem at all. The workers inside the store were extremely helpful. They were extremely friendly and seemed to enjoy their jobs. They were super busy and they stayed calm with all that pressure. The hot chocolate was, absolutely amazing tasting. You can, watch the workers in the factory as they do their jobs. It's really neat. I would definitely recommend it to anyone.
B.A' Arnett
Christmas garden is fun for the kids, nicely decorated! In these distancing times, nice to get out and get some air!
Brian Sarcinelli
Fun chocolate tasting. The cactus garden is beautiful.
Shelly Berkowitz Life Coach
Just love the lights at Ethel M's. Outdoors, temp checks, social distancing. Perfect place to stay safe and have fun. 😍❄️😷🎄 …
Jose Cervantes
My daughter set up a chocolate tasting tour. I had a wonderful experience and Vic our tour guide did a exceptional job especially with the history of Mrs Ethel M as well as explaining the types of flavors available. The chocolate tastings was cool. I tasted chocolate which I would normally not try, and I’m not a big chocolate person. Yet here I am buying up the whole store.
Andrina SN
This is a hidden gem in Vegas! Everyone is so helpful and welcoming. Masks and social distancing are enforced. It's a real nice treat to have a fun little self guided tour, and check out the cactus garden. Also if you can, sign up to do the chocolate and wine tasting. It's very informative and even my husband who is not a big chocolate fan, really enjoyed it!
Taylor Lamb
Fun to do while visiting Henderson, if you have family here or just are visiting for fun. It is cool to see all the chocolate this place makes and how delicious it is!
David Kessler
Very well worth the trip. We thoroughly enjoyed all the festive lights on the cacti.
Strike 2.0
Going to the cactus garden is free, which was a nice little adventure! The chocolate can be a bit expensive but it is very tasty, instead of buying a box l picked out a few pieces and they were all delicious. 😊 …
Matthew Bullock
My husband and I visited back in May for our friends wedding!! The cactus garden was absolutely beautiful!!! It was the perfect location for such a beautiful wedding!! Hope to come back to visit again!!
Ana Gomez
I love this place!
It's one of my favorite places at Christmas time. The Christmas lights in the garden are amazing.
Love to have their hot chocolate and walk the paths in the garden!
JESSICA M
Always a pleasure coming to Ethel m chocolate factory.
Ahmed Lames
The staff was so friendly. We learned a lot while going there as the staff were knowledgeable and passionate. It's fairly small for the self guided tour but worth going to while in town. We got some samples and bought the original mars bar which was yummy. Because it is so hot they gave us a reusable ice pack so we could take our chocolate on the go. They also have a cactus walk which was pretty to go through. Great place to take kids, learn about chocolate enjoy chocolate and stretch your legs.
Ashwini G
This place offers self guided tour of the factory and cactus garden. Small place with chocolate shop. Free samples was provided. Loved the variety of chocolates available to buy. We bought a box of 12 pieces and loved everyone of them. Good place to spend couple of hours away from the strip. Definetely recommend for family with kids.
Jon Wolske
We came to see the cactus garden lit up for Christmas and were not disappointed. Parking was pretty busy but we found a spot pretty quickly. The lights were spectacular, and a trip into the awesome chocolate shop finished of our visit. Seriously the best chocolates and they make them right here!
Crystal Parker
Incredibly friendly and helpful staff made this visit a delight! I was initially drawn in by the happy hour sale on the Mojave Milkshakes (which are amazing!). There is a lovely cactus garden right outside the café, where I was able to enjoy my treat and take a walk, all surrounded by beautiful plants. Suffice to say, I thoroughly enjoyed my time here!
Patti Anderson
Mask, social distancing, hand sanitizer. No crowds. Nice walk around the gardens.
Resting spots in the shade.
Nevada COOL (NevadaCool)
Way expensive! The chocolate is damn good, and there is plenty to choose from, but it is not cheap.
Mattie Jordan
The chocolates are sinful and the garden is absolutely beautiful!!
Jonathan Ubovich
Very cool experience!
We went in for the factory tour which was neat. They have you walk alongside a walkway with a window straight into the factory to watch them stirring, heating, pouring, cooling, cutting, and boxing the chocolate. Plus they gave out free samples and the chocolate here is amazing!
We got the Mojave Pecan shake and a couple chocolate bars.
They also have an extensive cactus garden outside.
Great experience I would recommend to anyone.
