Just had Total Comfort install new furnace, ac, zone panel and hot water tank. Great financing program through Home Depot. The installation went great..installers, Tony, Jeff, Marco and Taylor were all pleasant and clearly enjoy their job. They knocked out a big job in great time. Total Comfort is a large operation but it's well run and the communication is great. I know they're going to be around if I ever need them to honor the 5 year labor warranty.

Total Comfort is awesome. I have used them for many years for maintenance of our A/C and heat. This week we had a boiler and hot water heater install. Keith, Randy and Taylor worked all day. They explained everything and did an excellent job. They also did a thorough clean up before they left. My husband and I were so impressed by their work and thoroughness. It was obvious that they love their work and the company. I highly recommend Total Comfort!

Our overall experience was excellent. The scheduling process was easy. The tech called 1 hour before his arrival and we received a text as well. The technician, Mike Sanchez, was excellent. We had a hard to diagnose vibration noise in our one year old furnace. Mike systematically determined potential sources of the vibration and then added either metal tape or foam tape to address the likely causes. He was persistent and did not stop until he was sure he had corrected the vibration. When he was done with the repair, he then stayed additional time to ensure that when the furnace shifted into "second gear", the additional air velocity did not trigger the vibration. Mike was thorough, friendly, and professional throughout the job. He patiently explained what he was doing and answered all our questions. We were very pleased and look forward to working with Total Comfort again.

Ryan Grutzmacher and his apprentice Joe did an amazing job. They installed my new furnace with great care and professionalism. Ryan’s level of knowledge and consideration for all factors of the install needs to be commended. I asked whether I should have had a fresh combustion air supply and not only had he already considered it, he had already looked through and found several possibilities as to why one wasn’t already made for the old furnace and found several options for me. They installed the furnace with great care, and they also stayed long enough to ensure all measurements were correct. They left the job site clean and cleared of any construction/installation debris. Above all, they did so on the day of Christmas Eve. Thank you Ryan and Joe!!

Great bunch of professional people did a beautiful job on my all new hvac system. I definitely recommend them. Cleaned everything up nice. My dog was being mean and they all still tried to talk to her and calm her down. Cheaper and better equipment than my other quote and they put everything in new. It really looks great. It’s a horizontal install in a crawl space and they really strengthened the mounting system. They sent three guys out for pretty much the whole day and they were cheerful and pleasant and put booties on before coming into the house. Just a very good experience is all I can say.

They do a great job of explaining how things are operating and what needs to be repaired now and why and what can wait for a year or two. and only what needs to be repaired. They come twice a year for maintenance to keep my units clean and checks to help save on breakdowns. The serviceman are also nice.

Five technicians worked throughout the day and completed the job by 5 p.m. I had a very tight space to accommodate these 4 appliances but they figured it out beautifully. Really great techs did a top notch job on AC and furnace. Had a comprehensive check list and things checked out very well. They did find something' that really surprised me and that they found with their instruments. It seemed to be above normal co2 which seemed to lead.to the gas water heater. So kudos fellas and thanks for a job very well 👍 done.

MATT MERRICK found the problem in the plugged air conditioner line/drain. It seems there is a product which can be placed in the narrow drip pan to keep the water from going into a gel stage. Wish I had know this before. Also, I think this service should be part of the maintenance agreement I signed up for. Matt explained the product that goes into the drip pan only lasts a year. So why hasn't my air conditioner leaked before now? The product also cost $80. That seems a little high to me. Matt did a good job, I'm just frustrated with the cost of repair. Now retired, fixed income, etc., etc.

This was for a rental property. I had a furnace fail in february 2021 and they came out over the weekend for the estimate and then on Monday to do the install. Price was in-line with other estimates and the got it replaced quickly. Everyone I talked to with was friendly, professional, helpful and made things easy for me. Overall quality of the install was suboptimal (supply stake deviates to one side rather than going straight - looks bad and introduces air flow disturbances) but it was in a 1940's so the existing ductwork was part of the issue. Filter lid was making noise and they sent out a service tech, Brian M., he was great. Fixed the noise and covered it under labor warranty. I will certainly use them for any HVAC work I need done.

