Zach did a fantastic job. Very thorough. He answered all my questions and concerns. Even offered suggestions on helping my furnace run better. He was very polite and kind. I went with Pro Tech because of the DTE furnace tune up rebate program. I called several other companies they were far the BEST priced. The others were ridiculously priced way higher. I definitely would recommend.

My experience with Pro Tech was exceptional! We had a leak in our copper pipe off our water heater and John fixed it in a timely manner. Price was also very reasonable. He also gave an honest opinion on my hvac system as well as far as maintenance recommendations. Have used other heating and cooling companies in the past but will use Pro Tech in the future due to their honesty, competitive pricing, and genuinely nice people coming to your home.

I miss getting their names but the team that work my furnace on Pine island Dr Ne, are awesome really friendly nice to talk to, very profesional and detailing. Fast service and they take the time and patience to explain you everything, even what I need to do on my side to keep it running like it should. Cold is here and my furnace/heater decided to die, they came really fast and even fix a leak in my boiler that I didn’t even though about it.Really polite kind and good vibes technician’s, I have social anxiety and this gentleman’s make me feel like I been knowing them my whole life really cool to be around them,will definitely recommend and use their services again from now on. Our furnace was broken down. We looked up Goggle Top Ten Heating & Cooling Companies. For sure, picked up the first one coming up on the screen. The furnace repair estimate was "furnace is worn out, can replace for $8,000. Repairs would cost $1,800 in parts plus labour". Contacted Protect, John did a thorough diagnosis and had furnace running temporarily in about ten minutes. Said don't replace furnace as nowhere near worn out and replaced faulty parts for $480 plus one hour labour. John is also the installer of Lowes. He is very honest, on time, professional, knowledgeable, and provides very good quality of service. Highly recommend Pro-Tech Heating & Cooling.

My 98 year old Grandmother's heater stopped working unexpectedly. Pro-tech had a tech out the same day to check on the problem. They determined that because of the age and unavailability of parts, the heater needed to be replaced. Justin and Kevin showed up the very next day and had the new heater installed within 8 hours. They were very courteous, professional, and respectful of my grandmother and her space. They took the time to do things safe and correctly, explaining the entire process along the way. They installed a new heat run, an intake and exhaust, condensation pump and line, as well as upgrading out hot water heater exhaust and chimney liner, all in 8 hours. Very effecient, and they left everything cleaner than they found it. They even took time to show me all the work they did, where all the shutoffs were, how to change the filter, etc. I appreciate very much the great quality, fast turn around, and excellent customer service.

Draft motor went out on our furnace (right before bed of course). Couldn’t fix the issue myself, so I called ProTech on the recommendation of a family member. Called at 7:45am and they were here 30 mins later. Diagnosed the problem, tried repairs first to see if there was an inexpensive fix, but determined we needed a new blower. They had the parts in stock, and for a brand they don’t install. Had the heat going again by 9:45. Very happy with the experience. The technician, Zach, was very friendly, professional, and knowledgeable. Sold me on ProTech by how well he did his job. Very impressive, great experience for what could have been a huge headache. Thanks Zach and ProTech! Update: after a great experience referenced above, I called them back to prep the furnace for the winter. Sean came, did a great job, was professional, kind, and good with our dogs. Glad I gave them repeat business.

I called after business hours, about 9:30pm I think. Kevin answered my call on the first ring! He offered to come out immediately but I feared for his safety from wild animals we have that are nocturnal and I knew he’d have to be outside to repair AC condenser. We set a time for the next morning and Kevin arrived right on time. He quickly identified the problem on our aging system and had the repair done in record time. He was so nice and personable. We felt confident in his work. He checked out the rest of our system for any other problems, but found everything in good order. Highly recommend this company. We will be calling again when we are in need. He even took a look at our second, ductless wall mounted AC unit, and confirmed he can repair that one too if we ever need it. That’s a BIG plus as previous companies have not wanted to work on that unit.

