Great company to work with. I got 4 quotes from main local area companies and SOS was the best price. The price quote was quick and he explained all my options. A week later my install of a new Furnace and AC went very smoothly. The two gentlemen that installed my new system were both very friendly and did a great job installing everything. They had the whole system install done in one day and cleaned up after themselves and left my utility room cleaner than when they arrived. There were no surprise "gothcha" expenses and I was never pressured into a more expensive system than I wanted. The whole process went very smoothly from start to finish. My new system is quieter and way more efficient than my old one and I am really happy to have gone with SOS. I highly recommend them for new systems and will be using them for my system maintenance as well.

Great experience. I had contacted a few companies to install a ductless mini split in an area of my house that needs supplementation. The other companies never even called me back. Thankfully SOS did. Jake came by to give me a quote. He was very profession and knowledgeable. Was an excellent communicator and followed up promptly when he said he would. I didn’t get any other quotes but I felt the quote he gave me was fair and I really went with it due to everything I just mentioned. The installers who came by were also very profession and did an excellent job. The unit works great and looks great from the outside installation onto the house. We have used several heating and cooling companies and most required their technicians to try to sell you something on every visit. We were sold a very expensive electronic filter system that didn't work but was part of a sales contest. Their techs would tell customers they needed to have this installed. The $680 electronic filter didn't work and 6 months later had to be removed by another tech. We fought with that company and received a refund. When our furnace needed to be replaced we went looking for a company that had a reputation of being trustworthy. A friend recommended we call SOS and we did. We had them install our new furnace. They exceeded our expectations for the quality and pricing of the furnace and the expert installation. It has given us years of problem free performance. We use SOS to do our matenance check ups for our air conditioner and furnace every year. Their pricing is reasonable. Beware of other familiar companies that advertise the lowest price just to get into your house so they can sell you a new furnace instead of checking and/or fixing the one you have. I feel that since most homeowners have no idea what is involved in maintaining or fixing Hvac, so we can be taken advantage of. That is why it is so important that we choose a company that is trustworthy. SOS is that company. Don't fall for the we will check your air conditioner for a cheap price companies so they can get in your house to sell you a new air conditioner you didn't need. That happened to my neighbor this summer. Don't you fall for the Okey Doke (the con) instead call SOS a company that you can trust with all your Hvac needs.

SOS Heating & Cooling has been around Omaha area for many years. It is family owned and was started by the grandfather, then his son and now his son (Jon). In this case, my interest was to simply replace an old tired heat pump, yet our furnace was only 8 years old and was still good. I reached out to them via Angie's List and Jon was very responsive and built the quote on his laptop during the walk through visit. His bid was about $100 lower than the other lowest bid, but there was a much stronger value in the product and support. They installed a 3.5 ton York heat pump that is manufactured in Wichita (USA made) and they bundled a service contract for 10 years on parts and labor. -That is one heck of a value proposition. The system was ordered and arrived in about a week and we set up installation date. His technicians are very experienced and one of the guys has been with the SOS family 41 years and the other 44 years. I love that about these two! One of them said he sees his teammate more than he sees his wife!! LOL They were accommodating, informational and they laid protective coverings on the paths in the house so the floors/carpets didn't get dirty. Both know the precautions regarding COVID and wore their mask the entire day except while working on the heat pump outdoors. Without reservation, I would encourage you to get to know the SOS family and do business with a local that earns your respect immediately and throughout the process. Hands down 5 stars!!

SOS was a pleasure to due business with, Jon came out quickly after our AC shutdown on Fathers Day, with multiple options for a complete removal and replace. All priced competitively. Rudy and Jim were here first thing in the morning and had it up and running before I returned home from work. They were professional and personable. Even notice the small steps, I made to make their job easier. If you need to make a repair and replacement, use this company!!! If your furnace is over 18, it’s time for it to move out!!! This is a review of SOS Heating and Cooling, but first let’s start with this. About three years ago while living in AZ I had my HVAC replaced with a YORK brand. After the install had been completed everything worked but I wasn’t satisfied with the quality of their work. They agreed with some of my concerns and returned twice…still not great but again it all worked. A year later the house next door also had the HVAC system replaced and used the same YORK product but this time had a different installation crew. I looked at this installation and although some things were better others were not. At this point and with two examples I concluded that this was simply the ‘industry standard’ for HVAC installations and let it go. Now living in Omaha I wanted to have my outdated HVAC system replaced. Having been pleased with the YORK brand I proceeded with it but had low expectations for how the installation would go. Here I could list many of the items that I felt were poorly done in AZ but that would take a lot more lines of text to simply say, SOS didn’t repeat any of the concerns that I had in AZ. Using words like great workmanship, exceeding quality, meeting expectation’s and customer satisfaction I realize can be considered personal taste and subjective but I can say this; I would not hesitate to recommend this company or to use them again if needed. Lastly, unlike AZ there was a requirement to have the equipment safety inspected by the utility company and this was done today, as expected; passed inspection.

