The customer service of this company is phenomenal! Good phone response and personality. I needed an emergency AC repair and called on Friday, but they were so busy that I could only get an appointment for the following Wednesday. However, they had a cancellation and were able to move my appointment up to Monday! The technician (Brent) was very efficient. He quickly diagnosed the issue and found a rusted out pump. He replaced it and checked the entire system to make sure everything was working perfectly. He was very nice and cordial and was super quick. I will definitely use Clawson again for any of my heating or cooling issues.

Clawson helped me with a furnace issue on a weekend. The dispatch and the technician were both very friendly and professional and I appreciated being able to get on the schedule quickly. They even did a follow-up visit when my furnace shut down again a day later. My only 2 criticisms were lack of transparency on pricing during the job (I was very surprised at the amount of the bill) and even after 2 visits and all that $, I had to call another vendor.... it was a simple pressure switch that needed to be replaced (not likely a clog in the ventilation). I did appreciate their attentiveness, however.

Whenever I need repairs of any kind I worry if a company will be professional and have integrity. Will they try to sell me something I do not really need and charge me outrageous prices? Well, Clawson Heating was fabulous! My service man was Philip Johnson and he was very honest and professional. Thank You Clawson heating& Air you guys are seriously a life safer! Our Ac fan motor broke the other day I called schedule an appt. The next day Brett came few hours early (thank goodness) diagnose in less than 5 min. We ordered the part & was told possibly next Monday but literally got a call next day that our part was delivered & they came back and installed it all within an hour. Price was affordable out technician Brett was professional and quick I am so happy we got it fix before the heatwave next week.

Furnace went out Friday night. I called Clawson and we agreed since the temperature was fairly mild to wait until Monday. They arrived on Monday and did the troubleshooting and installed a new thermostat for really a very reasonable price. I have a contract with them and got a discount but I was pleased that the technician figured out the problem and had a new thermostat on hand. I've had Clawson for about 5 years now. They installed my AC last winter and a whole heat pump and AC in my rental. I am satisfied that they do a good job for a good price.

My heater went out, and with this cold snap I was worried I might be without it for at least a few days before they could get to me. I was surprised that they could send someone out right away since I am a preferred customer because I have a service contract with them. The technician was here about 30 minutes later and had me up and running very quickly. He was extremely professional and knowledgeable. Every time I have used their services I have been more than satisfied with their professionalism and service.

I needed two AC repairs in the span of a little over a month. Both times the AC failed it was unfortunately in the middle of a heat wave. I did research online and found Clawson, and am glad I did! They answered my call and Angel on the phone is very friendly and nice to talk to. Both times they came out either on the day I called, or the very next day. Based on other reviews their prices seem fair, and the AC has been working like new since they worked their magic. Phillip helped with our most recent problem and was great to chat with and ask questions while he was working. Very kind and genuinely cared about getting my wife and I feeling cool again. Would highly recommend Clawson and Phillip in particular if you are needing someone to fix or look at your AC. Thanks!