AC went out end of day Friday they were here Monday ahead of schedule and fixed it very quickly. AC is as good as ever now. Tech was very professional and nice as well. Edit: Furnace started breaking and they were there next day first thing, scheduled that night even. Tech explained everything plain and simple, needed new furnace. From the get go 2 years ago when I needed repairs on my old system to my upgrades on 10/08/2020, they are true pioneers in there profession. All other's in our area which I've tried could learn allot from Pro Tech and their technicians. Furnace in my home started making unusual humming noises in January of 2022 on a weekend (of course!) I googled furnace repair and found Pro-Tech in the first few listings. A very nice woman took my call and gave me the options for getting someone to look at it. As luck would have it, the furnace quit acting up until it finally quit working this past Sunday afternoon, March 27, 2022. I spoke again with the very nice woman on Sunday afternoon and she had a technician at my house by noon the following day, Monday. The technician was very kind and professional. He pulled a couple panels off the furnace to show me that not only had the heat induced motor gone bad but that there were at least 2 cracks in the heat exchanger. This is not good from what I’ve learned and prompted a visit later the same day from the Pro-Tech sales person that was able to assess the situation and provide good, better and best furnace options. Conversation was quite pleasant, informative and no-nonsense. We scheduled first available installation time for 48 hours later. It is Wednesday, and the new furnace is running beautifully. The whole process from diagnosis to installation completion only took 3 and a half days. The entire team was easy to work with and acted very professionally. Cost was unexpected but not as high as I was expecting. Overall experience is A+. I highly recommend this company for HVAC.

Pro Tech is an outstanding business who you can count on. We know of several other people who have used ProTech for many years, and they are dedicated customers. Pro Tech may not have the fancy TV ads like some other companies, but word of mouth is a better endorsement of a company than funny ads. We will continue as loyal customers, to the point we now have an annual service agreement with them. Andy the owner is a great guy to talk with, and Zach, the service guy was very friendly and helpful. Fast service and reasonable rates on the weekend no less.

A few months back on the first “coldest night of the year” Kevin came out to troubleshoot our furnace that had stopped running. He was so helpful and reassuring. I had a few other random questions about the vents not blowing air and air duct cleaning and he did not hesitate to help me out at 11:00 at night. Fast forward to this morning, the furnace decided to throw another error code and stop running. Thankfully, it corrected itself and we were only without heat for 20 minutes. So, for the THIRD time in 20+ years, our furnace dies late on a Saturday night. It always seems to happen at a time when getting help will be more difficult than normal. I did the usual 24 hour "help" calls/messages overnight to some local services and the first to respond on (Super!) Sunday morning early was Pro-Tech. They had worked on mine a couple times in the past. Of course it was only 9 degrees outside, so I needed help ASAP. The temp in the house was falling fast. Less than two hours later a service tech was here and after a solid inspection I got the bad news: our 13 year old furnace is pretty much dead and experience has taught me, at that age, it will just keep on breaking down if we try and fix it. I agreed it was time for a new one, so within another hour a sales person was here and I placed the order. Simple and quick. Installers Trevor and CJ were here bright and early the following day to put in the new one. They were prompt, courteous and worked hard, straight with no break (in a house that was 47 degrees!) and did a very neat detailed installation of a new Amana (a reputable brand name that I grew up with) that works like a champ! Our home is now back to being toasty! Pro-tech made this whole process easy and quick. I highly recommend them. Myself, roommate, and two canines are now mighty grateful to be back in the warmth. Thanks Pro-Tech for a job well done!

Highly recommend! Heat went out on Sunday night. I had a service tech at my house within an hour. He diagnosed the problem and thoroughly checked over our furnace to insure no other issues. Service tech left a couple of heaters as the part wasn’t available until the next morning. First thing the next morning the tech was here replaced the parts and then showed my wife the broken pieces. This is by far the most amazing company ever! Had no heat on a cold night called 21 company’s that declared to be 24/7 j Just to be told that they don’t have tax or they only are 24 on the weekends and or they had no availability for 3 to 5 days I called this company they had a tech out within an hour at 10:30 at night I did find out that my furnace was gonna be way too expensive to repair so we shut it down the next day a very amazing gentleman by the name of David came out and gave me a quote make sure I understood everything even went back to the office to get me a couple space heaters to help keep your house warm since it was 54° at that point and we had a snow storm coming the following day and even got on the phone and made it happen to get my furnace installed the next day the team that came to install my furnace were very professional walked me through everything new with the furnace how do use the new thermostat make sure I understood everything and was done in five hours I am now comfortable in my home with heat watching the snowfall I will be using this company again in the spring for a new AC and water heater and they will be my go to company for the remaining time I’m in the state