Alucard Greyson
This is a very expensive place to get very fine chocolate. You get a free piece just for going and they have special events year round. I had their Almond brittle milkshake and it is to die for. Keep the spoon they give you for the chunks of brittle at the bottom of the cup. I do wish they gave you a milkshake straw though, because the tiny ones they give you can't handle the brittle well.
william bird
We did the wine and chocolate experience. It was fun, but for the price you get 4 pieces of chocolate and 4 sips of wine and your done in less than hour. The time we went there was no chocolate being made so we didnt to see anything done in the factory, loses some appeal if we are just looking at conveyors and machines and nothing done. Over all to pay for an uber there and back and about a 20 mins experience, not worth it to ever do again. The employees and the presenter was very nice however.
Sue
Always a stopping place when we visit Vegas. And their cactus garden is nice, especially if you get a chance to go during the holiday season when they have everything decorated with lights......make sure you visit at night to appreciate the lit up garden.
Tina Brunetti
This was a great place! It was fun clean and everyone was very nice and professional. They had a great children's choir singing Christmas songs and Santa was there. We just had a great time and highly recommend checking it out if you have time. 5 to 6 pm wasn't to crowded and was a great time to go.
Brandi Oldaker
Fun place to visit. You get to see them making some chocolates, sample a few chocolates, and of course purchase many of their various different varieties of delicious chocolates, then stroll through their relaxing cactus garden. Fun place to take the family.
Brian Jenkins
Cactus garden was cool and the chocolate factory looked neat, but it wasn't operating while we were there.
Colleen Torres
Awesome place to visit. Especially during the holidays. Lifesize chocolate cactus was a favorite of ours!
Barbara Weiser
Tour is self guided and factory floor visible from windows. Tillamook Creamery in Oregon is similar and very inviting. Chocolate is wonderful!
Junior Oconnell
I want to highly recommend the wine and chocolate pairing at The Tasting Room at Ethel M in Henderson, Nevada. The tasting experience was educational as well as amazing! The tasting class experience is available hourly from 10 am to 7 pm. This experience will typically last from 30 to 45 minutes. You must be 21 years of age in order to participate in the chocolate and wine pairing. However the premium chocolate tasting is suitable for all ages to enjoy. I would definitely rate this five stars. Please also be sure to check out the incredible Botanical cactus garden while you are there. During the holiday season the cactus garden is decorated with lights and the area is quite beautiful and very magical! The Chocolate Factory itself is a special experience.
F Tadlock
Chocolate was wonderful. The real experience here was the cactus gardens! In bloom and stunning!
Casey Leung
Good chocolates :). Cactus garden was nicely decorated with lights
B. E. Kissinger
The cactus garden is a must see. Plenty of species of cacti and succulents. Also, great photo opportunities. Factory tour and chocolate gift shop good too.
Alfredo exposed experience
it will be last year me and my family's went there.it was fun.
Alexis Solorzano
This year's Cactus Garden Lights was amazing! So nice to actually see all the lights and not have to worry about the crowds. Did a great job with Santa. I just loved the set up.
Todd Robison
This place is nice. We went in early January. The viewing area for the factory is a straight walkway with glass, allowing you to see the different stages of chocolate production. The gift shop area is bright and clean, with a fair amount of prepackaged chocolate options and gifts; while the counter areas have pick your own chocolate assortments such as truffles, chocolate covered strawberries, etc. Outside there is a nice walk through cactus garden.
Hallie Dell
This was SO MUCH FUN! Try the chocolate tasting and the gardens are gorgeous
Samantha Mackenroth
Ethel M's is a must see at least once as a local! the Cactus gardens are stunning and well kept and the chocolate is delicious.
Samantha Jackson
Love it so far!! My sons and I came for Santa pictures and a walk around the cactus gardens in December for the lights. I really do want to try some chocolate here and check out the factory, it looks beautiful and interesting for kids!
Bobbi Baldwin
The garden was very festive. This is second year we have been there and plan to go back for many more. Hot chocolate was wonderful and the chocolates are great as always. Definitely recommend this place for family holiday outing. The cactus garden is free.
Charles Darnell
Very nice to see so many lights and so many families who were having a good time. Candy prices a bit expensive, but no one can disagree with the quality and taste.
S G810
A small cute place which is free to visit if you do the self guided tour. We read online that there was separate fee for the cactus garden but there was no fee when we actually visited the garden.
There is a tasting room option as well for 15 dollar/head and it would definitely be something worth trying. The staff is friendly and they do have a small cafe as well for basic drinks and icecreams. The definitely do not have anything in dark chocolate for cold drinks which was very disappointing. We tried a lot of samples and the best was coffee dusted chocolate truffle. We did pay for some and eventually the lady at the counter did give us some free samples as well.
They do give out free Ice when they pack the chocolates so you can carry them back to your hotel. The place does have enough parking and overall a fun place to take your kids as well.