Our heating bill was enormous last January and our former heating company didn't give us satisfactory service, so on the recommendation of a friend I called Clawson Heating. Phil Johnson came out right away to help us figure out what was the problem. Not only did he give us detailed and educational information and a fair estimate, he also told us that our heat pump hadn't even been installed to code and was getting to the end of its economic life. By this time, in the middle of our extreme cold spell, we didn't dare run our old heat pump because our heating bill would have been so high (over $800/month the way the old heat pump was working). Yikes! In the end, we decided to get a new unit. Yes, it was a huge expense, but we really had no other choice. Carly Moore and Phil did everything they could to get us a new unit because except for a couple of space heaters, we were without heat for over a month in the extreme cold. Clawson's put us on a priority basis; supply chain issues weren't their fault. Finally, in March. we were able to get our new heat pump installed. Tyler Hanefeld and his crew got here early in the morning, and stayed until after dark getting everything working right. The crew cleaned everything up, and left things clean as a whistle. Everything is now working flawlessly and our heating bill went 'way down. I only have the highest praise for everyone at Clawson's. Their responsiveness, friendliness, work ethic, and customer service is outstanding. I don't have enough superlatives when it comes to reviewing this company. Thank you all for your awesome customer service and expert installation. We are extremely happy customers and have already highly recommended you to others. If I could give you 10 stars I would. Or 25! June 27th 2022 We weren't getting any cold air from our unit for some reason; I called Clawson's this morning and Carly had Phil Johnson come today. He arrived right on time and checked everything out. I appreciated that he wore booties in the house. He was able to quickly diagnose the trouble, and had us up and running in no time. and told us exactly what the glitch was. The unit itself wasn't at fault, and we were glad to hear that. I so appreciated Phil's professionalism and his willingness to come out so quickly when he was already so busy. We'd really been having a hard time in the 100° heat; our house faces west, and it's so wonderful to have cool air flowing again. Thank you, Carly and Phil, for helping us out so quickly. Called to get a quote on a new heating and air conditioning system to replace the system that was originally installed over 31 years ago when the house was built. Chris came out and looked at what I had and gave me a bid that was considerably less than other contractors. He didn't try to up sell me but rather explained to me that what was installed was properly sized for the house and the duct size. He quoted me on the same system with Trane equipment. Tyler and Zach installed the new units in two days and I am very pleased with their work and their professional on this project. I am happy that I choose Clawson Heating and Air Conditioning as my contractor and Trane equipment. The whole process from start to finish was the best experience I have ever had with a contractor. I would definitely recommend Clawson Heating and Air Conditioning if you are needing to replace your unit(s) or need service work. This is an outstanding company to work with. When my gas furnace started short cycling and not responding to calls for heat, I called the company that originally installed it. I won't mention names, but they're another local HVAC company. They said they would give me a call back to schedule, so I waited. 4 days later, my furnace broke down and wouldn't start up anymore. I decided to look elsewhere, so I called Clawson. They not only scheduled me right there and then, but they got a tech out to diagnose it within the day. He quickly figured out that the control board was bad, and put an order in for a new one. They also took down the serial number of my furnace and got the parts covered under the manufacturer's warranty. The same day the parts came in, he was back out to install them. These guys took all of the anxiety out of a busted furnace, and everyone from their company that I interacted with was friendly and diligent. I'll definitely be utilizing Clawson in the future.

We bought into the maintenance plan that they offer and the best part is that you get service the day of when you have a heating or AC emergency. I called at 7 pm and Justin was awesome! Clawson is awesome !! My air conditioning system quit working during this record breaking heat wave we are having in June of 2021. I have a service contract with them and get priority scheduling but due to so many people having similar problems they said the earliest they could get here was the next day in the late afternoon. About 10 minutes later I got a call from them that a technician had finished a service call early and could be here in about 15 minutes. Justin came and got my system back up and running in about 30 minutes and I an so very very thankful for their outstanding customer service and I will definitely keep renewing my yearly service agreement with them.

I have an older heat pump system that I inherited when moving in 6 months ago. Clawson came out the day after I called. They placed the home on "Emergency Mode", so I would be warm. They advised what parts needed to be ordered & scheduled their return. A few days later, they came out & did the repair. Their technician Philip is wonderful! He's very thorough & polite. I highly recommend Clawson for all your HVAC needs. I will be calling them again for future needs.

