My furnace went out while it was single digits. Had someone out to repair the furnace but, wasn't fixable. Knowing nothing about furnaces, I started to do some research. Needless to say, I'm so glad I called Krause H&C. Very professional, didn't pressure at all, very friendly and informative. Helped me understand the situation and I didn't feel like I was being taken advantage of at all. Would highly recommend Krause to anyone.

I had Krause Sheet Metal and Heating put in a new gas forced-air furnace for me and couldn’t have been happier. This company knows what service, integrity, and professionalism are all about and its commitment to customer care is evident in every step of its relationship with you. I sought bids from Krause and one competitor before replacing my furnace. The other company walked into my home determined to sell me a particular furnace and didn’t budge, even when the design features of my home meant that the furnace they had preselected wasn’t the best choice. Krause, on the other hand, took a look at my heating needs, including not just the size of my home, but some unique features in how the vents and cold air returns were installed. Based on these factors, Krause put together a bid that specifically addressed my heating needs. Both companies sold comparably rated furnaces, but Krause’s bid came in significantly lower. Yet, because of my confidence in the care with which the work was done to prepare the bid, I would have chosen Krause even if it had been higher. Also, as Krause is a union shop, I was prepared for a higher bid price. I personally was ok with paying more if it meant its employees were being paid fairly. That Krause came in as low bid was just a bonus. Krause continued to do the types of things that showed I made a good decision: they located and provided paperwork on rebates; touched base each step of the way to see if I had questions; knew a certain “install by” date was important to me and, despite the busy time of year (December), managed to fit me in. The furnace installers were prompt, courteous, clean in their work, and explained everything to me I needed to know. They pointed out their number and that they were available 24/7 if I had problems. Bill Krause followed up with a phone call later that day to see if I had any questions. No one enjoys spending money on something like a furnace, but Krause made it painless and left me with a good feeling about a local business. I’ve already had the opportunity to recommend them since my furnace was installed, and it felt great to know I could do so without any reservations whatsoever.

Bill and Pete have always been good to us with the highest customer service and fair pricing. They seem to always the best team with them as well! I would wholeheartedly recommend this service. Today in a blizzard they came and installed a new furnace for me. And the previous one, that was here when I bought the place, was serviced buy them as well. They are prompt punctual professional. When they old furnace failed last year they were here within an hour on the coldest night of the year… after hours. I’m sitting here in a warm house looking out at the snow falling. Grateful.

Contacted Krause heating because of a bad heating exchanger, promptly replaced that, two days later, control board went. After looking into fixing that part, Pete informed me of the cost of the work that had been done and what the control board was going to cost. Pete priced out a new unit and I decided to go that route and two guys had our old furnace pulled out and new one installed in about 3 hours. Highly recommend them!

I had two gentlemen come out from different parts of the company, one a contractor to evaluate a part of my very old house's structure/ window replacement and the other to maintenance my base board heating sys. Both were extremely professional and nice. The ladies in the office who scheduled my calls were nice too. All around good staff and the price was very fair; will continue to use their services. Calling them for a plumber now!

Outside temp was 30 degrees and our furnace went out at 2:30PM. Gave them a call and Pete Krause came over and gave me an estimate at 3PM. He had guys here working at 4:15PM installing a new furnace. Unbelievable service. Saved us from either a chilly few days or having to heat the house with plug in heaters and an expensive electric bill until it could be fixed. Hats off and many thanks to the guys who worked late to get us up and running. Not that price was an issue in our circumstance as it was winter and we needed it replaced ASAP, but they were equally priced or cheaper for a higher quality furnace than the other competitor options. Thank you!!!

Krause replaced my grandparents furnace and installed central air and did a great job. Just recently, their water heater bit the dust and caused CO2 to flood into the house. Once again they called Krause, they made it a priority and was able to squeeze them into their schedule to get it replaced right away. Great workmanship, reliable, and fair priced. Wouldn't think twice to hire these guys!

These guys installed our Hvac in our new construction home. Such great guys. Had some problems with one zone in our in floor heating. It was not the fault of these guys. The electrician placed the power box in an area where things got wet. Quick response with my call. They came out fast and fixed the issue. Very professional organization.

Called in the morning to get my furnace reaplaced, the guys came out 20 minutes later and replaced it for us. Awesome response time as we had no heat and I really appreciate how quickly they fixed our issue for us. Recommend these guys to anybody

We contracted Krause to install an air conditioning unit on the recommendation of my brother, who used Krause to repair his furnace (completed in just one visit, and they let him watch & answered all his questions) after city contractors failed to accurately repair his furnace several times. My experience with Krause has been universally positive. Their price stayed exactly on estimate, they worked efficiently, and they even have their own electrician and electrical inspector to make sure everything is done to code. When they finished, they showed me exactly what they'd done, explained about upkeep, and even let me know my furnace filter was in backward! And drew an arrow on the furnace for future reference! Last but not least, Mr. Krause himself specifically guided me toward the cheapest A/C unit, pointing out that a more expensive/efficient unit didn't save enough money in the cooler climate of Duluth to offset the price difference. This is an honest and reliable company, and I highly recommend them.

John Edwards 10-2-2014 Ten years ago I had our oil furnace removed and the fuel oil tank cut in half for removal with zero mess. Krause's technicians installed a new gas furnace along with a new central air system for cooling. They also changed out my hot water heater and put in a new one. The furnace was a Carrier unit and the central air unit was a Carrier system also. The system works so well that I look forward to receiving my heat bill now. With regular inspections I have had absolutely zero problems. The entire company is outstanding in working with the customer and never never over sells anything. I just had a regular furnace inspection and cleaning today{ 10-2-2014] and Krause's technicians are as wonderful now as they were on install date. Thank you Krause Heating for being so helpful.

Bill (the owner) and Shaun at Krause Heating are amazing. If you ever have heating issues I wholeheartedly recommend that you go with this company. Someone from the city of Duluth came and checked out our furnace on a Saturday morning because my husband thought he smelled something strange. We had a cracked heat exchange and carbon monoxide was leaking into our house, so the guy red tagged our furnace (i.e. made us shut it down immediately). He then recommended we contact Krause Heating to get our furnace replaced since he had worked with them before and thought highly of their service. We called Bill Krause that morning and he had one of his workers out to our house within an hour, already replacing our old furnace with a new one so we wouldn't be without heat over the weekend. Bill even showed up himself - on a Saturday - to make sure things were going well. Not only were they extremely friendly, extremely fast-working, and extremely helpful when it came time to talk through the new furnace, but Bill has continued to work with us while we try to get HSA (our home warranty company) to cover the cost of the furnace. (Don't ever get a home warranty with HSA by the way). Even Bill has waited on hold with them multiple times over the past week to help us out. I honestly can't sing the praises of this company enough. I don't know many service professionals who are willing to wait on hold with HSA to try to help a customer. They're some of the nicest service professionals I've met and our new furnace works beautifully. Honestly, go with this company and you won't be disappointed.

The experience we had with Krause was incredible! They showed up on a weekend when no one else was answering the phone; they replaced our furnace and got our heat running on a day when the temp. was bottoming out at -18'F; Both Bill (the owner) and Sean/Shawn showed up to make sure that the work got done as quickly as possible. Sean/Shawn really went above and beyond, leaving after making the initial fix to get to another job, and then coming back later that night on a Saturday to finish up some final touches to our job even though he didn't have to (the heat was working and he could've waited until Monday). Everyone we communicated with during the process was polite, caring, professional, and efficient. I wish that every business out there operated the way these folks do. We'll never use anyone else as long as Krause is an option.
