I have had poor experiences with a couple other companies in town from previous services. Our family had to replace our AC and furnace, so we decided to go through Costco and it turns out to be a very good decision. I get a better system and price compared to the others. Not only that but I get Costco cash card for my purchase and excellent service from A-1 United. Grant and Jake were very professional and courteous. The installation of the furnance look very good and so much better than the previous system it replaced. They were very thorough throughout the installation and took their time to do the job correct. I highly recommend A1 United they have a complete installation process to ensure the system is installed and working correctly.

I thought of A1 first when I needed a new system, but contacted 8 other companies for bids and suggestions. I had estimates from 7 other companies with 5 different brands. It took me longer to wade through all the information than I expected, but Jim F was very patient with my questions and was very clear on what was possible verses what he recommended. His advice was greatly appreciated. When I did make our decision, he was able to make arrangements quickly and clearly. When installation time came, Chris B and Jacob A were prompt, kind, and detail oriented. I was very comfortable with them in our home. A few others came in whose name I don't remember, but absolutely everyone was professional and a joy to work with. Installing a complete new system was nerve-wracking, but this team made it easy. I definitely will recommend A-1 United to anyone for any service.

I had trouble with my AC unit and I called United A1. Ben Micek went to the house, inspected the unit, and had me completely taken care of within about a weeks time - even in the heat of the summer when they were really busy. He also included a special and had a new furnace installed at the same time! The level of customer service was more than outstanding. Installers Chris and Jacob nailed the install with ZERO issues. The new units were installed exactly on the scheduled date and time and Chris and Jacob provided excellent service. I couldn't be happier with this purchase. I feel really well taken care of! A1 United has been a blessing to work with since our furnace started having multiple problems in the winter of 21-22. After multiple visits from A1 for repairs, it was recommended that our old system be replaced before this winter. The staff has taken care of us through the whole process. Jackie was always a delight to talk to on the phone when setting up appointments or making payments. Our salesman Jim was very helpful in explaining our replacement options. The technician for our full system replacement was Neal who went above and beyond in his quality of work. Now that we have had a chance to use both the AC and furnace we know made the right decision in choosing A1 and would highly recommend them to others.

Everything at A1 was very professional. The cost of our HVAC system was easy to understand. Once we made our decision, the scheduling for installation was done quickly. The installers shared all important information with me. The follow up visit was done in a timely manner. We are very happy with our new system. Our house is for sale and we are located 700 miles away in TX. Friday, October 21, a real estate agent showing the house reported smelling gas in the room where the furnace is located. She called our agent who called us. I doubted the report but called A-1 United to get it checked out. I talked to Avery who said a technician could be scheduled for Tuesday, October 25. I told him we were concerned about a gas leak and had been customers of A-1 United for more than about 40 years. He then paused and got back to let me know a technician would be available Friday evening. (A-1 United may want to review protocols for handling reported gas leaks.) That evening, Steve called to let me know Eric would be at the house to check the leak. Later, Eric called to let me know there was a leak in the main line to the furnace. Apparently, pipe compound at a fitting was failing and was allowing gas to leak. He repaired the leak and assured me the problem was fixed. We are grateful for the service and the fact that same day scheduling could be arranged. I was told that a call to MUD would have resulted in the gas being shut off and no repairs being made, something I didn't want to have happen since there is no one in the house and freezing temperatures could result in a problem.

Grant and Jake did a fantastic job removing our old system and installing the new system. They were very knowledgeable and professional. They got the system up and going with it cold so we had heat back to the house. Overall very happy with our service. Thank you!

I recently called and spoke with Ben Micek regarding a dryer vent in my attic that was flex pipe and completely frozen. He quickly got me in touch with the service manager who explained the issue and resolution that was needed. We got something scheduled only a couple days out. The service team, Austin and Brayden, showed up right on time and completed the job in less than an hour. They were professional and courteous and did not leave a mess, you wouldn’t have even known they were there! The hard pipe was installed perfectly and insulated so this won’t ever happen again! I would highly recommend A-1 to anyone looking for a company to do the job right!

Kevin came out in a timely manner to assess our furnace when it stopped working. He was honest and made sure to check everything out. I figure with the age of our furnace it was dead when it stopped working Thursday AM. An hour after Kevin diagnosed our furnace as needing to be replaced, Ben came out and priced everything out. He was upfront about pricing and explained everything really well to us. He was also very quick with all his work which was appreciated. Grant and Jake were both very professional and considerate. They worked efficiently to get our HVAC replaced when our 31 year old furnace died and we needed heat in our home before a cold snap for ourselves and our baby. We had heat by 3pm on Friday after they worked all day to get it up and going which was great turnaround time in my opinion. Both of them were thoughtful when it came to shoe covers on our carpet and putting drop clothes down to minimize dirt in and out. Grant came back Monday to finish things up and went through all the details with me in terms I understood having no HVAC knowledge. Overall A1 United Heating Air and Electrical did an excellent job.

