Tyler C. did a great job replacing our water heater! We called Hybrid Air a day ago and the next morning he got to work. We were in a time pinch with the sale of our home, the work was done fast, professionally, and high quality. Another Plumber in Norfolk quoted us 3X the amount to do the same job, they also charged a fee to get an estimate. Hybrid Air did the estimate for free and did not over charge us.

We had a Trane xe1000 heating and cooling system that is more than 17 years old. This winter it stopped to generate heat. A technician checked and found converter and compressor have issue also low on Freon that means leaking somewhere in the system. Fortunately emergency heat still works. Tell me it is time to replace the system. So I start to shop around. Put request online to three companies at late Saturday afternoon and Kurtis, from Hybrid Air, called me within one hour and scheduled next day morning, Sunday, to take look our system and recommended XR14. The other two companies called me Monday and Wednesday. So I got quotes from all three companies and Kurtis, Hybrid Air, gave me an attractive price. So I decided to go with him. I have no regret to hire Hybrid Air to do the work. They are so professional. When I see they put brand new cover on my carpet in the hall way and stair, I know I am in the right hand. Neal is very knowledgeable and skillful. From discussing our needs and recommending a system through the installation process this company knows their stuff. I cannot recommend them highly enough. If you want a company that treats your home like their own, hire Hybrid Air. Kurtis is awesome. If you are looking for installing new system, get him.

I can't say enough good things about this company, their employees, their level of professionalism, their willingness to go above and beyond their job description on a daily basis, and their overall human compassion and kindness. Kurtis, the General Manager of the company, was the first to respond to me and take my problem seriously when I had been calling contractors for almost a full month just trying to get someone to respond and actually come to my home to evaluate my situation. I had a 25-30 year old original duct work and A/C system, that had been sweating so much due to the high heat and humidity (and lack of insulation in the attic and the duct work itself) and caused a lot of black mold that was spreading rapidly. After an evaluation of the property he conducted himself, he determined I definitely needed a new HVAC system and all new duct work, but he also found that I needed my attic insulated, as well as a professional restoration for the removal and remediation the mold problem. He took charge of the situation, and not only managed the HVAC portion of the job, but also managed the entire project including the scheduling of estimates and work of all the other contractors as well. I didn't have to worry about if the restoration company was overcharging (and they weren't. Based on several other quotes and information from a friend in the business, they actually helped me out SIGNIFICANTLY as far as the price). I didn't have to worry about conflicting schedules between the workers. I didn't have to worry about the people going in and out of my home. At the end of the day, my situation was so bad, the total overall bill between all the contractors was around $25,000. That was a hard pill to swallow, and when Kurtis broke the news to me, I broke down in tears. he took the time to calm me down, express his most sincere condolences, but then reassure me that although the cost was high, the cost and consequences of not doing the work was higher. He coached me through every step of the process, and even took it upon himself to purchase and deliver the new vanity I had to get for my bathroom, and just factored it into my bill. I know this is a novel of a review. But I want to be sure that ANYONE looking for the best and fairest company with the best and fairest prices immediately goes with Hybrid Air. Kurtis, Dalton, George, Neal, Akeem all deserve raises, promotions, and any other accolades available to be given for the quality of care and service that was provided to myself and my family. THANK YOU ALL SO MUCH!

My initial experience with this company was excellent. The installers are professional and knowledgeble and installed my system ahead of when they promised. They stayed for over 12 hours to get the job done. So why 2 stars? The new air handler was larger than my two attic access points. On the one in the laundry room they removed the trim and broke the trim; it was too small to use. They then determined the hallway access was needed. In order to make it work the trim was removed and the ceiling was cut larger to accommodate the air handler. They placed cardboard in the holes and promised to come back and fix the two openings. I have submitted photos to their drywall company over a week ago. It has been 3 plus weeks with no resolution. They never call back as promised and i must hunt them down. It has turned a great experience into a poor one. All issues have been resolved.

Tech Dominic Calmelat is very knowledgable, courteous and friendly. He knew exactly what to do to keep my system running top notch. I will request him for regular preventive maintenance and any other issues that may arise (which of course I hope do not :) ) I have been a Hybrid Air customer for 5 years now and am happy with the brand new heating and air unit with all new duct work we purchased 5 years ago. Called Hybrid Air to troubleshoot the loss of digital thermostat for control of HVAC. TS was fine but estimated cost to replace bad stat with like stat seemed very high. I initially deferred the replacement and found another dealer with same stat installed for 40% less than Hybrid Air’s quote. Hybrid Air’s work quality acceptable but cost of service is way too high!

