Sedgwick was so helpful in providing service last summer to fix an issue with my AC, I signed up for a maintenance plan and when they came out this last month to tuneup my furnace the technician identified an issue with the the motor. Since the furnace was near the end of its life span I decided to go ahead and replace the entire HVAC system. They were able to come out and replace and install a new furnace within a week and did a wonderful job. I highly recommend them for the quality of their work and ability to resolve any problems.

We recently had a 31-year old furnace and central air conditioner replace by Sedgwick Heating and Air. Within 9 hours, both systems were installed and running smoothly. The staff took great care to make sure the floors were protected and there was minimal disruption around the house. They worked with confidence and were professional and friendly. They made note of city code and even moved our hot water heater to be at the correct distance from the furnace. Once the systems were installed, they gave thorough instructions on the components and how to run the digital thermostat. We could not be more pleased with their integrity as a business. We came home Saturday evening to a cold house in December. I checked and the furnace wasn’t running. Because it was so late, I was worried I would have to wait until Sunday to get a repair person to come out. But, after calling Sedgwick, they had someone at my house in about 25 minutes. The technician, Wayne, was amazing. Not only was he super friendly and professional, he was able to diagnose the problem. Although he needed to order a part for our repair, he was able to get the furnace operational so that we could have heat. Because it was a cold Minnesota December Saturday night, I was expecting to pay an arm and leg, but that wasn’t the case. The rate was much lower than I was expecting. I was super appreciative of Wayne’s work, and my family was able to sleep in a warm house. I cannot recommend enough the work and service of Sedgwick!

We had a small confusion when they processed our credit card weeks later than we gave it to them, but it was a pretty minor mistake. They walked me through the parts of the AC, some troubleshooting and tips if it starts acting funky again, and advice for everyday home maintenance (spray down once a year and replace air filters every three months). Same day service, Cameron was friendly, professional and informative. Was able to get our furnace running again, although he said our inducer motor is shot and won't last much longer. The only frustrating thing is I was quoted 1200 dollars to replace the motor, but I can buy the part online for $250 and install it easily in a half hour. That's a steep labor rate!

Furnace went out during freezing Winter break. Called Sedgwick and within 3hr repair workers showed up. They quickly diagnosed the issue and showed me how to fix if it happened again. They came by for an inspection. The tech seemed knowledgeable. Left saying they’d look into parts or replacement options. Despite multiple calls back to the company, they never replied or returned. Just left the furnace and A/C taken apart and the thermostat loosely hanging on the wall:-/ Update: Larry did follow up and worked to get us a quote. The peopel at Sedgwick have all been pleasant and seem good to work with. We may have truly just “fallen through the cracks”.

This visit from Sedgwick was for annual fall maintenance of my HVAC system including 2 furnaces and my humidifier. Going forward, they will also do annual service on my AC. Sedgwick is BY FAR the most competent HVAC company I have ever worked with, and since I had an annual maintenance plan with HomeSmart for many years prior to Sedgwick--my equipment has been serviced by many different HVAC vendors. HomeSmart seems to contract with the cheapest and least competent companies. I bought new furnaces 2 years ago from Sedgwick but left my existing HomeSmart plan in place. This past summer when my AC suddenly stopped working, and after an 11 day wait, HomeSmart finally sent a repair person to look it over. He told me that it was "the wiring", which they were "not allowed to touch" and that I had to call an electrician. $400 later, on my dime, the electrician told me that it was not the wiring at all, but that the entire circuit board of my furnace was "fried" (a very technical term). You would think that the HomeSmart person as someone whose job it is to repair furnaces would be able to tell that the circuit board was not functioning. I called Sedgwick since I had purchased the furnaces from them and they stepped up and replaced the circuit board under my warranty at no charge. I subsequently switched my service plan to Sedgwick and am very very pleased . Moral of the story: DO NOT GET A SERVICE PLAN WITH HOMESMART; Sedgwick is an excellent and reliable furnace company.

He volunteered to put on shoe coverings though.

11/2/22 Camron was wonderful he called before coming out and was on time. I had an annual furnace tune up. He was thorough, knowledgeable and was able to explain to me the importance of annual maintenance. He also found the air filter was installed back wards. I would recommend Sedgwick heating and air conditioning to friends and family. Quality service at a great price. 8/17/2022. Wayne came out and looked my furnace over for the coming winter for a certification check needed for the city. He was on time friendly and let me know age and condition of everything. He also gave me some recommendations. Great service. I would recommend to anyone to use Sedgwick Heating and Air. 5/16/22 I had service come out and repair my AC the tech found a loose connection the system powered up after repair. I have used Sedgwick Heating and Air for years now and would refer this company to family and friends. Last Fall I found a leaking water heater and needed a bathroom fan installed quickly to comply with city rental code. They had everything needed in stock and were able to install the water heater and fan the same day I called. The staff is friendly there technicians are highly skilled and knowledgeable at a competitive prices. Excellent of the top of the line installation. I have been in the construction and realestate business since the 1980's the work they do always exceeds my expectations.

