Watts has been so great to work with! Everything was so straight forward and easy with their team, from scheduling, communication, to the repair service and billing. Everyone I interacted with was friendly and professional. They fixed the ductless A/C at our small business and we are so happy that it ended up being simple and quick after getting the runaround from so many other companies. Will definitely be calling Watts to set up annual maintenance and would 100% recommend them!

All customer service was excellent. Our heater wasn't working in winter and it was uncomfortably cold in our house. Despite many other companies being booked up, Watts was able to schedule us an urgent appointment very quickly. Their technician was super nice, efficient, patient as he answered our questions, and explained everything in detail. Their pricing seemed high to me for labor at first, but their pricing and value was explained and I believe their pricing is fair. This was our third time Watts has helped us, and we really appreciate their work. Employees we have dealt with have always been terrific.

The fireplace looks really good now after the servicing, and I feel confident in the work he performed. We got our A/C and heating system maintenance done and we had an excellent experience. Brandon was the technician. He was very very professional! He called in advance and let us know the time he will be at our house. He was very courteous, wore booties every time he entered our house. He was thorough in answering all the questions we had. They also double-checked their gas line for any leaks, and made remedies as needed. Brandon was very thorough and helped me with the message on the thermostat saying to change the filter (it has stayed on even when the filter was changed), as well as letting me know that the filter that one of the techs a few years ago must have been the wrong size. I bought the same size and the filter keeps falling off the bracket into the air shaft. I will exchange the one I just bought to a larger size to replace the one that is there now. Watts is fabulous. A few years ago they were recommended to us and we contacted them to install the 17 year old furnace. This was right before the pandemic, and during the pandemic they reached out to all their customers several times just to ensure they were doing ok, which was appreciated. After the a/c went out that next summer it was natural that when the time was right, we would get a quote from them. Their quote included everything needed and a great product at a reasonable price. Today was the day! I received a text they were on the way and two people came. I showed them where everything was, (including the bathroom and water!), and let them do their thing while I worked in the back room. Hours later, all done! I closed up the house and could feel the cool air seeping into every room. Yay!

We were given Watts name as a preferred company by NWNatural gas. We needed a gas line shut off installed. It took a month to get an appointment and then the tech was unable to install the shut off. Needs to come back but no idea when. Once the job is completed I can give an accurate evaluation.

I first contacted a different company recommended by my neighbor, but two full weeks later, still no call from their coordinator. I submitted an online request via Watts HVAC website on a Monday night, received a call on Tuesday afternoon, and was scheduled for Thursday morning. Brandon called to let me know his arrival time, serviced the unit, answered my questions about the filter sizing and provided a solution to my problem. Very much recommend this business. My central AC went out late in the day that was in the upper 90's . Called at 8:05 am this morning, technician came promptly at 11, diagnosed and resolved problem on my 23 y/o unit and left by 12:15. "Bubba" was prompt, courteous, friendly and knew what he was doing and finished his work expediantly. He explained everything as I showed interest in what the problem was. I got more than I expected. They discovered that our water heater had been installed incorrectly, and had caused a small electrical fire in the furnace. The technician was extremely nice and professional, redid the wiring which had caught fire, showed us everything, and even made a trip to the store to get a heavy duty extension cable to make sure this couldn’t happen again. I was very impressed by the service to be honest, and felt a lot better afterwards. It’s also nice to have AC again.

Kevin came out and spent some time figuring out how to make this happen the easiest and least expensive with all the obstacles we had. Gabriel came out and did the work after trench was dug. I smelled gas coming from the pipes to our tankless water heater. NW Natural came out, confirmed a significant leak, and turned off the valve until we could get it repaired. I called Watts, and got an appointment scheduled for right after the weekend (found the leak on a Friday). Jordan came at the beginning of the window they gave me. We could not be happier with Watts HVAC! We own and operate an adult foster home for seniors with complex medical conditions. Our AC went out in the afternoon of a very hot weekend and they were able to come the next day by noon! We called about six other companies and no one could come help us until two days later. Going without AC for longer than a day could literally put our residents in the ER. Thank you for your fast response which insured we could provide a comfortable environment for them to live in and easing the stress this caused us. Bubba and the office admin were very helpful!