Technician arrived on time and was friendly. My bill was $499 for adding Freon and cleaning out water drain pipe on ac. Seemed a little high to me considering the job took only about 75 minutes.

We had a pretty bad situation at my house. While we they were able to do well in the crawl space, and changing out an old water heater. The job is still incomplete and I do not understand how we already had 2 appointments to complete it, but still nothing. The plumbers did not finish securing a while in the yard where they dug up and yet still have yet to put a top over the sewer pipe that's in the front of our yard. Honestly it seems like easy tasks. I was told they would be there Monday after thanksgiving, no. We had an appointment made 14Dec21, no show even after I called to see if the plumber was still coming I never received a call back about it when I was told I would after lunch. I'm not satisfied with the work, I paid way more than what I got for it. Crazy, I was told I'd be in good hands, after signing never heard from the guy that told me that and even still not getting the best communication with them. I haven't felt like I was in good hands with them since September. I feel like it was all about the money that I have to finish paying towards now.

Had several regular maintenance calls and the technician (chris) was always early and knowledgeable. When the unit finally died the tech was very friendly and went over my options and we agreed to a fair price. It was long after that the new unit was installed and while some molding damage was done to get the furnace in the attic they were able to get a professional drywall/carpenter to fix the issue.

Before reaching out to Hybrid Air the gas company suggested another company to hook up a line for us. We contacted them, made an appointment and they came over to do an estimate. They gave us a rough estimate of $500-$1,500, but told us they will get back with us right away with a complete cost. The next day they emailed us with a quote of $1600... My husband was in shock with the quote. After discussing the price my husband and I decided to look for another company and found Hybrid Air on Google. He filled out the information that was needed and waited for a response which he received right away. Made an appointment 2 days later. Mind you each situation is different in other homes, meaning the lines they’ll have to connect varies in prices depending what needs to be done and how far the line will have to get connected. In our situation our price came to $800, which we were definitely ecstatic. We scheduled our service a few days later. The gentleman that came over was very professional. And thorough. We are definitely happy with the result. We wanted to recommend Hybrid Air for any services you may need done they are awesome👏🏼 👏🏼👏🏼

Hybrid Air scheduled me the same day to provide me a estimate on replacing my hot water heater. Jammal was a great technician. He answered all my questions, provided me with several options and he was able to expertly perform the job the same day! I highly recommend them and him if you have any plumbing issues.

Wonderful experience with Ryan Marston. He came to do a tune up of my HVAC system. He did a wonderful job of cleaning the system in the outside compressor. Also, he identified the rapid deterioration of my current hot water heater. I plan to have Hybrid replace this heater in the next month and hope Ryan can do the job. He was respectful, informative, and explained my problems in a way that did not me feel pressured, but I knew that he knew his craft well. You are lucky to have him as one of your employees. AC went out. We used Angie's list and found Hybrid Air. They were out the following day. Confirmed it was the compressor on a very old unit that we had been patching up for the last 2 years. We were provided with some temporary units to cool our home until they installed our new unit. The installers worked hard and for 2 days and did a great job.. Still waiting on the heat strip so that are on back order.. Everyone was professional and courteous and we are pleased with this company. Would definitely recommend!

I called Hybrid Air to come check out why my thermostat wasn't working and my heating unit was rattling. I expected a long wait or for them to be able to schedule me in the next week or so, but that was not the case. They had a cancelation because of the snow and sent someone right out.😃 Tommy was the service tech that came out and was very polite and down to earth. Our family was looking for a whole home generator. Many competitors couldn’t obtain the size generator we needed, couldn’t find the appropriate sized transfer switch or were backed up 6 months on install /arrival for parts. This wasn’t the case, they assessed and told me they were able to do the serve in the same day! I called Hybrid Air at 8am because my house was 80 degrees and the day was going to be in the 90s. They re routed a tech and he was at my door within a couple of hours. Job was completed professionally and we were given details as to what was done and what to expect. Unfortunately we had to sleep in 80 degrees, no fault of the repair, (we were told it would take several hours to cool and the high humidity would affect the cooling) but we woke up to a freezing 68 degrees and it actually felt good to step outside in the heat. Customer service was outstanding as well. Our point of contact, Kelly, made sure we were up to date on calls, concerns, and service. She was exceptional in relaying messages from techs to us when we had concerns and reassuring us of things in detail. Price was a little higher than expected but I treat service like I treat my food. I’d far rather pay a little more for a great experience than to walk away unsatisfied. I highly recommend these guys to anyone needing HVAC service.

