Just overall incredible customer service & on site professionalism. I live in Cromwell & had a gas range hook up that we suddenly discovered needed to be moved in the middle of a kitchen cabinet install, because the cabinet guys messed up their measurements. The ladies at County Wide Mech. we’re so sympathetic & immediately worked with me to schedule a technician to come out the next day, everyone else I called was going to take a week to come. Then they ended up having a guy finish a job nearby early and had him come out same day! Isaiah the technician showed up 30 minutes later, he was so gracious & efficient, he moved the line with no problem, double checked everything to make sure it was all working properly, and was on his way in 30 minutes. Phenomenally fast & easy service, I’ll be using them for every gas/plumbing issue for as long as I live in the area. Nothing short of magical how quickly they were able to get the job done. I can not thank them enough!

Thursday May 13Nick and Kendell installed a new central air conditioner. The two installers were very polite and knowledgeable about their trade. When they finished the job I was very pleased. The next day Max there tech came and replaced 11 year old thermostat with a Honeywell T 4 Pro. Also set it up quickly and works great. Again thank you County Wide Mechanical for employees who are prompt and knowledgeable about the trade.

This is the third repair that I've had them handle for me. They are always so professional and responsive. Recently, Lex fixed a leak in my baseboard heater. He explained everything to me before doing the work. He also showed me where the shutoff values are on my furnace. I highly recommend their services.

Countywide installed my central air conditioning system July 20,21,22 2020. I was told when Tom and Kendall were done with the installation that everything was set properly. They worked hard and were very cordial. The system is a Variable speed air handler, two stage condenser and a thermostat (Honeywell) that could be controlled from my smart phone. I noticed over the next couple of days some issues. The compressor made excessive bang when it starts. Also the air handler and compressor always ran at the same full speed. I also was not shown how to use my phone to control the thermostat. I called in my concerns and was treated extremely well. Countywide sent a tech to look at the issue. I forget the tech name but he was cordial and tried to fix my system. He added an electrical capacitor component to the compressor to try to solve the loud banging issue.Whatever he did did not work. I called again and was cordially sent Chris Byrne who was to look at my problems and connect my phone to the thermostat. He also was unsuccessful. He indicated I would need a new thermostat to use my phone and would schedule to get it replaced. That did not happen. After days of excessive noise from the condenser I called again. Tech Isiah T. came and went through my entire system and found multiple problems. He reconfigured the air handler electronics to actually run variable, configured the compressor electronics to properly run two stage. He removed that extra capacitor that was installed earlier by a prior tech visit. He fixed everything. He even rewired the thermostat so it could connect to my phone. He was top notch, the best and really knows his trade. He even got my phone connected to the existing thermostat. By the time he left the system was running extremely well. I cannot thank him enough. However after he Left that night the compressor began loud starting surges. I have been speaking to John the service manager and he has been great to deal with. Long story short, I still get intermittent loud bang starts from the compressor. I am concerned that the hard surges could cause damage over time. I will live with it for a while but may have to make another service call. Even with all this, I still think highly of Countywide. They have been easy to work with. I am certain they care about my system and it's performance.

Isaiah provided excellent service at our home yesterday. He listened to our problem, looked at the systems and explained our options to me and my husband. We asked questions. He showed us where the problems were and what he would do. We decided to have all the work done and he proceeded and completed the work within 2 hours. We are now comfortable. Isaiah also explained future work we can do on our furnace system to provide humidity. He will provide that information so we can make a decision. Isaiah also suggested an easier-to-read thermostat for us. His service was definitely 5 star. Thank you.

Our Furnace stopped working so I called for an appointment. The staff was very receptive and helpful. Isaiah came out and diagnosed the problem and found further issues with the system. We purchased a new system and Tommy and 2 other guys were with him. All employees were great and a pleasure to work with. They all answered our questions and helped us feel better. I had another great experience with County Wide. I have a few rental properties and they have been taking care of me for years. They have always been available same day or next day. Sean who has done most of the work is great! He does a great job of explaining things and I feel like he looks out for my best interest. During my last call he walked me through the trouble shooting process where other probably would of said I needed to replace the unit. I’ve always appreciates the honesty and great customer service.

Six years ago Countywide installed a new gas furnace, hot water heater and central air for us and did a great job. They called recently to suggest a furnace maintenance visit since nothing had been done to it (except for my changing the filter) since it was installed and that seemed to be a good idea. Isaiah was the tech who did the servicing and we found him capable, bright and helpful. He also made some very useful suggestions which were timely and helpful. All in all, this was an excellent experience.

