I had a new heating and air system installed by Oscar and his crew. Oscar explained what they were going to do and immediately got to work. I've had many experiences with contractors and service companies and I have to say this was the best one yet! They worked hard, were professional, and very careful regarding my property and walls. I've had damage from other companies and it was very refreshing to see this level of care and respect. The cleanup was top notch too! I've been an Old Coast customer for five years and I've never been disappointed. I highly recommend Oscar and his crew.

I am totally impressed with Old Coast Heating and Air. Being new to the area I could not have made a better choice. This company is outstanding when it comes to communicating when the technician is in route. My review of Ryan Sheppard is long over due. This guy is a genius and very knowledgeable. Ryan came out and repaired my hvac. He diagnosed the root cause of my hvac failure and fixed it. The repairs were very reasonable. Rich Speaks is another great guy very genuine and personable. You guys Rock!

Stan and a colleague cleaned the air ducts, as well as the dryer vent, in my home. They were very nice, and Stan was very knowledgable and explained the process in detail; however, they left my home a mess after the duct cleaning. During conversation, Stan mentioned having a small vacuum to clean up the areas under the vents that were cleaned throughout the home, a total of 24. He then recommended that I clean them myself to ensure the areas are cleaned as his vacuum is small and not very efficient. *I read in other reviews that the company would use the dirtiness left after duct cleanings as a learning opportunity so the training opportunities aren't successful if this is still happening. Another thing that was odd to me was that they used my ladder without asking first. I had left my personal step ladder in the bedroom and when I walked into the master bathroom to check on the progress they were using it. It was then that they asked to use it. I told them of course and that is was no big deal, but they should have asked first before using someone's personal property. To end on a positive note, the young man who was with Stan used a Clorox wipe that I provided to clean the vent in my daughter's room that was exceptionally dirty even though I said I would get it. *I would like to make an edit that the manager called me, apologized and made the situation better. Great customer service is why I increased from 3 to 4 stars.

Old Coast Heating & Air was recommended to me by a coworker. Thomas came on time and was very friendly. I told him I knew nothing about heat pumps, that I had only had furnaces before. He had no problem answering all of my questions. He was here for regular maintenance but had a few recommendations on what needed to be done and why, and sent me the estimates before he even drove away. Great service!

Update...had service tech in today for annual maintenance very through in checking out the 3 units Very happy that tech is well versed in all aspects of work and let's you know about any issues during service Gives options on repairs that may need to be done or if issue that could become a problem later. Had another uv light internally installed.in air handler.***special running at half normal cost Had Dewayne as tech. Great service and knowledgeable. I am giving him and Old Coast 5 stars. Have had several companies in to do maintenance and work on 3 units I have for my house. I would ask them to correct things that weren't completed correctly from previous install people. None of them fixed what I had asked. I did research on HVAC companies and found Old Coast. They sent John K. In to do service on my 3 split system units. I told him the things that I was concerned with and issues having in particular rooms. He addressed all my concerns and recommended fixes and told me what each item to replace or repair would cost. I told him to fix everything. He completed more that day than I could get 2 other service companies to do in the three years I have lived in the house. He found that a new thermostat that had been installed incorrectly was causing the unit to turn the AC on in middle of winter when the heat should be on. Had one unit replaced and they took the time to make sure that the correct size of unit was installed. Previous unit was 3.5 ton and their consultant recommended a 2 ton based on sq footage and structure of home. It truly shows that the people working for Old Coast are honest hard working people. They listen to what you say and correct the problem. In addition to the regular maintenance I had them clean the duct work with a fogger that kills any mold and mildew that can grow in units in a humid wet environment. Wow what a difference immediately. The whole house smells like a brand new house. Additionally added a UV light in the duct work that will constantly kill off these things from happening. Now I can breathe so much easier while sleeping.

I lost AC in my house and was coming home to a thermostat reading 80-90 degrees inside. I called Old Coast, had an appointment that week, and was setting up a new appointment for equipment the same week. There are different finance options so you do not have to stress about paying out of pocket. The following week they came to fix my AC and then Mr.Anthony come out to double check installation the following business day. It was a very fast process that went incredibly professional and clean with lots of information along the way. I highly recommend this company if you're having any issues with your AC as a homeowner!