Hybrid Air stood head and shoulders above competitors for their fast and professional response. Hybrid Air’s serviceman, Chris, was early for the scheduled appointment and conducted the consultation very professionally. He presented all the options. He also offered and delivered temporary window units until he could complete the installation of the new A/C compressor. Installation was completed on time and he hauled away all the old parts. All contacts with Hybrid Air was a breath of fresh air, especially Chris. Hybrid Air is highly recommended for their genuine care for their customers.

Rescoring this review from a 1 to 4 star. The GM and Install Manager came out to my house to look over my concern with water dripping out of my unit on to my kitchen ceiling. The GM listened to my concerns and the two of them spent time looking over my system and determined that the air handler fan speed was too high creating a lot of my issue. They also determined that the line set was too small for the unit in my house. They adjusted the fan speed and replaced the line set at no cost to me. We are now waiting for a hot and humid day to verify that the issue is resolved. I really appreciate the company stepping up to make this right and earn back my trust. Will change this to 5 stars once we have confirmed the issue is corrected.

The technician, Bryan was awesome. He was very professional and listened to what I had to say. He was honest and upfront about the possible problem with my hot water heater. He didn't try to automatically sell me a new heater. We both agreed to try the fix to see if that was the problem instead of replacing the hot water heater. Hybrid air installed a tankless water heater. They were efficient and their quality of work was exceptional. When they came indoors they removed their shoes and cleaned up after themselves. The only complaint was they arrived closer to 10 am than the 8 am time they were scheduled. I would highly recommend Hybrid Air. Good quality and a great value.

The service technician was great. I am disappointed in the HVAC unit in that this is only 1-1/2 years old and a part broke. I was also disappointed that I paid for a maintenance contract that did not cover this part. My 3rd disappointment was that 6 days prior I had a technician here for HVAC winter check & then 6 days later, the first cold day, after the Inspection, the entire system failed. I have a dual heat system so imagine my surprise when the heat pump & gas heat both failed. The 4th disappointment was having to pay for the repair. So much for a maintenance contract !

We were pleased with the overall experience we had with the installation of our HVAC unit. During our initial meeting with the representative (Dan), all of our questions were answered, and the price quote was in line with the others we’d received. We scheduled a date for the installation and the team arrived at the appointed time. The installation seemed to be going smoothly until it was time to install the electrical disconnect. I was told that the disconnect they brought from their shop was defective, so one technician left to get a replacement while the other stayed to continue the installation. Once the technician returned (from Virginia Beach) they continued and I was told a little later that the replacement disconnect was also defective. By this time it was getting late in the day (around 5:00), so they were going to leave but said someone else would be coming back to complete the installation, but they weren’t sure if it would be this evening or the following day (Sunday). I contacted Dan to inform him of the situation and he told me that he would have the on-call technician come out the next day, which we agreed was fine. The technician called the next morning to tell us he was on the way and arrived on time. He diagnosed the problem, and informed me that there was nothing actually wrong with the disconnect, and that all was needed was for the installation technician to install two fuses in the disconnect. He wasn’t sure why that wasn’t done, and guessed that the technicians had never seen this type of disconnect before. So, my reason for this rating is because I think the job could have been completed in a more timely manner had the installation team been better prepared.

We worked with Hybrid Air to completely replace our existing HVAC system. They were very quick to get us scheduled and had the entire project done in one day. They installed a new Trane AC unit and Trane gas furnace. So far our new system is running incredibly and we have felt a huge difference in the quality of life at home. Great Professionalism and Customer Service !!! Neil came out and provided a free estimate, and listened to everything that I wanted: Ductless Minisplit Ac/heat unit Etc..in specific location in my garage. Neil provided detailed estimate and broke everything down in laymen’s terms. Then During the install the “Lead Technician - Matthew came out and did a excellent job installing the Mini split both on the interior and exterior etc…looks like it was always part of the house (very good install job!). Great Job : Matthew and Neil! I would recommend this company to anyone based on my experience with them.

