Our installer,Tom, was extremely pleasant even in the early morning, and helpful. Was considerate with shoe coverings, and was easy to talk to and ask questions. Very knowledgeable and professional, and that was certainly appreciated. He installed a new water heater that the competition was scheduled, came, and was supposed t put in, but made several excuses not to, which caused us several more days without hot water. So thankful someone had recommended Bonfe to us. We signed up for the plan. Thank you for everything.

We had a leak in a pipe connecting our gas stove. Our technician, John, repaired the pipe and updated the connection to code in a timely, professional and friendly manner! He also repaired the outdoors faucet just outside the house! We were in a crunch to get this done before our house closing and this company’s response was outstanding! Bonfe was absolutely fantastic. Our hot water heater broke on a Saturday, and we used their text service...got a response right away, and they offered to come out on a Sunday! They confirmed with me how much the service visit was going to cost ($99 for the service visit, but then waived if we did get equipment from them), and were very up front about pricing...and even took care of coupons and gave us a military discount! Alan F. was very communicative, and kept us in the loop about how long it was going to take for the equipment to be delivered, and he installed it promptly and explained everything to us. He was a very positive guy, and the overall experience was great. They did awesome with taking away all of our old equipment, and were careful not to do anything to dirty up our carpets. Bonfe has a great "tracking app" that shows you where your technician is once they've been dispatched to you. And he hung out at our house until the equipment was dropped off, and he installed it right away! Their lifetime warranty is great, and their service plan is reasonable (and they'll even service equipment they didn't install). I would definitely recommend Bonfe, and we'll use them again if needed!

This is one of the BEST companies I have ever worked with. They are responsive when requesting an appointment, they are on-time, the technicians are courteous and professional. Our furnace was not usable so they left us four space heaters. The new furnace was installed the next day. The technicians were all personable, thoughtful, and knowledgeable. They all spoke very highly of the company and the owner. Customer service is a priority for this company and that is refreshing to see. I would totally recommend Bonfe! Keep up the GREAT work!!!!!

I am beyond impressed with Bonfe and the technician that came out, Trace Smith. The service was same day to inspect and fix my AC. I got a call informing me the tech was on the way. After the call I got a text allowing me to track the technicians progress to my house as well as their picture and bio. Trace was super friendly and professional. He informed me of the benefits of the service program Bonfe offers. After inspecting the AC he gave several options. I felt absolutely zero pressure to make an immediate decision or choose the most expensive option. I ended up going ahead with the repair and signed up for the Bonfe service plan. Trace completed the repair quickly and kept us updated on the status. I highly recommend Bonfe! Trace Smith was amazing and I will be requesting him for my yearly checkups on my AC and Heating systems.

Brandon showed up on time, worked efficiently and answered all our questions. He recommended an air purification system to eliminate all the air filters that we had in every room of the house. The cost savings on the stand-alone air filters alone will pay for the system in about 2 years. Brandon was also able to install a new thermostat for us as well to save energy. It is comforting to know we can rely on Bonfe to have our best interests at heart. They give you information without pressure to let you decide. They explain various options to let you decide. And, those options are not just all very expensive ones.

Our boiler was originally installed by Bonfe, but I made the mistake of hiring another company to do maintenance. Their tech came out and didn't even clean or do any sort of service work on the boiler but instead red tagged it because their was a minor co2 leak and said we had to buy a new boiler - even though it was only 10 years old and top quality Peerless. I called Bonfe explaining the situation and even though the unit was out of warranty they were concerned and sent their technician, Seth Thomson out within hours. Seth did what I originally wanted done which was to tune up and clean the boiler. He took apart the unit, cleaned it thoroughly and adjusted the gas levels and cleaned the sensors. When he put it back together and fired it up it was running perfectly with no co2 leaks and we will now have a more efficiently run boiler for the 2022/23 heating season. Seth was very personable, patient and polite. When he finished he even cleaned down the outside of the unit so it looked like new. Clearly, Seth took pride in his work and the ability to troubleshoot. I'd highly recommend Seth and Bonfe.