ONLY DOCKING ONE STAR because I would really revisit the place is they incorporate their chocolate into milkshakes.
Dave S (Certified)
We came for the lights. Parking was, not terrible. The cactus forest was fun and not overly encumbered with vendors.
Nancy Crenshaw
Christmas lights so beautiful in cactus garden. Relaxing walk with little ones enjoying the displays.
P Greenberg
What a fun excursion that was! My friends and I went to Vegas a while back to have some fun on the strip and at the last minute decided to go out there and do the tasting and I'm so glad we did! It's a little out of the way but a short lyft over was totally worth it. The cactus garden is tiny but very cute and the tasting is short, but definitely sweet! :)
Chris
Very interesting place, you get to see how they make the chocolate, do chocolate tastings, see the cactus garden etc. Currently everything is set up for Christmas, so the cactus garden is lit up and Santa Claus is there. We did a chocolate and wine tasting class, it was pretty interesting, you learn about the history of the place and the chocolate making process.
Jessica Hilbert
The place is pretty cool! The chocolate is AMAZING! I did not do the official your, but could read/see what happened. Very good chocolate, but he prepared for higher prices.
The cacti garden is great too! There are lots of different things I have never seen before!
amanda Feliz
Although pricey, it was worth going out to see the factory, and see chocolates being made. They had flat squares of caramel cooling on tables in the factory.. Then we got to see heard shaped chocolates being processed, and it was pretty interesting to see. The prices were high, but for those who like expensive chocolates, they were very decadent and probably worth it.
Son Ho
Self-guided tours with three free pieces of chocolate.
Lots of staff on the floor and in the production facility. They all seem relaxed and happy. The production area has staff wearing white overalls so they all look like little munchkins in Willy Wonka's Chocolate Factory.
Staff are really nice and friendly and their premium chocolate is really yummy.
With good weather, it's really relaxing to enjoy your chocolate in the cactus garden.
Katy Johnson
What a fabulous gem in Henderson! My five year old and I attended the chocolate class and tasting. It was engaging - even for a child. My son sat through the class and really enjoyed it. Andy was a great choclatier for anyone to learn from and we will be back again! The cactus garden is an added bonus for such a great place. Highly recommended!
Iveth Adina Emanuelli
Beautiful Christmas display as usual. Been coming here for the past 4yrs. Since I moved to Vegas and enjoy all of their holiday displays. Let no forget their amazing chocolates and hot chocolate. Happy Holidays Ethel M.
kelly wight
Man! What a cool place! Cute little botanical garden - saw species of cacti I'd never heard of. Great chocolate! Just a cool little spot
Vanessa VanAlstyne
The chocolate is expensive but amazing. The view of the floor is fun. The cactus garden is lovely and there is a floofy kitty who guards it.
Tom Conroy
Gotta love classic American chocolates! And Holiday lit Cacti!
Lyle Larson
My wife and I stopped in for the wine and chocolate pairing while in town for our honeymoon. The chocolate was tasty, and the wine was ok. I'm not sure how much went into the selection of the wines as I fell that some of them did not highlight the chocolate as well as they could have. The educational side of it was short, but interesting. The price was steep in my opinion for the length of the event, but I don't regret it either.
Brian Baity
Love visiting this location. It was remodeled since my last visit. I like the improvements. The cactus garden that you can wander through is always a nice relaxing time. She nice my last visit they have added wine and chocolate pairing tasing. I think this will be on my agenda for next time since I didn't plan tome for this visit. A sign claimed it cost $25 per person
J.M. E
It was a beautiful night. I feel bad for my little one because we don't get out as often. Everyone was nice, things were structured and it was overall a great break from what has become the new normal. The staff were really pleasant and organized. It was really nice and I hope it stays that way.
Justin Bayoneto
It was a bit confusing first trying to find the entrance to the factory (the main road leads you to their business operations facilities). However once inside, it is a nice, quaint factory enjoyable for the whole family. The staff is very friendly and welcoming: offering free samples bought at the factory section and at the actual counters for purchasing products. And the quality of the chocolate is amazing!
Steffi Lee
Enjoy delicious chocolate and variety of cactus.
Michael Patry
A short fun experience. You can walk the cactus garden and then take a short walk thru the chocolate factory before picking something up in the gift shop. Basic fun and nothing complex.
Devin Campbell
The chocolate is great and watching them make the chocolate was interesting, but the best thing here is the garden. If it hadn't been so hot, I would have spent more time walking around the garden and reading about the plants. We were there about 30 minutes which was just enough time to breeze through the store and do a quick pass through the garden. If you like cacti, definitely visit Ethel M Chocolates.