I called and scheduled a maintainance for the furnace. They sent out Mark Conner (A1 United Tech) about two weeks later. Mark was friendly and knowledgeable. He got right to work and explained the process thoroughly. I asked labout the furnace humidifier and for a fee he added that inspection for me. Mark took out many parts of my furnace, inspected and cleaned them. Then after reassembling it, Mark double checked everything worked as it should. Mark was up-front with the cost for the service and he explained what to expect for the Spring maintenance of the air-conditioning system. Mark also answered questions for duct cleaning and provided me with coupon to save 25 dollars off the cleaning service. Really happy with the scheduling and Marks quality service. Thanks!!!

A1 United did a great job of updating me on time of appointment and when tech would be heading my way. Tech arrived on time and let me know what the issue was and fixed it very quickly and went over how to use humidifier going forward. Also had an electrician out to fix some outlets. He quickly switched them out and had the right color outlets for my kitchen. Everything is working great and can’t be more pleased with the work they did for me. I will certainly be using them again and telling friends and family about my experience.

When our heater gave out last month, we were really worried about the stress of having to buy a new system. But with A-1, it was painless. Joseph was thorough when teaching me about why my heater was overheating and shutting off, how the mechanics of it worked, and even showed me live video of my cracked heat register. After talking with him and learning a lot, I felt confident in his opinion that it was time for a new heater. Ben was a confident and honest salesman. He helped me feel like an informed buyer by presenting all my options and walking me through the pros and cons of each. It was a low-pressure situation because he presented me with all the possible prices for any combination of heater and A/C systems, including with or without financing. He suggested I replace my 19 year-old A/C so that I didn't have to pay extra labor fees in the near future, and I'm so glad I took his advice. We had problems cooling our home last summer, and the new A/C has seemed to eradicated that issue. Installation occurred the very next day and we had new heater and A/C systems by the afternoon. The technicians were friendly and efficient. They even came back the next day to install some vents in my storage room door at no additional charge, so that my heater passes its inspection with MUD. If you don't know who to call for heater and A/C issues, call A-1. And even if you THINK you know who to call, call A-1 instead, because I can't imagine a better experience in an otherwise stressful situation.

Ben with A1 United and his team are just the most reliable and professional team you want to work with. Our AC stopped working early June during one of those 110 degree weekends. I actually called Air Serv Elkhorn first, the guy came out, told me I had a bad AC compressor, then want 4000 dollars to replace that one part. When the AC is almost 20 years old, repair cost around 4000 is just not a good choice. So I checked on Costco AC options and Ben with A1 United came the second day to provide a free estimate. Ben is so knowledgeable and down to earth. He provided me different model information, compared which option would be good for our house size. He explained how AC works, and what factors to consider when choose one. He even offered some maintenance tips. When the day of installation comes, their team is so efficient and respectful. Now I have a new AC that does not make that much noise and I know who to call when there is anything wrong, because A1 United provides 10 years warranty. I would definitely trust them on any HAVC related issues!

Ben was very informative and thorough during the quote and explanation of services portion. Needing to get my old AC system replaced, I ended up going through Costco who exclusively uses A-1 United for this. Stan came out and gave me comparison quotes to other companies that I had quote me a replacement system, and A-1 came in about $5k less than the others, and for better equipment with longer warranties. Neil and Jake did the system install. They showed up when they said they would, and were friendly and professional the entire time, and had no problem answering all of my questions. The original installers 17 years ago messed up a baffle in the ductwork, and Neil fixed it (massively noticeable difference in airflow throughout the house now). Shawn did the electrical work and was basically in and out before I even knew it. When the install was completed, the logic board on the furnace wouldn't turn on (electronics are fickle like this sometimes, no problem). Rick came out with a new board right away and he and Neil kept at it until the system was up and running. A couple weeks later, Graeme came out to do the system check, and everything was running great. I'm very happy with the entire situation, and would definitely recommend them for future work. I didn't once get a typical salesman-y vibe from them like they were just trying to push a product for an upcharge. Everything was clearly explained to me from start to finish throughout the process, and everyone was more than happy to answer all of my questions. Also, the Coscto discount/kickbacks are pretty great!