After reading so many positive reviews we decided to accept the SOS bid from Jon. I asked him if he could send out experienced installers. He sure did! Our 2 installers (Rudy and Jim) had 83 years of combined experience. After meeting them we knew that we were in good hands and everything went smoothly. They are an impressive pair. The cost of a complete system for a large home is pricey and you want things to go well and the equipment to deliver as promised. After a few months of trouble free service, our system runs quietly and efficiently. The experience with SOS H&C went very well from start to finish. From the very beginning of this project SOS proved to be a first class company well above the competition. Starting with the estimators, they arrived on time, assessed the situation quickly photographed and documented the needs of the project and returned their bid within 24 hours. The bid was several thousand dollars less than the next lowest bid. Once I accepted their bid, they stayed in touch with me and together we scheduled the best time to do the install. Given that this was during the xmas new years time frame, and the weather in Omaha was getting colder, SOS responded quickly and installed withing two weeks for me receiving the estimate. The workers who did the install, arrived on time fully prepared to complete the work in one day with minimal interruptions to our daily life. They actually hooked up the electric without shutting off the main breaker so that there wouldn't be interruptions to our power supply. Truly above and beyond the call of duty. The workers extremely polite, friendly etc.. They moved some furniture without complaint. Kept their work areas neat and cleaned up after themselves. Every aspect of the job was professionally done, wire runs were neat, coolant tubes cut to length and bundled beautifully, compressor leveled and wired. At the end of the install they took the time to walk me through the operation of the mini split. This was a first class job well done, where they also applied for a $175 rebate from OPPD for me. None of the other four companies that I requested estimates from even hinted that that was a possibility.

I used SOS at the end of last year for a furnace and A/C installation and was impressed from the first initial contact thru the end! They do not pressure you to purchase anything you don't need and theymake sure you understand the system. I have a split level home with a big master bedroom over the garage that only has one heater vent - they let me know that they could install a blower where you can direct heat to my bedroom. Very knowledge able and professional!!!

Our AC stopped blowing cold air after a recent storm. We called SOS and we tried a few quick fixes the wonderful woman on the phone recommended we try. Unfortunately, that didn't do the trick and so we made an appointment and got added to the cancelation list to potentially get seen sooner. Our technician (Connor [sorry if I spelled your name wrong!]) was prompt and professional and got our AC up and running in just under an hour or so. The capacitor had blown (likely a combo of old age and a power hit from the storm), but thankfully that's a common issue with ACs and easy enough to fix. Our AC started blowing warm air the other day (in July!). Woke up to a sweltering house and was in a bit of panic before work trying to get someone out the same day. We have a newborn at home so no AC in middle of Summer was a no go. SOS was able to come out same day and fix the issue (new fan motor and capacitor) for a VERY reasonable price. They were there when they said they'd be, fixed the problem very quickly, and we were sleeping like babies in a comfortable 70 degrees house that night! I just purchased my house a few months ago. This was my first major issue. My AC went out and it was caused by my thermostat batteries being out. They pointed out that my capacitor was also not doing too well. I did not feel pressured to get it replaced or fixed. I liked the guy who came over. He was nice and professional and quick. It was not there for too long at all and got everything working better then it was before. I found out my thermostat was reading the room temperature at about 10 degrees colder then it really was. So when my house was at 74 on the thermostat it was really 84. I woke up this morning and it was at 74 and felt cold as hell. I love it. Now ever thermometer I have says the correct temperature according to the thermostat. I will recomend this company to anyone who asks. I hated that I had to pay an overtime price because it was late in the evening but he was fast and did not try to get extra work done that was unneeded.

My mother had a Ruud heat pump installed about 5 years ago by a different company. It recently stopped working so we called out Standard Heating and Cooling. They said that it would be $6,500 to completely replace the unit inside and out. That wasn't acceptable in fact unbelievable. So I called SOS. They came out, diagnosed the problem and found that the coil that needed to be replaced was under warranty. Labor and freon weren't covered, but the total cost to us was under $500. Very honorable people. Beware, some of these HVAC companies compensate their technicians on their billings. SOS doesn't and they do a great job.

I’m new to Omaha and just started calling HVAC companies listed through a Google search. It was after 5 on a Friday and they were the only ones to answer. And they proceeded to talk me through how to fix the issue (I had accidentally cut the thermostat wire that runs to the furnace and, after splicing it back together, the HVAC still didn’t work). The problem ended up being a small cheap fuse that fortunately saved the whole system. They probably spent an hour texting me and calling back and forth to solve the problem. And this was all late on a Friday night in the middle of winter when I needed my furnace. I cannot thank them enough. Genuine, honest, wonderful people.