Our technician was wonderful! I called right before the office closed and they still were able to send someone out. He was at our house in half an hour. Wonderful tech had us up and running in 20 minutes. Would use them again in a heartbeat

I had an old wheezing AC unit. Old Coast HVAC came out and along with showing me that the unit was on its last legs, pointed out a copper tube that was too small contributing to a loss of efficiency. I made the decision to replace the whole unit and selected the economy model. At no time did Old Coast try to upsell me which I appreciated. After I did my own research later that night, I called my PoC back and he answered every question I had and recommended a better unit (actually telling me a more expensive model was too much for my situation). Installation started on time and went well. The installers were pleasant, hard working and left the place cleaner than it was. I am extremely happy. Jerry These guys came back and replaced my duct work. I live in an 150 years old building with all that entails. After installing the new AC, we realized the ducts were in sad shape. We hired Old Coast to do an install on our brand new construction home in early 2021. I can’t say enough good things about them. From beginning to end, not only was their staff friendly and knowledgeable but they were punctual and priced competitively. From the initial install to the maintenance, their communication has remained the best in the industry. I am a state licensed general contractor as well (I know the nightmares of finding a good company) and I recommend them to all of my clients. If you’re looking for old school work ethics that don’t seem to exist these days, these guys are definitely who you want.

I was straightening up my house, looked at the thermostat and noticed it was set to 72 but the temp in the house was 74, then 75. So after messing with it, I literally freaked out bc it was supposed to hit the high 80’s the next few days. So I called the number, they answered right away and a tech was at my house with in the hour. He did a super thorough job trying to figure out what happened…well my 17 year old AC had died. With in an hour after that, Mr Roy was at my house, ran through all my options for what would best work for us. By Tuesday Oscar and his team were at my house installing my new unit, cleaned all the gross dust and stuff out of the vents and ducts. They even left everything SPOTLESS!!! Oscar was also very very personable. Totally would recommend 100%!!!! It also wasn’t expensive compared to what other people have told me they paid and had to wait a ridiculous amount of time for. Just saying.

They responded fast after we explained we needed service and came the day they said they would. One technician came and access our needs and what was wrong. The next appointment was cost estimate and advantages that were explained in a way my wife and I could understand. Our old unit was 10yrs old, we thought about the cost overnight, and called to go forward with the new unit and a day later on time to start installation. Great work and customer service. The entire process with this company, from calling in for help with out broken AC, to getting guidance on the best new AC for us, to install, was extremely streamlined and easy as a costumer. Everyone we worked with seemed to genuinely care about getting us cold air again. Our house was at a toasty 80 degrees for two days, and they even lent us a temporary unit to give cool air to our bedroom so we could sleep, which was great because we have a 10 week old… sleep is super important to us! I would highly recommend these folks to anyone who’s on the fence.

After a week and a half of no AC while waiting for the home warranty people to act, we decided to reach out to a company with a good reputation that would treat us well. After a quick search, we found that Old Coast had one of the best reputations in the area. They did not disappoint! Roy Moore was our rep, and he came out and was patient, kind, and professional. He answered all of our questions and got us set up with the level of unit and reliable service we were hoping to get for our house. They set us up with the soonest possible time to install the unit, and they gave us a floor unit to keep cool while we waited. The team that showed up on the day was early, professional, and incredibly polite. They took their time to make sure everything was installed properly, and we were up and running before the day was over. The was a total replacement of an ancient unit, and they even had to crawl into the attic space to run another thermostat wire. Needless to say, it wasn't a walk in the park job. They made it seem easy, though, and they were all smiles and good moods when I checked on them. I look forward to continuing our relationship with this company as we enjoy our new unit in our house. As first time homeowners, we know we will depend on them for years to come, and it's honestly a relief to know they're there.

I highly recommend Old Coast HVAC. I have done business with a competing local company in the past, and Old Coast far surpasses them in regards to communication. They were also extremely timely and professional. Their pricing seems fair and on par with the rest of the industry. She got a technician out within hours of my call and kindly listened to me ramble on about things that I know nothing about. The technician, Randy, was extremely personable, professional, and communicative, keeping me in the loop during the entire service/repair even though I was not on site. He was also a great problem solver, thinking outside of the box to remedy my particular situation. He made several suggestive upsell’s, but was not pushy. These folks have got proper customer service figured out and are are a well run operation. Bravo! ***UPDATE*** I used these folks again today (2.21), and they were just as awesome this time around. Robert Shippy was very quick to respond and personally checked in multiple times to make sure that the work being done was done properly. The service and construction crew was professional and got the job done quickly. We’ve had the company replace both of our A/C units and re-do our old duct work. I had such a great experience. I found Old Coast on Home Advisor and reviews were really good so I gave them a try. My unit was not heating so they came out and provided diagnostics. I had the choice to repair or replace but due to age of the unit I opted to replace. Within hours of the recommendation they had Roy on the scene to help me with a quote and with in 24 hours of decided to proceed with the purchase the unit was installed by Hector and his crew. John Koen was remarkable. He went above and beyond in both his thoroughness in completing the job and in making sure I was satisfied. After hearing asthma was behind my desire to have the system cleaned, he not only cleaned it to within an inch of its life... he then stayed late to do additional work so that everything could be done in the same service call. And he worked to get me some discounts when I disputed some of the costs included. All this aside, the quality of John’s work and his work ethic is why I will be using Old Coast in the future. And definitely asking for John!