Pro-Tech was absolutely amazing! We have an older home and Thanksgiving morning our water heater died, go figure on a holiday. We reached out to their convenient text consultant and within moments were scheduled for a service appt for the next morning. The service tech determined our water heater was thankfully only leaking within itself, but needed to be replaced and widen our chimney interior to install proper regulation venting. Both the service tech and installation crew were prompt, efficient, kind, honest, knowledgeable and cleaned well after removal and installation. The gentleman that came to our house for the initial quote was honest and pleasant. The price was very fair compared to numerous other quotes we’d received for the exact same model furnace. We went with Pro Tech after getting multiple estimates. Not only was their estimate the most competitive, they were also the most willing to troubleshoot future improvements in our 1900 house. Zach and CJ were great for the installation! They were on time, efficient, and professional. I was absolutely impressed with how they handled things. So impressed I decided to actually review a place. Two months ago I called around mid afternoon and was able to get a same day quote after someone came over and viewed my old leaking water heater. Two days later I had a brand new water heater (requested and got a Bradford White) installed and have had no issues. We received several quotes for AC, and at the end of the day, this was the only company we considered to do the job. Our house is 150+ years old, and therefore has some nuances to plan around. This was the only company that really seemed to focus on what we wanted in terms of AC needs while working around the restrictive historical guidelines. Update: we had our second experience with Pro Tech and it was excellent as well. Our 20 year old water heater started leaking slightly about a month ago, I had a repair guy lined up to do the job, and at the last minute communication fell through and I was scrambling to find someone before it failed completely. Called Pro Tech based on our good previous experience and they said they would prefer to do an in-person quote to make sure the quote was accurate because our current water heater wasn't installed properly to begin with. Lance came out and did the quote and was very thorough and quickly identified a few issues with the water lines we were aware of. Quote came back at just under $2200 with the additional work, which was the same I was quoted from the first guy I tried, and about $300 than another HVAC place I called. Once Lance got the quote to us we were able to schedule to have the water heater replaced the next morning between 8 and 9 am. The guys were here at 8:20 and gone by 11 and appeared to do a very nice job on the installation, replacing all the flex hoses with hard lines and replacing all the galvanized pipe up to the main line with copper. The second HVAC place to come out for a quote completely missed the issues with the galvanized water lines, and I had to point them out and ask they be addressed, otherwise they were going to leave them (or surprised us with additional charges). First review: When your furnace goes out late at night in February, you don't really have the luxury of shopping around or gathering friends recommendations for their "furnace guy." After a bad experience with a very large, very well known company last time, we rolled the dice and went with Pro Tech due to their location and overwhelmingly positive reviews. We are glad we did! They got a tech to us a few hours earlier than the original time frame they gave, and the tech was very friendly and professional, and went the extra mile to explain the issues and inspect the rest of the furnace to make sure it was operating safely and the problem wasn't part of a bigger issue. Our furnace is 25+ years old and I didn't sense any "hard sell" from the tech, and they were able to get the necessary part in a day after calling around to numerous places to find it. Overall a great experience in a near-emergency situation!

Found Pro-Tech online from their good customer reviews when our air conditioner stopped working on a 90+ degree day. Talked to Matt on the phone who was very knowledgeable and friendly. Out of all the companies we called Matt had the best customer service by far, was the most willing to help, and he also had the quickest available appointment (same day). Our technician Kevin, offered the same great customer service, was on time, fast and helpful to fix the problem, and also quoted us for a new unit. We are very happy with our choice to trust the reviews - this is a good company who will take care of you when you need them.

Had a great experience with Pro-Tech when our old A/C unit died. We called a few places the evening it stopped working and Pro-Tech was the first to respond. Brandon was here within 15 minutes. Knowing the condition of our old unit, I expected him to look it over and say there is nothing he can do. Instead he tried everything to get it running, working in extreme heat and humidity. When it became apparent that resuscitation was not going to happen we scheduled to get an estimate on a replacement. Lance came out the next day and was very informative in explaining our options. We had other estimates but felt best going forward with Pro-Tech. The following morning, Zach and CJ were at the door at 8am as promised. They were friendly, respectful of our house, explained everything, and answered all my questions. They had everything installed and looking great quickly and we were soon on our way back to a more comfortable temperature. I can’t think of anything they could have done better.