1) Thee sales person was help full and saved us $1100 on furnace and other rebate, got everything done in 3 days - 2 days week end included. 2) Above all and for which I was completely Sold is the fitting Keith and Tyler did, the Sales guy mentioned I wont be able to open/ close the door to Mechanical room as the humidifier needed to go at that location, Keith and his team did-an awesome job, went above and beyond expectations and managed to fit the inline humidifier such that it's not in way of closing the door, he also cleaned and fixed all the loos piping from previously... Really very happy with these guys and worth every penny. The Picture I don't have the Before Picture but believe the first Image tubes and pipe were allover the place and Keith and his team cleaned it up without me asking. 2nd Image show the Humidifier placed such that I can Close the door and it is not in the way

Bryan N. came out on short notice late at night - being the on call guy. He advised me of my options with cost considerations - buying a new furnace vs. fixing the older furnace. I even meet with one of their sales reps to gather more info on the new furnace cost and process - ended up being too costly but the rep was pleasant and helpful. Overall, they both wanted the best for me and showed good care and professionalism. Bryan N. ended up fixing the old furnace since it was a moderate cost fan motor replacement on a 17 year old furnace that was otherwise in great shape. I had three contractors quote a new furnace and air conditioner. All contractors quoted the similar Carrier systems. Brad met with us to discuss our needs, priorities, and concerns. He listened carefully and answered all of our questions. Total Comfort submitted the lowest bid of the three contractors. The Carrier system Brad quoted was the best of the three systems. The installation was completed within the week. Keith and John did a fantastic job. It was a cold and rainy day. John completed all the outdoor work. It must have been miserable. Tony and Dylan were great. They walked me through the work that was to be done to make sure we were on the same page. They were quick and clean, picked up everything after they were done. They were not disruptive to my work day either which was nice being able to just let them handle their business while I kept going on mine. The explanation for maintenence was thorough and easy. We went through all the work again after it was done answering any and all questions that I had, including going through the test details that they performed to make sure everything was installed correctly. We also reviewed all of the warranties and who to go to for any issues that may arise, small detail but repetition builds it into memory and I had already gotten the parts flipped. I think it's good to note that they handled my dog, who can be a bit protective around new people in the house, very well. I can say that as far as the installation goes, and the sales process for that matter, I am extremely satisfied with the results. Time will tell if everything continues to be great, but as we are using the new AC right now I will surely see if there are any issues that may change the rating.

We had Total Comfort through Home Depot Services install a furnace for us last week. What an a wonderful experience. I was doing overnights for my job and I was able to sleep. It’s not that they had not made any noise but only as much as was necessary. They cleaned up after themselves and even covered my stairs and floors for protection. They also showed us how to use the furnace and additional equipment that we had installed. Keith, John and Austin were really great. Total comfort already set up reminders for us to get a tuneup and when to replace our filters.

Ryan completed work begun by another installer at the end of last fall. When he arrived, Ryan learned that the project was more than simply finishing the final steps involved with testing coolant and equipment that had been communicated to him. Completing the project required fabrication of new connections in the duct work and air intake, and installation of a second filter, requiring much more time than had been anticipated. He notified his supervisor of the work that still needed to be done and then launched into the project, working until the system, even though not finished, could deliver cool air. When he was able to return Ryan brought an additional tech(Bill). Together they installed a newly fabricated box and filter, made sure the return air connections were sealed, covered the drain hoses, and installed a new thermostat. Throughout this project Ryan was not only highly efficient, effective and professional in his work, but went above and beyond to make sure that we were satisfied and able to use our system when we needed to. We are very happy with Ryan and Bill’s workmanship!

Purchased a new furnace and AC unit from Total Comfort contracted through Home Depot. Initially had good interaction during estimate and write up. I had a second estimate done by a local company and they were about $1200 cheaper for similar products. Went with Total Comfort for a couple of reasons; no interest finance term was longer (72 months vs 48 months), they are backed by Home Depot and the same day of the estimate the rep called and said they had a cancellation for the next day and could come out and get it done the next day. The rep stated that if we signed up that night (around 7:30pm) we could get a few deals to sweeten the pot ( Thermostat and small discount) to help them fill their schedule. So we did, somewhat against my better judgment (I don’t like rushing into contracts). I was told installers would be at my home between 8-9:00am 5/25/2022. Installers arrived late at 10:00am. After about an hour assessing the job and locations of the furnace and AC, the work began around 11:15am after a smoke break. I was initially told this would be an 8-10 hour job. The AC installation seemed smooth but the furnace was a bigger task. 4 or 5 smoke breaks throughout the day and at around 5:30pm I was informed that they were not close to finishing and would have to come out another day. They finished the install of the AC but the furnace was inoperable. Installers left that night around 7:00pm. House temp down to 66 degrees that night, not a huge deal but to cool for my 3 month old infant. I was very unhappy that the job was not completed in the promised time frame. No definitive answer from installers or schedulers about when they could return to finish the job. After two days wait, I was informed that they couldn’t return to finish the job until 6/2/2022 (8 days later) or 6/6/2022 because of how busy they were. Unfortunately, due to scheduling conflict I was unable to have them come out until 6/8/2022. After complaining about the poor experience, I was told the quality assurance guy would reach out to me to “make things right”. Installer Scott K. arrived on 6/8/2022 at 8:00am and was very polite and professional. We discussed the job and what was left to do. He completed the install and his work ethic and customer service made up for the first visit. He completed the job and left around 5:30pm. No voicemail or email follow up from anyone, even after completion of the install to “make things right”. The job is done now, no complaints on furnace or AC but the whole situation left a bad taste in my mouth. If I had it to do over again, I would choose local and not deal with the scheduling conflicts or the feeling that the company was making a “dash for cash” and so busy that someone couldn’t finish the project next day. 2 Stars for timeliness and delivering as promised. 3 Stars for initial installers (AC guy was better than the furnace guy). 2 Stars for customer relations and satisfaction. 5 Stars for installer Scott K. 5 Stars for product satisfaction.

