The technicians are fabulous-on time and professional. More importantly, they know their stuff and they explain it in a thorough and easy to understand manner. Alex was out today for routine maintenance and he did a great job explaining the workings of my furnace. I highly recommend Standard Heating and Air!

Standard Heating and Air Conditioning did a full system replacement in our home: furnace, A/C, Humidifier and hot water tank. The level of service and support from various trade people was pretty amazing. The primary installer was on site all day from 7:20am until 4:30pm. He made sure that all components were correctly and neatly installed. He seemed genuinely concerned that the job was correctly done. Standard Heating is a great company! I had my furnace and A/C unit replaced back in September 2020. Everyone throughout the process was very knowledgeable and professional and did great work. Their furnace and A/C tune ups are reasonably priced and they do a thorough job to make sure your machines are working properly. They're kind of a throwback to the old days when companies actually cared about doing quality work and satisfying their customers. I've had nothing but great experiences with them. I highly recommend them!

I hired Standard Heating and AC to replace my furnace and AC in 2020. I liked the professional and kind service at the time of sale and installation, 11 year warranty, was pleased with the installation work, and even the service trip they performed three years after install (after the furnace tripped an over-heat code). The overall cost was a little more than other companies I checked into, but the service and warranty resulted in peace of mind and working equipment which I believe makes up for it by far. There was no cost for the service appointment. Happy customer.

We looked at several local vendors and were extremely happy with the responsiveness and assessment of our needs. We had Jude as our installer and he was very professional, arrived on time and was able to tell us exactly what was going to happen during the install. Work was completed within the day and once complete he reviewed everything with us and showed us how to change the new filters. The work that was completed looks very nicely completed and so far the system has been perfect. I contacted Standard Heating and Air Conditioning to do routine maintenance on my A/C and tune up the furnace before winter. They've done work for me before, and I appreciated the job they did. Casey G came to my residence to do the aforementioned work. He was punctual, knowledgeable, and personable. He tuned up the A/C and gave good attention to the furnace. The furnace is old (26 years), so I was prepared for the recommendation to replace it. Casey got us set up with Cody E to come out that week and give us estimates on a new furnace. Cody was also punctual, knowledgeable, and personable. We'll have the new furnace installed soon. The process has been going well, and I've appreciated again the help from Standard Heating & Air Conditioning.

We've been using Standard's Smart Club for A/C & Furnace tune-up for the last 7 or 8 years and have felt they've always been honest with us and never tried to upsell us on anything we didn't need. I was not surprised, but today at our furnace tuneup the technician reported that the furnace was not firing at all and I felt like he gave me a fair understanding of the pros and cons of fixing what we have vs buying a new furnace. He even called to set up one of Standard's sales people to come out to give us a bid, and said to make sure to get bids from a few other companies, as well. Today we had Sam (I believe it was Brian in July with the AC) who was on time to the minute and was very polite about wanting to take his shoes off, etc. He did the furnace maintenance with no issues and then gave me a complete summary when he was finished. This was the first time my partner and I owned a home with a ductless A/C unit and just lived with semi functioning units for a full year before deciding to get them maintained. I was suprised and happy that from the moment I called Standard Heating and Cooling that we could get someone to come by within a week to clean our units and see if they needed any other maintenance. Nate (hope I remembered his name correctly!) came by and was kind enough to show me some basic maintenance things I could do for our units at home in between the annual cleanings our units would need to be running smoothly. We did need one unit deep cleaned, and Eric was incredibly friendly to us and our cats while being politely professional to show us what this unit looked like before and after the deep clean so we could see for ourselves the difference. All of our unit's now run with equal strength and it's so helpful for our sleep to have an efficiently running cool home in these last few days of summer. Standard Heating & Air Conditioning has been our go-to, local team for home heat and cooling for over 40 years, helping us transition from an old gravity-air heating system to the installation of our first force-air furnace and subsequent upgrades and repairs, including installation of air conditioning. Always dependable, professional service. Punctual, clean and honest. Several years ago, when our thermostat died, they came to inspect it for repair, and instead installed a state-of-the-art WiFi-connected unit. We were informed it was "on the house," and never saw a bill for the technician or the thermostat. Unfortunate that we were told we had to replace the air conditioning unit after 7 years of comparable use at our condo. The prices are outrageous but the service is good. These days you work with contractors and few actual company employees. I did ask that an e-mail be sent to a company employee but I didn't get a response. I needed to find someone quickly who could check my furnace as soon as possible, and Standard was able to send somebody out the next day. Deacon and Jack went through the whole unit and confirmed there was no carbon monoxide leak, cleaned things up and told me about the items in the 24-year old unit that are living on borrowed time. I requested several quotes for boiler replacement, but Tom Snuggerud with Standard Heating & Air Conditioning, was the ONLY rep to listen to my goals (I want to add a mini-split heat pump for air next year), take measurements, and give me a recommendation based on the unique features of my home and my goals. I appreciated that he did not try to up-sell me (there's nothing wrong with my water heater!) or quote features I did not need. I am so grateful for Lucy, who expedited installation (I had no heat.) The installation team was courteous and professional, and did a beautiful job on the installation. In fact, when they discovered something that had been quoted was not needed, but something else was, they made that adjustment and informed me. The frosting on all of this is that Standard Heating is a great corporate citizen and gives back to the community. A boiler fire is not a great experience, but working with Standard Heating absolutely was! Thank you to all of you!!

This was a massive heating installation. We went the Combi route to replace a >40 yr boiler and >15 yo water heater. One day in, a lovely, finished plumbing spectacle in the basement, and a very helpful team of 3-4 installers here to make this happen efficiently. It's been day one of use, but the water is hot and radiators are kicking out heat at last! Thank you so much for helping oversee the install from the start of our conversations in July to the finish and install in October.