I called Old Coast Heating & Air first thing on Sunday morning, during a southern summer, with record high temps outside because my AC wasn’t getting cold. After calling several of the “Reputable” “Big Names” “24/7 Emergency Services” that never responded OCH& A was very responsive, communicated with me throughout the process and by 1 pm my air was working again. Mr.Sheppard is very knowledgeable and had no problem explaining the issues and we came to a quick resolution. If you don’t have one I highly recommend one of their maintenance packages. I paid no money out of pocket and still have a credit to use for future services. My family and I can not thank them enough from the initial service call (David is great) to the actual work was well worth the investment. They have a customer for any and all HVAC issues for life.

I purchased a home full of surprises. Old Coast came out within 48 hrs of my initial call to service an old dirty system. After being given several options, I decided to replace the entire system. The initial repair person was great, but he didnt leave until Anthony came to take a look and provide information on a new system. Days later, a total system replacement happened and everything went well. Anthony once again came by and did a post-install inspection a couple of days later to answer question and check the work. Three weeks later due to no fault of theirs, one item that was not replaced (water pump) was faulty and filled the house with a burning smell. I called Old Coast after hours and while the helpline could not "guarantee" someone would come...Technician John was here within an hour. Anthony was on standby to help again and again. John made a special trip across town to get the replacement part and spent another hour + until it was working and everything was comfortable again. I cant say enough good things about this company. If youre shopping around just call them. Everyone from the scheduler to the helpline to the techs, installers and management have customer service figured out! Thank you!

When Roy came to give a quote he worked with my schedule and came when promised. Once he came and priced out how much it would be to replace all of my ductwork he had a crew out within a week. Oscar came out with 2 other gentleman and was able to complete the job in 2 days. They were very professional and left the work area cleaner than when the started. I was really impressed by the job they did. I have had other AC contractors out to my house and they fail in comparison to the guys at Old Coast!!!! Wow!! My A/C quit working last night (88 degrees in the house)after bad weather passed through. I called Old Coast this morning, and they had two awesome technicians here by this afternoon. Thomas Honeycutt and Danny Sarver were exceptional at performing diagnostics and repairing my system. Apparently an electrical power surge caused my problem. After repairs and having the unit up and running, they suggested surge protection for my system. After this close call, I was happy to invest in the protection. The two professionals went right to work and had the system protected and on line in no time! Old Coast does a great job of maintaining our HVAC system. After Coastal Service Experts botched the installation of our upstairs and downstairs units (recycled existing equipment, did not add sufficient return ducts, failed to initiate/submit the warranty and failed city inspection of our downstairs unit) we switched to Old Coast for our maintenance. John Koen was our technician today. He was knowledgeable, thorough and kept us well informed. He gave me a list of things we need to do to maintain the health and longevity of our system. Most importantly, not only did he tell me I needed an additional upstairs return vent (as others have), he quickly got me a price, explain the installation and got it on the schedule. Glad to have John doing the installation given our experience today. As he was finishing up, John told me what to remind my next technician to check if they miss the notes. My one suggestion would be - for continuity and consistency - have the same technician return to the same home when one purchases a service contract in advance. We have recommended Old Coast to two new neighbors on our block and will continue to do so. Keep up the good work.