In a previous home, my whole HVAC went out in the middle of winter while I was out of the country. The owner personally took it under his wing to ensure I was taken care of and on time so I had a warm house when I got back home. At my current home, I was having troubles with my AC. They got a technician to my home within 12 hours during peak of summer, and the technician troubleshooted into the night to ensure we were taken care of. Tom, the technician, was not only extremely helpful but very friendly and warm. There is no other company in Virginia Beach I would rather take care of anything in my home. They offer exceptional service that can’t be matched by anyone. If you don’t choose Hybrid Air and ask for Tom, you’re making a huge mistake.

He got me a master electrician from JWM who came out and got my installed a brand new breaker the same day!!! I cannot say enough about this company!!!!

Highly recommend hybrid air, the technicians were punctual, professional and friendly. I was having an air distribution problem, three out of my four bedrooms were getting close to zero AC/heat. These guys came in and did a fantastic job! The ducting in the attic looks 100 times more organized now and every room in the house matches what the thermostat is set to, thanks again guys😁

Our previous AC company that operates out of Portsmouth diagnosed our mini-split system and indicated we needed a new outdoor unit. This was the middle of June. For the entire Summer we were told that the unit was back ordered and no units could be located. Three weeks ago I decided to contact other companies and received a quick reply from Hybrid Air. Dean came to evaluate the problem and immediately checked a supply house and they had the unit in stock and it was in CHESAPEAKE! Frustrating part is that they had the units all Summer while we withered in the heat. Today, New unit installed in 5 hrs. New exchangers for 7 heads and surge protector were included in price. Very happy with Dean and this company!

All in all, Hybrid Air was a great company to work with. I replaced a 20+ year old Janitrol, 4 ton heat pump unit and refrigerant line set, with a much more efficient Trane unit. The initial quote was much higher than I expected, but they were willing to lower their price to meet the competition. After coming to terms on price, their installation team was out in 2 days (end of January). The job took 6 hours to replace the outside unit and the air handler in the attic. The team was courteous and clean, and I have very little to complain about on the quality of the installation. Bruce was my salesperson, and he was very engaged in making sure I had multiple options and tried to find ways to improve the overall comfort level of the HVAC unit in our three level home. Overall Hybrid Air was very responsive, courteous, and competitive.

The workers who arrived to my home were polite, introduced themselves with their names and got to work. The work was done much quicker then I anticipated and I had brand new duct work and was running heat once again. I purchased my AC through Hybrid last Aug. Very Satisfied. Received my second AC check up visit today that was included with that purchase. The Technician today was Shawn P. I mentioned to him that my humidity level had not improved with the new unit as I had expected. He immediately knew what to check for. My unit has a sub cooling capacity of -8. He inspected and found my capability was only set at -1. Over the years I have had and known many A/C techs. This guy knows his stuff. I am 100% satisfied with his work today and very pleased with the responsiveness of Hybrid Air Inc, to continue to look after me as a customer.

Kurtis, the Service Manager, and every other employee who has worked in my house has been stellar. We recently had them install a new AC system as well as new ductwork under the house. Tim, the technician who installed the AC, and the men who worked under the house could not have been nicer. They were so efficient and respectful not to mention did an outstanding job installing. Jammal Lindsey is a phenomenal technician. He definitely knows his job ins and outs. He was here to fix a toliet, leak in the sink, and a leaking pipe on the water heater. He took one look at the vents on my water heater, and knew it was not up to code, could trap moisture, and allow carbon monoxide to enter the residence. He called it in with everything else under the home warranty program. Then, he fixed everything to perfection and even put new piping to the hot water to fix the entire pipe since it was badly corroded. Jammal went above and beyond. His level of work was 200% and definitely up to the task. He was absolutely awesome and I highly recommend him. I wish I had known about this company before the repairs were made to my gas lines and furnance vents. I am still waiting for a callback from the management because I wanted to tell them in person how fantastic of a job Jammal did.

