One large heaping scoop of ice cream is $1! I got the mint chocolate chip. They have loads of flavours to pick from so take your pick. The ice cream parlor has places to sit. The parlor and store hours are 9am to 4:30pm Mon-Fri. It doesn't seem they are doing tours at the moment through parts of the factory but you can watch from three windows how they make ice cream which is across the way from the ice cream parlor. It was nice of the factory workers wave to my two year old son from the windows. The general store is cute with a variety of merch from shirts, candles, toys and of course, ice cream scoops and dishes. It seems a lot of locals go there for a quick scoop of ice cream. There is an elevator for anyone who needs it to get to the ice cream parlor. Restrooms are on the bottom floor, parlor and store are on the second floor. There is a park across the street if anyone wanted to know.

This was my first visit to Blue Bell. It was a very pleasant experience on a hot day. I tried a couple of flavors and got a peek inside the plant from the observation window. Would recommend stopping by if you're ever nearby.

What a treat! I have traveled to Sylacauga a couple of times recently and to my surprise there is a Blue Bell Plant! BEST.NEWS.EVER! A dish of ice cream for $1!!! And you can watch them make the good stuff

What an awesome gem that I did not know existed. Neat little ice cream parlor and country store. I have been thru Sylacauga for years and never thought to stop and visit Blue Bell. What a great experience. Huge ice cream cups, that just cost $1, with all the different flavors plus you get to view the production floor. So very impressive.

Very fun place that can be enjoyed in a little time. A viewing area of the factory. Good size bowls of ice cream for 1$. A couple dozen flavors of their ice cream. Easy parking across the street. Hard to go wrong here.

You are not allowed to take pictures of the production, but it is fun to watch, my grandkids loved it. They have a video for you to watch as well. They have an ice cream parlor where a generous scoop of ice cream is only a $1 and they have a fun gift show.

This is a great midday stop. Grab a generous cup of ice cream (there were at least 20 to choose from) for $1. Either enjoy inside the factory overlook shop or walk across the street to the park and enjoy with your dog like we did.

What a place for an ice cream junkie. Samples available for a nominal fee for what they pile in a samplers cup, well worth it. Share a cup with a friend, so you can try all your favorites! You name it, they got it. I would highly recommend this as a must visit location for out of towners, as well as locals needing an ice cream fix. Staff is knowledgeable and friendly, keeping the area clean and sanitized. The gift shop is well stocked and cashier is very accommodating. If it's ice cream related, they have it.

This was my family's first visit to Blue Bell and from the moment we climbed the steps to reach the cremery observation deck we were enchanted. Everyone was so friendly and informative. But the absolute best part was actually eating Blue Bell's delicious ice cream. The parlor had a large selection of their customer's favorites and for only $1/cup we received 3 heaping scoops of our choice. It was a fabulous after noon and well worth the hour drive. We plan on visiting again very soon.

Had a 7:00 am delivery appointment. Broker said they will take me early. (Liar). Got there at 5:00 pm the day before, only to be told they couldn't unload me. They were very professional. There's a parking lot just outside the plant. They said I could park overnight and they would get me early. At 5:00 am they knocked on my door, gave me a dock unloaded in 20 minutes, reloaded me for my 2 delivery and rolling by 6.... Now that's what you call great service.. don't mind coming back.. great people all of them..

We walked right in, walked up to the parlor and enjoyed large servings of delicious ice creams (including specialty flavors) for just a dollar a serving! Nice simple thing to do with the family while the kids can overlook the factory floor and watch ice cream being made.

Best dollar spent for ice cream you are going to get. Many flavors to pick from, just do not look for vanilla ice cream. Come before 2PM to see the production line in motion. Cleaning up for next run after 2. Country store opens its doors 9:00AM.- 4:30PM.

This is such a great place to go. You, obviously, get to eat some great ice cream for very small amounts of money. You can also watch the ice cream being made from a bird's eye viewpoint above the factory floor. They have a gift shop full of cute things. Stop in and enjoy!

We stopped early afternoon to take a look at Blue Bell Creamery. Get there before school let's out or could be very crowded. We were able to see them packaging the Ice Cream from viewing windows on the 2nd floor. The ice Cream parlor is also on the 2nd floor. You get to choose 2 scoops of Ice Cream for a dollar. Very nice old school parlor and very clean. We were told you could not get 2 different scoops of Ice Cream in your cup. Why? They are not thinking right. By trying two new flavors you haven't had before, you just might buy that new flavor at the store. A great afternoon visit with a friendly staff.

Skip breakfast. There's an ice cream shop that is $1 per person. It is insanely tastey and you'll inevitably stuff yourself to the point of sickness. (Yes, for a dollar). Not a large viewing area anymore, though you still get a general view and idea of the production-packing aspect. Fun for the Littles. Gift shop on site. Great spot for a partial day activity. **Not much walking so if you're allergic to exercise, a definite recommendation.

Fun stop. Windows look down onto the production line. You don't see very much of the process, but the machinery quickly filling half-gallon tubs of ice cream is interesting. Large shop of Blue Bell merchandise. Best of all is the ice cream parlor, where you can get two scoops for only $1.

If you are delivering here, they start at 0600. The delivery entrance is on industry ave. They have overnight parking on your left at the gate. Great people free ice cream for the drivers.

Make sure your trailer is clean, clean, clean. Closest washout is 40 mins away, (Turnipseed truck wash, If they're open!) They wasn't on a Tuesday morning. I had to drive all the way to Tuscaloosa to get a washout! Frustrating day, thus my reasoning for three stars. However, they are Very friendly, and I think they give out samples.

For truck entrance, turn on 4th street, then on Industrial ave. This is good for local deliveries. However, it’s possible that the easiest route is making a turn on 6th street. It’s a wider street and probably has less traffic. For refrigerated loads, do not break the seal until they inspect it and authorize you to do so.

For truckers they have overnight parking at frontgate for ppl coming from birminghim side take exit Al-21 N brodway then make left on 4 th street then go straight and on industrial st there is enterace gate they open at 7:45am parkings are sideby frontgate my appt was at 8 got empty at 8:30am when you enter the gate come all the way to back then take right you see a garbage box and you see the docks!they have great service for truckers free icecrems inside!

Blue Bell is a fantastic place to visit. You can enjoy the ice cream parlor, where there are many different flavors to choose from. Only one dollar gets you a nice cup of ice cream. Windows near the parlor allow you to look down into the work area. There is also a nice country store right beside the parlor. This makes a wonderful trip for alone time or going as a group! It's a MUST SEE in my opinion 😁