Clawson installed a brand new Trane AC unit and furnace in my home. Removal and install went pretty well although we suffered from the same supply chain delay issues that affected everything else this year. Clawson offered to speed up the process by providing equipment from a more readily available manufacturer, but I waited it out. Installers were friendly, knowledgeable, and efficient, and when maintenance was needed, there was an immediate response from a professional, courteous, and effective team. Prices were slightly higher than average, but you get what you pay for with this company. They even resolved problems created by other contractors! (On a related note, be careful using Willard Power Vac Inc to have your ducts cleaned) When work was needed, they scheduled someone to come out the next day, and Brent spent extra time to make sure all our problems were resolved in a very thorough and clean manner. I had an issue with my heating and air conditioning system, it was working one day, but the very next day, I couldn’t get it to come on. I took a look at it, but I just didn’t see anything that was obvious wrong. So, I didn’t know who to get ahold of, but my sister-in-law said that they had used the Clawson Heating and air conditioning company, so, I gave them a car, but I didn’t know if they were going to be able to get out to me very soon, because it was late in the day. But when I spoke with the lady who answered their phone, sh said that they could have someone come out the next day, and we set up a time, the technician was right on time, and he even called me about 20 minutes before he arrived, when he got to my house, I took him out to the hvac system, he did his inspection of my system and he quickly found the part that wasn’t working, and it’s really wonderful to have them come out so quickly and then find a problem in just a few minutes and it’s really not very easy to get anyone to come out so quick and then find your issues fast. These people are really just the best people you could ever want to do business with, they’re right there when you need them to be. I don’t think that I would ever call anyone else, because they are really very reasonable and right down to business fast and friendly very helpful and professional staff. We have used a different company for the last 10 years. Our furnace was serviced at the end of September and we were told that everything was fine. Two weeks later, our furnace would not turn on. A technician came and found a lot of rust (which had never been mentioned by any prior tech) and said we would need to either do a major repair or replacement. We ended up with a truly ridiculous quote on replacement. We called Clawson for a second opinion. Brent checked everything thoroughly. After a couple hours, he had it fixed. The system's air intake was stuffed full of leaves - something our previous company never checked in 10 years! I called in on a Sunday and had a technician in my house within 2 hours. Again, this was a Sunday when the office is only open for emergencies. After ruling out a couple of variables, we decided together to reschedule time on Monday as some poor home wiring needed to be redone. Chris was back the next day and finished up fairly quick. I moved here from out of state two years ago. I have always had Trane equipment in the past. I reached out to Trane and they recommended 3 area dealers. I received quotes from the 3 different vendors before decided who would be selected to install my new Furnace, Air Conditioning, Air Filtration and Hot Water Heater. Clawson was by far the most value for my money. They additionally had been recommend by two of my neighbors who have had service and installation with the company. Matt took the extra time to do a detailed assessment of my current system and make recommendations that would best suit my home. He conducted a thorough review of my existing units and then we went into a long conversation about what I would prefer going forward. We determined that additional duct work would be needed for the A/C install as the exterior location of the compressor unit was best situated on the opposite side of the home from the utility room. I wanted everything located near the other Utility access points next to the driveway. Farther from the bedrooms to eliminate additional noise. Neither of the other companies I met with were willing to do that work on my 1920 home. Neither even mentioned air filtration options or asked me anything about indoor air quality needs or preferences. Both other companies came in slightly higher with their bids, while supplying less options for my equipment. Hands down Clawson was clearly the best choice. I signed the contract and on we went. Because of supply chain delays on needed components (thanks to the COVID pandemic) we selected an installation date a little farther out than would be normal. I was fully aware of that. All details were actively conveyed to me in a pleasant, professional and timely manner. When it came time for the install I was consistently kept updated by Carly at the office about my installation date and the arrival of my install crew. For day 1 through 3 the head of the installation Crew, Carson, also always contacted me each morning to let me know he was on his way and provide their ETA. This allowed me time to take my pets outside before the arrival of the crew so the rest of the day they could sleep. Much appreciated. Carson led the installation team and could not have been nicer, more efficient or more dedicated to doing a superior job with both the installation or with training me on the various intricacies of the new programmable thermostat, the shut offs, the new filter system and everything else I needed to know. His partner on the install was Owen, who is evidently newer to the crew. Owen was equally diligent, kind and professional. Over a three day period I had removal of my old furnace and hot water heater, additional wiring, placement of a cement pad, plumbing and ductwork installed, and a completely new installation and hook up of an Air Conditioning system. Last summer and winter were horrible without Air Conditioning and an efficient Furnace. Additionally the air quality during the fires and allergy season was pretty miserable. In the epic heat waves or ice storms ahead in years to come I take great comfort knowing that my home will be more pleasant to enjoy. I would like to complement the entire crew on my job. They were wonderful to work with and left the work areas so tidy you would never know they were there. Thank you thank you thank you. I called Clawson and another company for estimates.Clawson showed up on time to inspect and make their estimate. They had a better price and never complained about the tight quarters where my furnace was located. (the competition said I would be the lowest priority because you can't walk up to the furnace. Six weeks out and my furnace motor was freezing up already) Clawsons crew showed up in about a week (8 days I think) and got straight to work cutting my old furnace out of its concrete pit under the house. They got my heat running that night and were able to finish the entire project the next day. The crew was very upbeat and friendly to me and each other and never complained about anything. They even brought me a basket of chocolates and Clawson coffee cups. I realize that cost is built into the margins on the job but it was a lot more personal and far better than the $300 off voucher the competition offered me for my business. Clawson They had to add a dedicated circuit and routed the wires where I wanted even though it was harder than the way they wanted. Again no complaints! There were many other things I would like to say about the crew and how well they represented their company but I will sum it up with excellent attitudes and I am VERY happy I chose Clawson. I should add that it is during covid and these guys wore masks and kept their distance the whole time.