I recently texted Watts to inquire about whole house air purifiers and got a reply within minutes. I asked a multitude of questions that were answered to my satisfaction. Asked more questions, got more good answers until final question was referred to another team member for more detail. No surprise I was called back promptly. Watts does indeed install Reme Halo LED air purifiers and was able to provide a unit which they installed during an already scheduled air conditioner maintenance service. Bottom line: My inquiry was attended to quickly. Follow up phone calls confirmed availability and scheduled appointment. Pricing was less than anticipated (researched other options to compare cost). Installation was performed efficiently by masked & gloved friendly technician. System operates as detailed and will be maintained by Watts Heating & Cooling as necessary I continue to be amazed by the superior knowledge of professional and friendly staff. Response times are great and commitment to quality work is refreshing. A great big THANK YOU to McKenzie, Luke, Adam, Lisa and anyone else I overlooked from an always pleased customer!

I can’t say enough nice things about our experience working with Watts Heating. Mackenzie was great to work with scheduling, Loren, the owner and Luke, the technician have been amazing sending me detailed emails answering my questions. We have had so many pool people, NW Gas people, etc working trying to resolve this issue literally for a year. Thankfully NW Natural finally referred us to Watts Heating. Luke came in and diagnosed the issue and once the regulator arrived he came out and not only installed it but also reached out to our pool technician and to the Pentair pool heater manufacturer to make sure everything was running correctly and everyone was on the same page. Impressive. On time, professional, but did an interesting thing - took video talking himself through the diagnostic, then at key stages of the repair. So I have those, so I can see, or share with other repair people, exactly what was done. We have a tankless water heater - they did the 'fire side' tune up, we'll still have to call a plumber to handle the 'wet-side' tune up, but overall, I'd recommend them. On tankless, had this 11 years, half its expected life, best hot water decision we ever made.

We initially called Watts to evaluate our 19+ year old furnace. They were upfront about the cost to fix vs. the cost to replace and even though it was a higher cost, we decided to replace with a more efficient furnace. Barry came out to give us an estimate, he was on time and very knowledgeable. We chose Watts over other estimates because the price was competitive and because Barry covered all his bases during the estimate by asking simple lifestyle questions to determine our needs, giving us three different options at different cost points and alerting us of items they would fix that weren't up to code. I called the office to schedule the service and McKenzie was very friendly and helpful. Josh and Keenan came and did the install. They showed up right on time, were very respectful and got the job done 2 hours earlier than expected. By the afternoon we were up and running again with our new Bryant furnace. A few days later we received all the necessary paperwork in the mail for our tax rebate. From start to finish, this is a company that treats their customers and the community right. Every interaction we had was pleasant and professional and we love our new furnace. Thanks Watts!

I had no heat. Like from Watts Heating had a quick and accurate diagnosis showing thorough knowledge of my system. This was better service than the original installer of my system who were not aware of a service bulletin on my furnace that covered the work under warranty. I had Watts install a new high efficiency gas furnace, central A/C, and tankless water heater. The Tyler crew were very professional, and the installation looks great. The wires, ducting and hoses are all well routed and placed inconspicuously. I had gotten several quotes from competitors, and found that Watts was priced very well, and offered top of the line equipment. I cannot believe how quiet this new system is compared to the one it replaced. I highly recommend Watts Heating and Cooling and will not hesitate to use them in the future.