Wonderful service from Bonfe. Alex Chiconis was dispatch to my home to do preventive maintenance on my sewer line going out the street. A pipe camera was used to inspect the line and drain trap cleaned. Feeling confident now that the line will not backup due to tree roots. Another inspection recommended in a couple years. Alex is very professional, personable and knowledgeable and I would recommend him to anyone. Will request his presence going forward. Thank you for taking care of my concerns.

Steve the technician was great. On time. Positive attitude and seemed to take care. On time. The reason for lower than 5 stars was two things. First, I was told they would come Saturday. Informed at dinnertime would be late eve or nothing. Stayed home all day. Offered Monday which required taking day off work. Leak was still there after he left, but to his credit was not noticeable for couple hours and we both thought issue was resolved. I did have to haggle a bit with company to get tech back out same day as couldnt take another day off. Steve drove all the way back, readily acknowledged issue and addressed it again very pleasant attitude which to me is a big deal. I would give Bonfe another try in future and would recommend Steve.

I have used Bonfe in the past, so I know that their technicians are efficient, knowledgeable, and friendly. And Bonfe’s products are reliable, competitively priced, and have a great warranty. Within the last year, we have used Bonfe to replace our Water Heater, Water Softener, Furnace and AC unit - One technician said we should have had Bonfe come out at the same time as the house inspector when we purchased our “new” but aged home. Had Bonfe out for my furnace tune up today. They were on time, got right to work, and clearly explained the repairs needed in my unit. They were able to quickly swap out the parts and make the needed repairs. I had a sewer inspection done. While the plumber was there, I asked him if I could get an estimate for an outside faucet to be replaced. He said, “We can do that right now if you want.” Sold! Bonfe was very responsive and sent someone out within 90 minutes of my call to assess why the temperature was dropping rapidly in our house. Our repair person was pleasant, spent some time learning our system, and then diagnosed a broken furnace igniter. A replacement part was delivered a couple of hours later and another repair person installed it by mid-afternoon. Responsive, professional and knowledgeable, I recommend Bonfe highly. Also, being able to track the repair person's progress toward my home is very helpful.

There was something wrong with a switch which connects to stove range. I tried to contact many other service providers but Bonfe is the first who gave a quick appointment and they were able to resolve the issue in like 30 minutes. Other service providers gave me 1 week wait time but Bonfe came to my home the next day and resolved all the issues. I needed an expert opinion on the state of my water softener. The technician Bennett Brown was professional and knowledgeable about water quality and explained to me all the options. I called Bonfe on Tuesday morning to get my kitchen drain/sewer unplugged. They didn’t have any appointments times until Thursday. So Tyreese J. put me on a “will call” list. At 5:30 pm Adam was at our door and jetted our kitchen drain all the way to the main sewer. We can use our sink again. Both men were very helpful and courteous. Adam was very careful not to make a mess and cleaned up the area before leaving. We are very happy with Bonfe.

Have had nothing but good experience with Bonfe so far. Our latest project required us to replace our water softener. Marcia and Noah helped us on the phone to set our schedules. Dave and Cole were the techs that evaluated and replaced the unit and plumbing. They all made sure to accommodate our needs, down to adding an online coupon to our bill that didn't show up on their options, but I found on Bonfe's website. They also double-checked that the initial down payment for Dave's evaluation was deducted from our final bill as well. The softener has been working perfectly this last week and we couldn't be happier! Hope to continue to be able to do business with these guys in the future.

The technicians were very professional and well trained. It was good to talk to a person when I called. The only hiccup was they sent the wrong softener. That was quickly remedied. They had to replace my water intake main valve which wasn't shutting off. Job well done. And communications was excellent all around.

These guys are super prompt and very knowledgeable / easy to work with. However, the price they quoted to replace a water heater was more than double (roughly 2.5x) the going rate I found from calling 4 other plumbers. The justification was a lifetime warranty (as long as we're in the home - to replace up to 3 times). So good if it's an emergency or if you're young and never plan to move, but outside of that, I'd recommend calling around to the small business types.