Robert Phillips
If you love Chocolate this is a bucket list location. Outstanding quality and flavor made our visit to the tasting room a great experience. The Cactus Garden is amazing with all of the Christmas decorations. And it is free to vist! Thank you Ethel M's for the wonderful experience.
Katie Hallock
More than anything I enjoy this place for Cactus Garden. Especially when it's decorated (for Christmas and Valentines week)!
But even though this place started local, now being owned by Mars it has a very chain feel to me. Each chocolate piece is $2 or more. I pay a similar price at my other favorite chocolatiers, but the quality doesn't seem as high here. I mean, I'm never gonna turn down Chocolate. But if I'm spending a decent amount of money, I'd like for it to feel a bit more fancy than what I could could just buy at Target.
Bobby Alvarado TheFoodjunkiesLV IG
Sweet spot! Haha
Usually pretty easy to walk in and out with some awesome Chocolate. If you're holiday shopping however, do it in advance.
Been here plenty of times (** for wife ;) ** love it!
Bob Hart
The cactus garden is what brought us to this destination as it's free and we don't get to see cactus from the white tundra where we live. The factory is set up so you can see how the fudge is packed. We went for the free cactus garden and then spent $50 on chocolate but you can't complain. The staff was very nice and the place was classy and clean.
Henri Sagalow
It was interesting we went a long time ago for Christmas
The live jazz band was good we got there at 730 no line had reservations by 815 it was very busy with a long line
Leanne Arvila
Beautiful cactus garden, not sure if there's always lights or this was leftover from Christmas and converted to valentines day. Free samples when you get in, very tasty. Walk along the windows to see the production lines and machines to the store where you can have more samples. The pecan brittle was really good and I usually don't like brittle, it wasn't as hard and filling pulling as the usual stuff. All in all I had 4 free samples and left with a 12 piece box for $25. I like that that are bean to box and solar powered as well. I'm going to have to have my husband order some for Valentine's Day. After trying the prickly pear filled and lemon satin chocolates, I'm hooked. The whole box is gone, now I'm sad
Dee Golightly
Best chocolates west of the Mississippi. The factory never seems to be running when I've been here, and the "tour" is just looking through the big windows at the machinery. I don't care about the tour, but it's ok. Come for the chocolate. It's expensive because it's excellent. My wife loves all their caramels, and my favorite is the pecan brittle.
Amber Fuller
Free community event to bring your family and enjoy the cactus lights. Every year we bring the kids, take great pics and create wonderful holiday memories. And who doesn't love free chocolate samples?! Best hot chocolate in the city.
M Godlewski
I buy a large box of chocolates for a Christmas present for my mom every year. She is hard to buy for but these chocolates are always a hit. Best chocolates in Las Vegas.
DONALD HOWSLEY
We did the chocolate and wine tasting class. The pairings were amazing, also learned the process of how they make their chocolates. The class was very informative and fun. Ethel M. chocolates are some of the best available. They use all natural ingredients and it shows off in their finished products. Would definitely recommend for the chocolate lover in your family. Staff was very helpful and courteous.
Iris Han
My friend and I did the chocolate tasting session yesterday. Our chocolatier was Sabrina and she along with the other staff members was SO friendly and informative. We learned so much about chocolate-making and really enjoyed the 5 different samples we had (RIP my diet). She told us they make their own peanut butter, which explains why their PB-filled chocolates taste SO much better than mass-produced cheap chocolate. They give you a certificate which gives you a discount off regular-priced chocolates in the shop. The employees in the store were so sweet too! They pointed out some reduced-priced chocolates (who doesn't love a deal?) in addition to the shake and other chocolates we bought. I plan to go back for the wine & chocolate pairing next time. It was not crowded since it was a weekday, but I imagine weekends are busier so keep that in mind if you go
Robin Carnevale
Love the cactus garden really miss the post card chocolate souvenirs
Mary Duggan
My husband and I visited the Ethel M Chocolate Factory last week and took the chocolate and wine tasting tour. It was just the two of us on this particular tour, and we thoroughly enjoyed it. We sampled four or five different types of chocolate paired with various types of wine. I want to duplicate the pairings at home. We liked the chocolate so much that we brought quite a bit of it home to Massachusetts. We'll be ordering more online in time for the holidays.
John Heathcote
The self guided tour is short but very interesting. The chocolate is delicious. Also, they have a very nice cactus garden to walk around in. (When you buy chocolate, they put a cold freezer pack in the bag with it so that it won't melt!)
Bp Pb
I only had the quick taste, and bought some for gifts. I did try the cognac truffle though. I am not into chocolate usually and this was very very good.