We had an excellent experience with Watts Heating and Cooling. Setting up an initial estimate, scheduling the install was very quick and easy. Many other places are booked so far out that the wait just for an estimate alone was hard to justify. Luckily someone told me to try Watts! During the install there was a bit of a hiccup. Our range hood got scratched. The part that stands out to me is that when I contacted the office about the problem they promptly replied with what they would do to make things right, along with a date to fix or replace the hood. The owner came out himself and I’ll be darned if he wasn’t able to fix it perfectly! I was so impressed with the professionalism and the repair that was done. Luke showed up at the time appointed and stayed until all service was done. He patiently explained what needed to be done and why, showing me the parts that needed repair or replacing as well as thoroughly cleaning all systems. He provided the cost before beginning each step. The day following his service call, I received an email with before and after pictures of the parts worked on and short videos describing the work done on each system. We even agreed to paying a much higher OT rate, but Adam was ahead of schedule and he was able to come out during regular business hours and it saved us quite a bit of money. First let me say that both the person taking my call and the repairman were very courteous, polite and professional. I had them out to repair my gas water heater that had a pilot light that would not stay lit. I know this to be the cause of a bad thermocouple and mentioned that to them when I called. The repair completed 20 minutes after they arrived (replaced thermocouple), the bill was $362.91. The service fee was $150. I did not have an issue with that. The part was itemized at $212.91. When questioned as to why the part was marked up 1200%, it was explained to me that this included the hourly cost of the installation as well "based on a national average" and they would not disclose the actual cost of the part. Again, the service was quick and efficient. The service person and office staff were polite and professional. When having a professional company do a professional service, I expect to pay professional rates. I do, however, find that these rates are incredibly inflated and the inability to itemize the service for what it truly was takes significant unfair advantage of the consumer.

Luke just finished up an emergency call for us because our AC blew up. This was the second company we called and I am so happy we called them as we still haven't heard anything from the first place. They were here within an hour at 8:30pm on a Sunday! Luke was a godsend. He identified the problem, documented with pictures and video that he sent us to keep for our records, and made sure we were completely satisfied and informed on what happened and how he fixed it. He did a check of our entire system to ensure it wouldn't happen again because of an underlying issue and was so incredibly kind and friendly. We chatted a bit after and he told us about the things Watts H&C had been doing during the pandemic- they weren't getting enough service calls to employ all of their people so instead they had their maintenance people do community service free of charge- like going grocery shopping and seeing if their elderly clients needed anything delivered. When the first hot day of the year came around and we turned on our AC it didn't work. We called Watts because they came out in early January to fix our furnace. Tanner, our technician, was professional and very nice. He admitted he usually worked the maintenance side of the family business but we were very pleased with his work. We were warm again! Today Luke came out and he too was very nice, friendly and professional. Luke quickly determined the wire to the AC connection was not fully connected and corrected the issue. My gas water heater went out on Saturday evening. I called Northwest natural gas and they gave me the names of two repair companies. I called them both, left a message at Watts and spoke to a representative at the other company who said the charge for a Saturday night call would be $269. I elected to wait until Monday morning and I got a call from Watts at 8 o’clock and they were able to schedule a technician to come out to the house between 830 and nine. The technician showed up as scheduled, wore a mask and protective gear, which was great as my Dad is 73. Nate the technician explained in detail what was wrong with my gas water heater, quoted me a fair price, and everything was up and running smoothly by the time he left. I cannot recommend this company enough! I never did hear from that second company.