Grant and Jake A. installed a new AC and furnace on our home. They were friendly, on-time, and professional. They continually kept me updated throughout the day as to what they were working on and how they were going to get the job done. There was a small issue with a condensation tube being too big so I called A1 that night when I noticed it and they sent out their guy, Graham (he spelled his name differently and in a very unique way but I can't remember it exactly), who was able to solve the problem quickly, efficiently, and professionally! This past weekend when the temperature reached 100 degrees our AC stopped working while we were out of town. We came home on Sunday night to a house that was 82 degrees. I called the emergency phone line and left a message. Jim called me back within a few minutes and advised us what we could do to get our AC up and running. It worked! Monday morning, I received a call from the receptionist who was checking up on us again to make sure our AC was okay. We are so thankful to A-1 and their amazing staff. Needed a full new HVAC system. I contacted A1 via their website. Ben reached out to me the next morning to schedule a consultation. He came to the house and truly listened to me and what I wanted for my system. He then gave me a quote with several options of sytems to choose from that fit my criteri, the price breakdowns, and all of the payment/financing options. He was very thorough in his explanations and gave really great advice. He gave me his phone number to text him if I needed anything. After deciding to go with A1 I contacted Ben and told him which option I had chosen. He scheduled the install the next week. He was in contact with me the day prior to let me know what installers needed of me. The installers Chris and Jake were on time and polite. They gave me a brief rundown of what they were going to do, how long it was going to take, and made sure we were all on the same page. Their install was awesome!!! It was efficient, quiet, cleanly, and very skillful. It was completed slightly faster than what they had told me. They made sure I was happy with it, explained the new system to me, made sure it was working perfectly, and completely cleaned up after themselves. Ben was then in contact with me again to schedule the 2 week system follow up and tell me that he was filing all of the permits and paperwork for the warranty and any and all rebates. He also has checked in several times to make sure everything is and continues to be to my satisfaction. All around an amazing experience. It is always tough making these big house purchases but they were very reasonably priced and provided incredible service in every aspect of the process. 100% would recommend A1 United to anyone in need of HVAC install or repair.

Update May 17, 2022:. I can't say enough good things about A-1 United!!!! I needed service and they delivered. After 20 years of service for me they are still as good if not better than ever! Today was a more complicated repair due to some bad advice from a friend to improve the air flow. Technically the advice worked, but led to bigger issues. A-1 explained everything to me and showed me what was going on so I could see it with my own eyes and avoid making the same mistake. Low and behold I will have more work and eventually a replacement unit. However, they were able to provide a good fix and we are working on a plan for next steps. It is hard to express my gratitude in words, but they made this leas stressful. THANK YOU!!!!!! Original Review: I have used A-1 for over 20 years. They are reliable and I won't use anyone else! Their prices are also fair! They have handled new AC and furnace installations as well as repairs for me. I have never had to call them back out because they get the job done quickly and do it right!

AC went out on a 95 degree day. Warranty company said two week wait. Called A1 and tech on site in an hour or so. Scott Wisniewki was servicing tech and absolutely ran the most rapid and comprehensive trouble shoot I have ever seen. Was out of town during an extreme cold spell and checked my Nest to make sure the furnace was working correctly. The temp had dropped to low 50's, switched from echo to heat and monitored it for a couple more hours. Things continued to deteriorate so called A-1 United after business hours to set up something up for the next day but followed the menu to get emergency services and a tech was at the house at 1:00 AM reporting on the problems. The units were 26 yrs old and I decided it was time to replace instead of paying for more repairs. Estimator was at the house early the next day, we decided on an appropriate furnace/AC unit and temporarily put in the unit to get the heat going by noon and finished the job over the next couple days. Great service and found out after the fact that we were treated fairly on the price. Couldn't ask for more.

I started my experience with A-1 back in August when our AC was acting up and I went through Costco for an estimate. I had Jim do a whole quote for the furnace and AC at that time. Jim was great explaining what type of units we will need and what best suits our house. At that time we were able to make our unit last a little while longer. Extremely happy with our new AC and heating systems. Temperature control is far more even throughout our two-story home. Ben from A-1 carefully presented and discussed options for complete replacement of our 22-year-old heating and air conditioning systems. We had a bid from Jim within a few days of my initial chat with one of their reps at Costco. We had a laugh at the duct work from a furnace install last year that was, as Jim tactfully phrased it, "pretty rough." Jim wrote us up a bid for a new AC, coil, return boot, and HEPA filter. Everything was installed last week and the finished product looks better than our original setup. I'm glad I took Jim's recommendation on the air return, as the rebuilt duct is cleaner and more compact. It has created additional space in our utility room to fit a water softener in the near-future. The install crew was quick, courteous, and walked me through the new system.

