We are very pleased with the quality of their product, both heat and air. We are very happy with the two service people we have had and appreciate the maintenance work Dan performs at our yearly maintenance checks. We have and will continue to recommend them to others. Recently we had a friend call us and ask who serviced our furnace. He was not a customer of Streitz and was not sure who to call since this was a Sunday. He called Streitz, they came out in a reasonable time, determined the problem, ordered the part and were able to install it in a timely fashion. My friend was very happy with the service he received. Streitz installed a new furnace and heat pump system last fall. Dan provided a competitive bid and answered all of my questions professionally. When he did not have the answer he told me so and worked to get the information. Dan was a really great partner in making the decision to go with Bryant and Streitz. I am very glad that I did. I am particularly concerned about resource usage so I wanted to make the right choice. Dan was patient with me throughout the process. After the install, Streitz and Dan have been helpful in making adjustments and answering my many questions. He came right away, and we went over what we were looking for and he set us up with the perfect system for our home. The install was just a few days later, and the install team, Nick and Jack were outstanding. Very polite and professional, and got the job done quickly. Due to flooding from a water softener, I called Streitz to evaluate the damage to the furnace and air conditioner. Dan was so knowledgeable and helpful in explaining the damage. He was able to get the air to work to get me through the hot weather. Dan offered to help me in any way he could with the furnace throughout this mess. I appreciated his professionalism and kindness. He gave me a detailed report and took photos for the insurance company. He was a tremendous help. Streitz has an exceptional employee in Dan.

I had used another company to perform a furnace tuneup and they suspected I had a cracked heat exchanger and would not continue with the tuneup since they recommended I replace the furnace due to spiking carbon monoxide levels. I was a little suspect with this diagnosis since all previous yearly tuneups had not detected any issues and our carbon monoxide detectors had never gone off due to high levels. I called Streitz Heating & Cooling to get a second opinion. The repairman (Dan) that came out to check our furnace was professional, courteous, and very thorough with his explanations of what he found out during his check of the furnace. The bottom line is we did not have a crack in the heat exchanger and carbon monoxide was not leaking. Dan explained how he went about his search and diagnosis to determine we did not need to replace our furnace. As a consumer I appreciate an honest business that isn’t “drumming up business” during the slow periods. I highly recommend Streitz Heating & Cooling to anyone needing their HVAC equipment serviced or tuned up.

The installer was not helping us fix the problem so we called Dan out to check it over and he found a few things that needed to be fixed and set it up properly so it worked the way it should. For years the Streitz crew has done an excellent job of maintaining our HVAC system. When our older furnace failed this spring, they quickly fixed the problem and then applied the repair cost to purchasing a new system. Dan patiently answered our questions about the repair and purchase. The furnace installation went smoothly so the house remained comfortable. We have been customers for 40 years. Back then our AC had gone out and the company we had been using said the wait time would be about 6 weeks. Apparently they had taken commercial work and didn't have time for the customers that supplied work daily. We called Streitz and they gave us a two hour window that day! I've worked with Dan Berning at Streitz, he gave me consulting and quoting on my furnance, and then later my AC as well. He was able to walk me through all the options, including what the costs and timelines would be for geothermal and heat pumps to look at for options as well. Went through all my questions, once I made a decision he scheduled the install right away, the install crew came in, were very professional, cleaned up after themselves and did amazing work. The thermostat ordered was on back order and Dan made a separate trip to come out, install it, helped me get it connected and walked through all the features and how to use it as well.