Thank you Hybrid Air, Inc.! I'm a disabled veteran, and I have limped along, far too long, until my AC system quit. The entire system was antiquated, and I knew it required a complete removal and replacement........., and I also knew the costs would be significant.... I had a few estimates, and when I had the Hybrid representative, Neil Jordan, come by and view everything involved, I was instantly sold on the company, we spoke frankly on what I needed, he answered every question ,and provided well advised suggestions. I'm a retired ex-nuclear machinist mate in the navy, and DETAILS (the things that typically trip consumers up) are paramount in my mind. I was convinced after Mr. Jordan gave me all the time I required to be clear on all aspects of a heating and cooling removal and replacement, along with a need water heater replacement. As you might imagine, these services can be substantial in regard to cost, especially for a single aging veteran. Hybrid offered a solution for that also. Financing, through what happened to be my bank, made this all a no brainer.....from a fiscal standpoint......, the warranty is important as well, and I have faith that they will stand behind their work, extremely professional....... Still have to do the work though, right....?? Well, I mentioned I'm an Ex Navy Nuc lol...........I appreciate all engineering .....the work by Hybrid's 2, two man teams that came in and made quick work of the removal(s), and the installs are flawless, almost a work of art, the fit n finish professional, and everything works right the first time. Both teams, the Plumbing and AC/Heat, made me comfortable with the operation of all aspects of my systems, and the their components. I look forward to a relationship with a company I now trust and believe in. Lastly, I have 3 dogs, that are used to roaming freely, having doggie door etc, but not seeing many people in my home, and I asked John (who scheduled everything) if he could make sure the techs were dog friendly, as it would have been difficult to isolate them all, my dogs loved them, and they were very engaging with them, all while being in and out, clean, and thorough. I initially hired Hybrid Air to unstop our Kitchen sink and to fix our heat because our heat was not working. The guy was certified to do both jobs but could not fix the clog in our kitchen sink. He advised us to call Atomic Plumbing because they will have the large drainer to unstop it. I was a bit surprised because I mostly hired them to do both jobs, but they couldn’t follow through. This meant I had to pay another diagnostic fee to another company. The man was able to fix our heat. He was very polite and explained what he needed to do each time he came over. I like Hybrid Air. I would have given them 5 stars if they did the plumbing too. I would definitely refer them for HVAC issues, but not for anything else. It would have been more of a savings to hire a company who can fully do all three (plumbing, electrical, and HVAC) as advertised.

He did a cleaning and inspection and he took the time to explain what was going on with our A/C unit, which had been running at poor performance and making loud buzzing/humming/trickling noises for the past few days. I am in the process of selling a condo and the HVAC did not pass home inspection. I had to quickly replace it and HYBRID was able to get a new one installed in just a few days. Installation went well and everything works fine. My only complaints are that the front panel of the furnace no longer fits properly and was secured in place with an adhesive tape. I didn’t notice this until after the technician left. I think he should have brought that to my attention. Also, he replaced the thermostat, which is fine, but he took the old one with him. The old one was virtually brand new as I had installed it a couple weeks earlier. I would have liked to have kept that one.

This company is top notch. We’ve used them since we moved here three years ago and they are extremely professional and easy to work with. They always send you an email letting you know when your technician will arrive along with a picture and a short bio. They are always on time and always friendly, especially to my little dog who loves to attack their blue foot booties! We had a recent problem with our AC and when they couldn’t get the part immediately, they brought out two window air-conditioners and installed them, even taking the time to tape up the side so bugs could not get in. I am very pleased with this company and highly recommend them.

I took bids from 4 different HVAC companies to replace 2 residential furnaces and 2 heat pumps. From the initial bidding process to the complete installation, the process was seamless. The sales rep, Dan, was extremely knowledgeable and offered great advice on which of the available systems was best suited for my specific application. He was not pushy; he simply offered the information, offered his recommendation and clearly justified why. From my own due diligence, I learned that the quality of installation was as important as the quality of the equipment. Hybrid uses only highly rated Trane equipment and the installers did a very professional job. The installation wasn’t slapped together as quickly as possible, but rather the installers took 2 days for a very thorough and professional job. The work was scheduled and completed within a week from the time I authorized the job. The installation team arrived exactly on time each day. The crew was very clean and respected the interior of my home throughout the installation. They also kept me abreast of the progress that was made. The staff was very courteous and respectful of my wife and I. I am completely satisfied with the work done at a fair price and highly recommend this company. I have used several other HVAC companies in the past and each time I have experienced either shoddy work or been gouged by price, experienced underperformance and enough no-shows for jobs to make me very wary of HVAC companies in general. I experienced none of this with Hybrid and truly believe I have found a winner with these guys. Oh, and lest I forget, their work included 2 years of service and maintenance check-ups on the equipment.