They have to work a bit on the self guided tour - you can barely read the writing on the glass and at one point you just don't want to read. I went there to understand more of the process rather then just buy chocolate, and j feel like I didn't really learn anything.
Elisabeth Krainski
Their covid mitigation in there is honestly scary. They've physically blocked a couple of code required fire exits and closed one of their code and ADA required bathrooms. The walkways aren't really handicapped accessable. But not that any of that is going to stop you from going there, great chocolates, friendly staff, cool little factory thing with big windows. Just probably not worth it if you're in a wheelchair or are super concerned about getting stuck in a burning building.
ACO
This place is fun. They have tours through the factory, during the fall/winter months they have a light display in their cactus gardens. During the Christmas season Santa is there as well...the kids can get their picture taken with the man in red. It is a lot of fun.
Angela Cywinski
I love this place! The catcus garden is decorated with Christmas lights that makes it twinkle with color! After walking through the garden, go inside and get a hot chocolate with whipped cream, yummy! The store is small with many customers, especially during the Christmas Season. Worth the wait!!
KC Cyr
We tried the chocolate tasting and it was interesting. I will never be able to look at a box of chocolates the same way again. The complexity of chocolates rivals wine and that was clearly demonstrated.
The cactus garden was a 10. Go earlier just before dusk on a weekday to beat the crowd and to see the garden without and with lights during the holiday season.
Joy S.
It was interesting but more like a 10 minute visit. You can watch as they make chocolate which is about a 50ft walkway, however at 11am on a Monday no one was in the factory. We received a free sample of dark chocolate which was very good. There is a cafe and store where you can buy chocolate and ice cream. They also have a large cactus garden, but it was literally 115 degrees when we went so we didn't spend too long in the garden. 3 stars because although all products were good, it doesn't really warrant a stop unless you plan on buying alot of chocolate.
Smiling in the Sun
Still a wonderful place to spend an hour or so. It's been open for decades, and the garden contains a diverse collection of indigenous and desert-adapted plants.
D Yazz
Haven't been in here for a few years and was surprised at the remodel! Great service! Wonderful chocolates!
Nina Schwinghammer
Nice large open space. You can observe the chocolate making room and sample a piece of chocolate. There are tastings available for $15. Bars start at $3/piece. The cactus garden is pleasant and decorated with lights for the holidays.
Divvertago Risegru
Excellent experience, the chocolate itself is very enjoyable. Much better than cheap candy where the main ingredient is a lot of chocolate. Very old-style, homemade chocolate.
The brand, which is the gourmet branch of Mars, is a local chocolate store, which is engaged in local activities and seasonal activities. The cactus garden is lit up for the holidays and also one week for valentine's day. All free to the community and Tourists.
The only thing I wish it had was a bigger area, whether it was the cactus garden or the factory itself. Such place, isolated in Las Vegas should have more activities with it, whether it was a museum or park or library to make it a complete experience in a day.
Y S
Super fun place to visit for all ages. Tasty treats, drinks and merchandise. You can see how the candy is made in the factory and enjoy the cactus garden. My family and I really enjoyed this place and will visit again on next trip.
Hailey Hadley
Love coming here everytime we go to Vegas. They have a beautiful cactus garden to walk through. Their chocolate is the best chocolate in America. Definitely recommend going.
Bob Clark
You have to try the tasting. I learned a ton about chocolate.
BTW Mark, you should sell the peanut butter by itself.
Christine Clement
We walked through the cactus garden after a wonderfully delicious chocolate tasting. This is a lovely and relaxing place to visit, nice change of place while visiting Las Vegas.
Rax Robinson
I love this place as its walking distance from my house . It's the best for something simple and free to do if you have guests . We got lucky on a weekend as all the action of making sneaker bars and dove chocolates are happening. There is a nice lady staff that told us what they are doing. And then we got some samples. Bought a few things and then explored their cactus botanical garden . It's one free quick must do if you have guests .
Joe O
Fun place to see chocolates made. Free sample. Lots of delicious chocolates to buy. Lovely cactus gardens.
Jill Jaeger
Lights are fantastic! Parking can be tricky. Nice cement paths with slight hills. The garden is beautiful. Some plants are labeled. We looked the penguin lights causing trouble. Choirs were caroling. Santa was somewhere, but we didn't see him. We got our free chocolate sample then visited the factory. The lines to buy anything were very long so we skipped that. It is chilly after dark so bundle up.
M Sae
Amelia made the chocolate tasting experience so amazing. She was so sweet and literally the best!! We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and the succulents garden was very cool, although I couldn’t be out in the desert heat for too long.