We had to replace our boiler pretty quickly. We contacted County Wide Mechanical Services because we had used them previously to install a water heater and were happy with the work done. An advisor came and met with me to go over what we would want to replace the old boiler with and what new options were now available (our boiler was 26 years old!). We went with a new oil fired boiler and indirect water heater. The installation date was scheduled for a few days later. Taylor and Enigen arrived promptly at 8:15 like they said and put down tarps and went to work on removing and installing the new system. The installation took two days which we knew from our initial meeting would be the schedule of work. At the end of the second day the system was fully up and running. Taylor went over the operation of the system with me so that I would fully understand what each component did and how it worked. We are completely satisfied with the proposed equipment, quality of work performed, the cleanliness of the work area when the job was completed, and the friendliness of Taylor and Enigen. I would recommend County Wide Mechanical Services again for another great job done!

Pricey service charge is not included if you need a fix. No advanced quotes. If ordering parts it takes a long time to get what you need fixed. Their service people do a good job though. We’ve had the Ductless air conditioning/ heating for 3 years and every year they have been here for a repair. Love the units overall though.

I would recommend County Wide Mechanical. They were super helpful in helping us replace our oil heat and convert it to gas. They were friendly, kind, quick and efficient. We had them put in a new system for us two years ago! They where so fast to come out then to ensure our 1 year old son had heat. Again today I needed them and the dispatch person was so great and responsive. They called to ensure they where on there way and came within 5 minutes of the call. The AC goes out in August so I contact Home Advisor and place a request for service. I chose Country Wide because of they had great reviews and provide a lot of service in my area (Waterbury). I can not be more impress and satisfied with the service. Nicholas Ingel is absolutely wonderful. His professionalism, attention to details and patience is of the highest caliber. I was so impressed with the service I received that I am having additional work done. I also have to commend Michelle, the customer service representative. Had no heat. We googled for a place to call since we don’t have a regular service company. The tech that came out was friendly and knowledgeable. He helped us get quotes on our options. We chose to get a new furnace installed. The call to the office was pleasant and they were able to do it next day. Two young gentlemen (Tyler S & Tom C) arrived bright and early. Even though there was room in the driveway, neither of them pulled Int the driveway until I said it was ok to do so. Both were very pleasant. The removal and installation was done professionally and they worked neat!! I would highly recommend this company. And, all of this during COVID19.

We could not have been happier with the service we received from Nick at County Wide Mechanical Services. Our gas furnace stopped working last winter, and we had another company come out to look at it and they barely even touched the furnace before quoting us $2000-3000 to fix it. And $10,000 to replace it. They couldn't even tell us what was wrong, but quoted us that ridiculous price. Nick came out from County Wide Mechanical and he was wonderful. He was so pleasant and knowledgeable about what could be wrong with the furnace. He took his time to look over the furnace and found exactly what was wrong with it. He quoted us a price to fix it to get it up and running, and a price to replace it if we wanted to go that route. He also showed us some stuff that may need to serviced down the road. But he left the decision up to us. He didn't pressure us to just replace it, like the other company did that looked at it. And at the end of the day, he was able to fix our furnace for under $800. Which was awesome! This will definitely be our go to for all of our furnace issues from here in out.

As the installation of 3 units took place approximately 4 years ago all is still good. He mad recommendations on what to do to make sure no issues in the future. When I was looking for advice about several HVAC issues, County Wide was the one company that said they could address all three. Between Isaiah and Chris, they gave good advice, and on the basis of Chris's expertise (and a reasonable quote) we hired them to install ductless A/C with a heat pump. The system we chose was eligible for a loan, and they helped us navigate that process. We were told they would send three workers on the scheduled day, so the installation would take only one day, but they sent only two, and two had to finish up the next morning. All personnel were knowledgable and very friendly. My only beef was that they didn't confirm they were coming, even to an appointment made several weeks earlier.

The folks at County Wide Mechanical were helpful and responsive during each step of the project. I had a Mitsubishi heating unit installed. Within one day of the initial call, Ken showed up to provide me with a quote. The price was significantly less than the next lowest quote. I explained that I needed the unit installed ASAP. He was able to accommodate my request. Two installers from CWM and their electrician arrived on time and completed the installation. So far everything seems to be working properly. Great job.