I had to call Old Coast Heating & Air when I noticed leaking coming from the AC vent directly beneath the AC unit in the attic. I called on a Friday, and they were able to come out Saturday morning. Unfortunately, I was wasn't able to be there for the appointment and he had to take his lead from my teenage son. The technician was very professional and called me to explain the problem and gave me detailed repair options. He was even willing to contact my home warranty company for me to see if the work was covered. As a working mother of three, with my husband deployed, it sometimes feels impossible to get everything done. I really appreciated his flexibility and willingness to go the extra mile for us. He was even able to give us a military discount! I feel very reassured that we've chosen an excellent company for our AC repair and maintenance needs. They were able to help replace my air conditioner over the summer, helped me work with my home warranty company, and even got my air working well enough that I could survive a week with no air conditioning. I am an out of town owner of a condo in Savannah that my SCAD son lives in full time. Our heat went out during the fall cold snap. Old Coast was highly recommended to us. I called from Colorado & set up a service call for a month in the future. The technician, Sean, arrived right on time on the allotted Friday & evaluated the system. He went over everything and educated my son during his evaluation. We chose to have a new system installed, as well as replacing a rusted out rooftop air handler that required a CRANE to get up to the roof top of this three story building. Roy managed our project and kept me informed every step of the way. Old Coast was able to get our new system installed and running on the Tuesday following our initial service appointment. Old Coast Heating and Air Conditioning recently replaced my central AC unit. From start to finish they did a stellar job. Every employee was knowledgeable, efficient, reliable, and personable, and they arrived on time--to the minute. Specifically, Anthony, the estimator, provided me with an on-site, written estimate that included different price levels and payment options. All prices were competitive. I also had a time requirement, which he included in the contract. If customers have specific, individual requirements, Old Coast will work to accommodate them. To me, Old Coast's most outstanding feature was its preparedness. On the day before the installation, Anthony, Hector (the lead instsller), and Ismael (Hector's right-hand man) all arrived to preview the job and make sure all necessary materials were available. The next morning. Hector and Ismael arrived on time, worked expertly and efficiently, and had finished in about 4 hours. Moreover, they didn't leave until they'd made sure the system worked and Anthony had reviewed and signed off on the project. As a coda to the company's excellence, the next morning a Sunday, I couldn't open the breaker box, which they'd securely closed. I called Valerie, the very helpful dispatcher, who immediately called Hector. He was at my door in about 20 minutes. Not only did he open the box, but made certain my washer worked after a quick reboot. In summary, from the largest reason to the smallest, there's every reason to choose Old Coast for HVAC work. I assuredly will.

Our AC unit took a turn for the worst a Old Coast was able to diagnose the problem - Jonathan is a great technician and explained everything well. Since the unit was old and out of warranty, it wound up being more cost effective to replace the unit. Anthony arrived within about 30 minutes and was able to quote us three different prices. Hector and his partner arrived two days later and had the complete system installed and running before then end of the day. They replaced the indoor air handler, the outside unit, and had to widen our intake. They did a fantastic job and cleaned everything up. Frankly they left the space around the air handler looking better than when they arrived. Anthony came the next day to inspect everything. All were professional and wore masks. They can take all forms of payment. Highly recommended!

I first called Old Coast for repair service on a 4 ton heat pump on the first floor of my house. I initially considered Old Coast because they are a certified Mitsubishi dealer and I have 3 mini splits in my house. I need someone with the skill to maintain my six HVAC units. Their service technician, Ryan Shepherd thought that the first floor unit was repairable. He initially put some parts into the unit but found that it needed more to complete the repair. As it was a 13 year old unit, I decided to install a new Trane variable speed unit. Tom Horton in sales and Ryan in service were very good to work with. They credited the repairs and maintenance as well as the rebate. The installation by Hector and his team went well. They cleaned up all their debris before leaving. From the first call I made they were On it! I called them on Monday, on Tuesday The service tech visited both my locations, on the same day Anthony Corbitt, the sales manager who really knows what he’s talking about and assessed the situation in great detail, also was at my location, we assessed what needed to be done. One location I added a small unit for my attic and the other location needed a whole new unit and that was not an easy job being in a apartment building on Broughton street and having to get a crane involved as well. Anthony told me they should be able to get both jobs completed by Friday,! Well I never expected that quick of a turnaround. They showed up Friday at both locations exactly what time they said they would and completed both jobs very clean and timely and the installers were very clean and professional! Same day response. Called in the morning and the technician showed up around 5 pm. Adam, the tech, is knowledgeable and professional. Found the problem and repaired the issue. I had a clogged drain line in the system and it was shutting off due to high water level in drain pan. I thought that the service was a tad pricey, but I suppose that is how it is here in Savannah with all the companies, given the importance and need for effective HVAC systems in this climate. I actually have two systems, one upstairs and one downstairs. I used Old Coast to replace my old worn out upstairs system in July. They did a nice job then, too. I thought that maybe by being a loyal customer I would've gotten more of a price break. Turns out that I was given a whole 30.00 off. I suppose that is better than nothing. Overall, not a bad company. All of the local companies have you by the short hairs here in Savannah.