Andrew Draper
Skip the hot chocolate. Its taste was very disappointing compared to the hot chocolate we've had at other chocolate factories (which was to die for). Instead, save your money for their truffles, chocolate lemon cremes, and other chocolate pieces, which are delicious. I wish I'd bought more.
During the holiday season, the lights are pretty. It can get very crowded with the everyone looking at the lights, at least yesterday when we went (around 9pm on a Saturday).
Lee A
Great spot. Reservations were easy. Covid rules made it way better. Less crowded then previous years. Also, Santa is behind a plexiglass and is still wearing a mask. Hard to trust that. My kid was confused.
yolanda m
Delicious chocolate, very nice cactus garden. Chocolate tour was just a short couple minute walk by.
Rosita Rodriguez
The Christmas lights are beautiful. The weather was fantastic tonight for such a great outing with my friends. On the samples were superb. Best chocolate I've tasted in years. Thank you Ethel M Chocolates for a great evening.
crunchy hanaksa
A very tasty treats for folks with 😋😋 refined taste for the very best chocolates, 😋😋😋😋.
Perfect place to take kids and grandkids!!!! They will give you samples of their chocolates as well. There is a viewing area, where you can see the chocolate making process, just amazing to see how these great tasting treats are made, boxed and packaged. Then you can buy these, either loose or by the box.
Diana Maldonado
Chocolate factory....need I say more! We stopped in on a Sunday so there were only a handful of workers inside the actual factory. But it's still fun to see where all the chocolate is made and boxed. After you grab your chocolatey goodness, you can walk through the beautiful cactus garden while enjoying your yummy treat. I loved the chocolate covered marshmallow on a stick. If you love chocolate this is a stop you want to make.
Angela Weiss
Absolutely a MUST SEE! Free samples rock! Cactus garden is cool. The whole chocolate process and candy apple pricess was neat. Very highly recommend from an international author n friends. Go there. You will like it.

Very nice place to visit especially around Christmas. At that time the outside cactus garden is lit up with Christmas lights and you can meet and take pictures with Santa. The chocolate factory is great and I recommend taking the free tour as they give out samples!!!
Joshua Kelley
Wonderful holiday lights, and chocolate second to none!
Angela Springer
Fun chocolate factory. Amazing cactus garden, especially at Christmas.
Stacy Armstrong-Flores
Don't do it, don't do it! It's a trap. A chocolate trap 🤣 We bought a lot of chocolate. The only thing I wished they allowed more samples like See's candy. I would like to know if I like something before I purchase it. …

Awesome local fun thing to check out when you are in town where they make chocolate in front of you. It is a super cool touristy or local thing to do. I didn’t realize how rare it is to actually find places that make chocolate in front of you, or offer classes that you are able to watch.
Definitely would add it to your bucket list. It’s out of Vegas in Henderson so more suburban but definitely a super chill thing to do. You can do it with kids or without kids. They serve and sell lots of chocolate so definitely something I would check out.

Delicious Candy, Terrible Holiday Gift Idea? What you are not told unless you read the fine print in the Terms of Service is the Chocolate is so fresh, it only has a shelf life of about 3 weeks without refrigeration or freezing. So by the time your loved one get's around to opening your gift they're expired.
Also No Refunds which is a novel concept. In any case their Customer Service wouldn't accept the sealed order back but they are returning my purchase price this one time.

My wife and I visited the factory two years ago and it was very quiet since the production has stopped for the day. We though it was very underwhelming. This year, we had a fantastic experience. Andy was the one who helped us from the moment we walked in. He gave us a few samples of the chocolates and spoke about the tasting course that they offer. He mentioned that if we had Groupon, we could buy tickets to the tasting course and save $5/person. We bought the tickets and he delivered the course to us. We tasted four delicious chocolates and can now say that we are Ethel M Chocolatiers (I know, it's very cool). We received 20% off our purchase and a free box of chocolates. The production team were working on monster sized Snickers bars and it was really cool!
Pro tip: make your own box rather than buying a premade box. The prices are great (48 pieces for $40 after 20% discount) and you can pick every single chocolate you want! You want the Lemon Satin Creme.

Excellent location with a great variety of yummy chocolates. Tour is a must, get some gifts at the shop, plus ice cream and more sweet treats. Parking lot, cactus garden is beautiful, restrooms and a friendly and knowledgeable staff.
Kaeby
They gave us 3 pieces of free chocolate. Try to go in the morning if you're interested in watching the chocolate making process (we went at 4pm and there were only a couple of people on the production floor). Cactus garden is pretty. Chocolate gifts are really overpriced (it was good chocolate, but I kind of prefer Ghirardelli for my overpriced gourmet chocolate).