We have a service agreement with Clawson. I like that they call us when it is time to service the furnace for the winter and the air conditioner for the summer months. We had a problem with our AC operating correctly, and felt it was a faulty thermostat. Setting up an appointment was easy, with the contact at Clawson being extremely friendly. On the appointment day, as promised, the tech, Phillip, called prior to arriving, as promised. Phillip was so friendly, even patiently explaining and showing us how to operate the fairly complex thermostat. We did not need to replace the thermostat (demonstrating Clawson does not sell you what you don't need!). Phillip then checked the heat pump to see if it was ok, and discovered a clearly ruined capacitor. Fortunately he had a replacement in his truck, and installed it. On June 26, 2021 hottest day in history for Portland our AC (heat pump) went down. We put in an after hrs call to Clawson’s. They called back immediately. Tech then called us to verify what was happening and said he would be out within the hour. He arrived in 43 min. He was professional, personable, listened and answered our questions, very efficient. After a 2 day power outage due to recent ice/snow storm, Clawson's technician was able to come out within 24 hours of a call to repair the furnace they installed about 9 months before. The power surge caused the thermostat to stop communicating with the furnace and consequently no heat. Luckily, the surge protector we had installed initially saved the furnace from damage. I like Clawson's, so I will give a straight honest review. I called them up and was given a quick appointment time the next day to repair my AC. The technician came out and replaced a capacitor and tested the coolant pressure, this all took about 15 minutes. The cost was $328. The service call was $108 and the capacitor was a flat cost of $220 for parts and installation. The AC is working great. The only thing that I'm not happy with is the capacitor cost $5 and it took all of about 1 minute to install. I do believe that I was over-charged for the services that they provided, I'm just not happy with the price I was charged to install the capacitor. That said I asked Clawson to fix my AC and they did and it works great, but next time I will probably go with a company that charges according to the job at hand. It's like paying $100 for a crew-cut.

Our AC copper pipes were freezing - wasn’t sure what was going on and didn’t want to make it worse. Brent came in and ran some tests to find out just needed a new a filter. We didn’t think it seemed that dirty but now we know that it was dirty enough to decrease the air flow that caused the AC to freeze. Don’t wait 6 months to change your filters lol. 3/26/20: Let me start by thanking Clawson Heating & Air Conditioning for coming to our home on short notice to diagnose what we suspected in our 20 year old furnace that it required replacement. Clawson's representative technician as well as support staff traveled to our home to review all furnace options based on the unit efficiency criteria we initially provided as well as reviewed the installation parameters. Although most companies will try to upsell products, Clawson's provided sound financial advise based on our heating needs and unit costs based on unit efficiencies and lifetime savings. After selecting a unit, Clawson's installed the unit exactly on the date and time communicated. The installation technician was highly proactive with social distancing and cleaning with wipes at all times due to the Covis 19 time frame of our furnace installation. In summary, our family highly recommends Clawson Heating and Air Conditioning's professionalism. We will use Clawson Heating & Air Conditioning for our future needs.

We had a new heavy duty Trane air conditioner installed by multnomah heating and cooling last summer, Just to have it die on us during the first day of a heat wave this summer. We called Multnomah and they could not get us in for a week, so I called Clawson and they were able to come that day at 3 PM for emergency service. Turns out that when it was installed, they didn’t turn some knobs tightly enough and the refrigerant had been slowly leaking out, causing the pipe to freeze over. It cost a pretty penny to get emergency service and to refill the refrigerant, but it was worth it! I couldn’t have my baby and toddler sleeping in 88° bedrooms!