Absolutely remarkable care, professionalism, and work done. Summer 2022 in Minnesota has kicked off warmer than usual and unfortunately our AC broke in the midst of 100 degree temperatures. Was able to call into Sedhwick's offices 5 mins before they close, get a next day appointment (which is very hard in the summer with how booked technicians are), & got my AC repaired next day under an hour. The whole home inspector that I hired to look at a home, said that I should have a heating company check the furnace, because it was not running correctly. My brother recently had Sedgwick Heating and Air install a new heat/ air system at his home and he had highly recommended them. I called Sedgwick and Brent arrived. He found several serious problems with the furnace and noted that it was already over 20 years old, which was (for this particular furnace), either at or very near the end of its expected service life. Brent was very knowledgeable and explained things clearly and suggested several options for me to consider and was not pushy at all in his approach. He also left several cost estimates with me, for what a similar new furnace would cost, along with a higher efficiency type of furnace. I am very pleased with Brent’s service and with Sedgwick so far. Sedgwick Heating & Air Conditioning is going to be my go to service provider for HVAC related issues. I thought it was a cold morning until I noticed the furnace was not running. Called a few service companies with no luck! I either had to stay cold for a few days or pay hundreds just for the techs to come out during after work hours. I am so blessed to find Sedgwick! They answered my call quickly and within a minute I was no longer worried. Miles came over in about two hours after the call. He is knowledgeable and professional on the work and he fixed the pressure switch issue quickly. He even educated me on some of the important maintenance best practices so I can take care of the system by myself. Now at noon I am listening to the beautiful noice from the furnace and enjoying my warm winter day!

11/22/21: Chet Beiswenger serviced our furnace this morning. He is an outstanding ambassador for Sedgwick…personable, efficient, knowledgeable, professional, and helpful. Chet went above and beyond previous Sedgwick furnace service representatives by completing a meticulous and thorough maintenance of our furnace. In addition, he made several suggestions for filter maintenance, and a change to the thermostat setting, so the humidifier doesn’t dump water into the furnace when the furnace isn’t running. Thanks Chet for all you did today! 7/10/21: David was very personable as well as professional. He communicated what he was doing and why at every step of the process. Even though it was a Saturday evening at 8:00, he cleaned & repaired our AC as if it were Monday morning at 8:00. The fees for service and parts seemed a reasonable expense.

When we woke up sweating Saturday morning, I knew we needed help fast. Sedgwick had put in our new furnace in January, so they were the logical ones to call. The phone was answered quickly, even at 7:10 on a Saturday morning, and I got a call from the service tech within 15 minutes. He showed up a bit before he said he would - the only negative here is that he said he would call before arriving and didn't. He got right to work, found the problem and we had blessed cool air flowing in short order. It wasn't particularly cheap but well worth it for the professional, fast service. Recommended.

We have always been happy with Sedgwick’s efforts to meet our needs, address our concerns, and answer our questions. The only problem is that the two bedrooms on the main floor are hotter in the summer and cooler in the winter. Technicians adjusted dampers by opening and closing some, which helped to a small degree. This time (months later) when we asked for another adjustment, we were told that usually the rooms “farthest away” are either hotter or colder, and we can just close some vents in the other rooms to divert air to the areas needing it more. This company has the most prompt and reliable service. I texted late Sunday evening as the temps were dropping at night that my furnace or thermostat was not working properly and the degrees of heat my furnace was putting out were dropping. Sedgwick gave me a number of a technician to call if this was an emergency or they would contact me Monday morning. I opted for Monday morning and around 7:00 they texted to see if I still needed help. I did, and by 11:00 am I had heat! similar response when my central air conditioner died in August (a time of considerable heat). The next day I had a new air conditioner and air! You can count on these people!!

First, we were pleasantly surprised by their responsiveness. From our call, a technician arrived within two hours, announcing arrival half an hour ahead. Once he arrived he quickly diagnosed and isolated the problem to our ancient furnace control electric panel, independent of the furnace itself. He then said that he would have to come back with another technician the following day due to the nature of the repair, which happened the first thing in the morning. Within two hours of their arrival, our furnace got back to action. then, at the end of the work, we were again pleasantly surprised by the bill, which was not bad at all, considering the type of work that they had to perform and that the work spanned over two separate visits. Both of the technicians were friendly, courteous, very clear as to what the work was going to involve and left the work site spotlessly clean afterwards. We would certainly consider hiring Sedgwick again and recommend them to our friends and family as well.