Joyce Spence
Delicious chocolate! Free samples. It was actually pretty expensive, but you get to see it made, so it was worth it. They also have a very large cactus garden beside the store. It was beautiful and very interesting.
Rick Reynolds
Great experience. A bit expensive at $3 per piece
Dwight Calwhite
It’s a great place for a date, especially around the holidays. Be sure to check out the amazing lights display in the outdoor cactus garden as well as the factory floor. And enjoy their delicious peppermint bark!
Alisha Tolman Burton
Took the kids and did a chocolate tasting. Garden was beautiful and the staff was friendly and accommodating of the babies. They really mean it when they say be there early for your tasting. We got there at 10:01 and were not allowed to go in.
Tim Phipps
Great place to see Christmas lights for free. The tour is ok. Feels disconnected through the glass. The chocolate prices are high to say the least. I appreciate the lighted garden being made available for free. We visit every year.
Brandon Rech
Fun place to kill an hour or so. Not much more though, unless you're really into chocolate and wine tasting. The cactus garden is really cool, but you can only hang a short while when it's 100 outside.

Returned here for the 1st time on Easter week 2017 since visiting 5 years ago. M&M World is gone; they no longer feature colorful M&M candies & souvenirs. They've remodeled and upgraded to feature only the more premium, more adult Ethel M chocolates. I suspect that the Mars Company is trying to grow and position Ethel M as the next See's or Godiva. There is now a tasting room where you can pay a flat fee to taste many different chocolates. There is still a free walk-through tour along the candy kitchen so that you can look through floor-to-ceiling windows from afar to see candy makers create chocolates with large machines, but come earlier in the day to see the action. My family came around 5 pm on a Tuesday and there were no workers in the kitchen. On the plus side, they discount the perishable items, chocolate covered strawberries, chocolate covered marshmallows & pastries by 50% around 5 or 6pm. The cactus garden is beautiful, but be careful not to let children run around on their own. I was too busy trying to take a good family selfie and backed into a cactus with long needles. Ouch!
Maria Barnes
Yummy treats and pretty light displays!
Ethan Featherstone
Great chocolate, but even better holiday lights. We go here every year with our family. It can be crowded during the holiday evenings because it is so popular, but it is worthwhile. Their chocolate is pricey but very good.
Alexander Stewart
Love this place! It is a must visit. The whole process is great. Staff is on fire. They are super helpful, I've never been crowded it. There is even a nice cactus garden out front while you enjoy your tasty treats.
Mary Goulding
They gave a wonderful walking tour, you got to see real people one-on-one manufacturing and packaging the candies. A little pricey but well worth it the candy was fantastic. The staff members I interacted with was wonderful.
Joseph Evans
Great place to visit. Do the wine and chocolate pairing tasting if you love both. The staff all have great attitudes and spirit and you will die happy from the taste of at least one of their chocolates. Dark chocolate pear cordial ftw.
Teresa Kobes
We loved the Christmas lights! Great idea to bring in new customers. I didn't know Ethel M Chocolates was there until we went to checkout the Christmas lights at their cactus farm. 🎄 …
Tiffany Cravalho-Anderson
It was very nice this year. Was able to take a lot of pictures. As well as get a picture with santa. He is in a room. The photographer sanitized after each photo. Package are $20 and $40.
Steve Risenmay
The Christmas lights are fun to see on all the varieties of cactus. Lots of colors and many lights. It would take someone 15 - 20 minutes to walk through the cactus garden walking slowly. If you are nearby, go see it during the holiday season in the winter.
jennifer ellis
Lovely cactus garden. But we only get one tiny free chocolate coin and the chocolate makers are very rarely seen in the windows. A little something is definitely missing!
Akash R
Such simplicity in a chocolate factory! Even better are the collections (especially the dark chocolates)
After buying some chocolates, take a stroll through the beautiful cactus gardens. Cactus and other plants from all over the world! Definitely a sight worth seeing and enjoying
Michael Williams
Wow! The chocolate is amazing here. My wife and I did the tasting and it was definitely worth it! Super friendly staff and amazing delicious chocolates- right up there with any of the chocolate that I’ve tried internationally.
Ray Kilmer
Our 1st time for the Christmas Cactus Garden and it was awesome. We will definitely do it again next year.
Kathy Lam
bought chocolate covered balls ($20 for 2 pkg) and got a free ethel mug when we spent $50. Got ice packs for for chocolates and extra bags upon request. The cactus garden was cool! This place is really only popular because of the chinese tour groups that make it a mandatory stop. Everything in the store is pricey.