I left a 5 star review 1 year ago after having had yearly, routine furnace checks done for a few years. I was happy with their professional Service Technicians and their prompt and friendly Customer Service/Office staff who are exceptional at timely and thorough communication. I am updating my review with some detail as I have since had my ducts cleaned in the Fall (2020) and recently had service done to my VERY old furnace that stopped working early on a cold, January (2021) morning. I am happy to say that my 5 star review stands. I was very happy with my duct cleaning and my furnace maintenance. The Techs that came out were professional, helpful, thorough and maintained exceptional communication before and throughout my service call. I also appreciated their explanation of charges before doing any work to allow for any questions or clarification on what they were doing - this goes for both the duct cleaning and furnace repair. As a final/side note during the pandemic, for those that are curious: all Tech's that came out did mask up before entering my house, which I appreciated. I have recommended Pro-Tech to many friends and family in the area and will continue to use them myself.

We got Pro Techs info from a family member who recommended them to us. We contacted them and they had a rep out to our house in the first 48 hours of us calling them. He was nice, detailed and easy to communicate with and wasn’t pushy at all about trying to sell us something we didn’t need/want. I have to say, I’m extremely impressed with Protech Heating & Cooling. Neva contacted me to set up an appointment for the initial evaluation to assess the type of ventilation system I have. She was so courteous & polite. She stayed in constant communication with me. I wanted to make sure that whomever would be coming, they’d be aware of my Service Dogs. I always like to let people know, in case they may be frightened or allergic to dogs. One of mine is a senior on a hospice plan & the other is a little rambunctious at 13 months in training. FYI: they all love dogs :) Kevin came to do the evaluation & unfortunately for me I was having difficulty speaking because of my breathing disability. He was empathetic, understanding & never judged me for the way I spoke. He explained to me everything that would be happening & they cared enough to recommend I stayed away for a couple hours while the ducts were being cleaned. The dust that could potentially escape could have had serious consequences for me. They look out for their customers. Neva was especially understanding in how I could communicate without a voice. She let me know when the next Kevin would be arriving, what to expect, when to come back. I absolutely loved having this communication. Kevin #2 showed to do the duct work & I don’t usually leave my keys to my home with anyone. I felt very confident & every employee I had the pleasure to interact with, were absolutely amazing! Kevin did an awesome job & asked if I had any questions when the job was finished. He didn’t leave until he knew I was satisfied! Protech Heating & Cooling has to be one of the best businesses I’ve dealt with in a very long time. Everything looked perfect when I came back inside my place. I initially called for service on an existing unit with which I was having challenges with. I contacted Pro-Tech about 9:00pm on a Sunday Evening via email requesting a service visit the next day between 1:00 and 4:00pm. The next Morning I received a call acknowledging receipt of the email and letting me know a Service Tech would be calling on his way out between 1:00 and 4:00. The Service Tech Brian called and showed up about 2:00. I was not there but my wife was. Brian diagnosed the problem and gave me the information I needed to make an informed decision as how to proceed. He was able to provide a quote on repairs vs replacement. He set an appointment for the Sales Representative Lance the next day. Lance called on his way to the appointment to let me know he was on his way. He showed up on time with prepared information to make our time productive. I was able to confidently place an order at that meeting. Later in the afternoon He called me with an installation date two days later on a day I requested due to time off. The Installers Gage and Kevin showed up on time on the installation day and went over what they would be doing. I had to leave for 1 1/2hrs. and left them to work on the installation. When I returned the installation was near completion. Kevin thoroughly went over the new Programable Thermostat and set my heating temperature and cooling temperature. Gage was completing the pressure check while Kevin and I were talking. Gage was very informative and answered my questions thoroughly. The installation was neat, clean and I thought quick. I was so impressed with the quality of the service I signed a Maintainece Contract on my Furnance, Air Conditioner and Water Heater. Gage assisted me with the Agreement to be sure it was complete. Neva and Sierra in the office were very knowledgeable. They provided information so I was again able to make an informed decision on the Maintenance Agreements. Overall I am extremely impressed with the Quality Service, Responsiveness and Commiment to Excellence that I experienced with the Team at Pro-Tech. A special note of Thanks to the Service Tech Brian for letting me know what he could do and more importantly what he could not do. His knowledge, honestly and willingness to get answers (he called for information while there) made a Sale and more importantly a Satisfied Client. I highly recommend Pro-Tech for Quality Service, Fair Prices and Great Products. You will not be disappointed.