The diagnosis of the problem and installation of the new A/C unit were both great experiences, with the service people involved explaining the problems and/or necessary info very well. I cannot speak to the value of the unit but it does appear to be quality. I also had two positive experiences with customer service on the phone. My only problem, however, was with the fact that I was not notified as to the appointment time as it approached (as I was told I would be.) Ultimately, I had to leave a live international work call (online) due to the installers knocking at 7:15 AM. Perhaps “my bad” for assuming that they wouldn’t come before 8 AM (when I knew I would be done.) A courtesy call the day before would have been nice, and professional. What can I say about my experience with Chris Buchanan and Sedgwick Heating and Air Conditioning? Top Notch! Top Notch! I had a 15 year old furnace that needed regular maintenance. I called Sedgwick per a friend's recommendation. The technician found a large crack in my Heat Exchanger. Can you say Carbon Monoxide! That's a bummer. Sedgwick sent out one of their sales associates, Chris Buchanan. I appreciated the time he took to explain my options and their pros and cons. I didn't feel like he was rushing me through the sale, but that he really wanted to make sure I purchased the right furnace suitable for my home. He walked me through the process and described in detail how the job would be completed. I wasn't home at the time of installation, so I can't give you any useful information concerning the installers. What I do know is that when I left for work I had a broken furnace and by the time I got home the new one had been installed. No mess was left behind. What a treat! I knew nothing about purchasing a new furnace. For me, a big and expensive decision. I didn't want to make the wrong choice. Thankfully, Chris held my hand and got me into an upgraded furnace for less than I thought it would cost.

Jerremy Chan did a bang up job of repairing my 25 year old furnace in spite of my help. He did a methodical analysis of the malfunction and and was able to pinpoint the problem in a few minutes. Gave me the choice of a new furnace or a new control board. After making a few checks on the furnace the rest of the furnace seemed to be in good condition. So I chose a new control board. Luckily he had a replacement in his truck. He replaced the control board which had a dozen or so wire connections in careful and profession manner. He is a very personable and cheerful worker. He speaks well for Sedgwick. If nothing else he deserves a big gold star. Tell Jerremy that when I got up that morning I smelled a strange order in the house. I thought it was coming from outside. With 2020 hindsight and having been in the electronic business for over 50 years you woulld think I would recognize the smell of burning electronic parts. He and Mitch returned about a week later to replace the zone panel, but prior to doing so, did some additional diagnostics to confirm we needed the new panel. It would have been easier, faster, and made Sedgwick more money to install the zone panel right away and move onto the next job. Instead, they determined we did not need the new zone panel at all, saving us hundreds of dollars. They spent the time and went the extra mile to really get familiar with our heating system and get us back up and running. We could not be happier with the way Sedgwick was there for us and handled our heating problem.

The main issue is very fixable and it turns out we can solve that one by ourselves. AC died day before heatwave in mid 90°s (of course). Sedgwick was out same day,Tuesday, dressed for Covid to inspect and quote a couple of seniors. Needed to replace badly rusted unit that was leaking. Work scheduled for Thusday. Wednesday AM early, the project manager finds me having coffee on our deck. He said he didn't sleep well the night before thinking of us, at our age, being without AC. He asked if he could take a peek at the old system to make sure no water had leaked near the electrical components. He then told us it was safe to use the old AC, and he would re-schedule crews for the crack of dawn to make sure the new unit was in and functioning before the heat of the day on Thursday. BOOM!! Sedgwick has come to my rescue recently as I was way oversold a huge a/c by another company - it is so large that it blocks 40 " of my only window in my main living area - ruining my view and my patio. I was dishonestly oversold this gigantic unit - under the pretense that this was the only size for my home due to new regulations. I hadn't ever purchased an a/c before and I trusted the salesman. He said it was just a little bigger but, it went from 24" square to 42" high and 40" wide and it needed so much air around it that it ended up being centered in front of the window- instead of the corner of the patio. I had no idea this was coming and when I got home, I was horrified to see it - I begged the installers to tell me there was another option, they said no. Thankfully, Sedgwick is doing the right thing and has restored my faith in companies like them. They worked with Lennox for me, getting a reduced price on the right sized unit and they are not charging me for installation due to the huge loss I incurred on the other unit. The Sedgwick team is amazing, kind, honest and will never sell you something that is not what is exactly right for the size of your home. Please consider this company as the right choice for you. I only wish I had talked with them first.