John Isaacs
We had a great time here, i managed to resist the chocolate but temptation beat me when i saw the ice cream selection, they sell wonderfull ice cream, after that we had a wander around the botanical gardens. They are beautiful. Next time i am in Vegas i will return here for another ice cream.
Liz Savery
If you love this chocolate, stop by while you're in Vegas. There's a self-guided tour and a gfit shop (of course) and the staff are generous with samples. Fun to see the chocolate being made, and there's a garden outside as well, if you'd like a walk around while enjoying your milkshake.
Debbie Hockom
Absolutely a must! The chocolate and wine pairing is great. The cactus garden left me awestruck!
Gayle Anderson
Friendly and attentive sales people. Love the view into the shop floor to watch employees working making the candy. Especially like the cactus garden! Any chocolate you would ever want is made right there! Love Ethel M!
O2bobxn Worththewait
The guy Chris was great entering the tour/ store. Get the milkshake for doing the cacti walk around the garden. Cacti spectacular!
Charl Christman
Ethel M Chocolate is one of my happy places. Always fun to walk the gardens , take photos and end it with a chocolate covered strawberry. Impeccable Covid19 standards in the chocolate shop and always above and beyond customer service. It is a must see.
Re becca
Ethel's were included in our Hoover Dam experience- but who doesn't love Chocolate!?
This factory was actually a quick 5 minute run through of how they prepare their chocolate - we get 3 different tastings from M&Ms to their pecan brittle all were delicious ..but extremely pricey!
We made a quick run through at their garden outside and if it weren't too windy i'd say it was worth it for cactus enthusiast !
Chris Z
Great place to walk through especially during the holidays. The tour is literally a peek at the factory; the gift shop is bigger than the tour. But the cactus garden is quite nice and calm.
Marianne Kamber
Took the wine and chocolate tasting class. Janet was great. Learned a lit as not chocolates and why Ethel Ms are so good. The pairings were interesting. Discount was a nice plus at the end. Very worth doing.
NV K
Having already visited the Cadbury World chocolate factory in the UK, I had high expectations for this place, but this place is not at the same level as Cadburys. You don't get to be intimate with the chocolate preparation and you don't get to take away as many samples as well. Its a small factory and its OK, but not great.
They also have a huge Cactus garden within the premises of the building. This was a lot more educational as well as enjoyable to see different species of Cacti. That's definitely worth a visit.
amanda knauff
Great place. Friendly people and great chocolate
L Cruz
Cactus garden was nice. Especially for free. Chocolate factory is a little small but also nice
Ben
Kids got hot chocolate, adults hot chocolate with espresso (AWESOME) and got to see Santa in under an hour. Option to buy photo that came out great at a reasonable price. Great time at Ethel M.
Malinda Black
Got my prickly pear chocolates, but due to the holiday weekend it was wall to wall people making it hard to walk around the store. The Christmas light's were awesome and fun to look at. I gave it 4 stars mostly for how croweded it was. I would recommend everyone who is visiting Las Vegas to check it out
L Real
We went to look at the annual cactus garden Christmas lights. The employees in the chocolate shop do such a wonderful job keeping the festive spirit of the holidays, as well as the light hangers! That's a feat on its own!
Adrienne Podrasky
The Christmas light display was beautiful!
Brandon Provo
If you like a lot of wonderful christmas lights, then you will love this place! Stop being fat, and don't go here specifically to see the candy being made. I know that the candy is very great! However, don't be so butt hurt if they're not making candy, fatty. There's some available at the end of the tour.
Michelle Harvey Curtis
Had an awesome time and very informative. The chocolate was delicious. I would love to do the wine and chocolate pairings tasting. Tried some different combinations that I would have never tried like raspberry and chocolate.
Julie Kulig
Delicious chocolate, albeit expensive. But I love the holiday lights in the cactus garden, and Santa pics! They added a beautiful little aquarium too.
Louis Izquierdo (ルイス イスキィエルド)
Very delicious chocolate which is very smooth. Blows away the OTHER brands.
Bill L
The cactus garden is well worth the trip. Anyone who is not from the desert might find it odd to see a cactus with Christmas lights on them, but it's definitely worth it just to say that you've seen it!
Grant Baron
Came for cacti stayed for the chocolates. Next time we will probably come for the chocolates and then stay for the cacti. All of the chocolates are so pretty and really tasty as well!
Paige Tolson
Ethel Ms is always fun to visit even when they aren't making the chocolate(not on Saturdays). They shipped my purchase for a low cost and are always so friendly. The cactus garden is just a bonus to visiting the Factory.