If you want a locally-owned contractor you can trust to do it right, definitely go with Watts. Since buying a fixer three years ago we have gotten a lot of estimates and work for things we can’t do ourselves. Watts has been by far the best service from scheduling through estimates and doing excellent work. They keep you informed every step of the way. They installed a new gas line for our gas stove and an emergency shut off in case of earthquakes. Wish we had them install our gas fireplace, but unfortunately NW Natural pushed a different company on us for install and maintenance calls that we really disliked and couldn’t trust - good news is that we’ll use Watts for our fireplace servicing from now on and trust that they take time to understand the problem and fix it right the first time. The property management company arranged Watts Heating & Cooling to arrive after 5:00 PM. We were the next customer; Luke pulled up around 6:30 PM Luke arrived with a smile, friendly and apologetic for showing up late. Absolutely not, no apologies needed as it was my fault. Luke’s experience rendered a quick look and diagnosed the problem quickly. From Cedar Hills to Lower Boones Ferry his round trip was efficient thanks to his knowledge of the back roads. I called Watts with an emergency furnace issue and they were able to fit me in last minute. Luke was right on time and set to work diagnosing the issue; replacing ill fitting parts that had been incorrectly installed by another company, and performing tests to make sure everything was finely tuned and operating properly. He explained what he was finding and what needed to be done every step of the way so that I could understand the issue and feel confident her was doing everything that was needed to solve it. He was also able to detect a dangerous blockage in our furnace chimney and recommended immediate action. Since the service, we no longer has a smell of oil coming from the furnace, the hot air is coming through the ducts with a much stronger flow, and the air feels significantly cleaner. Watts Heating & Cooling was recommended to me by NWN after they did an inspection of my gas heater and gas fireplace. Both of which needed new valve controls. I received a call the day before my appointment by their office to get information about my appliances and to verify that the scheduled repair date/time we agreed upon was still OK. Luke called me the day of my appointment and arrived on time. He was very respectful of the current covid-19 issues, of my property, and my neighbors *having to repark to make sure he didn't block in anyone. Luke was very knowledgeable about his job. He answered all of my questions in a thorough and polite manner. During our discussion I was able, with his 33% rule, to determine which appliances would be best to repair, replace, or postpone working on. Now is when Luke earned his super hero cape in my eyes. Due to no fault of his own, things went wrong. We couldn't find the main water shut off to my townhouse. He called the city and worked with my HOA to locate and dig, YES DIG, a couple feet down to find the shut off. He was given the wrong part by a supply company even though the serial numbers matched, making him drive back and forth to get the right part. To make things more difficult, my water heater is on the third floor inside a closet of a bedroom. Not easy to drain. Through all of this he worked hard, had a good sense of humor, and even stayed after hours to make sure he got the job done. I will always call Watts Heating & Cooling for my repairs. I was treated more like family than a customer. From the very first call everyone I dealt with was polite, eager to work, and knowledgeable. BONUS: Even if you don't get Luke, no worries. It's a family run business dedicated to making sure everyone working there is on board with training. Passing down their work ethics, information, and making sure that the job is done right.

My HVAC system is 2 years old, but has not operated correctly. The original one did. I have had original owner and his lead tech. out several times and they fixed some things [installers did not attached the Air Handler to the duct properly was one], but in the interim they sold the business. Initially, I checked them out and found no issues. I found them through on of the referral services that are advertised. I have used those services in the past for other projects without problems. [To settle my folks' estate in Washington, I fixed up their rental to sell it at high market value vs. as a flipper and the same to their Condo]. I have had other 2 other Companies out, but did not get the answers and solutions I needed. I contacted Watts and at first Bubba? came out and saw areas that needed attention. Due to some physical limitations, I can no longer crawl under the home. Bubba, then made arrangements for Barry Robinson, their system designer, to come out. Right off Barry determined the problem. He immediately gave me the confidence that he knows what he talks about and this was backed up by the years of experience he has had in the business. This is an older Doublewide Manufactured Home and I was not getting proper air flow from all registers. The Air Handler that was used is for regular residences and not a Manufactured Home. Plus it was not installed correctly to the duct system. In turn he specified the proper unit and other fixes to the duct work and sent a bid. I have chosen Watts to do the work to correct the air flow to all the rooms. It is a costly mistake on my part, but I will make it up in energy savings and income I will receive later when I rent out one of the extra bedrooms. My Power Company did supply a free Smart Thermostat with free installation. I bought extra sensors and those solved part of the issues, but not all. The old HVAC unit had a major breakdown that rendered it not fixable, especially since it used the old refrigerant. I am extremely happy at this point with Watts, have an install date, and look forward to working with them. In addition working with their office has been a breeze, especially McKenzie. ~~marca