Has hidden fees in terms of instialation as they sub contract out it all. you can purchase the same system for about 1/3 of the price from carrier yourself then sub contract out the instaltion which may be cheaper or may not . they do not include the total instialtion b/c they sub contract and you end up with mutilple bills from different companies and only have one price for the unit sold not the total cost of instilation. it is likely better to just contact the sub contracter in the first place and save thousands. the plus side is they offer financing through Home Depot so that is a plus b/c it is tens of thousnads of dollars.

Our heater and a/c were 23 years old and at the end of their natural life, so we had time, got three bids, and Total Comfort and one other place were $200 apart. We went with Total Comfort. Why? The salesman was an unretired owner of an Hvac company and knew everything about the process. Home Depot stands behind every install even though I called Total Comfort directly and worked exclusively through them. They measured my house, ran the numbers through some program, wrote up a quote that was in the ballpark of the other place, $4,000 less than the highest bid. Tyler, I hope I got his name right, was the installer and it took them 8 hours. They were professional, cleaned up all the messes, quiet, and the new furnace and a/c both look great and worked perfectly the first time. Our one bedroom, which is furthest away from the heating unit and was always cold, was warm last night even though I programed a temperature that was three degrees cooler than I normally set it to. I would use them again in an instant.

I'm inclined to be petty and give 1 star based on a comment I heard about my dog from your techs. The ductless mini split system that was installed here was heralded as an all year superstar that works until -10°, which is incorrect. We still needed to use 2 space heaters when it got below 15° this winter. The installation went smoothly and there are no mechanical issues, but the fake professionalism touted by the higher ups did not reflect on the everyday technicians you sent to my house.

I took advantage of a great offer from Home Depot a few years ago to replace my furnace and water heater and to add a humidifier. Total Comfort helped me select the products that met my needs and did a phenomenal job installing. When my old AC unit stopped working during July 2021 heatwave, Bryan Nelson from Total Comfort immediately came out to assess. He explained to me what was wrong with the unit and helped get it running even tho I had already decided to replace because of its age and inefficiency. Until my new AC unit arrives, I have one that works during the stifling heat and humidity. I also know that the fixes made are going to be deducted from the cost of the new one. Bryan also helped explain the things I can do to help extend the life of my AC and furnace. I had been stressing my AC and furnace by not regularly hosing off AC. 🧐 I have never been this comfortable using a contractor. They truly took great care of me. New AC installed! Leonard Beavers was the ultimate professional…. Masking, protecting surfaces, making sure I understood what I needed to do maintain my AC. Installation was perfect….. work space thoroughly picked up. Outdoors, too. Friendly, thoughtful installers. Will use them again.

When I initially had Total Comfort come out to my house I already knew I needed a new ac, what I was surprised to learn was that my current furnace was also not installed quite the way it should have been originally. Their sales staff was very knowledgeable, as well as polite and professional and answered any questions I had. I recently had the good fortune of making an appointment at Home Depot for a in home HVAC assessment and quote. As these things go its obvious that the goal is for the company to sell you. I have to say that I was very pleasantly surprised when my visiting HVAC professional spent his time educating us about the basics of how systems work (all facts) and wanted to understand why we booked the appointment. In that he helped us make a more educated decision with such an investment. Furthermore, besides doing a detailed assessment he then called in an engineer to ensure that the current configuration was compatible. The engineer confirmed the results of the assessment, so we gave Martin our HVAC professional the go ahead for a quote and statement of work with an appointment. We were happy to know that the system was available, and the installation team could be out within a week. Once the installation team arrived on time, they did fast efficient and very clean work with attention to detail all with a personal touch. The one thing that I’m happy about is they were able to come out in short notice. My damper was stuck and wouldn’t open to heat on my boiler. The repair guy manually opened it and told me I need to replace the damper and the cost of the part to replace. I said I wanted to look up the part because the price seemed high.. he said I need to take care of it now and my boiler isn’t safe as it is.. and he wouldn’t allow me to think about it.. yet he left the system on and running (unsafe according to him) while he left to go back to the store for the part. I felt forced into a purchase that may or may not have been necessary. Online the damper is $125. They charged me $629 +$125 service charge. Over $750. My concern is the trust factor. They wanted me to trust that leaving the damper open was unsafe.. yet they left me alone at home with the damper open and boiler running. The damper could have been broken and unsafe.. but the contradiction and pressure to purchase doesn’t sit well with me and my overall experience.