I received a free inspection of my main sewer line per limited time advertising piece the company mailed out. The inspection was done with expensive video equipment and a quote was given to me as well as a detailed account of how a liner would be installed should I opt to get one in the near future. I have a clay pipe line as most mid century Minneapolis homes have. I highly recommend anyone and everyone get this service done as it allows you either time to save or tells you you’ve got a problem before your house or lawn fills with sewage! The employees at Bonfe have been professional, considerate and cleanly! Highly recommend giving them chance to inspect your homes nooks and cranny’s.

Our pipe was leaking and within 15mins of requesting an appointment online, they were able to send out a technician within 30mins. Jordan came out on the first day, after assessing the problem, he gave a detailed explanation on what the problem was and ordered the parts. We purchased the Bonfe service plan one year ago with the purchase of a new furnace. They came out today to service our AC. Within 5 minutes of arrival I was getting pitched on replacing current AC which has incidentally worked perfectly for years. I was told 4-6 times that Bonfe’s price on new AC would go up by over $2,000 next year so buy now. Plus I told the tech I did not want to put any money into just complete the routine service. Multiple times in the past several years I’ve had techs immediately pitch me on a replacement AC or Furnace. Last year I got the same pitch from Bonfe which resulted in spending $10k on a new furnace . In this case I got a $550 invoice for a service I did not request. I thought service people performed service (that we pay for monthly) but I really believe their job is to convince the consumer that they need to replace the current system with a new product. In the case of our old furnace the pitch went something like this … disassemble a significant part of the furnace, explain that it has died, speak in a somber voice, give the consumer a “hang dog” look while pointing to the disassembled furnace & explain sadly that I has to be replaced. Got a similar pitch on AC!

He took the time to explain why this would happen including pictures of our dying furnace explaining down the road a new furnace would be needed. Alan showed up on time to help replace dryer venting that was over 10+ years old. We are remodeling our laundry room and decided to stack our appliances. He answered my questions about placement and code and got to work. He asked about condensation in the past to ensure that he was using the correct venting for our situation. He went over pricing, answered more questions about plumbing to the washer, and was done in less than an hour. The work looks great, will allow for better venting, and will help us in the remodel. I've used Bonfe for nearly 15 years and have been very happy with the plumbing and HVAC work they've done. I'm adding to this review because I've spent so much time on the phone with Bonfe reps and technicians in the past few weeks, we're basically family at this point. Our furnace seems to have entered its teens, and it is surly. On Dec 1, Tristan came to do the annual tuneup and everything was fine. He heard pinging in the water heater, so he recommended that we call our plumber to drain the heater to eliminate the sediment buildup. That's the sign of a good technician when they tell you about a problem with a product that they didn't install. Two days later, the furnace stopped. Greg fiddled with it, resolved the problem, and went about his day. A week later, the furnace stopped again. Nick came out to check it out. He even went outside to see if maybe the condensation had frozen over the exhaust. Nope. He ordered a part that was delivered early today. Today, Nick arrived to install a part, and so far all is going according to plan. I'm so glad we bought the lifetime warranty for this product. As painful as it is to be without heat in Minnesota in December, Bonfe is always friendly, efficient, and there for us. Everybody we've talked to and worked with from Bonfe has given us 5-star service. They listen attentively, take great notes, and do great work. I don't know what's wrong with this furnace as it's only 6 years old, but Bonfe is always here to help us out.