First, I gave them a key to get into my house while I was at work. They left zero mess; in fact, I couldn't even tell the work was done until I opened up the closet to find the new furnace. In a city that is growing and changing by the minute, its hard to find specialized trade solutions that are reliable, knowledgable and responsive, not to mention local and family owned! With an extensive history of temporary fixes, contradictory opinions and dozens of wasted hours cleaning an electrostatic filter to validate my opinion; I highly recommend the small, but mighty, team that comprises Watts Heating and Cooling. I can't explain why our furnace died on the first big snow day in 2018, anymore than I can explain why our air conditioner died during the hottest day of the summer in 2018. However, I can explain that I'm the kind of person who will put time into finding companies with whom I can establish a working relationship and, subsequently feel confident to call upon whenever a need arises. Hence, when I came home to a 60 degree house on the first snow day of 2019, my first call was to Watts. Luke was at our door within 20 minutes. He had the problem solved in the next ten minutes and heat was restored within 30 minutes. 1. Please note: Its a good idea to make sure that the exterior air intake is not obstructed. This may require periodically checking that your dogs have not buried their toys nearby and inadvertently blocked the area around the air intake pipe. 2. If you happen to have a "Smart Furnace," it is also a good idea to confirm, after you have originally download the App, that you have taken the steps to link your email to the software. If you do this, the 144 messages communicating there's a problem with your furnace will actually reach you. 3. Thank you, Luke!

First, this is posted by Elaine, not Jonathan. I don't know why his name popped up. Anyway, I called Watts because the fan on our heat/air conditioner wouldn't turn off. The only way it would turn off was when we flipped the circuit breaker. Their young man came out the next day, turned on the breaker, looked at our thermostat and said - here's your problem. The fan switch is turned to on instead of auto. It runs continuously until you turn it off. If he had flipped the switch handed me a bill for $100 and left I would have been very upset. Instead he took the time to check the entire system using his equipment to be sure it was running within the proper parameters. Then he programmed the thermostat we have never been able to figure out in the 5 + years we've lived here. So, for my money I not only got the switch turned to auto, but got a complete check of my entire system and my thermostat is now programmed to day and night, summer and winter. A very nice young man who took the time to give us good value for our money. I definitely recommend Watts to anyone who has heating/air conditioning problem.

Watts is a family business that we have used for quite a few years now. Their work has always been excellent - we've never had to call them back because a repair wasn't wasn't right. We have always gotten great value for our money. There is a minimum 1 hour charge which is normal. one time the work took less than an hour so the young man decided to check our thermostat and make sure it was programmed the way we wanted so that we'd get our full hour of work. Who does that any more? Sadly we have moved to Salem and won't get to use them any longer. On 04/02/2015 I had furnace/air con work performed by a Portland company under a special program sponsored by NW Natural for which I paid $218.00. The service was to include furnace cleaning and tuneup and air conditioner cleaning and recharging. While servicing the air con the technician listed under recommendations "found condenser fan out of balance, need to replace motor and fan blade and verify operations." He suggested that he call a rep of their company to give me an estimate, which was $7108. I called Watts to get a second opinion, which was everything was in working order. It's a testament to their integrity and honesty that they saved me over seven thousand dollars. Over a year later and one of the hottest summers on record the air conditioner is still running great and keeping the house cool.

We had our house built in 1983 and thru the years have had many experiences with Service companies , very few would rate as well as our experience with Watts Heating and Cooling. The Bryant gas furnace that we had installed in 2010 failed on the 11th of Dec of this year that was a Sunday so I went on line and located two service [providers and left messages with their answering services, on the morning of the 12th of Dec I was called by Watts Heating and Cooling , an appointment was set up for the 13th of Dec in the early afternoon , I was told by Brandy at Watts that if anything would change she would inform me . I received a call early Tuesday morning from Brandy stating the the Tech would arrive between 10:00 and 12:00 , at about 10:40 Luke Watts called and said he would be there in 10 to 15 minutes which he did , he located the problem and resolved it . I would have to say that Watts Heating and Cooling is one of the companies that provide very professional service at a fair price , and I have already arranged service on our cooing system this coming summer based on the way that they do business.

I called WATTS when I found out about this and they were able to give me a choice of three different units they could install, for three different price ranges.