Recently, I added an addition to my second floor and they expertly connected this room to the new upstairs unit. I have a room over my garage that they just installed a mini-split system for as well. D.J. and John were out here on one project and they noticed one of my ducts from my downstairs unit had disconnected due to a broken strap and another one was getting ready to collapse as well, and they just took care of it. Update: We've had our HVAC system for three years and it's fantastic! We get maintenance every 6 months and Old Coast sends me a reminder each time it's due. The tech comes out and does maintenance on it and let's us know if there are any issues or potential issues. We had an air purifier added (techs suggestion) to the system last year due to dust/allergens/mold and I've noticed a big difference in air quality. This visit the tech (Thomas) said everything was great and we're good until the next visit. He was very pleasant and quick to get the job done. I would, hands down, recommend Old Coast to anyone. Absolutely fantastic! I read glowing reviews about Old Coast on yelp and decided to call them when our HVAC tanked. They were my first call and only call and I couldn't be more pleased. The guys were very courteous, respectful, and knowledgeable. They cleaned up after themselves when they left so it was barely noticeable that they had even been here.... other than the sweet relief of cool air. I would recommend them to anyone any time. Due to job uncertainty and Covid setbacks, it took us over a year to decide on an AC system and actually pull the trigger to purchase it. Anthony was very patient over that time period, checking in with me regularly to see whether or not we were ready to proceed yet, but never pushy. Anthony responded to any and all phone calls, emails, or texts from me. In fact, Anthony is the only HVAC sales person I’ve dealt with in Savannah who ever responded to any of my calls after the first visit. The wiring and piping to the new unit outside is top-notch, and the furnace and plenum install is very clean. When the job presented obstacles requiring a decision from me, Oscar sought me out to explain the issue, the root cause of the issue, and to propose a workable and acceptable solution to each issue. So I had Dan today who came to do a routine maintenance on our Unit and i was nothing short of impressed. He was quick, efficient, and actually made sure everything was in order. There was something that wasn't entirely connected and he connected it for us and now the air conditioning runs 10x better than before. Like to give kudos to service techs Caleb & Thomas with Old Coast. My A/C went out over weekend during start of a 95+ degree heatwave. Monday requested service call by A/C unit installer company whom identified an inside wiring issue. Old 60+ year home built on a concrete slab foundation. Wire conduit is under floor running through slab to outside. No attic or ground crawlspace to re-run any new wiring. A/C unit Installer Company never timely followed up by next day for giving other options. Next day Tuesday called several other A/C repair companies. Old Coast was the only one willing to service me same day after calling. Rest of repair companies put me on a wait list for next available slot when known. Old Coast re-confirmed the wiring issue, but really impressed me with outside the box creative thinking for a solution. They drilled through the lower floor ceiling into an inner closet space and inconspicuously ran the new wire to the wall nearest outside A/C unit. New wiring services fees reasonable and spared me costly expense of tearing up the floor getting to the old wire conduit, along with 3rd party repairs to restore the floor. Old Coast workaround was much less expensive and labor intensive! They also provided excellent "same day" service to entire indoor/outdoor A/C system pointing out only what other repairs actually needed to endure the upcoming summer! Zach and his team replaced our entire air conditioning system a few months back. We needed it, as our system was very old and our electric bills were over $300 a month. He and his team did excellent work and were very efficient. Zach is one of the most knowledgeable guys I have seen when it comes to making your house more energy efficient. My condenser unit was making an awful sound. Old Coast sent Gary out to my house the same day I called. He diagnosed the issue immediately and gave me my options on either repairing the unit or replacing the unit. Unit is 15 years old so I knew it is coming to the end of its life. I recently moved and the air conditioner was working, but very old. Shortly there after the AC stopped cooling. I called Old Coast HVAC on the recommendation of a friend who had them install a new furnace and AC. They were happy with the work. I called Old Coast on a Sunday afternoon. The next morning Roy showed up with the technician. There was a leak. Based on the age of the unit it didn't make any sense to repair. Roy discussed the options available to me, and we moved forward with a new furnace and AC. Roy had multiple systems with different features and price points. A couple of days later Danny and Donnie (Installers) showed up with the new furnace and AC. They performed a very professional install. I thought they were very thorough. They tested for leaks in the duct work to ensure the unit was installed to cause it to be as efficient as possible. They hooked up their gauges and ensured the unit had the correct amount of refrigerant. They cleaned and checked the condensation line and ensured the condensation was flowing out of the house correctly. They installed a new drip pan, and two cut off switches in case the condensation line were to backup/overflow. The sales and installation process were very professional.