Although I was scheduled for an afternoon appointment, I was pleasantly surprised that their technician was able to come that morning to fix my central Air Conditioner. Ryan looked at the AC equipment in the basement and then to the outside equipment. He was able to detect the problem, explain the remedy to me and was able to fix it in a short amount of time. Having used County Wide before, I called them needing help with a boiler issue. Sean quickly discovered the problem and had to order a specialty part which unfortunately took a few days to get. I had the entire company behind me -Cheryl, one of the owners was aware of the issue and got on it. One of my AC units broke down 2 months after moving into my new home. I fortunately had a 1 year home warranty which covered part of the repair, however the insurance company dragged the entire process out for months. County Wide's office staff and Nick (the one who came out to initially quote the repair) spent a lot of time and effort contacting the insurance company to move the process along and get the repair completed. they installed a new ac and heating system in our home in 2016. I've have terrible and costly experience. They are constantly back at our house, they spend hours on the phone with customer service and charge us because they cant figure out the problems on new equipment they install. Both ac and heating units continue to be an issue. $1000's in repairs and cold winter nights and hot summer ones waiting for parts. Plus time taken out of our days waiting for them to show up. ***as of 11/2020 they did come back and assist a few open issues. will continue to update review as time goes on

It’s very hard to find a good hvac contractor. You need trustworthiness, responsiveness and competence. A good contractor is two of the three. We’ve had to settle for one of the three in the past. For this job we needed all three. Luckily, we found Tom at countywide. Tom is a technician (install, troubleshoot, repair, etc) who came through for us - on a snowy Sunday afternoon, no less. New to the northeast and just closed on our house and have absolutely no idea about gas heating. Woke up with no heat so I contacted CWMS and had a tech at the house within the hour. They were super nice on the phone and Isaiah, the technician that came out to the house went over and beyond. Not only did he fix the problem but he walked me through the whole heating system. He also taught me how to light the pilot light if it were to go out and how to turn off the system in case of an emergency. He even looked at the fire alarm and tested it to see if it worked! He double checked my fire extinguisher to make sure it was universal and was safe to use and he even put my mind at ease about our gas stove! Not to mention he made sure I knew what gas smelled like before he left. I let our realtor with William Raveis know about my experience and he said he would definitely put them down for future clients if they were ever in need. I definitely recommend them and we will use them in the future for all other services.

This company is FANTASTIC. I would highly recommend using them for your HVAC and other home improvement needs. We interviewed a lot of companies for our job, which was a complete replacement of an old oil furnace, old a/c unit, reducting of the entire upper floor (which was getting only minimal airflow), replacement of the water heater, and a conversion to propane. Their quotes were very competitive, and I chose them based on their great customer service, knowledge, and helpfulness. I have since met some of the family members who own the business, as they have come out after hours (they live in our town) to check on things or fix minor problems throughout the process. They have been extremely courteous and helpful, following up (even when I took a while to get back to them) on all our concerns, and we are very satisfied with our system. I'm quite confused with a few of the very negative reviews that I noticed when writing this one, because we've dealt with quite a few employees, and can't imagine where this would have come from. They did have a salesperson who no longer works there who caused some issues ... but they did their best to follow up after him to make sure the customers were taken care of. One of my neighbors did a similarly big job, and he is very satisfied as well.

AWESOME! My AC broke down over a holiday weekend and I called and actually got a live receptionist. We agreed at a time for a service technician to arrive at my house. The technician arrived right at the agreed time. The problem was diagnosed and repaired in 20 minutes. The price was reasonable. Maybe the most important thing was that everyone I spoke to, from the receptionist, a staff member and the technician, treated me like I was a long time important customer. Meh. Technician was nice, and seemed to be knowledgeable. But the appointment was rescheduled based on them not being able to get here. So then when they came - and i had a boiler cleaned, a hot water hetaer cleaned and myt mini split stysten cleaned - the kid technician at the end - after my $500+ check was in his hand - asked me to schedule a mini split CLEANING which i alreqady though i did. he informed me that no, he just did a 12-point checkup. AND HE QUPOTED $1100 FOR CLEANING THE UNITS!!!!!!!!!!!!! obviously not happening, when most tune-ups include the cleanig foam and cost about $55 per head.

We finally broke down and got a 2 head Daikin mini Split system installed in our house. Daikin units inside and outside are so quite. Had one minor problem 2 days after install. We had this terrible sewer gas odor in our house, off and on for sometime. We finally decided to do something about it once and for all.So we called County Wide Mechanical Services. Who came recommended courtesy Home Advisor . The guys showed up and after about ten minutes of trying pto pin point the source of the problem, they discovered an exhaust pipe that was incorrectly installed. They were able to make the necessary corrections and cleaned up and was out here in about one hour. Great job guys.Thank you.

Prior to their help, the bath fans simply vented into the attic-- yikes! The entire process including estimates and work was professional and efficient throughout. The price was good.