I’m super impressed with Bonfe on the install of my furnace. The service guy Altin diagnosed my furnace not working very quickly due to rotted secondary heat exchanger on my 20 year old furnace. Bonfe is my new "go to" for home repairs on cooling, heating, and plumbing repairs! My air conditioner stopped working Saturday afternoon. I called and scheduled a repair visit. First available was Sunday. Erica took my call and scheduled the appt. Sunday morning she called w update on Jeff's arrival, which was noon. She called when he was on his way and I then got a text w his picture and background info which was very appreciated! Jeff arrived and listened to my input and then headed to the thermostat first. He then headed outside to the unit. Within 10 mins he had diagnosed the issue. He brought the part inside and showed me the voltage was zero meaning defective part. He had already replaced the part. Seth T. just absolutely crushed it. He was friendly, professional, and super knowledgeable. Our house has a multi-head mini-split system that was very poorly installed 3 years ago. The original installer up and disappeared, leaving us with an expensive, non-functional AC. I was really stressed over finding an HVAC technician to even touch the system, let alone one with mini-split expertise and old-school work integrity. But all these worries faded away once Seth arrived. He listened to my whole backstory and description of how the system was behaving, looked the entire system over, and immediately decided it was a straight-forward job. He quoted the work right then and there on a tablet, showed me the price break-down, and I signed-off on it. Then to my surprise, he said he could actually do the work the same day! All the line-set connections had to be re-flared and the system recharged with refrigerant. (I anticipated this since I had found multiple visible refrigerant leaks.) Since the work involved several waiting steps (pressure test, vacuum pull, etc), I was able to converse with Seth throughout the job. He gladly answered any questions I had about the work he was doing, which further reinforced my trust in his knowledge and workmanship. I was so impressed by this experience that I signed up for Bonfe's monthly basics plan, which includes annual checkups for your heating and cooling systems.

Extremely knowledgable and professional. We started with what looked like a slow kitchen sink but the job quickly got more difficult. After snaking, jetting and camera to 50 feet, our guy called in for backup. His teammate was just as knowledgable and professional as him. At this point we were looking at what might be the clog at 50 to 100 feet. With the uber snake, one guy at the sink and one at the cleanout they were able to see the obstruction beaking up in chunks via the clean out. After 3 hours and multiple attempts at disloging what was glogging my drain, they pulled out what looked like a clump of hardened soap the size of a golf ball at 110 feet. Yes that is correct, they had to go over 100 feet to dislodge this one. I will absolutely be calling them on my next plumbing project. I think I have a water heater coming up.

After 21 years of dependable service my RUUD furnace and A/C needed to be replaced. I called Bonfe and talked with a helpful scheduler, Tanya, who let me know that a Technician would come to my home in Scandia MN and take a look at my old furnace. I met with Trevor Stendahl who checked my old furnace and recommended the Carrier 96% efficient-high performance-forced air furnace and air conditioner. On the day of the installation, Matthew Thompson, Nathan Longstrom and Nick Christopherson brought everything that was needed and installed my furnace and A/C. I was impressed that they were able to get this done within a few hours because it was being installed in my crawlspace. My crawlspace is a place where you cannot stand up and would probably do the work or heavy lifting while crouching in a cramped space, but they got it done. Of course with a 21 year old RUUD, there was one more part that had to be ordered to complete the installation. Andrew Krinke and Mitchell Ruedy brought that part to my home about a week later and completed the job. I am very satisfied and happy with my new furnace and air conditioner. It is quiet and takes less time to cool or heat my home. I am confident my Minnesota winters will be warm and cozy thanks to the professionals at Bonfe.

Had soldering fail on a pipe in my garage at 130am. I was thankfully awake enough to notice right away, and called Bonfe first. They dispatched a technician right away (Chris) with over 20 years experience. I couldn't find the main shut off valve, so plugged the geyser best I could for an hour until he arrived. Supervisor Al stayed on the phone with me until Chris got to my house so I wouldn't be freaking out alone. Chris was able to cap the mystery pipe with ease after shutting off the water, and I was able to start the cleanup process. (Who paints everything grey?!?!?!?) The middle of the night dispatch charge was double what I was initially quoted, but what can you do at 130am? Chris and Al were wonderful. Would call for emergency geyser in garage again, though I hope I won't have to.

Our furnace went down on a Saturday morning. Sam arrived 5 hours after I called for help. The old furnace was not repairable. Bonfe had space heaters at our house within an hour, and a new furnace installed and running by Monday lunchtime. They use a tracking service so you can see exactly when their technicians are on their way and when they will arrive. All the technicians who came to our house were courteous and personable especially Zach and Allen. The office staff I dealt with, Hayley and Tanya, were pleasant to deal with and efficient in getting me the information and documents that I requested. I can't judge the economic value of the service Bonfe provided because I was not in a position to get alternative bids, but the quality of the service that was provided was excellent.

