I hired James from Allied Complete Furnace and AC to install an air conditioning unit, a gas line to a kitchen range, and add duct work to my home in Kenmore, WA. From the first contact over the phone to the completion of the service James was great to work with. He explained my options and had reasonable pricing. My first priority was to install a gas line to prepare for a new gas range that I purchased. James installed the new line using iron pipes instead of the less sturdy flexible pipes. When James came to install the air conditioning, he also found many issues with my current HVAC system, such as my furnace exhaust was never properly hooked up to the roof, the furnace was installed using taping, and some additional code violations. James fixed these code violations even though it wasn't part of his job. He also installed an air filtration system to my furnace, which is very helpful to maintain the house clean and will be nice during wild fire season, since it also filters smoke. James also found that our Nest thermostat was missing a power supply wire, which sometimes would cause the furnace to shutdown unexpectedly. James was also able to fix that. When it came to the air conditioning unit, he was very clear on my options and explained about a better value unit with a great warranty instead of trying to just sell the most expensive product. Our house has an addition that did not have the duct work. James quoted me a reasonable price and we decided to add ducts and vents to the addition. James and Roberto (carpenter) installed the ducts and a booster fan, to make sure we had good air flow and did an amazing job even matching our vents with the rest of the house. We have hardwood floors and they were very careful with our floors during the install. After installing the system, James explained everything that was done, and how my system works. It’s now been over a month since the installation, and everything has been running smoothly. I’m very happy that I chose Allied to do this work for us, and plan on using them in the future, and recommend to friends and family.

James is very experienced in tracing a problem down and fixing “ just “ the issue at hand causing the problem. Most large companies of which I have worked for don’t do much else other than replace parts until they get the issue fixed if ever. This cost YOU much more money and is not how a technician should repair your system. I have recommended Allied for many years to everyone!

James was able to come same day, upfront in costs for repairing my heat pump, thankfully in a heat wave. He is courteous and easy to communicate with. I highly recommend you call next time you need a repair, or new units. Also said he does water heaters.

James is a true professional. I called him the other day as my furnace was having intermittent issues, wouldn't spark so NO HEAT! My furnace is older, so he talked through with me what the options were, including repair and replacement. I told him I'd like to just repair the unit, and he mentioned a few things I could try myself before spending the money on a service call. I was able to take his advice and get the furnace working again! I will still be using James to service the furnace before we end up selling, but I wanted to thank him for the professional help. 1/3 - 1/2 of the cost of a local reputable but corporate HVAC company. It took James less than 10 minutes to determine I had 3 leaky fittings. The tech from Greenwood didn't even look at the fitting and quoted $2100 to fix. James honored his previous quote but fixed all 3 flare fittings. He also did a solvent wash on the condenser at no extra charge. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

James has come to work on my furnace twice, in two different houses. He is prompt, polite, honest, and does the work that needs to be done efficiently and professionally. You seriously can't go wrong with getting Allied to fix your heating and cooling issues, including installing brand new systems! I recently thought there was something wrong with my furnace because it was making a funny noise, so James battled morning traffic to get 20 miles to my house, only to tell me that the noise was from the electronic filter, which needed to be cleaned! Then he noticed that our Nest thermostat wasn't installed correctly, and a door on the furnace wasn't fastened completely, and fixed those for us. He has an eye for taking in the whole system and noticing right away what needs to be done. Call Allied for all your heating and cooling issues, now!

Our furnace quit over the weekend. On Monday we had a technician from another company look at it. Naturally, we hoped it could be fixed. But he estimated the repairs would cost nearly as much as a new furnace, for which he gave us a ballpark estimate. Then we thought about James. I called him that afternoon and told him what was going on. He got some information from me and had me text pictures of the old furnace. He called back promptly, had me get a measurement, and gave me three options for a replacement furnace. I chose an upgrade from the one we'd had, but with the PSE rebate (which he told me about), it was less than the estimate we'd received earlier. He said he'd be out the next day at 2:00 to install. Welcome news when you have no heat in January. He was as good as his word. He called the next morning to say he'd be early, and after texting to say he was on his way, showed up at 1:00, ready to go to work. After he confirmed the problems with the furnace, he got busy. Except for a trip to get a necessary part, he worked steadily and expertly to install the furnace, necessary venting pipes, and filters, as well as a new "smart" thermostat. By 6:00 we had heat, and by 6:30 he was done. All cleaned up. Old furnace disposed of. Then he sat down and spent considerable time helping us complete and submit the rebate forms for the furnace and thermostat online. Our final cost matched the estimate exactly. No hidden charges, no drama. We have a new and more efficient furnace, and a genius thermostat that knows when we're home and tells the furnace about it. James is a knowledgeable, friendly, honest, heating and air conditioning guru, and I'd definitely recommend him to anyone who's in need of HVAC service or repair. I can't imagine a better choice.

Called another furnace repair place the day before Memorial Day and they told me it would be $300 just to come out on a holiday weekend. Then saw reviews on James at Allied and called him. He came out on Memorial Day, found the problem with the furnace, got the parts the next day and charged under $200.00 The other place basically told me to call back on Tuesday when they were open. I didn't want to wait since my furnace hot was hot when off. I would call James before anyone else. You won't be sorry!