My AC unit went out during a heat wave the summer before last. Pro-Tech was very quick to get someone over to my house to quote and schedule a replacement. The install team showed up the very next morning and were done before the heat of the day set in. Very impressed with how quick they were to respond. Pro-Tech is top notch. I submitted an inquiry for a new furnace quote after hours, and within 4 minutes received a call to schedule an appointment. During his visit lance carefully explained the various options for new furnaces and components, and was not at all pushy or "salesy." I had another HVAC company quote the job, and Pro-Tech was by far the lowest price. Communication with Sierra and Justin was great throughout the process, and the install techs (Jake and Trevor) were very informative, professional, and accommodating. Jake informed me that the water heater exhaust vent and chimney liner was too small and not up to code (potential health and safety hazard), and offered to get it taken care of while they were there for the furnace. A quality, trustworthy operation all around.

Okay, so first things first the salesmen i dealt with, Lance, didn't try to shaft me and try to make me buy something i didn't need. He was professional and kind when we discussed my issues and needs. Lance was extremely knowledgeable on my old furnace and explained both its strengths and its weaknesses, (he was right about them all i checked after he left to make sure), then he proceeded to tell me about the new ones and all their features. Once i decided to go with this company, which was an easy choice by the way, we moved on to getting the new furnace and A/C purchased and installed. Once we got a date picked we set a time and the installers came out. I truly don't believe i could have had a better install crew. Zach and CJ both were knowledgeable, and kind, and willing to discuss and see what my thoughts were during the install process. It took them two days to do my install, however, looking at the final product i was inside jumping up and down and squealing like a small child in happiness at how nice it looked. Everything AND I MEAN EVERYTHING was done properly and right, no cutting corners no taking shortcuts. They took the time to make sure my product was installed correctly and fully. Which is a new concept for me since i keep getting contractors that cut corners and do horrible work. Lastly and most importantly to me is how nice they were to my cats when they entered my house. I will always be recommending this company to my friends and family. If you do decide to go with this company i sure hope you get Zach and CJ as your install team! My furnace stopped working on a Sunday morning and I had to call almost every HVAC place that was open on a Sunday. Every place that I called told me that somebody would be getting a hold of me soon to let me know what they could do. That’s understandable for a Sunday but with two small children and the house already being 52° it was a little bit worrying. Protech told me that somebody could be there in an hour and a half and they were much cheaper than all of the other places that I called which quoted me over $200 just to come out to the house. When Sean from protech got to the house he was knowledgeable, kind, quick, friendly and on time. thankfully it was a quick fix and Sean got heat back on promptly. He told me that he was able to bypass the problem and would order the part and call me to schedule the service. The furnace worked as promised and they came out to replace the part that was necessary and when they did so it only took about 10 minutes. Overall very satisfied with protech and Sean. I would definitely use them again if I ever came across another problem!

Based on a friends recommendation, we called Pro-Tech to come out to look at our air conditioner that wasn't working during the really hot stretch of weather. Long story short, our air conditioner was DOA, so we proceeded with getting several quotes for both new air and furnace. Pro-Tech’s quote wasn’t the highest nor the lowest, but that wasn’t our only consideration. Looking at it as a 20 year investment, any marginal difference in price over 20 years is rather insignificant. We were impressed with how the sales associate educated us on all of the different options and helped us arrive at what was the best for us. Made our choice and they were able to install within 4 days. Installers…on-time, professional appearance, used mats to protect our floors, explained their plan before and along the way and, in general, really nice guys. Their workmanship was great…they take pride in their work and it shows. Cleaned up after and walked us thru the features of our new equipment. At no point did my wife and I second guess our decision to go with Pro-Tech. No doubt, we’ll use them in the future and recommend them to friends and family. A++ Thanks again guys!