My central unit went out on New Year’s Day. They sent a tech out to repair within a couple of hours. My existing unit was 15 years old, and was in need of replacement. I purchased two new systems, and they installed them before the weekend. The techs were professional and courteous. We left them to install while we were at work. The installation was done very well, and they even vacuumed our stairs afterwards. I can’t truthfully speak to the durability of the units or the service after the install since they’re still so new. I will say I’m considering purchasing solar panels from them, so it’s safe to say I have trust they won’t let me down when it comes time for service or repair.

Absolutely fantastic company! I filled out a form on their site asking for maintenance on my heat pump and explained I work 8 - 5 on week days. (And so do many businesses, so it can be very difficult to make appointments. My experience has been that many companies say no, they will charge extra to come on the weekend, or sometimes I have to use my vacation time). I got a call a few minutes later. They offered to come out in 2 hours. That wasn’t doable - they said no problem, they’d try tomorrow. I got a text the next day that a tech was available. I texted back saying that I get home at 5:30. They timed it so the tech arrived right after I did! I couldn’t believe it. I can’t remember working with a company that is so fast, communicative, and accommodating. The tech was really wonderful, answered all my questions, and gave me a lot of great information on my heat pump and what maintenance is needed going forward. The whole experience with this company was perfect, and I’m very glad I found them. The next day, they called to ask how their service was. Just like their amazing scheduling flexibility, this is rare and very nice. I’m impressed. These people are the best - I can’t recommend them more highly!

Hey, nobody wants to call the HVAC guy . It’s never for a good reason. When I called Old Coast , my family and I had been dealing with a heater that was not functioning . Even though we live in Savannah where the winters are pretty mild , it was uncomfortably cold in our house. Right out the gate , the person who answered the phone was very friendly and helpful, which is for some reason unusual these days. We discussed the problem and set a time for the technician to come take a look. He showed up on time and was very professional. He seemed very confident and well informed , we got right to the issue, which he diagnosed quickly and decided the best thing to do was replace a component that had worn out after 17 years of continuous use. He also cleaned the outside unit and checked the functions of everything. He found out the cost for the broken part and we discussed options. Roy, Joe and Matthew were awesome! Our new upstairs HVAC unit was not working properly and the downstairs unit had just gone out. Old Coast was out within 3 hours of my call!! Joe spent all day with us fixing the upstairs unit that was not installed properly by our former air conditioning service and Roy was able to get us a new downstairs unit at a reasonable price - installation in 3 days. Matthew was “Johnny on the spot” with 2 window units to keep the downstairs at a tolerable temperature until our new unit could be installed. Joe, Roy and Matthew were professional, knowledgeable, personable, caring, displayed a sense of urgency and were a life saver. Joe, in fact, worked thru the 100+ humi-temps until he finished the job - it was a rather complex fix for our upstairs unit. I highly recommend Old Coast!!!!

John K. was efficient and friendly. He fixed the A/C that has stopped working, performed regular maintenance, and went above and beyond by investigating our attic situation. We’ve spoken with several contractors (including the last technician from this company in November 2020) about the drastic temperature difference from upstairs to downstairs. He’s among the few to go in the attic. Of those that have been up there, he’s the only one to come back with photos of the situation and show us how badly we need insulation! There’s literally none in several massive spots. Very happy with John - he gets 5 stars. Old Coast gets 3 bc in November they tried to sell us a mini split without inspecting the attic and the attic ductwork. And I find out today that they install attic insulation! 😮 But they are easy to schedule and show up quickly. That is hard to find. So...we’re probably going to do another year with them 🤷🏻‍♀️

We arrived home on July 3rd to find we had no air conditioning. I spoke with Debbie @ 8:30am on July 4th. Their service tech Dan called within a hour to report he was on the way from Grayson and would be here in an hour. He arrived in 45 minutes and was able to identify the problem quickly. He is very knowledgeable and identified and explained another issue that we might want to address. We fixed that issue too. We were relieved that, although near the end of it's life expectancy, our heat pump wasn't dead and need replacing. We were very happy with Dan and his willingness to answer some other questions we had about our heat pump. Their pricing was very reasonable given that we called on a holiday. I wouldn't hesitant to call Old Coast and ask for Dan if we need service again.

When our air conditioner/heat pump was malfunctioning we set up an appointment with Old Coast for investigation and repair. They were easy to work with and up front and honest about pricing. A lizard died on one of our capacitors and it required replacement. We received up front estimates on the diagnostic fee as well as parts and labor for the repair, which was completed the same day. Overall we were very happy with the service we received and would recommend these guys to others.