Overall I am pleased by the professionalism and timeliness of the services received from Total Comfort. I had a capacitor that went bad on one of the hottest days of the year and Total Comfort answered my call with same day service! The technician called about 20 minutes prior to coming out and was able to quickly diagnose the issue with my AC blowing warm air. He replaced the capacitor, ran diagnosis checks, and wrapped up within 45 minutes of arrival. He also respected my household safety by wearing a mask while inside. Overall, I would use Total Comfort again. My only complaint (one star off) would be the elevated repair fees for a capacitor change as well as not applying the service visit fee to repair work. Angis list estimates repair to average $170 and all said and done we paid over $500. That said, the timeliness and promptness outweighs the cost as we were miserably warm in the house!

Everyone I talked to was very professional. The response was very prompt, I had great service techs at my house within about two hours of when I called. The techs quickly assessed the situation and gave me some options. The techs were very knowledgeable and courteous, they wore booties in the house or took off shoes, and they cleaned up everything after themselves. Ultimately, I didn't have them perform all the repairs, thinking I might just upgrade the unit. My only gripe, and the reason for 4 starts rather than 5, is that the pricing is high, but in an urgent situation it's somewhat expected.

We chose Total Comfort to replace our 21 year old furnace and air conditioner. The sales rep, Brad, took time to explain our options and after we learned more from him and he listened to us, Brad gave us two separate estimates. One covered the one stage option, the other estimate was for a two stage system. We were impressed with Brad's knowledge and his sales presentation (which was really more like a class in HVAC). After consideration on our part, we went with the two stage system. We really valued Brad's product information and his willingness to explain details to us. Brad also gave us useful information about several rebates we were qualified to claim. There was no high pressure applied at any time, but we were eager to go ahead with the project. The system was installed the next week --no waiting around. The two techs who came to our house for the installation (Ryan and Alec) were outstanding. They not only got the entire system installed in one day, they also added some additional venting/ductwork that we needed at no additional charge. They left the basement cleaner than it had been. No mess. Because we installed the WiFi thermostat, Ryan took time to explain how to use it and helped us set up our cell phones to use it. He gave us a guided tour of the furnace and the air conditioner and made sure we knew how to use and maintain it. We now know where the reset switches are. Both Brad and Ryan were very professional, patient and helpful. All in all, terrific service. Highly recommended.

Last week we had a terrible night our A/C gave in due to wear and tear and old age 20years almost. The brand Carrier I was amazed it lasted that long. A trusted name brand in cooling system. I went to call Home Depot, diverted me to Total Comfort talked ri their rep and the following day Bryan was on it already doing the diagnostic, very prompt, We talk about the prose and cons of just making the repair as against a new one installed. I am not a newbie when it comes to technical matters. Bryans detail inspection made me decide to go with the new one. Then Greg a sales rep came to do a detailed summary of work and equipment replacement and costing. Much to my surprised the quote wasn’t that heavy on my part, their financing made it easier for me to decide. The best part came when their tech/installer guy TAD came to install the unit and did some plenum modifications. He did it on his own, with his 22 years in the business, it was very professionally done, every minute detail of the job performed and explained to me. All three are polite, courteous and very professional. The best in the business.

Brian from Total Comfort, showed up within the scheduled window and called 20 minutes before he arrived. Brian was friendly and engaging, explaining what he was going to do and quickly got started. Brian showed me potential issues existing in my furnace and recommended repairs. He also discussed with me the possible advantages of replacing the 15 year old furnace and best options incase I wanted to go that route versus an expensive repair. Also, Brian cleaned and serviced my gas fireplace and did a great job.