Was having some issues with my furnace and they got someone out on the same day I called to take a look. Turned out to be a bigger issue than I anticipated, but the tech was able to get it working while the replacement part was ordered. The next day I got the part and the tech came back to install it and do an inspection to make sure everything was working well. I appreciate their promptness and professionalism when I'm sure a lot of people need help and can't wait in the cold. HVAC repairs tend to be pretty expensive, but I didn't feel like I was being pressured into something I didn't need.

We needed an electrician to assess a partial power outage in our house. Brent and Shawnee were professional and very pleasant to work with. We also asked if they could fix or install a motion detector light on our garage, which they did. It turns out the detector was defective, which took multiple trips to the house to assess. A new one was installed, which works. I have an issue, however, with your newer scheduling system where you don’t give a time window but we supposedly get a call in advance. We were able to get an appointment for the day after I called, which was great. I was told if we were going to be the first appointment of the day, we would get a call the night before. We did not. We were startled when we heard the knock at the door at 7 am. This is the second time this happened. We did not get an advance call for our furnace tuneup and were similarly surprised when they the technician showed up.

Been a customer of Bonfe for about 4 years now. I have purchased 2 furnaces and an AC unit from them for 2 different houses totaling over $20k. I have had a bunch of other work done by them too and am a service plan member. THE GOOD; knowledgeable staff, professional job. THE BAD; I scheduled a second appointment with a drain tech after he couldn't fix my plumbing problem. Plumber never showed up for the appointment, and I was never notified of a cancellation or reschedule. I called and waited on hold until I opted to have them call me back. They never called me back. I emailed them with an appointment request since calling doesn't work. They emailed me once to schedule an appointment, and when I responded with a date/time they never replied again. Not knowing if my apt was scheduled or not, I called the next day and was told it wasn't scheduled. Being a service plan member does not give you any special scheduling advantages. I called and cancelled everything today. You lost a customer Bonfe, one that has spent thousands with you.

We discovered our main drain was clogged and backing up sewage water into our downstairs bathroom, utility room and finished basement at 6 p.m. on a Tuesday. I called around several places who couldn't get us in until the next day. When I called Bonfe, the dispatcher was so pleasant and kind, she calmed me down and was able to dispatch a tech immediately who was at our house within half an hour. Avery was nice and efficient, he had it fixed real quick. And at a reasonable price. I will be calling Bonfe first and using them exclusively from now on!

Trace S. conducted our furnace tune-up and was the utmost professional. He checked all our furnace’s components and replaced our filter. Trace also inspected the heat exchangers and evaporator coil to confirm there were no cracks or leaks. We appreciate the peace of mind we receive by having a technician visit twice a year to ensure our systems are in good working order.

A tree fell on my service to my house and broke my mast. I still had power and needed to stay up as long as possible so to my home office. Nick offered to get all the parts assembled and come back later in the day. It made it a lot easier on me because the install went so fast. I would use these guys again. I had one of your competitors out here and they were kind of scammy and wanted a lot more for the same work because they just assumed I had insurance money. That is the case but it comes off as low brow to try and tack on money just because someone else is paying. Thanks for being honest!

Overall, BonFe has been helping us in many different areas (we had to get our sewer fixed this year, get new AC a couple years ago, and we get our furnace and AC tuned every year with their membership. Needed main drain cleaned. Kyle and his partner were very friendly and explained the pricing clearly. I did not want to commit to the higher priced plan until I knew what was causing the backup. Once we knew it was just tree roots, I was able to go up to the the higher plan that includes a container of Bio-Clean to prevent clogs on the future. They left the house the way it looked when they arrived, cleaning up after themselves.

My central air unit stopped working around 1 AM this morning- which also happens to be July 4th, a holiday. With a long stretch of 90 degree days coming, I panicked.