We had our HVAC system replaced about a 1 1/2 ago. Dan Baxter sold us the system. When we had an issue with our a/c working ( due to our pour drainage from our condensate line...not anything they did wrong) even though it was almost two years since he sold us the system, he stopped by on his way to work to make sure we were okay. Greg and the team at Hybrid air were great to work with! I went to visit my sister in Chesapeake a few weeks ago on one of those scorching hot days only to find that her house was pretty uncomfortably warm. She called Hybrid air and they had Matt come out in the morning. After he fought off the wasps that had moved into the outside unit, Matt gave us the grim news that the entire system needed to be replaced. Matt was quickly on the phone and arranged for Greg to come out the same day to talk about replacement options (all of this was on a Saturday!). Not only did Greg come out to rural Chesapeake to help out my sister but he went to Virginia Beach and back to bring us temporary units to use until the system was replaced. The replacement of the HVAC unit was quickly and professionally done and my sister and all of her pets were again living comfortably. This all happened during one of those weeks that my sister was on her own and I felt that she was treated fairly and in a professional manner and informed about her options. I went home last night to find I had no heat in my house. I called Hybrid Air as we have a maintenance contract with them. I spoke with Ben (the owner) who asked me to call the emergency number and if I did not hear from a tech within 30 minutes to call him back. When the tech called, my husband had begun to troubleshoot the problem and spoke with the tech and Ben explaining what he had found. We knew if the tech came out we would be spending money for a trip charge and may not find anything that could be fixed without parts. What I was really impressed with is that both the tech and Ben were willing to help my husband with troubleshooting over the phone to see if this was something he could fix himself! Project: Install or Replace Ductwork Hybrid air showed up for the initial estimate on time, went through the entire crawl space taking pictures so I didn't have to go under myself. They explained the problems with the current system and what they would do to make it right. They also offered to through in a spring service tune up for both of our units. I had 3 companies come out to bid the job, one guy didn't even go under the house, the other company was very impressive and tempting with their products and their price was identical to Hybrids. The fact that Kurtis from Hybrid also went up in our attic to inspect and find that our return duct was disconnected was the thing that locked down the deal for them. My brand new Trane hvac had not worked good since it was new, that was a problem that the original installer never even bothered to find. Don't waste your time with installers who don't pay attention to detail, sure, you can find somebody cheaper, but you may end up like me, paying for it for years without realizing what the problem was. as they say, pay me now or pay me later. These guys are pros and they came out with a big crew to get the job done as quickly as possible and they did a nice clean up at the end of each day. Update...I connected with the CEO of Hybrid Air and at the end of the day, they made right all issues. He promptly got involved to resolve all issues to my satisfaction and no extra cost to me other than a little of my time. I was not aware that Hybrid Air provided plumbing services, but they came up as a recommendation on Home Adviser. I hired them to solve some plumbing issues at my home. John from Hybrid Air came and quickly diagnosed a toilet problem. He said the toilet needed to be replaced. He replaced the toilet and did not ask me what type of toilet I wanted. I assumed he would install a similar toilet. Instead he installed a smaller toilet. I was a bit taken aback. So I said I was not satisfied. I wanted a similar toilet. So the next morning he comes back out to replace the toilet. I had to go to work so I left him to do his work. So I get home in the evening to find an elongated toilet as I had wanted, but the base was too long and he cut the baseboard and drywall away at the back of the base of the toilet to get the toilet to fit! I mean he jammed it in there. It is a total mess. No telling what it is going to cost me to get this all fixed. I will need to find another plumber to install a toilet of the right size. I will need to have the drywall repaired and baseboard replaced and painted. The wall will need to be painted too. It is a friggen mess. Stay away from Hybrid Air. They do not know the plumbing business!

We had just had a horrible experience with a local contractor I will not name. He quoted a reasonable rate for a complete replacement, however, he didn't show up when he said he was going to after I had scheduled this installation for my mom who lives in Chesapeake and she had taken time off of work. I cancelled our service and called Ben. I will admit I know Ben but he has always just been awesome at what he does and he really knows his stuff. He offered to get someone out the next day. He installed a high efficiency Trane system and was very clean. He didn't leave behind anything. If your going to spend the money to have a new system you should hire someone that you know is put together, and will do a professional installation. Ben and his team were very professional and i would recommend them to anyone! They have more positive reviews than any other contractor in Virginia Beach or Hampton Roads for that matter. Why would you trust any other contractor?