Gary guided us through the process of getting a new AC Unit installed, and made sure we had everything we needed. Of course it was hot, but that didn't stop our installers Austin and Filby!! They worked all day! A job that was supposed to be 2 hours ended up being 8 or more. The entire time, even with a house full of visiting relatives; they worked until we all thought it was working. Sadly, it was another hot Savannah night. No worries though, because after calling on Sunday morning Austin was back to correct something that none of us would have thought was an issue, and now we're enjoying the cool again! What an amazing experience with Old Coast. This was the first service call since installing the unit 2 years ago for an issue. I have a short term rental in Tybee with renters currently enjoying the island. After checking in they noticed the thermostat was blank and the condo was very warm. Old Coast performed an excellent job on recent work at my residence. They removed and replaced my existing duct system, removed and replaced batt knee wall insulation, added blown in attic insulation, removed a whole house attic fan and built a wood access cover, and repaired ceiling sheet rock in 2 areas. I was concerned that I might have to hire several different contractors to accomplish the work. Old Coast assembled their own team consisting of Anthony, Oscar and crew, and John who performed all the work saving me the headache of dealing with different contractors.

Professional from start to finish. Old Coast did an emergency repair on my old HVAC unit about a year and half ago and did such a fantastic job that I wanted to give them the business when I replaced it. I met with Roy on Monday. He arrived early and was fully prepared. When I asked him a question that he was unsure about the answer, he immediately got on his phone and got an answer for me. The new HVAC was installed 2 days later. DJ and John were awesome. When I saw how young they are, I was skeptical. Well, they proved me wrong. They were extremely professional and worked efficiently. The only reason I knew they were there was because the door was opened. There were a few hiccups along the way, but I didn’t know until after because they conducted themselves in such a professional manor. If I had a question, they took the time to answer me and show me the features of the new system. They were very well educated about the product they were installing. I also had a UV light air purifier installed. I have been having respiratory issues for quite some time. I would wake up all stuffy and had a hard time breathing. With the air purifier, the stuffiness has gone away and my house smells so much cleaner. I would highly recommend getting this product if you are having air quality issues in your home. You may find a cheaper options out there, but you get what you pay for. The service from Old Coast was top notch and I would recommend them in a heartbeat.

I was thinking about going with solar for my house, and was referred to them by a friend. Called and set up an appointment to sit down and talk about the details of getting solar. Salesman and I both had to reschedule a time or two, and they emailed me the "proposal" .... Shortly after I received a phone call for sales person. Basically all he appeared to be concerned about was my method of payment and how fast I wanted it completed. This person was not even concerned with meeting with me and discussing any details. All of this just seems very unprofessional and looking for a paycheck. I just witnessed a consultation from a different solar company in South Carolina, and that young lady was professional, had a power point presentation, basic estimate of cost and completion, and seemed to be very knowledgeable about the ins and outs of the process. Very disappointed in the treatment I received, and that I may not be getting solar for my house . After talking to the General manager and discussing the situation, he acknowledged that my situation was mishandled. He apologized, and offered to try and help me accomplish my goal. They did send out a company, and performed an energy audit on my home. By the way, if you have never had one, you may be really surprised where your electricity is actually going. Our AC went out and our warranty company assigned us to someone who could not come fix it that same day. After calling around, I found old coast who said they were busy but could squeeze us in! Dan came and was more than efficient. Fixed the problem and our AC was working in no time. Update: I received a call from Bryan, the manager, and after he read this review and verified the accuracy via phone records, etc, he promptly responded, refunded the money, and held a meeting with his workers to address the underlying issues. I again want to re-iterate that though there were some frustrations, the staff were all polite through the process, and the quality of the work done was exceptional. I have updated the review from 2 to 4 stars. While the staff were all very polite and the job was well done in the end, I was overall unsatisfied with my experience. I had to have 3 people come out over the course of 2 weeks to assess and price what ended up being a 2.5 hour job. The actual labor day had to be rescheduled multiple times after I had sat at home waiting for the worker. I signed a contract to pay $140 an hour, and was present when the worker arrived and left; a time span of 2.5 hours. I had prepaid $500 and was told I would be refunded the difference but now multiple weeks later, after 4 phone calls telling me “we will look into it” I have still not been refunded. They did call back to ensure I left a review though 👍🏼

I originally left this company 5 stars, but I’m changing it to 4. I had my entire A/C unit replaced 1 year and 1 month ago, and it just started malfunctioning. I called the company and they could not give me an actual time or window when the tech would be coming out. I had to reschedule for the next day when I had less work stuff in the way. The technician was very professional and quickly found the issue. Unfortunately through his test to find the leak, it leaked the remaining refrigerant out leaving the house at 89 degrees. The unit was covered under warranty but not the labor. So after a week and a half of me constantly having to call and get my own updates on the situation, they finally told me it would all be covered by the manufacturer (to include labor and refrigerant). The issue is now I’m last on the list again and it’s another 4 days before my unit will be fixed. If they would just call me when they said to update me and my pregnant wife, I would have stuck with a 5 star, but this company lacks in communication.