Professional group, technician Carl was knowledgeable and friendly. Purchased this through the hawk at Home Depot who runs around the store asking everyone and their mother if they want an AC/Heating system tune-up. He asked me three times the same day, even though I signed up the FIRST time he asked! Kinda comical, actually. My issue - price. I typically pay upper to top dollar for better or best quality or service. In this case, It was strongly recommended I needed a small part to light the heating system, even thought he part was working just fine (10 years old, was suggested it was about to break soon) Paid $256 for a part that costs about $30, took 3 minutes to install (brother-in-law is an HVAC guy in CT and he suggested this was as huge markup.) Crazy markup for a service when already onsite for a $149 tuneup. Quoted $1,000 for fan replacement on air exchange system for a part that cost $400. Other quote from the local authorized dealer of the part was $650, soon changed to $800 when they heard Total's quote of $1k. Again, all for making money, but you will pay a significant premium for parts replacement with this company. In spite of their fine work, I would not use them again. But I would not discourage anyone from using this company, the work seems solid.

We were very pleased with our service. Scott and his crew are exceptional! They worked 13 hours to install a furnace, AC, humidifier and hot water heater. They were courteous, professional and kind. I was working from home during the installation and was never disrupted. Scott took great care and time to answer all of our questions and to show us how to work the new techno thermostat. I encourage anyone that has an older HVAC system and hot water heater to consider bundling and making the investment. You can save money, time and gain a peace of mind. It does hurt the pocket book to spend this kind of money but we feel it will be worth the investment in the long run.

My a/c and furnace died the day before the hottest weekend of the summer. I called Total Comfort and they were able to come the next morning and replace the entire system. The professional installers were there on time, called 1/2 hour before arriving. My a/c system was up and running by 2 pm the next day and the old system was removed.To get the furnace functional (the heating system) we had to schedule an appointment for the following week. The two professionals were on time, very friendly and efficient. On each visit they took the time to explain the new system and made suggestions on how to use it best. Pretty stellar experience! Salesman was knowledgeable, knew exactly what we had for an A/C system the minute he walked in the door. Accommodated our low-budget by comparing prices with another competitor and threw in a nice incentive. Went out of his way to provide a recommendation as to our heating and cooling problem with our ground level (too much pressure building up without an escape). Installation team came out and did a superb job. Unfortunate that there was severe ice buildup anchoring the old A/C unit in the backyard to the ground, but a couple hacks at it with a hatchet resolved that. Cleaned up everything and made it look like they were never even there! Highly recommended! UPDATE: this time I needed a new furnace and water heater. Got the same awesome experience today as I did 2 years ago!!

Took great care to keep place clean and service the units, everything went great and we made it through a season THANKS** === Signed up for a promotion at the Washington County Fair. Total Comfort was offering $89 for a combined AC/Furnace Tune-Up Service. They were there next to the bingo booth, at the Total Comfort Trailer, with Home Depot logos adorning the trailer as well. The rep said this was a better deal than in store, where Home Depot was offering AC or Furnace Tune-Up Service for $89 + 3 free filters. The Washington County Fair Deal by Total Comfort, as Debbie explained, was $89 total for both AC and Furnace, but no free filters. This was certainly better than $89 per, so we signed up. I have a yellow receipt they gave me and a date of service. They never showed up, which prompted me to call. When I got a hold of the rep, I was told that they needed to charge me $129 and would not honor the $89 Fair Special. I protested and was promised a call from their manager. That call never came. Stopped by Home Depot today, to see if a manager there could help me with my issue. They keyed into the system the same deal as the fair, + free filters and said a Total Comfort Rep would call me soon. They did, but was only going to service one or the other for $89. I called the Home Depot Manager back and he is calling Total Comfort to see how he can help. At this point, I do not even know if I want this company in my house. Total called back just now and said they will honor the Fair special. The call was short, to the point, and offered no apology or explanation regarding the sudden change of heart. A date is set, but I am still a little reluctant at this moment about letting them near our home... I recently purchased a new HVAC system from this vendor and it required a tune-up the day after the installation. Kevin and Andrew showed up promptly soon after I requested the service. They were very knowledgeable and professional. Kevin was the lead technician and his expertise in HVAC and several other adjacent trades were clearly top notch. Technicians Scott and Ryan arrived on-time with everything they needed to install a new Carrier furnace and air conditioner. It was a tricky installation that took 11 hours due their care and precision. My basement is finished and I knew in advance that it would require some cuts into a closet ceiling to access the space for vent stacks. It was small and very professional. They never took a break for lunch and worked very well as a team. Everything was cleaned up, sealed from the weather, and old parts and equipment hauled away. They stayed to explain how to register online, access thermostat WiFi , and operate the thermostat from the panel and my phone app. I am very happy to recommend Total Comfort to anyone.