When the tech arrived, he listened to the issue and what I had done already to troubleshoot. Kailey (office admin) was extraordinarily kind and took care of all the details. I had arranged to be the first stop on the schedule at 9:00. When the technician wasn’t there by 9:15, I called and was told he was at another stop, & would come to me after he was finished there, between 9:00-12:00, which was NOT what we had arranged. I waited three days so I could be the first stop and NOT have to wait three hours! He showed up at 11:15. This was a furnace and water heater inspection. He found three gas pipes that needed a hanger to support them. Three strips of hanger wire, 6 screws and less than 10 minutes later, my bill had increased $105 - which is $630/hour, billed as 3 minor repairs at $35 @. I guess that is pretty normal, but seems pretty egregious to me. Kevin, the technician, seemed knowledgeable and was friendly and personable. I’ll use these guys again because they seem to know their stuff, but who makes $630/hour? I understand overhead and trucks and insurance and uniforms, but $630/hour???!!!

Ciara (Sorry if I spelled the name wrong) was super friendly and got me scheduled while noting what issues I was having. I had an appointment time for the following day within 5 minutes of calling. Simple and quick, which I appreciate. Ciara called back later to let me know they had a technician available to come out same day! Unfortunately I was away from home so I couldn’t take advantage of their early availability but I really appreciated the call. I had a window of 1pm - 4pm the following day and got a call from Ciara around 2pm to let me know that my technician, Zane, would be at my home soon. Zane arrived within ten minutes and was quick to diagnose and resolve my issue. He was thorough, professional, and very polite answering all my questions. Fortunately for me, the issue was minor and I was only charged a small service call diagnostic fee. Very fair and worthwhile price for peace of mind and my issue resolved. I was able to pay on the spot via check, cash, or credit card. I prefer to use a card, which was zero hassle and I had an emailed receipt within minutes. The overall experience from first call to service completion could not have been better. This was my first time using Pro-Tech. I had a not so great experience having my AC serviced last year by another company and did not want to go back to them again. Pro-Tech was faster, more professional, and the service call charge was less expensive than the guys I used before. Pro-Tech has earned my repeat business if/when the need arises. We had 7 estimates for new furnace and a/c at our home. Pro-Tech's estimate was the 2nd lowest however the company with the lowest estimate had inferior products as compared to the Amana products. Installers did a very professional installation and paid attention to all of the small details giving us a fantastic installation. Hat's off to Pro-Tech and their entire team! On one of the hottest evenings so far of the year my a/c went out. I called 4 companies in my area that said they were open 24/7. Two of them said “sorry can’t come until next week” and two did not answer at all. Our furnace quit working and I called never having done business with Pro-tech heating and cooling. Within 2 hours John was at the door. He determined it wasn’t a part failure. It was corrosion in the parts that make the furnace fire. He cleaned everything out and our furnace it back running. No high pressure he explained to me what they do in a pre season tune up. Which I will do as a preventative maintenance. I have found the company I will call for all my futures needs. The whole Pro-Tech experience was top notch. They earned my business for sure.

He was extremely informative, showing me how to deal with the situation if it ever happened again without needing to call them. Last Fall I cut the line to our AC unit while trimming the hedges. So yesterday I asked my friend and Pro-Tech rep, Lance Walters come and look at it for me. Here are my impressions from that meeting. 1)Lance was excellent at thoroughly spelling out my options. He made it so I could make an informed decision on what to do. He figured out that the unit was 26 years old and would cost $1000+ to repair given they no longer manufacture the coolant (Freeon) the unit needed. Plus the unit had already exceeded it's 20 year life expectancy. That information made it clear to me why it made sense to get a new unit. Then Lance went over the options on purchasing a new unit so that I knew what I was getting. Good news is the new unit will be more efficient so in the long run it will cost less to operate! 2) Speedy service. We may have relatives coming to stay with us once the quarantine is relaxed so we were hoping the installation wouldn't be scheduled out too long. Turns out the are coming out tomorrow! 3) Exceeded expectations. I was surprised when Lance suggested we a unit with less capacity than our old unit. He explained AC reduces humidity while cooling the air. Our old unit cooled quickly but left with us feeling cold and clammy as the shorter run time didn't allow enough time to reduce the humidity in our house. Reducing the capacity costs less too! Lance recommended I put in a line guard to cover the outside line and make it blend in more with the outside of our house. Also a great way to make sure I don't nick the line again while trimming my hedges. Thank you Lance for taking the time to help us sort out our AC issue. You are one "cool" dude!