These guys are great. We found them on the Service Magic website. Though I called on a Saturday afternoon, they showed up within two hours and gave us an honest estimate within 30 minutes. Though the news was not what I wanted to hear (new coil unit), Chris laid out all the options in case I wanted a more thorough system test or wanted to try to hold off on replacing the coil. We decided to get the big repair done, but decided to call around to make sure we were getting a good price. Sure enough, one of the big local competitors (S&K) told us that our estimate was far below their best price, so we went ahead with the replacement. Our only gripe with Hybrid was that they initially said they we would be there on Monday afternoon, but later called to switch it to Tuesday morning -- not the end of the world, though. In the end, we got a good price with very little hassle. We would highly recommend them.

They did do excellent work, but basically checking the unit and cleaning the ducts for $1800 seems like a lot. Unfortunately I’m not a person who has lots of time to comparison shop and get estimates. Just come in, be reasonably priced and do your job. The AC still hasn’t gotten below 75 yet, so I’m reserving judgment.

When we initially purchased our system from Hybrid Air, we were happy with the results. They did a nice job installing the system and followed up the next year to ensure that everything was working as it should. However, we just recently (10/27/14) had them come out for our yearly "Tune Up" and I wasn't happy with the results. Ben contacted me and he listened to my concerns. Long story short, Ben went so far as to offer me a complete refund, but I took him up on his offer to send out another technician. We specifically chose Hybrid, because we wanted a small, local, company who would treat us like a customer and not a number; so far they are living up to those expectations. My only regret is that I didn't contact Ben before rashly posting a negative comment. Ben and Hybrid deserved an opportunity to get it right and I'm confident that's exactly what they'll do. You can't ask for better customer service than that and I have a renewed trust that I can rely on Hybrid Air for all of my HVAC needs.

I live in northern VA and was unable to come to the VA Beach area to help with replacing my Mom's HVAC system. After dealing with 6+ HVAC companies, we settled with Hybrid Air. Spoke with Kurtis (manager) personally several times after their initial evaluation to ensure they were going to complete all the steps essential when doing a successful install. He pretty much answered all of my questions and concerns before I was able to inquire. We had several obstacles to overcome between access for the air handler, outdoor unit and several electrical challenges. All were met in a professional and the least expensive manner. Not being available to witness the install, it was expressed by my sister that the installers were extremely courteous to her and my 1 year old niece. She felt very comfortable with them during the install which speaks volumes. With the weather having been getting quite a bit colder, Kurtis had a team of four installers out to ensure things would get done asap. All looked great after and everything was cleaned up afterwards. Can't thanks these guys enough! 5+ star company and personnel.

As a 8 year repeat customer as well as having the entire system installed by this company, I was surprised when I was told I would have to pay $400 for a basic condensation line unplugging with a shop vac. Found my water heater leaking in garage yesterday morning, by the afternoon they had some out to repair (only waited that long because I had an appt I couldn’t miss). The technician John was absolutely great, came explained everything and made sure the entire job was taken care of. Unfortunately, for John the job turned out to be a case of “Murphy’s Law”. The when removing the old tank he accidentally hit the old valve and water sprayed in the garage. He was so sorry (told me probably 100 times). He helped me wipe things down and even left a large blower to help dry everything up. A piece of exercise equipment was damaged, but John and the company reimbursed me for that. When he went to place the new water heater in it was found damaged, again not John’s fault it just came out of the box that way and the box had zero damage on it. He left and came back with another heater and replaced it. He put a pipe in place while he was gone to make sure we at least had cold running water while he was out. Once the pipes were fixed and the 2nd new water heater he was very efficient with installing. He took time afterwards to walk me through how the system works and how to set up and restore if the pilot goes out. They made it right with everything before they left. They are even going to have an electrician come out to make sure the electrical in garage is fine. I couldn’t be happier with the service!!!!

John was awesome, very professional, and explained everything. The reason I'm giving three stars is while he was assessing the job (installing a shower diverter and shower set), he spoke with his boss (about pricing and the job scope), and I clearly heard his boss ask if there were "other" things he could do as well. I asked John about this, and he said he was supposed to ask about additional jobs that could be accomplished, but from my standpoint, this could also be someone asking to add "unnecessary" work just because. I researched the prices of the diverter job prior to having Hybrid come by and I expected to pay about $500-$600, but the job was $750. They did provide all the materials (shower handle, faucet, shower head, diverter, and piping), but the price still seemed a little steep after what I read through. Install went great, and everything is in working order, so that's great.
