Great ice cream spot! They have lots of delicious flavor options. Inside is nice with a 70’s ice cream parlor feel. Plenty of options - shakes, Sundays, cones and cakes! Highly recommended!

Pretty standard ice cream shop. Cute place with room to sit down and eat. $8.50 for a double scoop. I got praline and strawberry cheesecake. Not really outstanding, but it was good. There might be better flavors that we didn’t try. Service was speedy.

This may be one of the cutest shops I've ever been to, and definitely the sweetest employees! I stumbled upon this little shop while trying to find somewhere to do a little bit of computer work while my husband and friends golfed. I was greeted immediately and offered many samples. The strawberry cheesecake ice cream was fantastic! 10/10 will be stopping here every time I come through town!

Highly recommend! We had a terrible experience with Marble Slab yesterday where they apparently didn’t receive our online(paid) order, and there was no compassion or empathy for the situation. The customer service from Sherry was terrible and I would not recommend! Anywho, we went to Mountain Brook Creamery with an hour to spare until dinner for my daughters birthday in hopes of scoring the ice cream cake she wanted! The gentle that helped us was so kind and helpful, got us what we needed and had us in and out in 5 minutes. He also gave my girls 5 tokens for a free scoop of ice cream!!! Great customer service!

I love the ice cream and it was something new to me cuz I'd never been to ice cream shop like this but the only reason why I give it a four star cuz they don't tell you the price of stuff until after you get done making your ice cream by then it's too late to say as you don't want it and then you get stuck with this huge bill for this ice cream that you could have gone to Dairy Queen for but they're ice cream is handmade and it's one of a kind

I only went for vegan ice cream. It wasn't that great. It tasted as though they used a sugar substitute and a thin dairy free milk like almond milk. Coconut milk makes a creamier, thicker ice cream. There was also a poor aftertaste. If you are going for regular ice cream, absolutely recommend! There are a ton of awesome sounding flavors!

Went here after a hot trip to the zoo. Save your money from high prices at the zoo and come here to get a sweet treat! It's worth the wait! I got the strawberry cheesecake in a cup, and it was very good. Hubby got the waffle cone with coffee ice cream, and was also good.

This is my favorite ice cream place in Birmingham! They have many flavors to choose from, including at least 10 chocolate variations. I absolutely love the chocolate fudge brownie one, and the peanut butter chocolate is my second favorite. My husband tries a different flavor every time, and his favorites are the coffee, the banana pudding, and the apple strudel one. Their ice creams are always creamy and fresh tasting!

The line was out the door when I arrived, but they quickly worked through it while maintaining politeness and being efficient in serving people. Best ice cream in town! Staff is friendly and quick! My go to is always cookie dough! Only gripe is that sometimes the cookie dough ice cream is inconsistent. Sometimes I score and get a bunch of cookie dough chunks and sometimes only 2 chunks in my double scoop. Regardless, will always come back because it’s delicious.

Good cozy ice cream shop. I docked them a point for no strawberry ice cream but the chocolate I got was good. Make sure if you are allergic to peanuts you check your no nut ice cream carefully. My 15 year old got a random nut in his plain choc and we ended up in the ER. Kids running the shop were very helpful and concerned. Would have given them a five if they just had strawberry.

Dear God in ice cream heaven, hallowed be thy entire case of chocolate. I'm so glad we stumbled into this place on a Saturday evening. And even glader we seemed to beat the massive rush. For a small little place with a few tables, they have a massive amount of ice cream. And even one case full of different forms of chocolate ice creams! I girl can get used to a place like this. The scoops are huge! I recommend a cup if you get 2 scoops unless you're super human and can eat ice cream super fast before it all melts. I couldn't even finish both my scoops! The blue cookie dough ice cream was spectacular and totally worth having a blue tongue the rest of the night. The father in law enjoyed the pumpkin and the hubby raved about the moose tracks. I don't think there was as single bad ice cream flavor to be found! It's decently priced, under $5 for 2 giant scoops and they had some non ice cream accoutrements as well. There are a few tables to eat at inside as well as benches on the street outside. The staff was awesome as we took our time to browse the 50+ different flavors and offered us samples if we so wanted. I think this might be a stop every time we're in the area!

It was my first time visiting Mountain Brook Creamery and I was not disappointed. The waffle cone was the most amazing I've had, but then I asked for two scoops of cake batter and it was the best combination ever. The staff was friendly & inviting, I cannot wait to return!!! Must try

This place is a great! It's a homey, cozy down-home ice cream parlor. The employees are all local youth, and they are very polite and helpful. The ice cream itself never disappoints, and they have ample flavors to choose from. Same goes for Edgewood Creamery in Homewood!

I love being a 3 min hop away from this creamery. From sitting down with my mother to hanging outside with some friends in a warm day, it's my favorite spot. Close to the gardens and zoo. Today they were closed for renovations, however, they still had a pop up set up with a few select flavours in an icebox. They even offered a gift certificate for their other branch in Edgewood with all 42 flavours I love their pistachio, praline, Mexican coffee, and black cherry.

This is a staple if your visiting from out of town or just in the area. Location is pretty small, but has an old school feel. Staff was overwhelmed by foot traffic when we got there, but they managed very well. Oh, and the ice cream is DELICIOUS!