My system was needing help and Shawn was able to evaluate my units and provided the issues in great detail and answered all questions I had. They also came out less than 24 hours from the time I called which was a great response time considering I was not a current customer. Trust this company for your Trane unit or units. They responded quick , identified my issue, and let me know any issues that could cause future problems before they happen. I was also told there were a few maintenance issues and I have had my units serviced 2 times a year by another company. I will use them for all future needs of my Trane units. Beware of companies that say they service all brands. Unless they are certified in that brand they could easily miss something that could be critical to your investment I have learned. Updated review: after years of great service and great products installed, this year we had a series of mishaps (understatement) with the customer service that made us completely lose trust. It took a few weeks, but I am glad to report that the GM stepped up, personally came to apologize and is taking care of trying to fix the issue. This is the Old Coast I used to know. I guess everyone has rough patches, hopefully theirs is over and they will soon be back to the outstanding company they can be.

Roy Moore and Oscar, the HVAC technician, did an excellent job replacing the old unit in the home I just purchased. They also replaced the old duct-work entirely and hauled off all of the old materials. This project wasn’t an easy one either, because it is an old house that has old wiring and glass fuses. They even replaced the sump pump and the copper condensate line that had probably been leaking for several years. Level of skill from Oscar was very apparent and communication from Roy was very clear. I will definitely be signing up for the Old Coast maintenance program and would recommend them to anyone who needs HVAC work. Great job Roy, Oscar, & crew!

I was living in an HVAC nightmare when I met Jeff Mallett. I had another company install a brand new HVAC system at the beginning of October 2018. The system never worked properly. I went back and forth with this company for THREE MONTHS, trying (hoping) to resolve and fix the problems. The service is usually quite good. However, on the most recent visit, the technician only wore a mask for the first 10 minutes. The rest of the 2 hours he was in my home, he did not wear a mask. When he called for an additional person, that second person also did not wear a mask. I am in a high risk group, and put at risk by such behavior. I wish I had the courage to ask them to leave. He came to install a replacement thermostat, but when he arrived, he immediately began reading the instruction manual. Clearly had no idea how to install it, had never done it before, which is why it took over 2 hours.

Since moving to Savannah we have become customers of old coast. They offer the yearly maintenance plan which is great. A few months after during our second maintenance of the unit the tech noticed some mold/mildew on the backside of the door on the interior unit. He recommended that we install the UV light they offer. We did and the difference in air quality is like night and day. I honestly thought I had developed allergies but now I really think it was just due to poor air quality in the house. Just the southern humidity I suppose. I’m glad they found this and pointed it out.

The service is always at the top! we had out bi-yearly system check. we had the pleasure to have an experienced employee, William, who went above and beyond to solve our problem.William really cared about taking care of your issues. after several years of always feeling colder on one side of the house and the bonus room over garage was cold in winter and hot in summer, he found that and add on at the end of the main ductwork that was funneled to the bonus room and taking away from the air that should be going to the other side of the house.the way the system was originally designed. our 12 year old heat pump was going out and we replace that and added a seperate unit just for the bonus room that heats/cools and is extremely quiet. it has it's own little outside unit. now the whole house is properly heated and cooled, thanks to William being so observant. after all these years, no one else has ever found the problem. i'm a happy camper now!. I called on Saturday for a nonemergency service call and made an appointment for Monday/Midmorning. That would say to me 10-11AM. Didn't show up until 3:30pm. Would have called another contractor but it was under warranty. I called 3 times between noon and 2:30 and was lied to each time that "they were on their way" or "I will have him call you with ETA." Ended up needing a fan motor and said he would be back tomorrow. I asked when? Midmorning was the response. I said "LIKE TODAY???" They would not put me first on the list for the morning even though I was already in the middle of service and already paid a $79.00 diagnostic fee. ( diagnosis was done with a $20 volt meter on the capacitor. Total BS! THEN A $40.00 Trip fee on top. Finally agreed to go get part and replace that day. Good work, lousy customer service and criminal fees. Fell under parts warranty so with trip charges, diagnostics and labor, my cost for what took all of 20 minutes cost me $380.00. Warranty my butt!!