Jim came out and looked and what would need to be done and told me what they could do and how they would do it if they did. We needed a new furnace and air conditioning units installed just before Christmas and we shopped around looking for not only a good fair price but a company that we felt would be there after the sale and not just get it sold and installed. One company we got an estimate from started at over $13,000 for both units and added a loft of fluff and buffer to the cost that was not necessary. Made every attempt to sell us up on both units. Second Company said we didn't need new units that we probably could get by for a couple more years. Furnace went out next day Ben Micek was our first contact with A1 Heating and Air and Ben was very professional, friendly, not pushy and very very knowledgeable about the systems. Ben understood out situation and determined that we did not need a high end system and gave us a very fair price for both units. A1's installation team was superior and top notch. We heard a noise in the days after installation and they sent out a Tech to look it over and it was the return vent upstairs that was "rattling" because of the high volume of air that was being drawn back in. Adjusted the vent and it has been great since. A1 Heating and Air systems is the only systems I will recommend going forward -

9 hours! Keep this number in mind. I woke up at around 6AM, my furnace was making a funny noise and it was 56 degrees in the house. I called at A-1 at around 0730; the technician was at the house by 0930. Bad card, bad blower, $1100. A salesman arrived at around 1145. He asked some quick question, he did NOT try to upsale us at all. By 1500 in the afternoon, we had a brand new heater. Now, we have a long history with A-1, we got a new Air Conditioner last year; we've had service agreements with A-1 for years. They have always been professional and prompt, but this example was exemplary. We went from broken furnace to fixed furnace in 9 hours. A-1 has my strongest possible endorsement.

We recently had our heat go out and discovered it at about 7pm Thursday night. A-1 United Heating, Air & Electrical got back to me quickly that night and provided two options: come over that night and resolve the heating issue, or come first thing Friday morning, 8:30-9am. I choose the morning option and they discovered that my furnace was as good as dead, carbon-monoxide leak and 18 years old. But not to worry, they had a working unit temp'ed in and running by that afternoon with final, button-up, installation on the following Tuesday. Everyone was very friendly, and overly polite. He broke down our options for replacing a whole-house HVAC vs a patch to fix our broken heat pump. And get this...we were not oversold on what we needed. A-1 had a competitive price and with the COSTCO add on incentives I was dollars $$$ ahead of my two other bids. (My other 2 bids were very close friends, very reputable & in the HVAC business for quite a time also.) The sales presentation was clear, concise and to the penny … … very clear. Zero point zero hard sell. (No upsell going on either.) The installers were in at 8:30 and done by 3:30 with everything professionally installed. Research shows the equipment is all pretty much the same. The BIG THING is who installs it. I am comfortable I got a professional install and will have a business that will be around to service it as needed. I am using the WIFI enabled thermostat and expect to see an energy savings here along with my 95% efficient furnace & air conditioner. I would refer A1 United Heating and Cooling as a solidly professional and reputable business with which to work.

We had a service come and do a check up on our furnace and ac on monday from airserve and the AC stopped working when they left. Had Aksarben heating and cooling and Burton come out to give quotes on replacing the 26 year old furnace and AC, wouldnt take a second to look at the ac, only wanted to give the quote. Immediately he wanted to take a look at the AC as he wasnt ok with us not having anything (we have twin boys 2 years old). I initially contacted A-1 United to have their electrical services take a look at a few outlets that were giving me trouble after a newly installed bath countertop tripped the GFIC. I was able to repair the GFIC unit but two outlets weren't on at all after that and I couldn't figure out why. I also figured I'd have A-1 service my A/C at the same time. It sounds like they're two separate units as I had to coordinate two services, which is fine. The A/C guy came that afternoon and did a great job as far as I am aware - my only complaint would be that it seemed a little pricey at about $120 for a checkup (was expecting about $80 without a contract). After that I spoke with their electrical guy and he surprised me by saying he was really really busy so wasn't sure he could get to me very quick. He asked my issue and he quickly suggested I simply replace the GFIC for $15 and then he wouldn't have to make a service call and I'd only be out the cost of the part anyway. Turns out the GFIC was burned out and wasn't passing current to the outlets down the line, so he probably saved me at least the difference in what I expected to pay for the A/C service (and probably more if electrical is as expensive as I found out plumbing costs are!) All in all I was very happy with the entire service and the reps were very professional and friendly - I would highly recommend them after this service - and will call them next time I need service.