I can’t say enough about Standard and their technicians and sales people. I have a boiler and 3 heating zones in my home. The zone for the main living area was not working. Another heating company came out and said I would need to replace the valve component for that zone. It entailed draining the boiler, soldering in a new valve, refilling the boiler….at a cost of $1800. Called Standard to come for a second opinion. Chris came and discovered within 10 minutes the relay on my thermostat was shot. Service call and the cost of a new thermostat and I have heat…..

I've used Standard Heating & Air for quite a few years. Two years ago, however, I decided to try a couple of new companies, and that was a big mistake. In both cases, "tune-ups" meant, yes, checking our systems and then trying to get me to shell out thousands of dollars on upgrades everywhere. I went back to Standard Heating & Air just recently and got the same excellent care as before. A thorough examination of my furnace, and then a good discussion on parts that are starting to get worn, and they even declined installing a new filter, as the one that was in place had more months left on it--though the offer was made that they could go to the truck and get the expensive filter (it's an expensive filter that's nearly impossible for the layman to install). Every time I work with Standard Heating & Air, I feel as though they're working hard to make sure everything works properly, but to also get as much life out of these machines as possible, without undue repairs. Highly recommended.

Standard Heating & AC were very professional, easy to get ahold of and schedule an appointment for duct cleaning. Day of, the technician (Ryan) was on time, professional, and explained the details of the duct cleaning service, estimated costs, and timeline thoroughly before starting. He was spot on with the estimates and demonstrated the cleaning results with before & after photos from the ducts. He was very thorough and even checked out the strange code that showed up on our thermostat (and showed me how to connect it to the wifi to clear the code). Bonus, he worked around my curious cat and kept doors as closed as possible to prevent the cat escaping.

We had Standard Heating and Air Conditioning come out to check a furnace problem several years ago on a furnace that one of biggest local HVAC companies had installed 11 years ago. Several problems were identified that were corrected. One was improper venting and the second was a gas fitting which had been installed incorrectly. We have had them come out twice a year since that first visit. The quality of the staff is outstanding. Their pricing is fair and I trust their recommendations.

We first used Standard to install our ductless minisplit system. They offered a middle-low bid and 2 year 0% financing. They were great to work with from sales to scheduling to install to maintenance. A great warranty that went above and beyond any other company as well. Since then I’ve hired them to tune up our boiler last fall and repair something on our boiler this summer. I would say they’re very high quality. A little more expensive than the lowest bid, but I think I got more than I paid for with the service they offer. Will continue to use them.

I first called Standard Heating and Air Conditioning 5 years ago and they performed some maintenance on my 22-year-old furnace. The technician was very knowledgeable and pleasant. We discussed the possibility of my old furnace failing during the winter and I decided to buy a new furnace and air conditioner. The units were installed 4 years ago and have functioned well ever since. Also, I have controlled my maintenance costs by joining Standard's Smart Club. For a small monthly fee, I am eligible for free periodic maintenance to ensure that my equipment will always function properly, and, as a club member, I go to the head of the line in case I might need emergency service. Yesterday, Ben arrived and performed my annual preventive maintenance service. It took an hour and he verified that I would have no problems during the next year. He did a great job. When friends ask for my recommendation, I always point to Standard Heating.

The AC install they did a few years ago was pretty good and they do a good system follow up a year later. A few years later we had an issue and they were quick to come out and troubleshoot the issue. The issue was covered under warranty. When your AC or heat goes out it is never convenient and their availability and knowledgeable staff are top notch.

These guys did a great job installing a new furnace and AC six years ago. Last week we had what we thought was a minor furnace problem, called them out, and it turns out the heat exchanger was failing. They decided to replace the whole furnace on warranty. That's great, but it was the other aspects of customer service that really made them shine. They set us up with space heaters to keep us comfortable while we waited for the new install. Even though they couldn't do an install over the weekend, they got to us first thing Monday morning. And every time we talked to anyone at Standard, they were always friendly, attentive, and supportive. So glad to work with this company, and will continue to do so!

Regardless of who comes, they (a) are incredibly polite and professional; (b) show up exactly on time with a courtesy call on the way; (c) offer different maintenance plans which save plenty of money, and (d) can easily accommodate you should your schedule change. We have now used them on two homes and we never have to worry about our furnace or A/C in the winter or summer - we know they've thoroughly inspected them. Just a terrific business!

I've used Standard Heating for any repair work I've needed on my old furnace and AC. When they came to fix my 26 year old furnace this time, I needed a new one and they replaced both my furnace and AC. From working with Rick the sales guy to the crew that did the work led by Wes, and electrical from Spark, everything was professional and flawless. I hate when contractors don't respect your property and told Wes that when he showed up. They wore booties and laid runners on the hardwood and took care not to damage anything in their work. When the city inspector came, before he saw the installation, he asked me who did it. When I told him Standard, he said it was going to be an easy inspection. He said he had never written up Standard for any inspection he ever did on their work. When I showed the inspector who was formerly an installer the quote with applicable discounts and rebates, he told me that was a good price for what I got. I can't tell you about competitive costs, because I didn't get any. I trust this family owned business and it makes it easy when I have HVAC needs, I just call Standard Heating and Air Conditioning.

Casey came over to do the annual maintenance on our furnace, in preparation for the Winter. He was prompt, polite, and communicated well about issues he uncovered. The lady who came over to work on our air conditioner maintenance earlier in the year was also very professional and a good communicator. I really like working with these people. They have always provided good service. But it seems like in the recent times the technicians are even better about customer relationships, wearing masks, putting booties on their feet, and just generally being nice to have around. We have an annual maintenance plan with them so they always make sure our furnaces and air conditioners are in good working order, filters are changed, and we get discounts if repairs are needed.
